Customers love the LG 65" Class CX Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV (2020) for its exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and smooth gaming experience. They appreciate the easy setup, thin design, and user-friendly remote control. While some find it expensive, many believe it's worth the investment. A few concerns mentioned include potential burn-in and the quality of the built-in speakers.

    Absolute best gaming TV ever!

Let me start this review off by going right at everyone's fear that want to buy an Oled TV but fear the word "Burn in" by stating the history of OLED TVs I've owned. I am a heavy gamer and my tv is on for over 8+ hrs a day between my little one, my wife and then myself gaming at night. I had a C6 that developed burn in after 2 years (roughly 8000 hrs in) gaming heavy and not understanding the whole "burn in effect". My warranty replacement was the C8 and I gamed even longer and harder on this set and had 0 burn in effects. The company has made huge strides in helping almost eliminate this from happening. Can it happen if you leave a static image on screen for hours upon hours, weeks after weeks, months after months? Yes! But knowing this and just in generally speaking, not many people watch the same thing every day for hours on end without mixing it up? It's very rare with these current models because of all the tools LG added to the TV like Screen shift, Screen saver, Logo Luminanve Adjuster and Pixel Refresher. You do not have to worry about burn in with these new sets. First off, the picture quality is top notch. I dont think there is another tv on the market (especially at $2800) that produces this level of on screen beauty. Color accuracy, pure black levels really make the colors pop off the screen, amazing contrast, etc... Anyone who says these tvs dont get bright enough have not sat in front of the tv. Its blinding! The HDR is beautiful! The upscaling is the best this series has ever had to offer. I believe they stressed the new A9 gen 3 chip was heavily focused on improving the upscaling, and you can really see it with this model (especially coming from a C8). The AI Picture and Sound features are huge upgrades and the great thing about them is you get to see a first hand example of their effects in the tv setup options. The AI picture mode really does a great job with human faces. The AI sound mode really helps single out the talking over the loud background sounds. In general it makes the tv so much louder at lower volume settings. Now on to the reason I wanted this TV so bad and what makes this tv the best in the business. It is designed to be a gaming tv. Usually when you think Oled, you are thinking about a high quality 4k movie watching tv. Well now not only is it that, but now it's a top notch gaming tv that easily rivals the best gaming monitors out there. It is fully future proof for the new systems coming. The tv has HDMI 2.1 which the new systems will take advantage of. It has insanely low response times with 4k 120hz BFI (Black Frame Insertion. It comes with built in Nvidia G sync and VRR. The Xbox X currently let's you use VRR and auto low latency on this tv along with 1440P 120 if desired. Graphically it's the best looking tv I've ever gamed on. The HDR lighting is much improved from my C8. I think because this set gets a bit brighter than my C8. It also has Dynamic tone mapping which adds a beautiful little extra brightness to your game picture quality (if you prefer it). And it also has HGIG but as far as I understand, not many games use it currently so I notice the lighting still looks better with Dynamic Tone Mapping alone without the HGIG. Also I notice in faster moving games that I have more control. Like in NHL Hockey 20 and Call of Duty, I can actually feel a difference in what I assume to be the better response time with VRR and Auto low latency checked on. I'm not sure what exactly technology is working here but all I can say is what I physically feel. And it's an improvement from my C8. (More control) I cant imagine how it's only gonna get better as the new systems are improving these areas. I must apologize for all the things I've left out, like the amazing operating system WebOS which is silly smooth and fast controlled by the magic remote (which is like a Wii remote you point and click). Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, HDR 10. All in all, I highly and strongly recommend this tv for anyone looking to upgrade. If you are a movie buff or a gamer, this tv is a no brainers. The best part is it is close to $1000 cheaper than its usual release price. Kudos to LG for getting it out with a great price point. Get this tv and enjoy its beauty! Pictures I post dont do it justice. My camera cannot capture the detail and it add blooming that is not visible on my tv. Black is black!

Amazing picture quality out of the box. Minor tweeking of settings to adjust to you liking makes it even better. I really like the remote and the OS is great and responsive. I'm using a Roku Ultra with it and not the native apps, but I have tried them out and they do work great. It's super thin. Like afraid I'm going to snap it in two thin. The included stand sits the TV about 2 inches off the surface it's sitting on which is ridiculously low. If you are not mounting it to the wall and are using a soundbar under the TV, it will block the TV. I'm going to have to get a tabletop mount stand to lift the TV up from the top of the surface and it's a great solution but should I have to spend $100 on a stand on a $2000 TV so my soundbar doesn't block the bottom of it? No. The stand needs to be a couple inches taller. Burn in was my major concern going with OLED, but these newer sets have settings that can help with reducing your risk. Best Buy's Geek Squad warranty also covers burn in so just get that if it's that much of a concern for you. The picture quality difference coming from a 2019 Vizio Quantum M series to this is night and day. Seeing 4k Dolby Vision on the LG is sort of like seeing HD for the first time back in 2005. Jaw dropping and we'll worth the risk of burn in. I have a Series X and PS5 hooked up to it via eArc and it is absolute craziness playing games on it. Response time is insanely good with no sacrifice to image quality. Auto game mode works so well, it's so nice not to have to manually turn on low latency everytime I play a game. Best TV I've ever owned. It's been my dream TV since I first saw this series years ago and I was finally able to get it and am beyond pleased with it so far. It was between this set and the Vizio P Quantum X for me, about a $600 price swing. If it's within or near your budget and your thinking of saving a few bucks to get a Vizio or something, don't. Spend the extra couple hundred and get this LG OLED. It is so worth it and blows everything else out of the water.

Waited a longtime to make a TV change. I have been using a plasma for the last 10years and had not upgraded because of motion issues. Any LCD or form of LCD that has come out in the last 10 years I could not watch for more then five min because of motion issue. After finally pulling the trigger and moving from plasma to OLED I could not be happier. First off no motion issues and the picture is as smooth as the plasma. Second moving up to 4K UHD from 1080p HD has been great. The LG CX is great at dealing with older content and upscaling the 720p / 1080p to 4K for this screen. With the new update to the firmware to enable all ports to run 2.1 HDMI @ 48Gbps you can't go wrong. This TV is ready for today and tomorrow as well. The built in Smart webOS is a great change and really easy to use. I was a little reluctant on moving over to the magic remote that comes with the LG TV's. I was not sure about the Wii style remote with a cursor on the screen. The remote also lets you use the basic up/down/left/right as well but I found the cursor on the screen with the Wii style to work really well.

One of the best TVs ive ever owned and my first non-Samsung. This TV has amazing color, great gamer options with HDMI 2.1, AMD Freesync Ultimate VRR, G-Sync support with a connected PC & NVIDIA GPU, voice control & great smartphone/home connectivity features. The one downside seems to be a few little quirks when changing between having your last inout as your Plaustation 5 or PC & then jumping to a streaming service before going to your TV input as sometimes you turn on the TV and wind up booting up your PS5 even though it wasnt the last thing actually used. Other than that this has all the features you would want for next-gen gaming with beautiful HDR Deep Color & up to 120fps hdmi 2.1 support for under $2000 for the 65". Ive owned mkre expensive Samsung tvs up until now but I can say this OLED is the smoothest, option packed & affordable option I have ever owned.

this 65" OLED is absolutely amazing.... I've been rocking a $500 4k TV for years now and the difference in quality is very large. This thing upscales stuff much better, and the quality 4K streams/Blurays are stunning. I don't have any issues with the remote like it seems other reviewers do, works just fine. I use a apple TV 4k a lot of the time but the app system on the TV itself is good as well, switching inputs is easy and it's good at telling which ones are connected or not and also knows how to label what they are (sony blu-ray, apple tv, playstation, etc) I will say though, the only negative is how sketchy it is to unbox and set up. LG engineers were so caught up with if they could make it this thin that they clearly never stopped to think if they actually should. It legitimately ripples/wobbles if you pinch one corner and wiggle it a little bit, it's seriously impressive and cool to look at once it's all setup but mannn was I a sweaty nervous wreck getting it face down onto my bed, putting on the stand and then getting it over to it's final resting place in the living room. Multiple people is highly recommended, or one strong person. Luckily it's so thin my cat's brains don't even register it as a potential thing to climb on/mess with haha Pic attached, F2 savannah cat and Bowers & Wilkens 600 series speakers for scale

Wow, watching OLED picture is just incredible. It’s perfect, out of something like 8 video modes that are actually AI controller and switched to perfect mode by itself, then 3 or 4 modes like filmmaker have settings preset for the most natural colors, and there is nothing you can find to fault the quality of the picture, and you can adjust any off them to your liking and if anything, reset back to original. The blacks are just unreal, there is no purpose at all in buying old LED TV technology, the Dolby Vision scenes pop to life like ...real life. Oled is the future, and it’s worth every penny, you get quality. I love the movie theater feeling when the screen is completely black... it’s like it’s powered OFF for a few seconds, and then programming comes back...Just like in movie theater when projector lamp is off haha. I wish I could afford 77 or 85 inch oled, but this 65 just blows you away with accuracy and just perfect picture and I would not go back to LED after knowing how perfect the picture could be if you just get the right thing.

This TV is incredible! I picked this up after having a PlayStation 5 and looking to have a 4K TV that could take advantage of the console. I did my research and everyone seemed to agree that this was the best TV to experience the newest generation of consoles on. It has the HDMI 2.1 ports to actually get 120 FPS in 4K resolution, so I made the leap from Christmas sale 4K TV’s to a regularly priced one for that. Video games aside, this TV has amazing picture with Dolby Vision for HDR, which carries a huge color palette and makes things look vibrant. The black is insane for a TV as well, being an OLED screen, which is something I didn’t know I needed, but it does make things pop quite well. All in all, this was a purchase I wasn’t sure I really needed to make initially, but after seeing the results... I’m very happy I made the purchase! If you buy this TV, you will be pleased with it as well, I promise.

The most amazing picture I’ve ever experienced. LG did not disappoint. The colors are so true and vivid. It’s so very slim which adds to it being an easier fit to any room. It’s user friendly with the apps and the magic remote is an extra cool feature as you can navigate like a mouse. I purchased back in December 2020 and here we are now 2022 and I’ve no regrets and I’m still wow’d!! It had been awhile since I purchased a TV and I expected a user manual. This hardly comes with instructions. I’d suggest watching videos about unboxing before even opening your beauty and plan for some research to unleash its full potential.

This is a five star tv, nuff said. Just returned the Vizio P65Q9-H1 QLED, not even a fair comparison at all in turns of excellent upscaling even from sd source is fantastic! That were the quality starts, how well a tv can take a standard resolution source make it clear & sharp is everything, than your blown away from 1080p to 4K easily. Great color, sharpness & side viewing and very good sound from this tv is just a added bonus. The only be negative is it’s expensive, yea unfortunate you’re going to have to pay for quality...

This TV has the best image quality of any TV I've ever owned or watched. My favorite feature is the AI that auto detects the best image setting based on the content -- wether it's UHD, HDI, Dolby -- and adjusts the TV image accordingly. Additionally, the same AI upscales HD content to 4K and it looks so great that it's almost indistinguishable from true 4k. It feels like having a real home theater. I just wish the sound AI would work even for external speakers such as the Sonos Arc (it currently only supports the TV internal speakers) The WebOS is pretty easy to navigate. The new ultra sound Magic Remote is pretty cool too. It has a mouse like pointer making it much easier to navigate the screen. I also like that it has Amazon and Netflix hotkeys and programmable number pad keys, which you can assign to other apps (Hulu, Apple, ect) as well as any other actions. Just a word to the wise: if you're planning to use bluetooth headphones connected to the TV, beware that a Sonos Arc connected to your HDMI port will override your bluetooth headphones automatically. One work around is to connect the headphones to your streaming device directly. That way, when the bluetooth headphone is on it overrides the Sonos.

The best tv i have ever owned. The picture quality it truly amazing. I got it mainly for the series x gaming.. but did i get more than i bargained for! The movie quality is jaw dropping and the tv putnout aome very theater like bass and treble without a sound bar. Gaming on 120hz at 4k is a game xhnager especially for call of duty. I had a 4k tv sharp and upgraded to this and even just upgrading tva is like buying a new graphics card everything is amazing. Only 1 thing is... the tv is so thin it is scary to handle. Seems durable but still its like paper thin.

THE BEST GAMING TV EVER!!!! (4K DISCS TOO)! WOW. I've had a high end Samsung LED QUHD TV for four years now and after turning this baby on, WOW. You cannot get better than this. I popped in God of War on my PS5 and was blown away. LoTRs in 4k looked amazing too. The blacks are black as night. This TV just disappears in dark scenes and the contrast with brights and colors - WOAH. I waited/searched for 4 months until this TV came back in stock and let me tell you - it was worth the wait. 12/10!

I had a 2011 47inch samsung 1080p tv for years, and the tv still isnt missing a beat. However, due to the covid 19 stuff, I found my family and I staying inside more often. I went back and forth between top of the line tvs and the things that are important me. This tv has just about all that we need. We cant go to the movies so now I have brought the movies to us. It also has the 4 hdmi 2.1 ports for next gen gaming and the speakers are great on the tv and I'm looking forward to using the new pl5 bluetooth speakers as rear speakers since the TV's speakers are more than adequate and I dont need a soundbar. Delivery was great and the tv arrived undamaged. I did also purchase the 5 year warranty as this is my first oled. Overall, this tv so far is a WIN. Glad to have given Oled/LG a shot.

The CX provides great image quality for movies and games. The CX includes all the essentials like 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. OLED black levels really make a difference in image quality compared to led. This tv also has great speakers out of the box with Dolby Atmos built in for virtual 3D surround sound. It’s the ultimate gaming tv with Nvidia G-sync and AMD premium V-Sync with the new update. These amenities make this TV fully equipped to handle the Next generation consoles right around the corner.

At first you may ask, “Why should I spend $2000 plus on a 65” 4K TV when I can get one for well under $1000?” The answer is simple. This OLED TV is leaps and bounds better picture quality over the confusingly-similarly-named QLED TVs. OLED’s offer truer blacks than ever. If you don’t think that matters, try watching something dark (suspense movie perhaps?) in a dark room. A backlit display will have dark-grayish bars which can detract from the movie experience. The LG CX has completely black blacks. They are so dark that if you have an all black picture (think cut scene in a movie) you can’t even tell if the TV is on or off. The in-tv apps are top-class. Much to my surprise, there is AppleTV built in, so you can save yourself a few hundred bucks by not having to buy a new AppleTV to get the best picture quality out of your Apple-ecosystem content. The mouse-like interface of the TV is great and intuitive as well. Pair this TV with a decent sound bar (think Sonos or Bose) and you have an enviable home theater system in your home.

LG, you made a believer out of me. This OLED TV is just wonderful to look at, not to mention watching 4K movies. If you're a woman, and you're planning to propose to your BF, just buy him this TV. You are a keeper if you do. I can't stop watching movies in this bad boy. It's just super clear. The sound, oh boy! I was a little worried there for a second. But once I've mounted it on our wall, played a movie, it was just amazing. It has bass, can replicate a surround sound... pure joy! The functionality on this TV is just well thought out. I dont need my Apple TV anymore. They have different channels such as Youtube, Hulu... what can you ask for?! And dont forget about the remote. How I wish, all remotes are build by LG. Very happy LG.

Had been using a Sony Bravia x900e 49" tv for the past year or so but i didnt like the halo effect i would get on a dark image. Decided to upgrade to an OLED and omfg i love this tv. From the look to the images this tv is a beast. Legit two other people in my family have now bought this tv after seeing mine. There's nothing to think about just by it. You will need two people to get it in place though. Screen is thinner than a pencil so an extra hand is a must. You will no regret your purchase you have my word. I honestly regretted the sony the entire time i had it. Send the 2,200 and save yourself an extra tv upgrade. I will not need an upgrade until 8k is were 4k is now. Only suggestion is maybe wait till February for the 2021 line up and the CX should be at least 300-500 dollars cheaper
