I can't believe how amazing this TV looks

I love this thing (the LG Evo 77’ TV) and I can't believe that I got it at such an incredible price! Originally, I saved up for about 8 months for a different purchase that I wasn't too happy with after my first week which was the Samsung LS49AG952NNXZA - AG900 Series Odyssey Neo G9 49" LED Curved QHD G-SYNC Gaming Monitor. I didn't like it and it retails for 2 grand and that thing doesn't have SPEAKERS in it and its costs waaaaay too much! Did I mention that it doesn’t have a speaker?!? Anyhow, I brought it back after 45 days after purchasing it and I got my money back but in the form of Gift Cards. As I was about to leave the store the Manager saw me and maybe because I’m a regular he noticed I wasn’t too happy with that purchase. He asked me what the problem with the Monitor was because he had one as well and I told him about the issues I had with it. After we spoke for a few minutes, he mentioned to me that there was a sale on a TV that I should take a look at, and I wasn’t in the mood to purchase a new TV but believe me when I saw this thing, I fell in love with it! But I couldn’t afford the $3700 price tag that came with it. The manager told me that it was on sale and that since I was a Total Tech Member, I would get an additional amount of money taken off of it as well. The TV I had before this magnificent piece of equipment was the curved Samsung 47” Model: UN48JS9000FXZA that I purchased from Amazon and after about 5 months of owning it, the HDR option on that TV ended up dying. I went through the process of getting the warranty but good god that was a nightmare I got a new one in the mail and sent the old one out back. And then again 7 months later it happened. After getting best buy’s genius installers out to my house and I am not trying to be sarcastic just saying they did an incredible job! These guys knew exactly what they were doing, and they did a spectacular job setting up my TV on the wall of my room. Originally, I purchased this other Wall Mount which was the BLF213-B1 it was a Sanus Premium Series. When the Geek Squad guys showed up, they were like no man that thing is not a good wall mount and they recommended me this other wall mount which turned out to be a little cheaper but was a much better wall mount. That wall mount was the BLT3-B1 which also was made by Sanus. I immediately purchased it from them because they had one in their truck, and they said that everyone they have ever installed large TVs for has always written highly about that wall mount. After owning this TV since last August all I can say is that I love it and as a gamer, it was a massive upgrade from my previous TV which I still use for gaming parties. Games like Destiny 2, and Horizon Forbidden West & God of War Ragnarok really shine on this thing. All of my friends love coming over for gaming parties now a lot more and I found that a lot of fighting games from the last-gen systems also look fantastic on this TV, especially Mortal Kombat 11 & Injustice 2 Gods Among Us. There are a plethora of other titles and RACING games that look amazing on this thing. I’ve never owned an LG TV before this one, but this thing really is gorgeous especially with the Black Levels and the Bright ones as well. I recently purchased several old classic films that looked better on this TV than my fathers' OLD tv at his house and that was a Sony tv but that tv is over 5 years old so it’s understandable, but I have had my father over for movie nights and he is just blown away at the look of it as well as re-visiting the Lord of the Ring films in 4K. I’ll be rating this TV a 5 out of 5 and I will be uploading images from my man cave as well!

    LG's OLED Dominance Continues!

Kinda funny how many reviews complain about the remote, ads on the tv, the delivery being less than ideal. A TV review should be about the TV not something unrelated that has you upset for whatever reason lol. Having said that here's my 2 cents! I came from a 2018 65" LG OLED and had been eyeing something bigger/newer for quite some time. When prices started really dropping on the 2021 models I figured it was time to make a move. For what it's worth I also upgraded some other things at the same time, mainly a Panasonic UB9000 and the Onkyo RZ-50. Setup was easy, I used the same wall mount that was holding my 65" model. Had to raise the mount about 6" but no big deal. This TV was surprisingly heavy, as you might imagine lifting/mounting is 2 person job. Out of the box the TV just looks amazing. I lean towards the Home Cinema and Standard picture modes, depending on the content. First order of business was re watching some of my favorites scenes, the docking scene from Interstellar and opening scene from The Dark Knight are truly epic. I know I upgraded more than just the TV but the audio/visual differences between this and my old setup were 100% worth the price of admission. The brightness, picture quality, and quickness of the processor (although not used much since I run streaming stuff through an Apple TV) is very noticeable compared to the 2018 model I had. If you are on the fence and have a TV that's a few years old or even older, this is something I would 100% recommend. This model and size is something I dreamed about for a long time, if you have the room to accommodate a larger screen, go as big as your wall and wallet allow you to :) Lastly if you're one the people worried about OLED burn-in due to horror stories from friends or youtube reviews or whatever else... DON'T BE. These TV's are equipped with software to prevent it and unless you're a total goof I just don't see how it would happen. My 65" was used regularly for 4 years, I played video games on it, watched ESPN, put it through plenty of programming with static logos and such... zero image retention whatsoever. Unless you're running CNN on an endless 24 hour loop I don't see how it will ever be an issue. Get off the fence. Buy it, get a good 4K disc player, good sound, cables, have friends and family over for movie night. You won't regret it, cheers!

Beautiful TV. My wife and I decided to hang this ourselves since I've hung every other television we've purchased. This was unlike any install I've ever done. The TV is so large and THIN that you risk breaking it just picking it up from laying face down. The built in bracket takes some patience to get hung on the two points of contact and our legs were shaking by the time we got it up. But we did get it without any problems. If I had to do it again, I would pay them to do it. Over all we love the TV. The apps are a little wonky, at least the Apple one is, because you can't rewind, fast forward, or pause anything. It fits really close to the wall, our top comes out a little further, not sure if it's the weight of the TV being so big or if the mount has pulled away, I guess time will tell. We decided to wait on the sound bar since we already had surround sound for movies and glad we did. The volume is really good on these speakers if you're just watching regular TV. Movies you're going to want to have a little better sound. Gaming is incredible on this thing. We are very happy and would purchase again. Minus 1 star because of the apps.

Picture quality out the box is better that even the mighty 15yo Pioneer Kuro display it replaces. The blacks or second to none and the brightness makes me wonder how I didn’t replace that old pioneer years ago.

Love our new LG G1. 77" of incredible quality in our living room. It is so slim and looks as though it is just part of the wall. The coordinating sound bar works and looks great too. The first sales rep didn't seem to have time for us, just wanted to tell us he gets credit for sales and was on to the next customer. Greg was incredible. Very knowledgeable in TVs and appliances. The most difficult part of this purchase was finding info in advance of delivery so would have the in wall electrical and wiring correctly installed prior to install. Both LG and Best Buy could improve in this area.

I upgraded from Lg C8 to this tv. At first I thought no picture differences. Well I’m glad to say I’m wrong. These newer processors with evo panel does make for better experience. While the price is at a low I would pick this up. Great gaming and movie tv. I would recommend updating tv to latest software and unplugged from future tv updates and enjoy the tv with Apple4k TV or some other 4k devices. Xbox Series X and PS5 and Panasonic ub820 player is popping. The sound on tv is okay but I used surround system 5.2.2 so movie night everyone come over to watch 77 inch.

This tv cost thousands more than we have ever spent on a tv, and we also splurged for the SN11RG surround sound system. We regret nothing. It’s beautiful. It has more features than I’ll probably ever use and I don’t care. I imagine most people have walls like ours that aren’t perfectly even or level. I think that is why it looks like it’s lifting away at the top and bottom (pic included). It doesn’t bother me one bit. I’m still shocked every time I see it and it’s been over a month. It is so slim and looks amazing on the wall. We did install an in wall cord management system. It is a round one with a black tube that went in the wall. It was around $40 at Home Depot. I measured over and over and over again once we got the mount on the wall because there was a lip on the faceplate and I wanted to line it up with the indentation on the back of the tv. I was successful, but getting the super thick, non-bendy hdmi cable I bought to lay right while also getting all the extra power cable dealt with was a challenge. Luckily, since we bought the SN11RG sound system, we only had to run the one HDMI cable up the wall along with our antenna. The PS4 is plugged into the SN11RG and works perfectly. If you can do it, I definitely recommend the SN11RG sound system to minimize the number of HDMI cables that have to be managed in the back of the tv. Once you get the TV on the mount, it is a challenge to get everything laying how it should to get the tv flat against the wall, but if you have a sound bar that has passthrough, once you get it up, you shouldn’t have to deal with it again even if you have additional devices.

There’s nothing much to say about this tv that hasn’t been said or seen when you go into a store. No problem with it so far. Everything looks great. Faster frames you could see a little jitter but you can compensate. It does sit pretty flush on the wall. I leave some space because I have hue light behind. Satisfied.

I have the 55 inch 20cx was looking to get the 83 inch c1 but wanted to see what was the difference in the g1 series but there is a much better pic shaper image and the black is deeper. My first 4K experience came about with the G1 and it was trully amazing. Is it worth the price jump and the smaller 77 to me the sharper the image the better so depends on the person but I’m happy with this G1. The 83 will be available this year for 22G2 can’t wait to see how it differs from this 77g1.

Worth every penny. Id you're scared go to church. This is Next gen with everything proven to me. The install was a breeze.(ill include a pic,, the included bolts to mount were barely used) The options are endless and i suggest game mode when you game , it is infinitely better than everything i have thought. Go through many options. Have to be smart. This tv is 30% cheaper than the GX just last elyrar and has a gen 9 a.i. chip. Do yourself a favor and buy a Vizio cause you aint ready. This is 2021 and beyond! Be prepared to use zip ties in the back for the cords. The plastic bracket was a mess.

Wow! Amazing tv…thought I’d splurge a bit and go high end and I’m amazed at the quality of this tv. Picture is ridiculous. I’m a pretty techie guy but not crazy (replacement tv was a 5 year old Samsung) but if you’re interested I say go for it! The UI has a lot of improvements to be had but not atrocious enough to reduce 5 stars. Gallery mode is legit…like Serzly legit.

Going into Week 3, I must admit I’m blown away! I purchased a Fair Open-Box, noticing a crack on the backside during installation. Proceeded with the process, my satisfaction has grown tremendously. Both, the picture quality and surround sound coming from the TV is surreal. The Gallery Series hugs the wall snug up top. I couldn’t ask for a better viewing.
