Great Phone - hits (almost) all the marks for me

This is probably the perfect phone for me, and I've gone through a few to get here. I've had the LG G6, V20, V30, V35, and finally arrived with the G7 Thinq. First, I love the LCD screen, it's simply gorgeous and I think looks more natural than OLED (in my opinion), despite the power-saving features of OLED. I actually like the notch feature as it keeps the top of the phone from being blocked up with all my notifications!!!! The camera is great and takes perfectly fine shots in auto or AI-cam mode, but in manual mode, this camera shines!!!! You just can't beat the Hi-fi audio from the DAC, and the phone still retains a headphone jack (big plus for me, no dongle). My only gripe (hence the 4-stars) is the small-ish battery (3000mAh). I can get through a full day of email, texting, redditing, and web-surfing but I don't have a lot in the tank (maybe 20-35% remaining depending on use), where my V30 and V35 still could finish the day at 50% remaining or more. Having wireless charging helps ease my anxiety about running out of juice and rapid (wired) charging is also nice! Ultimately, my decision to go with the G7 vs the V35 was based mainly on the form factor, I can easily operate the phone one-handed and it is IMO more pocketable than the V-series, despite being longer overall. I'm also happy to say that this is the first unlocked phone I've purchased that supports wi-fi calling with ATT out of the box. In the past, I've had to resort to all sorts of software trickery to make it work and didn't need to do that this time around. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and happy that it comes with a 2nd year warranty from LG should I need it!!!!!!!

My wife was in desperate need of a new cell phone after doing a little research this phone was right up her alley. I got it for her as an early Christmas gift and she has not put it down since. I made the switch from iPhone back to android and honestly the only thing she misses is the face time but she found her way around that so she is truly happy with this phone she hasn't been off it since she got it literally she is glued to this phone. Now while its not a iPhone, over rated if you ask me, which she is used to the functions on this phone are easy to use and she took to it like she has always used an android LG which is saying a lot for someone who is not very tech savvy. I would definitely recommend for anyone.

Bought this to replace an old broken phone. Thought I would have to sacrifice on features because of the low price point. MAN, was I WRONG! This bad boy can do everything the current gen flagships can do, while maintaining great battery performance. On top of that--THAT QUAD DAC sounds AMAZING! Really powers my audiophile-grade headphones with ease! (HD600 daily drivers, as well as Hifiman Sundaras powered no problem and sound great!)

Wanted a new LG phone and this one doesn't disappoint (LG G7 ThinQ). Best Buy offered it $150 less than the cell phone service provider. Only have a few days and still slight learning curve, but so far, so good. Very pleased with purchase and customer service at Best Buy.

Came from an S9+. The ergonomics and weight of this phone are much better. The screen, even with the notch, is fantastic.
RAM management seems to be an issue - some lag opening apps. And the camera is meh at best. The wide angle is cool but pics from the main shoooter come out so so, even in the best lighting conditions.

I recently changed from Samsung to the LG because it was cheaper and had some great reviews. I also needed a new phone because my Samsung had charging issues. Being with Samsung for the last 3 upgrades I was a little skeptical. Between this and the Google Pixel 3a I chose to get the LG because it does the SD card up to 2TB which apparently isn’t available yet. And I also can separate the notification volume and not have it grouped in the ringtone volume which is a must for me. Everything works well. The only issue I had before is something happened and my phone would never connect back to my car one day. My nephew had to reset the network settings which forced me to have to re-sign in to every WiFi network and pair my watch again. So far that is the only issue with the phone and it hasn’t done it since.

Loved my G5 so when it died i decided to try the unlocked G7 thinq. Love the lack of pre-loaded apps. There were only a few I didnt want.
Camera is nice. Takes a bit of getting used to tho.
Overall, i love it.
Only downside is that it will not connect to the pokemon go plus. Something about the Bluetooth will not connect. I use it to load up on pokeballs when out walking so when i go shopping my youngest is distracted.

LG doesn't usually get a lot of love but it does make decent phones. I gravitated towards this phone for its quad dac and it didn't disappoint me. I was looking at this phone as music first and then everything else rest...

I absolutely love this phone so far! Its super easy to use and fast. It has so much internal storage which is a plus. I also put a 32GB sd card in for more. The battery lasts me all day long with no issues. I upgraded from the LG G4 to this one and I plan to continue sricking with LG.

Wanted to move back to an Android phone from the iPhone I currently had. After a lot of searching and comparing via online reviews, I bought a Blu Vivo XI+. It was a great phone but the camera seemed to be lacking. I bought the G7 and everything about it is perfect, including the camera.

I upgraded from the LG G6, but hesitated as reviews I had seen were not the best. This phone surpassed every expectation I had for it and then some. It is by far the best phone I've owned and surprisingly a significant upgrade from the G6. Well done Lg

Have a really hard time choosing between this and a galaxy s9. For the price this is a really excellent phone, with a great camera and screen and sound.
Definitely recommend especially if you have large hands, it makes typing so much easier. And especially if you dont like curved screens.

LG has had issues with reboot loop but made huge improvements with LG6 and now 7. The 7 is noticeably faster than 6 and seamless. The best feature is the 16 MP camera takes crisp brilliant pictures.

This is a great phone. Comes loaded with the basic apps you need to get started and then you add what you need. The unlocked version works great on the Straight Talk phone service. The prepaid company I had before didn't work at hunt club but this is great.

My Note 9 has the telephoto lens vibrating problem. Was very dissatisfied with Samsung. I had severa LG phones before and they never disappoint. Everyone talks about how good the Iphone and the Samsung phones are. The thing is that they never have them long enough to see how crappy those are. You want a phone for the long haul go with LG. Alot of people overlook at a LG phone. Will stay with this G7 for a while.
