When we sold our house, I have to say I was dreading leaving behind our Whirlpool washer and dryer set that had served us faithfully for almost 9 years. No issues, no problems, worked perfectly. Based on my research, I decided to go with this LG set, and after 3 months now, we've been very pleased. They operate quieter than the Whirlpool units and seem to work more efficiently. The gas dryer quickly dries the close. The washer has many settings so you can get the exact wash cycle that matches the load.

I love this dryer compared to my old Samsung electric dryer which I had to run more than once to dry my clothes. Not with this one. The one thing I wish it had that I thought it did was a steam feature. I guess I imagined it, my fault on that.

Had this delivered to my garage. When we unboxed it, the corner of the dryer was damaged and the top is shifted. Over all the LG dryer is great The washing machine & refrigerator received with no damage. There is nowhere to report damage except for this review.

We have several LG dryers in our properties, but have now found an interest issue. One of our properties is a 2nd floor (actually 3rd from below ground level) apartment where the dryer vents from the ceiling of the washer/dryer closet all the way to the 4th floor/top of the apartment building, so there is basically an 8-10 foot vertical vent running from the base of the dryer to the ceiling (behind the stacked washer/dryer) to the duct in the ceiling. That duct then travels another 20+ feet vertically to the roof where it vents. After our dryer was installed, we kept trying to sensor dry, and we would get alarm codes D80, D90, D95 signifying blocked duct. I had a dryer duct professional out twice, who assured me that the duct from my apartment to the roof was wide open. He felt it was a sensor issue with my new dryer. I had an LG repairman come out, who told me he thought that it was basically because the LG having to push up that distance was causing the error. I can't believe that LG dryers aren't used in this configuration all over the world, so I insisted that he change the sensor, which he did. So far, it has been working fine, but he was emphatic that in his experience other brands like Whirlpool and GE have a different sensor and work far better when the dryer vent goes up instead of horizonally straight out. Something to ask about/think about if you have a dryer vent run similar to mine...

It's great, dries quickly, multiple heat settings, the smart features work, but I tend to go old school and just put everything in manually. It gets hot, so if you have fabrics that can handle high, they'll dry quickly. Easy lint filter clean. One year in and not a single issue.

Gas dryer is excellent. Delivery and installation not so good. Scheduled installation was 2 weeks, with no flexibility. When they arrived, agent only asked for the one purchaser, did not say why he was there. Left, and installation had to wait another 2 weeks. Dryer delivered day before schedule. Then installer could not install - claimed he could not use hookup. Needed to hire separate plumber, who did it as simply as was needed.
