Best TV I’ve Ever Owned

The LG G2 is the best television I’ve ever owned. While the newer G3 might exceed it on specs, the current price point made this purchase a no-brainer. The mounting system is simple enough that one person can handle 90% of the work themselves. And once it’s mounted? It’s like a magic trick. I’ve had multiple guests marvel at how flush it sits against the wall. Viewing angles are flawless, blacks are out of this world — all the things you expect out of OLED. Coming from the Samsung ecosystem, which I never loved but has gotten used to after many years, I was nervous about adapting to a new brand’s OS. LG’s interface is easy and intuitive. The magic remote takes some time to get used to, but once its usability clicks, its great. But the real thing you wanna know is “how’s the picture?” Outstanding. Bright, so bright it took adjustment (on my end, not the television’s) to fully appreciate. I’ve worked in color grading and color timing for film and television, and this television doesn’t disappoint me one bit. Grateful for filmmaker mode, which I use as default. Dolby Vision is excellent and vibrant. I’ve spent hours just watching 4K YouTube videos of colors washing across the screen. I have zero complaints about this television. I use a soundbar, but before I hooked it up I gave the television’s audio a spin. Much beefier than I’m accustomed to for tv speakers. All around, I’ve never been as happy with a television as I am with the LG G2.

I did extensive research before buying this 65inch TV and feel very happy about it. The colors are amazing as well as the brightness, dolby atmos, and HDR. The TV is also very responsive and fast. I addition I love the shape, it is super thin. I really don't see any dowside.

I have waited far to long to purchase a OLED TV in away I’m glad I did now that LG came out with the G2 models in different sizes it is brighter now than some older models also it has a new processor in this model and the picture is amazing when people come over they all comment on how it looks I have had plasma TV’s and when they first came out it was the best picture on the market so when they said they weren’t going to make them any more is when I bought my second one with the introduction of 4K that changed everything there are some great looking LED TV’s out there but nothing compares to this LG OLED I bought this one 3 months ago and now with Black Friday sale going on the 65 ‘’ is $2199. That’s less than I paid and it was $700. Off if you’re thinking about buying an OLED do it now you won’t regret it you have 15 days to return it if you’re not happy I bought total tech and they give you 60 days to return it plus a a 2 year warranty at no cost when you get total tech and free installation we wall mounted ours with the sanus 4D wall mount it looks like I’m on the field when watching football and my wife’s movie’s on hallmark with the outdoor scenery looks fantastic I have done my research and the reviews were spot on there is complaints with LG remotes not having fast forward buttons and pause but we use our Roku remote for the TV once you have everything dialed in with the LG remote we really don’t need to use it Hope this help’s if you’re on the fence about spending the money

Best Oled TV!

I always wanted a Oled because I wanted perfect black . I decided to sacrifice and I bought the LG 2G 65" and I love it! It's super bright and some times it's too bright that it hurts your eyes. Set the colors to warm feels more natural . You need to adjust the colors and setting for your taste. Great for gaming and for movie. With the Dolby Vision is available put the tiv on vivid colors with smooth on natural . you'll love it. Gaming on PC is a blessing!

I bought this used like new from Best Buy during the Super Bowl sales. I also have a C2 that I purchased during Black Friday.
The picture quality is very close between the two. I was going to buy another C2 but the price difference was just around $200 and after seeing this comes with a wall mount, that made it a no brainier. The mount is amazing and the TV sits so close to the wall it's the first thing people notice, they ask, "how does the TV do that?" Lol Its pretty cool :)
With all that said, with the price difference only $200 and the fact that I was going to wall mount it, it's a no brainier. If it's $600 or more then you have to ask how much the wall mount means to you or if you will wall mount it all.
Also, it'd be good to do some research and make sure that your viewing environment can benefit from an OLED :)

I have always been a Samsung buyer till now. I first bought the S95b. The TV was bent which seems to be a common problem with that set. The picture on it was great till they started updating it. On top of that, the Tizen software is horrible. I had to push the button on the remote 2 or 3 times before it would register. Thank god I have Best Buy Total Tech. All I had to do was call and pay a little extra for the LG G2, and it was delivered a few days later. This TV has an Amazing picture and is built like a tank. The G2 is a good bit brighter than the C2. I have rewatched all of my movies. All together a great buy.I took a few pictures of Transformers The Last Knight.I did have one issue with this TV. For a few days the screen had some uniformity issues when watching HDR Dolby Vision content. Somehow the TV fixed itself by doing a pixil refresh when I turned it off. Now it looks flawless. Knock on wood. Overall very happy!!!!

Switched over to 65” G2 after my S95B panel died in a few weeks. The G2 had slightly less pop in reds, yellows, and greens compared to the S95B especially on the Xbox but the upsides outweigh these downsides. Overall the build quality felt much sturdier, no significant flex when adjusting using wall mount and the panel is covered for up to 5 years. Heat sink on the G2 is a plus as well and Operating interface is much smoother. Magic remote just makes it easy. Whites and blues are very bright with whites having similar intensity as the S95B. Movies and gaming in dolby vision look outstanding. Decided to wait a few years until the QD OLED becomes reliable.

Best TV I've Ever Owned

On 11/25, I purchased the LG G2 55in OLED TV. However, just merely a week later, the 65inch model went on sale WITH an LG soundbar (something I really wanted) for an absolute steal of a deal. I was pretty mad that I had just mounted my new 55inch TV just a few days before and this new deal should've been there for Black Friday, but thankfully, I was well within the window of exchanging the TV for the bigger one with the soundbar and only paying the difference. Getting the 65 inch was a game changer; I thought it wouldn't be much of a difference, but it really made a big difference. I have the TV wall mounted and the 65 inch just takes up more of the wall, and it just looks amazing; family loves it too. I've copied my review for the 55inch model below:
So I previously owned a Sony A8F OLED (55in.) that I bought back in 2018, and it was amazing. At that time, I had intended to buy a Samsung TV, but the Best Buy employee convinced me to go with an OLED because it was being sold for a great price at the time. I didn't do any research and just bought the OLED on a whim thinking, "well, it's OLED, so it can't be beat." Well, I was wrong.
Fast forward 4+ years later, and that Sony TV was sold. Yes, it was a great TV, and at the time, a great value for the price I got it for. However, issues such as reflection, lack of gaming features, and overall low brightness did bother me a good bit. The icing on the cake for this one was the fact that it didn't have HDMI 2.1, which is needed to take full advantage of the PS5, so I sold it.
Initially, I was going to go with the Samsung S95B OLED TV, but when I went into the Best Buy store, my mind changed fairly quickly. Yes, this TV is significantly more expensive than the Samsung OLED, but it is absolutely worth the extra cost. The brightness is almost as good as Samsung, but doesn't overly enhance the colors, especially reds (a huge issue with the Samsung OLED). It offers any and all gaming features you could ask for, be it AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync, low latency, Variable Refresh Rate, etc. And once the TV is calibrated, it has the very best and most natural, realistic colors I've ever seen on a TV. Seriously, any TV I look at now is a complete downgrade from this one; it definitely spoils you!
Basically, if you have the money to get this TV, then just get it. It is the best TV I've owned/seen in years, and I expect to keep it going for at least the next 7 years. Plus, LG's offering of a 5 year warranty seals the deal!

A Pinnacle of Home Viewing

The LG OLED TV is an exceptional blend of design and technology. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the incredibly thin profile of the screen. It sits so flush against the wall that it feels more like a window into another world than a typical television.
But the real marvel of this TV is its astonishing picture quality. The OLED technology delivers stunning visuals with deeply saturated colors, profound blacks, and an incredible level of detail that has to be seen to be believed. Whether you're watching an explosive action movie, immersive nature documentary, or just catching up on your favorite sitcom, the image clarity is consistently spectacular.
LG has managed to achieve an unparalleled balance of design and performance with its OLED TV. It's more than just a TV, it's a piece of art that enhances the aesthetic of any room while providing an unrivaled viewing experience. This TV truly redefines what one can expect from home entertainment.

Overall, the LG G2 65-inch OLED evo Gallery TV is an excellent TV that offers a great combination of picture quality, sound, and design. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth the investment if you're looking for a TV that will blow you away.
The OLED evo panel is the brightest OLED panel that LG has ever made, and it delivers incredible contrast and color reproduction. The TV also supports Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos, which further enhances the viewing experience.
The sound on the G2 is also excellent, thanks to the built-in 4.2-channel speaker system. The speakers are powered by AI Sound Pro, which analyzes the content you're watching and optimizes the sound accordingly.

As of right now you just can't beat this TV. It is not a perfect TV but is it close. When it comes to color the Samsung S95B and Sony A95K are better at reproducing it, but the S95B doesn't come with a burn in warranty and the Sony is double the price of the G2.
When it comes to brightness 1,000 nits is extremely bright. To the point where I have to squint when watching Dolby Vision content.
My main use for this TV is gaming however and LG is unmatched as of right now when it comes to gaming features. VRR with G Sync and AMD Freesync support and even a toggle to remove even more input lag makes this TV almost unbeatable.
Overall an impressive TV that is well worth the money for gaming and video content. It also comes with a 5 year burn in warranty with no extra cost. The Samsung S95B and Sony A95K do not come with a burn in warranty, if they did I might have picked the S95B.
Also this TV sits flush against the wall and it's really pretty, I had to use a macro lens just to take this photo.

This was a replacement TV, as our old one was just barely over a year old and one day had black lines through the screen and no picture. Lucky for us, because of the type of TV it was and the cost of the part, a new TV of our choice within our original purchase price was what we got!! Talk about MAJOR LUCK…..this LG OLED had come down in price and was currently on sale!!!! Cha-Ching!!$$
The picture is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I thought our 8k Crystal had a great picture….obviously that one was released before all the bugs were out, because THIS IS AMAZING!! We now watch more movies together as a family than we did before!!

I debated for years b/t LG Oled gallery series and a Samsung frame. Ultimately, the picture quality of the LG won. There is zero contest when you focus on picture quality. There is still an art mode for the LG gallery series which slowly fades in and out b/t pics from a rolling gallery …it’s a neat feature..it’s not the same lifelike quality of a frame TV in terms of art mode but I get perfect 4k quality when watching actual content so that is the priority for me
As I left Best Buy two different people told me I just bought the best TV in the store …I think they were right
