Customers often highlight the exceptional picture quality, with vibrant colors and crisp images, as a major selling point of the 65" Class GX Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. The sleek design and the inclusion of a flush wall mount also receive positive feedback. While some customers express concerns about the price, many believe it is justified by the overall quality of the TV.

Great oled TV. By far the thinnest TV I’ve ever seen. A bit annoyed that it did come with a stand but I was mounting it so it didn’t matter.
The picture is in incredible. Bright. Some glare but great as far as OLEDs go.
Only thing I’m worried about is burn in but I do not watch the news very much and I’m always changing formats.
TV design is amazing.
Speakers are okay but who actually uses tv speakers.
I would recommend this LG oled to anyone the wants a great picture and is planning on mounting the TV.

I got this to replace my older 2016 LG model (G6). This is a new and improved version! Definitely improved picture and motion processing! Also improved menus with 2 tiers. Improved remote with hot keys. Has Dobly Atmos, which the old set did not. Best of all I can hang this on the wall with no exposed wires. Looks like a picture! This is another awesome OLED TV from LG. This TV is also compatible with the new OTA standards (NextGen/ATSC 3.0) which are coming to my area next year. I have no negatives on this model. I highly recommend!!

Two preface my review: I own two other 2017 OLED models, a 65E7 and a 55B7, and I purchased them back in 2017. My living room TV is still the E7, and I had it calibrated professionally after the first 100 hours. I say that to illustrate that I'm quite familiar with and spoiled by OLED picture quality.
The GX first of all has a stunning design. I loved the 2017 E7 picture-on-glass style, and up until the 2020/21 Gallery models, the E7 was my favorite design. As I understand it, the panel in the GX is actually still the same panel my E7 and B7 use, but the processing improvements in the past three years are the major difference. I always turn off all picture processing options, so any motion smoothing enhancements or gradation enhancements are wasted on me. There are a couple extra presets, like FilmMaker mode, but I pretty much stick with Game (when I'm gaming) or ISF Expert. The exceptions are if I'm watching Dolby Vision content, when the TV switches to DV mode, and has numerous sub-presets you can select.
The WebOS is MUCH faster, and I love that it includes Apple TV and AirPlay. There is still no HBO Max app, which is puzzling.
If you already have a semi-recent (2017 or newer) OLED and are looking for dramatic improvements in PQ, you might not see a huge difference. But, if you want it for gaming reasons, the HDMI 2.1 ports are probably worth the upgrade. Another reason to upgrade would be if you want to have the gallery design, which to me is definitely worth the price bump over the CX. Plus, the G1 release at Best Buy is imminent, so the GX is discounted now and lot's of stores have sweet open box deals. If you want an OLED and don't need the extra brightness of the newer G1, I think this is as good an option as any out there.

We purchased this TV only because the CX series was sold out by the time we went to order on Black Friday, But as it turns out, it was all for the best! We wanted to mount this on our wall, and this TV comes with the wall mount as that is how it is designed to be mounted.
First, the packaging is very large - measure your car first! We did and decided to have it delivered as it would not fit in our 2011 CR-V or our 2011 Accord. The box was much larger than I even expected in spite of having measured.
The TV, when mounted, is barely the depth of a picture frame. The mounting instructions are only OK - I feel like LG could do a better job with respect to the instructions and the video connection instructions.
The TV mount is pretty slick and it was easy to mount the TV. When mounted, and pressed to the wall, it sits flat - completely flat - against the wall.
ISSUE: the cover meant to keep the cables in place before mounting the TV was missing. I had to use packing tape to keep the cables from dropping down and blocking the TV from sitting flat against the wall. I called LG and they were willing to send me one - only they instead sent me a replacement back to the TV, not the cover!!! (SMACK MY FOREHEAD). I have yet to contact them again...
Suggestion - while it is easy enough to pull the TV away from the wall, there is not much room between the TV and the wall without removing the TV all together. I put in 4 HDMI cables, 2 male/male and 2 male/female so I won't have to pull it again. They all either go to the entertainment cabinet (male/male) or to the floor (male/femail) to accomadate any connection needs.
Finallly - the TV - amazing! Display, sound, apps - all incredible! Simply put, you cannot go wrong with this TV.

Quality picture, nosy AI, competing apps

We were a family of Samsung buyers who decided to go LG. It is an amazing tv and the quality of the picture is second to none. However the brightness does not compare to Samsung. So in a bright room it’s sometimes a challenge.
Another negative is the AI stops and says “voice not recognized” at the most random and usually inconvenient time while watching. Also we weren’t always talking to the TV anyway. And there’s no way to turn it off. Lovely. It also beeps like it’s listening when the TV is turned off. Sometimes we’re in the next room! Odd!
The last complaint is the game these companies play with the apps. LG carries Disney + but not HBOMax. Vice versa for Samsung. No one will carry Discovery +. You need Apple TV or Roku or one of those items to watch certain streaming channels. It makes no sense why they chose to do that. But yes like Apple or Microsoft they compete over things we all need. So helpful! :(
Finally I do want to reiterate the quality of the Picture is stunning and the tv updates itself pretty regularly so there are no other hang ups than those listed. It is quick to set up and so lightweight. We had a mount in place already and just used that. We didn’t need it to hang like a picture on a wall since there is framing already around it over our fireplace where it hangs. The set up it comes with would be ideal on a bare wall like in a bedroom. It didn’t line up with the studs and that made us nervous hanging a 65” tv. So we would have added more support and that made it more difficult - and add more holes in the wall. In the long run that just didn’t seem like a food idea.
We love this TV and hope this review helps.

Stepping up from my vintage 2007 Samsung 46" LCD tv, to this... work of art. Was like growing up in a cave, and then discovering there's an outside! And sunlight!
I'm no image snob, I just enjoy movies, some educational programs... of the Space/Nature variety, and my susbscription services. The clarity of picture, the absolutely shocking level of detail, the fact that it's voice activated, and it looks like a painting on my tiny apartment wall, is just breathtaking.
If I set this next to the TV I first watched as a 4 year old, I would likely shed tears.
LG makes an AMAZING product... as you can probably guess, my opinion of the visual quality, is as high as it gets.
The audio... which the TV itself, outputs Dolby Atmos audio to its own integrated speakers is impressive, though I use the HDMI ARC to output sound to a soundbar, surround speakers, and a subwoofer. (Completely causes the tingles when watching content, such as The Expanse.)
The interface is based on LG's implementation of WebOS, only took a moment to get familiar, and its quite good.
The Magic Wand remote is a little quirky, but using it for a few weeks, and now its second nature. (Though I still am enjoying the voice control.)
Build quality... (whistle) Top notch.
My last TV lasted 13 years... let's see where this one makes it.

The picture quality is the best thing about this TV and that is what makes it an excellent rating since that is the most important thing. The remote is great as well! A few negatives of the TV are: 1. Terrible documentation so it takes some doing to figure out how everything is supposed to work. I needed to find out a lot on my own because even the Nerd Squad techs were not able to figure some things out 2. Table stand is NOT included. (It should be for such an expensive TV.) This caused frustration as no one (including salespeople) knew about this and I needed to research and spend an additional $100 for the table stand. Fortunately it arrived in time for my delivery. (I did not have the option of hanging the TV given my space.) 3. Using the stand it is not possible to place the back cover on once the cables are attached (too thick). They should shape that cover with a curve so it would work or provide two cover options, flat and curved. 4. There are not enough options to plug in older components such as DVD players with Component inputs. 5. As my Tivo does not have a screensaver included, I have the worry of OLED burn in when I pause the picture. 6. HBO Go / HBO Max NOT available. Problem if you use HBO.
To recap, excellent picture and great functionality! Main negatives are difficult to set up many functions and missing HBO Max and other streaming apps!

I have not purchased a new TV for my L/R in over 10 years. So I always knew I wanted the very best without compromises and LG seems to be the leader now days in OLED displays. I certainly could've save money by purchasing one of the lesser expensive CX series model; and I still would have had a premium TV. But one of my requirements was buying a product that is also future proofed (to the extent that any piece of electronics can be). And this is what really led me into the GX series with the new ATSC 3,0 tuner that can handle 4k broadcasts over the air (as they become available).
So being an early adopter, I feel like I've paid an up-charge for that next generation tuner for 4k broadcasting. But every time I look at the wall and this beautiful television, I have no regrets in buying it. I've only had the TV for a week and a half now, but from the 4k content I have watched on Amazon along with a couple of 4k movies I purchased on disc, the PQ is nothing short of stunning! And what's really cool is the ability to put the monitor in "gallery mode" (when not watching TV). The display lights up with beautiful pictures of fine art (rotating) as if I had all this art pieces actually hanging on the wall. I will say one thing. Don't let the slim line fool you. This TV in the 65 inch model weights over 60 lbs so you will definitely need an assistant getting it hung on the wall. It took me 4 to 5 hours to get it correctly installed, ensuring that we hit the studs where the mount was installed. Again, no regrets. It's the best TV I've ever owned and hope to get many years of enjoyment out of it.

This has been my first foray into OLED, and so far I am quite impressed. I was coming from a 55" Samsung UN55B6000 purchases in 2009.
The 55" Samsung was actually the perfect size for my wall, but the LG GX 65" was actually only 5" longer and 0.5" wider, due to the incredibly thin bezel on the set. It is essentially all screen.
So I took the plunge, and picked up the TV curbside and brought it home to install. The included wall mount is low profile and also allows for leveling of the TV. Just make sure you have a second person available to help lift the TV into place. Also, the included anchors do not work well with drywall at all. If you can hit a stud, the included bolts grip fine, but the anchors? Trying to screw the bolts into the anchor resulted in the anchors pushing through the drywall. I purchased a few flip toggle anchors and the installation was smooth as can be. You might want to buy something else ahead of time if you know these will be sitting in drywall.
Once the TV was installed, it is easy to level and sits beautifully flush with the wall. Starting it up my screen looked amazing right out of the box. However, I primarily run movies through Kodi on a media PC. The blacks looked a little crushed on the display. Turns out, with a PC running full range RGB (0-255) the HDMI input being used has to be set to "PC" through the home screen. Once that was done, the colors were mapped appropriately.
The movies rendered, even 1080p SDR material looked excellent. Lighted effects really pop from the black backgrounds. So far I cannot complain about the performance at all. I did notice that the display will actually gradually reduce the luminance of material of the screen if any of the pixels are active too long. This is likely to protect the display from burn in, and doesn't really impact viewing at all.
Along that thread, the display doesn't hit the 1000 nits of brightness required by the DolbyVision spec or HDR10, the highest I saw with HDR active was in the 600s. So while the TV will play HDR material it doesn't meet the reference performance of those two specifications, if you care about that kind of thing. I guess for the price one realistically should expect anchors that work and full HDR10 compliance, but an amazing 4K picture will solid HDR performance and unbeatable aesthetics will have to suffice.

Boy! Am I glad I took the plunge and got me an OLED...
There isn't much to say about OLED that hasn't already been said. Perfect black, wide viewing angles, small form factor, etc. The truth is that unless you experience OLED you can't really appreciate the benefits of it.
What I like:
1. Amazing image with perfect blacks and infinite contrast.
2. Looks great from any angle.
3. Sits flush against the wall and it's so thin that it actually looks like a painting (specially in gallery mode).
4. Very fast with a clean and easy to use UI.
What I don't like:
1. The magic control feels cheap for such an expensive TV.
2. The cursor option can be annoying sometimes, though it is convenient and can be turned off.
3. Some apps experience glitches (for me is the Amazon Prime Video app).
4. Limited apps (no HBO Max or Crunchyroll as of October 2020).
While the TV is not perfect, it is the best TV I've ever had and my issues with it are minor stuff that don't really spoil the experience.

Great TV, 65 is good for living room and flush mount literally snug to the wall.
Movies - incredible
Gaming - I’m literally better at sports and shooter games due to the refresh rate and instantaneous response on a crystal clear display. Plus it auto detects and switches picture mode to HDR automatically when it detects a the input switch.
There’s probably even better picture settings that I can tweak, but honestly I like the auto detect to hdr gaming or cinema modes, it makes it easy and always looks incredible.
I did open box at Best Buy and was only $1500 on sale. Open box satisfactory - said missing hardware but was a mistake as this tv does not come with a stand. So everything was there - check open boxes for literally $1,000 off the price!
Oh and the magic remote is pretty dope - it’s like a mouse pointer you just aim at the tv.

The picture quality blows away every other tv on the market. This tv is so thin it’s unbelievable. There is literally no space left between the wall and the tv itself once mounted. The included wall mount is very easy to set up thanks to the included template, though the drywall anchors it comes with didn’t work for me and I had to purchase some others. It is worth noting that even though the tv only weighs around 60 lbs you should still try to hit a studs when mounting.
Sound is okay if you want to complete the theatre like experience, you’ll need to at least get A basic sound bar, but there is an interesting feature that will let you connect two Bluetooth speakers for better sound. I haven’t tried this feature yet so I can’t comment on how well it works.

I've gotta say, I was a little skeptical about getting an OLED TV because of how the pixels lose their luminancy over time, but there is no TV quite like an OLED. Trust me, if you get this TV, there is no going back. It is beautifully clear and the black levels are stunning. It's perfect for gaming and watching. Perfect viewing experiences don't come without any compromises, but the positives outweigh the negatives in my opinion, and if you're truly concerned, you can buy geek squad protection to give yourself a peace of mind. So give it a try! You won't regret it.

This is my first OLED TV and it is the new generation (G1) which has the lighter brighter OLED screen. I saw the 65" G1 in the store and my wife and I were very impressed with the sharpness of the picture and the depth of color portrayed on the screen.
We were so impressed that we purchased the 77" G1 which mounts flush to the wall. This is especially nice when in the Gallery mode, which allows you to show art work that LG provides free, or your own art work, such as favorite photographs. When viewed in the Gallery mode, the photos look like art work you would hang on a wall.

Bought the Samsung originally TV electronics overheated. Samsung customer service was terrible, Best Buy took the Samsung back and I switched to LG. Could not be happier. Picture quality and depth beat the high end Samsung hands down. User interface is much more intuitive. Blacks are deeper. The TV is amazingly thin. Mounting can be tricky, suggest a professional install.
I’d pick LG over Samsung any day!

Stunning TV. Couldn’t be happier. Uses the same top of the line OLED panel as the CX series. However, the gallery design takes this to the next level. Installation was a little more complicated than installing a standard mount. But if you know your way around a drill and a level, you can complete it on your own with one person to help get the tv on the wall. Once installed it has a very low profile. Comes off the wall less than an inch. A friend of mine recently bought a Vizio OLED and returned it for LG when he saw mine and got to use the incredibly intuitive webOS platform.

Great picture. Black is totally black. Colors really pop. The image is totally even across the screen. The thin screen hugs the wall and the minimal frame does make this look like the other artwork I have hanging on my walls. LG's WebOS is very easy to use. I just wish HBO Max was accessible from the Home screen. I use my Roku for HBO Max, but I can access all my other streaming directly from the TV. The art gallery is a nice feature.

Stunning once installed with the provided mount. OLED does not disappoint with this TV. The black color is the deepest black that I have ever seen on any TV and watching NETFLIX through the webOS is amazing. Everything I wanted on a display. The only zonk I will give this tv is the glare from lights like a fanlight or a nightstand light at night. Besides that... 9/10
