    This TV ruined me.

I can't watch another TV without noticing the lacking contrast or colors. This TV has absolutely gorgeous picture quality, and with Dolby Vision HDR, the colors come out even better! This TV even supports Atmos over ARC, so my SJ9 only has 1 HDMI wire going to the TV, without dropping much sound quality. I would recommend watching 4K movies only from VUDU, since this tv will expose the compression issues associated with Netflix 4K. The first movie I watched on with my final set up was Baby Driver, and I started crying with the black and white scene. The contrast with the range of grey's was just so stunning, it looked better than movie theater quality. The blacks were pure black in that scene, and you could tell because the trees shadows would blend with the edge of the tv and that's something I've never experienced before. I've had the tv for over a month now, and I haven't experience any burn-in or image retention problems, since I do watch and play a variety of content on it.

So I heard about OLeds having issues with lines moving across the screen in GREY scale images or say menus and loading screens and that is true. Within about 3 months of use I would notice it happening but the frequency of those grey images in use are rare with in the means I use it. I use this tv primarily for gaming. So there are tons of colors and not a lot of grey. So here we are, a Year and some change into owning this TV and this line break shows up. I have a 70in Samsung 3D tv and have had it for 5 years. No issues. In comparison to what the quality of the LG TV should be, I am disappointed with it's technical issues off the bat & it's lifespan. Don't get me wrong it's probably the best TV i've owned, the TRUE BLACK pixels turning off to support that claim is spot on and looks great, no milky screen effect at all for dark areas. Just the longevity here kills me. I was hoping to get so much more use out of this tv, I am disappointed but who knows I may have gotten a lemon. I'm going to research my options on where to go from here, but I've owned vizio Sanyo Samsung and now LG. LG was the fastest to break. So based on that I probably will be going back to a samsung QLed. Just buyer beware. You can roll the dice and see if your experience winds up better than mine but these where concerns that where expressed to me even before purchasing an LG OLED. Hope this helps someone.

Pricy, but the picture on this TV is AMAZING and worth it! The clarity is awesome. WebOS works great. Throw on an 4k-8k YouTube video, sit back, and prepare to be blown away. The black in this TV is BLACK! The attached picture do no justice.

This tv gets an amazing picture. Be sure to turn off the energy saving feature, your picture will be very dark until you do. The speakers are normal for a flat screen so I bought the lg sj5 sound bar. Super easy to connect either wirelessly or you can use optic or HDMI cables. If you are hang from a wall mount definitely you-tube the video on how to unpack ur tv. It shows you how to use the styrofoam packaging to lay your tv flat so you can access the back to mount the bracket.

Processor is a little bit slower than Sony's but the price difference is well worth it. In the beginning of some shows the picture is blurry, but by hitting the rewind or waiting, it catches up to a beautiful picture. I need to call the Geek squad to come check it out.

I really hoped to love this Tv. The picture was amazing but soon I noticed light banding on solid grey or blue screen. Also my Amazon app does not work and freezes tv. Going back to exchange.. hopefully this was just a lemon. Can't recommend a tv at this price with this kind of issues...

Screen developed large green burn-in patches

Initially... I loved this tv and would have given it 5 stars. Amazing picture, in spite of being a little dark. But... just after the 1 year warranty was up, the screen developed large green areas of burn-in. In the lower right corner the NBC peacock also burned in. I went back to Best Buy to see if they would do anything. The rep said this is common on the OLEDs. But, since I was out of warranty I was out of luck. He also said that the 9 series supposedly dims logos to prevent this. But I don’t buy it. And, I will never buy an LG tv again. This is my 1st and last. Never have I had a tv basically die in such a short time. I’m totally bummed out...

I bought this TV to go with my new home theater/man cave room and I love it, though I had to get a replacement as the first one they delivered had a cracked screen. I simply called the store and they took care of everything. could not be happier.

I loved this TV for the first week after it was delivered. After a week though, not so much. I started noticing little magenta lines flashing horizontally across the picture about a week into ownership. Since I had already thrown out the box and worried about not having any way to take it back to Best Buy, I did the next best thing. I bought a Geek Squad plan just in case. So now I'm into this purchase for over 3000 dollars. You'd think for 3K, you'd get either a nice working TV, or the piece of mind that if something does go wrong, they'll bring along another one, right? Wrong! Into the second week, the TV starts flashing Magenta across the entire screen, then shutting itself off. Try turning it back on, does the same thing. Two or three more attmepts to turn it on, and it won't even turn on. Wait a bit, and it works again. This cycle repeats for several days. Call Geek Squad, tell them what's up, they agree to send someone out a week later. In the meantime, the 3000 dollar TV doesn't work at all. Turn on, flashing Magenta, dies. Finally the day arrives when Geek Squad is scheduled to arrive, and voilla! The TV works. Very friendly Geek Squad guys see that it's working, see the video I show them of the problem happening multiple times, say they're sorry but there's nothing they can do since it's now working. Hours later, the TV goes back to flashing Magenta. At this point I've missed most of the Bowl Games, Christmas movies with the Fam, etc. Decide to go to LG directly. Send e-mail detailing the issue and a photo of the Magenta screen, since their website won't accept .mov files. They respond with an e-mail telling me to check the power cable. I call LG, go through all of the specifics of the issue, give them all of the info on the TV (even though I had registered it with them so they should have that info), then get hung up on. Call back, and am given the number of a local repair person. One month in, and I have a broken 3000 dollar TV and no resolution on the horizon. So, again, if you like watching TV and DON'T want to go through all of this, I'd suggest going with something else, maybe a Samsung.
