Told the people at Best Buy what I was looking for. Discussed how my washer and dryer are opposite of what is normal for placement in my laundry room. The sales man took me straight to this dryer. I LOVE how the door opens two ways it makes doing my laundry so much nicer and easier!

Purchased LG model 7200 Dryer from very knowledgeable sales associate after asking numerous questions and competitive a great price that included delivery, required vent hose for the dryer and setup. Two friendly, highly qualified members from the GEEK Squad delivered the machine, carefully moving the it into place, installed it and tested it while they showed me the basics of the machine. I am very happy with our purchase from Best Buy!

I am ecstatic over this dryer purchase. This machine has so many bells and whistles and for an outstanding price. I got it for sale over the Labor Day weekend for $599. This is only $100-$150 more than similar size capacity dryers from the Samsung and GE lineup but has SO many more features including the smartphone app and smart diagnostic capability, as well as an indicator that lets you know when your vent needs to cleaned to maximize efficiency. I think this is so awesome because not many people know that they should be having the dryer vents cleaned on an annual basis so getting a notification from your dryer is pretty convenient. Also this model is energy star rated, saving you money over time. Obviously, the different options for opening the dryer door from the side or from the top is incredibly cool, especially to prevent clothes from falling on the floor when transferring from the washer or even when removing the dried loads. It's important to note that LG is a company that does not use cheap parts like some of its competitors. They make quality products and they have been proven to have sustainability over time which means less headaches. I checked this dryer out on Consumer Reports and it had the least incidence rating of repairs and problems over 5 years of ownership compared to other name brands. Even the associate at Best Buy who deals with a lot of customer service related calls stated that she gets the least complaints with the LG products. My 4K TV is LG and I will never get a different brand. Even the LG customer support is top notch compared to other reputable brands. Also, this dryer is very attractive. Love the design and its ease of use. Thanks Best Buy for all the help.

I really like the way the door can open from the top or the side. But that makes switching the hinge side much more complicated. I wish manufacturers would deliver them hinged on the left, most homes are plumbed to have the washer on the right so hinging the dryer on the right makes no sense. But the dryer is a pleasure to use. Huge capacity. It can be fooled by a mix of heavy fabrics mixed with light and shut off before all are dry. Easy to remedy by selecting Heavy Duty cycle or just pulling out the light fabrics and re-starting to finish the others.

This is a very nice dryer. It has a large drum to hold lots of clothes, which is needed if you have the matching top load HE washer because it holds tons of clothes. The drum light is great and the glass door is a good feature so the clothes can be seen while the dryer is running. It has an energy saving feature where it starts without heat for a few minutes, but it cannot be used on all settings - only a few. I used the sensor dry feature on the normal dry setting and put in a mixed load of clothes (I am not going to wash 5 loads of clothes just to match each garment type) and some were still damp, so I had to put some of them back in the dryer on timed dry to get them completely dry. Since then, I just increase the sensor drying on mixed loads to more dry and it works great. I like that the door can be opened either sideways or down. When opening it down, it only opens about 45 degrees and acts as a chute to put wet clothes into the dryer, which is easier than throwing them in and there's less chance of dropping them on the floor. Then, when the clothes are dry, opening the door sideways makes it easier to get them out. It also has the wrinkle care setting to keep tumbling the clothes periodically after it finishes to help prevent wrinkles. This is in case you cannot take the clothes out right away. Like the matching washer, it has WiFi so it can be started and/or monitored with a smartphone. I use the end of cycle signal, but even on its loudest setting I do not always hear it when across the house, especially if the TV is on. So, I can check my phone to see when it's done in case I don't hear the signal. Since dryers can cause fires when lint builds up in the exhaust vent, I am glad this dryer has a vent monitoring system where it checks for air flow. While I do clean my vent periodically, it's nice to have the monitor in case there's excess lint buildup. I am happy with my purchase and I can honestly recommend this dryer.

This LG dryer is just amazing. I love the door options opening from the side or from the top down. It is very quiet and can handle anything from the most delicate fabrics to heavy blankets and comforters. I also like the song it plays when the load is done, unlike the noisy alarm on the last dryer I had. Thx Best Buy!

My spouse is very happy with her LG dryer. The two-way door makes loading easy and the dryer has a large capacity. Although it does not have a steam setting, it has more than enough settings for her. In addition, it is very quiet. We will have to wait to see how well it holds up ver time. but so far my wife is happy!

Got this and a new washer to replace the old washer and dryer that came with our house 8+ yrs ago. Night and day difference. Had it a couple months now with no issues and am loving all the functionality I didn't have on my previous dryer. Pros: -dries clothes well -super quiet -lots of easy to navigate settings -door opens two ways - I thought the hamper style opening would just be kind of gimmicky but it is actually helpful for moving clothes from washer to dryer (just drop them in the half opened door vs needing to stoop down to place/throw them in the drum) Cons: -the little tune/jingle when it is done is silly and kind of long -the drum is actually pretty deep so you do need to get down and in there to unload it fully -the door feels a little cheap/light. Hopefully it holds up without issue, so far so good -the lint trap fills up kind of quickly (we have dogs), need to empty it pretty regularly Overall very happy with the purchase. Does what it is supposed to do. Does it very quietly. Increased functionality and ease of use than my previous dryer.

I am so happy the salesman recommended this dryer. it is very quiet running, easy to use, and settings for every type of clothing. I love how the door can open 2 different ways and my kids love the music that plays instead of a buzzer going off.

Have enjoyed my new dryer very much - the various temperature settings are excellent and clothes dry much faster, like that the door opens from top and side, lint trap is in front so easy to access - and best part is the reasonable price

When my old faithful dryer finally went kaput, I went out to specifically shop LG models (I've had great luck with my LG products). This has been great so far. It's quick, and efficient. The 2 way door (opens from the top or the side) is such a useful feature.

The dryer has all the features we need for efficient drying with low noise. The drum size matches our large LG washer allowing for fewer loads than needed with the replaced dryer. Controlls are easy to use and allow for all the laundry types we use.

Controls are easy to use. Drier dries well and I love the phone app that lets me know when the drier cycle is complete. I especially love the hamper door and this is my favorite. The swing open door works well if you are dumping the clothes into a basket.

Three weeks with our new LG washer/dryer and we are impressed. Easy to use, quiet. Handles large loads well. We use the bluetooth app and it has also linked perfectly. And they were on sale! Win-win in our busy household.

We purchased this new dryer at Best Buy. The sales people were helpful. We had some problems but all seems to be well now, keeping in mind we have not had the product very long: 1. The installers squashed the dryer vent (the metal flexible tube part). We started getting d80 and d90 low flow codes. Using my fist, I un-squashed the vent and tried again. Ran a few loads then started getting the codes. 2. I felt that for $800+ (extended warranty as well) we were entitled to a proper installation. We did suspect our housing vent system may be plugged.but called anyway. This crew pronounced the installation to be OK, suggested we ask for a warranty replacement. We still got the codes. 3. Figuring a 30-year-old venting duct might be the problem (though our old dryer could care lass), we hired Zerorez to clean it and, behold, it works, at least the first two loads since we had that work done. So far, then I would give the dryer a 5, the installers a 2 or 3. Hopefully we will have years of trouble free service now?

Great dryer, quiet, dries quickly, and love the 2-way open door. Makes it easier to load & side open is wide for removing clothes. No dials, just touch .

Once I figured out how to connect the Thinq app, I have enjoyed the dryer. I love that there are 2 ways to open the door. Works good with drying my clothes. It has a lot of drying options. My comforter was dried the 1st time completely.

I love that the door opens two different ways, easy for unloading and even easier for loading. It's really big and it works really efficiently.

So far working great....I'm usually always extremely satisfied with LG products. Simple to use and I like the option of the hamper style door combined with the full swing open option. Controls take an extremely light touch.

It's pretty quiet. The door opens a couple different ways, side ways and out towards you. Dries clothes very well. Highly recommend it!
