I have been blown away by this tv. Absolutely gorgeous picture quality. I specifically bought this tv for my PS5 and it handles everything, 4K, HDR, 120 refresh rate, VVR, 2.1 HDMI, it’s a beast. OLED is just too expensive and this NANO cell is just as good in my opinion. I highly recommended this tv, buy it NOW!!!

I have been watching the LG OLED TVs drop in price and was trying to justify the expense because we wanted a large screen TV with an amazing picture. When the NanoCell came out and I did my research on the two different TVs. After comparing them and watching many reviews and them saying that the only way to tell the difference in the picture quality is with a light meter. I decided to save some money and get the NanoCell. Plus it is the largest one available without breaking the bank.(33K for the OLED 88") This 86" fits nice in my rec room and is clear no matter what angle you are looking at it from.

This TV is incredible. I replaced a 65" LG with this one and boy am I glad I did. First move was CoD on the PS4. Game play was MUCH smoother and graphics were clearer. Then some cable via HDMI. Very impressed with the picture there as well. Having a small issue with Netflix being frozen but I'll have that fixed in a minute I'm sure. If you're ready for the big leagues, this set is for you!!!

BLOWN AWAY BY THE PICTURE AND EVEN THE SOUND

Picked out for our new refurbished Beach House. Already owned a 2016 75” LG 4K 3D that I love, except the audio stinks to high heaven. But wanted the largest TV with the best picture I could get without spending $20K. Knew I wanted LG, as I was coverted from a Sony guy to an LG guy 10 years ago.
The answer was this Nano Color 90 series.
It does not disappoint! Fantastic sharp picture, far exceeding my 75”, but the sound is actually quite good for a TV. Definitely not horrible to listen to, until I get a chance to hook up my 9.2 theater audio system. The average person would be well satisfied with the audio on this TV.
Don’t need to go to movie theaters anymore with this puppy hanging 18’ from me. I’ll make my own popcorn, Thank you!

Initially purchased the Lg Nano 80 75 inch. Initial impressions over the picture quality I was impressed with how vibrant the colors were. The draw backs were, washed out blacks, the unit power cycled on me several times no eARC support, no dolby atmos or dolby vision support, and no Gsync ( not that Im a gamer, just a tech nerd ) I took advantage of Best Buy’s return policy until January 16th and returned it.
In turn I replaced it with the Lg Nano 90 86inch. I have to say.. you make compromises when dealing with a IPS panel. While the colors are still vibrant and pure and you get the full array local dimming, you suffer from the blooming effects on dark backgrounds with light images being at the forefront. However, unlike the “ lesser “ models, the blacks are as close to an OLED panel as you are going to get where the lesser models blacks are washed out and look grey.
Sound quality - while the set supports Dolby Atmos, the downward firing speakers are “ subpar “ by my standards. They arent the worst Ive heard, but they could be better. Suggestion - add a home theater system. Youll thank yourself later.
Web Os is still one of the best I have ever experienced, and though it could use some fine tuning and a UI update, its pretty quick and seamless. The magic remote does not disappoint by any stretch of the imagination.
All in all, if I had more of a “ budget “ I would have totally gone OLED, but I will compromise on the blooming effect over washed out blacks from the leaser models.
Would I recommend this model to other?. In a word, yes. If your budget allows for a large OLED, Go for it. If it does not and you do not want to compromise on the black levels like some of the lesser models, then this is the set for you.

My home theater room was lying useless for last 4 years because my appetite for screen quality and surround system was quite high, With my little research i figured unless i spent 20K the expectations were difficult to meet. Now with the TV screen size comparable to the projector screen, It became cost effective option besides several additional benefits and maintenance costs. Superb Colors & contrast ratio. WebOS made my screen to usable computer to watch several online videos. Free LG channels are an incentive with the TV. AI is an icing to the cake of several features. TV Audio is not great but I added Nakamichi 9.2.4 system to make my home theater into a complete Dolby Atmos IMAX theater at home. Overall project is complete in less than $4200.

I have only had the TV up for about 8 hours, but I do love it so far. The picture is crisp and the screen is absolutely monstrous. It fits on my wall perfectly.
Obviously, this is not an OLED, so the blacks are not perfect, but they are good. If there is a black background with white lettering, there is going to be some obvious glow from the backlight. This was expected, but it is MUCH better than my previous LG that only had 12 backlight zones. The pictures I attached appear exaggerated. The glow from the backlight is not as bad as the photos show, but it's still noticable. I went straight to Starwars to review this TV because I knew it would be a great test with with all the contrast. It performed admirably, but not perfect.
I bought this display mainly to run my PS5. It is fantastic for gaming. I don't have any games yet that run 4K/120hrz, but I don't doubt that it will be stunning. I played Assassin's Creed Valhalla and the picture was beautiful.
The remote is great, but it can be fidgety. If you don't like the cursor, then don't use it. The speech function on the remote works well. Overall, I wanted to give this a 5 star, but I landed with a 4 star because it is very good, but not perfect. I would say it is the best bang for your buck without dropping 5k+ on an OLED that isn't even as big as this. My finances don't allow for an OLED, so this is absolutely the next best thing.

Heavy TV. Two people lift to install.
Overall once installed you will fall in love with the picture. Pull up some 4k YouTube content and you will see why this thing is amazing. OLED is nice but this has a better balance to the eyes. Especially if you watch a ton of content.
After 30 days we will have the tv calibrated by a technician to really maximize the colors and specs of this TV.
The sound is great for the speakers in this tv.
A sound bar and woofer will be a great addition for at least 5.1 sound. Lg has one for sale on the Best Buy showroom. Roughly 700-800 dollars. My next purchase
You won’t be sorry. Really a great purchase.

Best bang for your bank. I’m upgrading from a top quality Plasma with some of the most amazing blacks in TV history and was concerned going LCD and not opting for OLED technology. Boy am I glad I did. Saved a ton of money even while getting an even bigger TV. The blacks on the Nano90 amazingly satisfying my needs while watching movies and gaming. The angles this tv can be viewed at is insane with no loss of picture quality. For gaming with HDMI 2.1 I’m all set to match new PlayStation and XBOX gaming consoles with their capabilities and all with some of the very best response times available on any gaming TV. Better yet no worries of burn in ever compared to if I had went OLED. This TV is so featured packed I feel like I purchased a TV that was the best money can buy. So yeah... get this TV!

Boom! That's what I said when the Best Buy Delivery Guys walked that Huge Box through my front door! I've shopped 85/86" TV's for 6 months and I can confidently say that this LG was the "Best Bang For The Buck". Definitely overwhelming at first, but you do adjust fairly quickly. The picture quality is excellent but it definitely need to be tweaked from the default settings. The true 120 refresh rate is the best in this category. The smart remote takes a little getting used to but once you get it down, navigating the TV and components is a breeze. Very Happy!

Worth the equivalent. Was considering a 77 inch OLED instead of this one thinking OLED would be the superior choice. Don’t regret my choice, worth it! Plus it’s 86”

Only been watching it for about 3 weeks but the crystal clear picture just has me blown away. I have a 65" Nano Cell and have been very happy with it, so when the time came to fix up the man cave I jumped on this model the the HDMI 2.1 input. I'm sure 8K will be better than 4K but growing up with a black and white TV and rabbit ears well just say I feel like George Jettson. Amazing set up with easy picture is incredible very happy.
