    Great "Affordable" UST Projector

A solid ultra short throw projector with surprisingly great color accuracy. (Go to projector central for a list og calibration settings). There are very few rainbow artifacts for a DLP projector. The auto low latency mode (ALLM) works great with 60 ms input delay. I am currently using on a non-alr screen. The projector is bright but an ALR-screen is required for daytime watching. The filmaker mode with "cinema screen" feature syncs with up with 24hz to eliminate judder as much as possible. You can also pick up a cheap subwoofer and attach it via optical out and the projector allows you to use both in house speakers and any other speaker attached simultaneously. The in-unit speakers have great highs and mids but lack bass. A cheap subwoofer can fix this issue. If you are looking for a well priced ust projector then the LG HU715Q is a must buy.

Really wanted to like this projector. Heated up my room and the fan was louder than expected. Sometimes when I turned the projector on, my preferences were gone. I had to keep setting my picture preferences (contrast, brightness, temp, etc.) Sorry LG but had to return it.

I’m absolutely floored by how good this thing is. The picture is incredible - in low light it is brighter than the plasma it replaced. With the Vividstorm floor-rise screen I got for it, the picture is viewable in my living room which gets a lot of natural light. Black levels are acceptable - not what you’ll get from an OLED or Plasma but you also won’t get this many inches for this price. Spectacular picture (once you disable the true motion stuff).

Had the projector for almost 2 weeks now. Upgraded from a BenQ HT1075. Loved the BenQ but it was time to upgrade to a 4k projector. Setup was annoying. It was hard to level and get a great picture out of the box. Took over an hour messing around with moving it, rotating it, tilting it, to fit perfectly on the projector screen. Once I had it set up, the 4k Image on bright scenes, such in daylight setting is amazing. Once you go to a dark scene, it lacks to impress. Still sharp but the colors/contrast is dull. Still an upgrade from the previous projector, but I was expecting more. I was debating about returning it, but. I ended up getting this unit on sale for about 2,000.00. In that price range, I doubt there was anything better for picture quality. And short throw was a must. The LG smart tv app interface is on par with the TV's however I will hook it up to an apple tv as they are missing quite a few apps, such as paramount plus and HBO max. Speakers did not disappoint. They were much better than anticipated. I do not watch the projector in a bright room so I cannot say how it works if you have light shaded windows. So far I am happy with the projector, even though it does not completely impress me, for the price point, it is really good. The most annoying thing about this projector is the fan noise. It is not loud but at times has this high pitched sound that make watching it annoying. Anyway would still recommend.

I love my new projector. It is very clean looking that fits right into my white theme Livingroom. it is known that projector needs to be used in a dark place, but I use it mainly for background music or nighttime movie. I love how it can be placed right next to wall that does not need any extra space inbetween.

Great value for money hands down!!! Amazing picture quality, good contrast and black levels for the price point for a single laser projector. Sound quality is good and easy on-screen controls. WebOS has a cool GUI & easy to navigate, just would have wished better App support. Sometimes there is some audible fan noise in quieter videos. I don’t use it for games so don’t have much feedback there but haven’t seen much of a lag with general navigation and browser usage.

What a shame I was looking forward to giving this unit a nice home but with a flaw coming straight out of the factory with the first model I’m convinced that other units will have the same problem so I am going with a Ben Q instead. Also it’s very difficult to align and set up if this unit did not come Flawed it would be a great price for the specs

Big LG fan but this one falls short of my expectations. Colors are washed out and fan noise is grating during bright scenes looks like this one was more about getting a product less than $3000 than it was actially making a product worth the expense.
