I'm not going to do an in depth review here. Let me just say that I was worried about a few compatibility issues, being an early adopter with some gaming technology. These tvs have features for things that aren't even out yet. One of those things came out recently. There were some compatibility issues, and LG acknowledged it within 24 hours and had it fixed within a week. This is amazing to me. As I'm sure you know, hdmi 2.1 is fairly new and there weren't any sources for it until mid September. This is great news for me, after returning a "2021" Vizio pqx for having so many issues and they were unwilling to even acknowledge their firmware caused them, so these things take months to get fixed, and honestly that was a terrible experience on many fronts. Pros - This tv is exceptional quality by a brand that always has its engineers working on fixes for any issues that might pop up during these early-adopter hdmi 2.1 days. This is why I'm confident with this brand going in to next gen consoles. - The tv performance from AI upscaling to streaming native apps to gaming to movie watching..the remote..the depth in the settings menu..the motion..color..contrast..response time, are all unlike anything I've seen, and I've been through flagships from every major brand (in the US) this year including sonyx900h, viziopqxH1, and samsungq90t(great tv if you prefer Led tvs. Stunning brightness. Lack of Dolby vision was a deal breaker for me). From the moment this tv comes out of the box, you get that feeling that you're getting your money's worth. Also, the build quality is great, sturdy, also it is thin and you want to watch an unboxing video before you unbox it, so you can see how it's meant to be unboxed and not miss any accessories. Oh, and the magic remote is so convenient! Cons - Burn-in risk, obviously. This worried me because I'm a gamer. I will have static images displayed in the screen. Luckily, this tv has a static image brightness limiter that will reduce the brightness on static images after 90 seconds. It also runs a pixel refresher after every 4 hours of use when you turn it off (it has to be plugged in to run pixel refresh when it's turned off) and if you have any picture "noise" or image retention, there's an hour long pixel refresher you can do manually. Also, pixel shifter technology is moving the pixels left and right, almost like a vibration, invisible to the eye, to prevent static image retention. Saying all this, I still got the best buy(magnolia, actually) warranty, as it's the only warranty in the US that covers burn-in, and if it happens, you can get a new tv of the same price you paid for this one. So this is comforting to me, although I don't anticipate this happening because I currently live alone and will be taking care of it. This is an Oled, so if your viewing conditions are very bright, you might want to consider something else. This is the best tv money can buy. Well, besides the $30,000 8k Oled, I suppose, but it isn't made for bright rooms. It's reflection handling is good, but OLeds are for light controlled rooms. Shut the blinds and enjoy.

I have to start by saying. I "upgraded" from a samsung 75 inch 7100 serious which is a serious TV and gorgeous. With the new gaming of 129hz I decided to jump the gun and grab this up. First I can say the picture is perfect there is legit not a single bad viewing angle in this thing. It lights and gorgeous on the wall. Setup was a breeze the UI is nicely laid out. Movies look amazing through Xbox X 4kblueray. The blacks are gorgeous. It could use more HDR but our home theater is a private room that is backed out so the need for higher HDR isn't really needed for us. The picture really is just gorgeous. Gaming is a level up. I can honestly say as someone who runs 3 144hz monitors this thing looks amazing on X1X and PS4 so can't wait for the new ones to come out. I did notice when playing forza some slight tearing but it wasn't terrible. Cons: so first complaint is the remote. When spending this price and for a TV that's meant for dark rooms how the remote doesn't light up is beyond me and just a lazy after thought. The power cord placement is horrible and I can't believe it can't be unplugged from the tv. The HDMI spots are horrible for anyone who wants the tight wall mount. I have all my cords seamless into the wall and it was a pain to access. I don't understand the boxing instead of an open area for direct access. I also wish they didn't put guide button in the center most people run wireless TV so why use a coaxial setup when most require a box. Other than those complaint's the TV is worth the money. If your in the market for the future grab it up. It pairs nicely with my new Marantz 1500

I must say after months of research on this tv i finally pulled the trigger and bought it in the end of may. And it's just a beautiful tv. I wanted something that has all the new features like hdmi 2.1, 120 hz, Dolby vision and hdr10. This tv has amazing blacks and just a unbelievable picture. Has game mode for fps games like call of duty and helps with the input lag. You will definitely have to adjust settings for best picture or even have geek squad come and have it calibrated for you. But this tv and the ps5 is a dream come true. If you have a man cave and want the best tv don't hesitate. Highly recommend. And please get the geek squad warranty because lg oleds have a history of burn in. Wouldn't risk it when spending this much for a tv. And this review is for the 77 inch cx. Enjoy.

My first OLED tv and even though I am a little worried about burn in, this tv is just awesome. All my tv’s since 2008 have all been Samsung but nothing recently has really impressed me from Samsung. OLED tv’s and LG in general have been really pushing new tech into their tvs and with HDMI 2.1 coming into play and the new consoles both supporting it, this was the logical purchase to make since all 4 HDMI ports are 2.1 capable. I’ve had the tv for a little over 2 weeks and the only thing that I don’t really care for is the remote and the fact that I almost had a panic attack while taking this monster out of the box and setting it up due to how thin this 77 inch monster is. Picture quality is great, even with just a tv antenna but definitely shows what the tv can do once you play a 4K blu ray disc, then you can really see that nothing beats OLED in how crisp and clean the picture looks and even though it doesn’t get as bright as an LED tv, the fact that the blacks get so much darker makes up for it. My neighbor who helped me with setting up my tv ended up buying one a couple days later.

We've owned Samsung LED TVs starting with 55" at least 10 years ago. Then we bought 75" about 4 years, and put the 55" in the master bedroom. We then bought 65" for our kitchen little over 2 years ago. You can say that we were fans of Samsung TV. Our 75" Samsung recently refused to come on. Thinking that it was the powerboard, we replaced it with another. When that didn't work, I decided to look into getting a replacement. A close family friend recommended that I should look into OLED. I started researching and look into pros and cons. After some considerable research, I decided on this LG 77" CX. I wanted one that can sit on the stand instead of wall mount like that of the other model. What we love: The picture quality. OMG, it is superb. We really didn't know what we were missing until we actually see it. That old saying "you don't know what you don't know" is so very true. We thought for years that Samsung LED picture quality was great. Comparing the high end Samsung QLED to OLED, there is no comparison. OLED blows QLED out of the water. The dark screen is truly dark and not just dimmed LED lights. The nature scenes look as if you were actually there, up close and personal, instead of merely watching. If you are looking for superior picture quality TV, you can't go wrong with OLED. One thing, supposedly OLED is dimmer than traditional backlit LED such as that of Samsung. Across our living room are windows, and the lamp is there. There's always backlight behind us when we are watching TV, except a few times when we turned off the lights to watch horror movies. If the LG TV is dimmer than that of the Samsung, we don't see it. Everything about the picture quality is superb. Best Buy recommended that we bought extended warranty because OLED been known to cause burn in when an a still image is on the screen is too long, such as when you pause a TV show for an extended period of time. LG has built in screensaver where it kicked in after a minute or two of inactivity to minimize the risk of it. Without knowing that LG TV has that feature, we skipped the extended warranty anyway. The TV sound is good, but because we already have an LG soundbar, we use that instead, Just like any smart TV, there's some setting up to do to add to the network, download streaming apps, etc. It works seamlessly with Alexa just as our Samsung TVs. What we are not a fan of: We love the small, simplistic look of Samsung remote. It is not cluttered, and it is small and streamlined. The LG remote is very much similar to that of cable TV remote. It is just a tad smaller, and have numeric buttons and others. I understand the logic behind it that you should be able to use just one remote if you want to change the channel and not have to switch to cable remote. My take is that that's what cable remote is for. For me to watch regular TV. If I want to watch streaming like Netflix, Amazon, etc., then I'll switch back to my TV remote. If I could use my Samsung remote, I would switch in a heartbeat. Another feature that I don't like is the wireless mouse feature. When using that with the remote, it's very awkward and feels clunky. Most of the time, we use the arrow buttons on the remote instead. Finally, because the remote has so many buttons around it, we often had to look down at the remote to make sure that we are pressing the right buttons to adjust the volume or to change the channel. Those buttons are also black, the same as the rest of the remote so that makes it even more difficult to tell at a glance. Conclusion: Despite of the nuances with the size of the remote, the convoluted number of buttons on it, and the clunkiness of the wireless mouse feature, we love the LG TV. The price for it is close to $1000 cheaper than that of Sony. I thought long and hard and just could not justify for the price difference when the picture quality between the two were pretty much identical. When I looked at the two screens side by side, my wife and I along with our close friend, could not make out the difference. The price for LG OLED is definitely more than Samsung QLED. If you can get it, I highly recommend it.

I was able to upgrade from an LG 75" 4K UHD smart tv to the wonderful world of OLED. I have been watching content on an 50" plasma for many years then it died. I went out bought a normal 4K smart tv and I was really liking it but, it was missing the colors etc that an plasma had. I pulled the trigger on the this tv OLED no "buyers remorse " at all just do this. Yes, watching tv is a whole new level as anyone who has an OLED panel. I enjoy watching movies, shows and gaming etc who doesn't on a big screen. Sure it's last year model but this rocks and the price was great. I hope I future proof our tv for the next few years for now because you can really customize it to your enjoyment still finding settings for our situation. Bright room plenty of light watch tv during the night, movies, game it has a great package for everyone to enjoy. The panel is so thin wow just set it on your wall and forget about moving it.Burn in yes it's an thing but I am not worried about it a few setting on it will prevent you from burn in built in. (Geek Squad Protection) if you need it I opted out I have it set up to a simple home theater nothing crazy for our family room which works for us. No sound bar here old school two sub woofers!! Cable cutter here too plenty to watch over streaming apps etc 4K content you will need a bowl of popcorn!!

I've been lusting after this TV since it was $25k. Once the price finally dropped to where I'm happy with it, I did some final comparison research and found it is still the best TV that I can buy at this point in time for my needs. I've been holding out for OLED to upgrade from my beautiful 60" LG plasma and am glad I did. I've been surprised at how much 4K content is available via streaming services to enjoy the optimal viewing experience, but the upconvert from good 1080p signals is also quite nice. Not disappointed at all currently and looking forward to playing next-gen console games on it and possibly PC games if I feel like it. I love that the TV or Fire stick plugged into the TV can be the audio source and push out to my receiver for fantastic surround sound. I knew this was a thing even with my old TV, just that my new TV actually handles it well. I can now use either my LG TV or DirecTV remote to turn everything on (and off) with a single button and be watching the content I want - and this is of course very pleasing to my wife as well.

I've been watching movies and gaming on my 65in C9 since early 2020 so i already knew the benefits of OLED. I 've been really wanting a bigger OLED so when the CX dropped in price, I knew it was time to strike. What can i say about LG 's OLED tvs you havent heard b4? This set is BEAUTIFUL. I could have gotten the C1 but feature wise there isnt enough to distinguish the two from each other. So i took advantage of the price difference and added the 5 yr warranty to my order. PS5 and SERIES X should be played on a 120hz OLED for maximum effect. Do yourself a favor and pick this up b4 they're all gone because at this price of $2799.99 they won't last. OLED for life!!!

Amazing Inky blacks and great contrast. Set up in a room with windows directly across and still looks great unless you open the blinds which any tv suffered from. Speakers are great but actually don’t use them as primary source is a Klipsch home theater. Have not been able to see the 120hz refresh rate in action just yet but look forwards to it soon.

Bought a 65" C9 back in July of 2019 and that was my first oled experience. It blew me away, everything I was told it was. I wanted the 77" but it was out of my price range at that time. Now that the prices have come down, I decided to step up to the 77" CX. No real difference in the picture, physical looks or the menus of the TV that I have noticed. It works and looks just as amazing as my C9, just bigger. I put over 4000 hrs on that C9 in less then 2 years and had no burn in or even image retention of any kind. Maybe I got lucky, but as long as your not careless with what you watch and leave on the screen, you should fine. 100% the best TV I've ever owned.

This is my second LG OLED, I purchased last year's 65" C9, and needed a larger TV. When wanting a larger OLED, there only 2 choices, LG or Sony in the 77" OLED size. After much research and deliberation, I chose to go with what I knew. This year's LG CX is basically the same as the C9, except with a little more bells and whistles. There were a couple of additional picture modes, as well as a new a9 Gen 3 processor to boost picture performance and Nvidia G-Sync. The main determining factors between the LG and Sony was the LG is a little brighter, plus the LG supports HDMI 2.1 . Do yourself a favor, spend the little extra money and get the full articulating mount, it'll make it so much easier when mounting a TV of this size.

I'm coming from the first Gen oled which had about 450 nits at peak brightness and I loved it. Upgrading to the cx, I felt like it was going to be the perfect upgrade all the way around but.... It isn't. Let me explain, the peak brightness on this one is about 600 and its TOO BRIGHT. It may just be my eyes but where my ef9500 oled made EVERYTHING but hdr footage look amazing. New and old movies alike, the cx makes old movies look old, and non hdr footage look OK. Hdr footage looks amazing as it should but that's it. My other gripe is there is no 3d. While I understand that there hasn't been a 3d TV since 2016, some of the biggest movies of this year have been released on 3d blu ray, all of the 4k bluray players had 3d capabilities but tvs aren't 3d anymore? Just is odd. Gaming in the TV looks great. It shines in that aspect. Just know, if you watch a lot of older content, this oled may be too bright. Go for the c1, which I've heard does a much better job at sdr content.

Overall, really happy with the TV. There are a couple little things that at minimum annoy me. -There were some audio issues I encountered when I tried to use my AppleTV. It goes into one mode and that mode completely blocks the audio out to my LG sound bar. I got annoyed after trying several possible solutions I found on message boards. None worked long term and the only solution I could find was to unplug the TV, then unplug the HDMI to AppleTV and then plus back in and restart. Not really a solution for a 77" TV mounted 7' up and over a mantle. We don't use an AppleTV on this TV anymore. - I've also had a problem with the TV disconnecting from wifi. When I go to settings, the wifi is turned off. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. It has never happened while the TV was actually on though. -That brings me to the final problem, the remote. I'm not sure if mine is malfunctioning or if this is the way they all are. When the wifi does magically turn off, using the remote to turn the wifi back on is a real struggle. I've changed batteries, I've tried many things. Eventually, using the arrows and roller button, I am able to turn wifi back on. Other than that, we love the TV! Every time someone new sees it, they are amazed at the picture and I personally am still in awe of the great colors. There are quite a bit of apps available including the big ones: Netflix, Hulu, YouTubeTV, Prime Video, Disney+, Sling, Peacock, Twitch, etc... Like I said, we are overall really happy and I would definitely buy this TV again. My photos will not do the quality of the picture justice.

I absolutely love this 77" OLED CX TV. I was going to get the 65" OLED BX, which is probably the best value tv, however I have not regretted a single day with my upgrade to the 77". It's in a class of it's own, being slightly bigger than the normal 75". The true black of the OLED technology is so worth it. It enhances all the colors and makes for a stunning picture that you can't take your eyes off of. My only critique is the HDMI ARC sound output. It is a little buggy at times. Every now and then I have to reset it for it to connect to my speaker system. I did some research online and it seems to be an issue for some. Perhaps my dated Samsung 7.1 Surround Sound system is part of the problem, for my LG TV's sake I hope that is the case. I will be upgrading my sound system soon and I will see if it improves the situation. Overall I love this TV. You will too if you make the jump. Go for it! You only live once.

This is simply the best TV I've ever owned! Yes, this is slightly pricey but the picture is amazing, the apps are easy to access, connection to other devices such as blu-ray player is intuitive, the eARC to my audio receiver has more "umph", and the remote control can also substitute as a universal remote. The HD image detail is more defined and 4K images are stunning. I see TVs that are $20,000 and more, but I seriously cannot imagine their picture being superior to the CX.

What an excellent product. When discussing this purchase, my go-to Best Buy guy talked me down from a larger and more expensive model after hearing me out on how I planned to use it. Sacrificing 5 diagonal inches in screen size got me extraordinary color and PERFECT Blacks. The pixels in this tv are dynamic and make my movies and video games exquisite. I was literally still in awe using my PS4 yesterday evening (just a week and a half after installation). I know some folks might not want to pay so much for a television, however, I would say in this world you get what you pay for. So glad I caught the sale price. I recommend this LG OLED CX and it looks so stellar mounted to the wall.
