Best TV I've ever owned! Beautiful picture and resolution is amazing.

Tv has a lot of potential but has one strong Achilles heal tear that would absolutely make me never buy it again. You can see clearly the back light grid on this unit. I have 15 year old TVs with better backlighting. It’s a shame because everything else is great on the tv.

I am not an overly picky person. I have tried to live with the LG VA panel dirty screen/banding issues, but I couldn't handle it. Normal programming was o.k. for the most part, but commercials and solid color screens just made me angry every time I watched the T.V. I get that there is basically a "lottery" in regards to the quality of large LG VA panels, and I could have handled some random splotches, but the vertical bands just look so unnatural. On a positive note, I did put in a warranty claim with LG on the panel, and they replaced it in about 2 weeks. The new panel is better, not great, but I can live with it now at least. Otherwise, the operating system is decent and I like the remote. The apps seem to run pretty smooth. For this great price, you could take your chances on the panel. My recommendation would be to unbox it, plug it in, set up wifi and run a youtube screen color test video. Do that before you go to the trouble of mounting it so you can return it within the Best Buy window.

When I bought it was working well, but after a few months later the tv started glitching. The half of the screen was dark, so I had to call them to get my tv fix and they did it. The services was good but I wasn’t expecting that problem with the tv specially because this tv is not cheap. My mom had another tv from this brand and something happened with the screen too I think it will be the last time that I will buy from LG.

Unfortunately LG UP8770 was returned days after it was delivered. The picture quality was terrible, spots all over the screen were very noticeable. I was looking forward for this tv specially for size 82 inches.

Terrible picture quality. Dark colors are the worst. Very unhappy with this purchase. It was an expensive purchase and was not worth it at all. I financed the TV and I am still paying for it. Look at picture below, this was taken the day the TV was first turned on.

Screen has various dark spots, very noticeable during viewing when there is a large blank background during shows/movies. My other lower end cheap TVs don’t have this issue.

So far it has been wonderful. Beautiful picture. It was buffering on high definition Wi-Fi, so I ran an ethernet cable to it and solved the problem. I have a panoramic modem/router from Cox, so that may have been the issue. Pay attention to the measurements. This thing is huge. Get the delivery. At least two people needed to set this up. Feet are extra wide so make sure you have a wide enough entertainment center if you don't wall mount. If I had to do it over, I would buy it again.

This TV was a great size for filling an empty wall, the UI is pretty quick and the magic remote, is a pretty good remote. The Gaming mode makes gaming much more enjoyable with the faster responsiveness and the 120 hertz panel. The colors and blacks look pretty solid but some minor vertical banding tends to show up on light colored scenes around the center of the panel. Other than that, pretty happy with the purchase.

I PURCHASED an LG 65" last year and i felt in love with it,so much I purchased another one this time an 83" model last month. Everything about the LG I just like the menu its super easy,it feels like Im operating a 83" inch table. Easy ti navigate, easy to operate, outo installments, add/delete apps integrated Tv channels for free.LG its an excellent company in tv in my opinion, great value for your money.

Tv picture is fantastic in 4K 120hz, BE ADVISED you MUST HAVE the high end wifi package to be able to run 4K tv. If you have 100mbps wifi running into your home, that is not good for 4K as this TV uses a lot of data in 4K. You need Gigabit speed like Comcast, AT&T 500-1200 mbps packages. For gaming it is mind blowing detail on the screen, and at 120hz the refresh rate makes gaming lag minimal if not all but gone (if you have excellent wifi speed). I have Xfinity 1200mbps speed and it’s all great!
