Best washer and dryer combo

This high tech washer/dryer combo is great and significantly better than the earlier version LG model I purchased in 2012. It is sleek in design and compact. It has WiFi capabilities so I can control its start from an APP that I installed on my iPhone (although I have not used this feature yet). The best feature, which I’ve used several times, is the ability to set both washer and dryer cycles at the start. Once that’s set, I don’t have to do anything else until I take the clothes out to fold. Additionally, the machine memorized my settings after I used the wash/dry cycle several times.
Pros: 1) being able to wash and dry in same machine
2) Dryer capability much improved from earlier model so it doesn’t take as long to dry and actually dries the clothes instead of leaving them damp
3) Quiet overall
4) Detergent dispenser which can be filled and then dispense detergent incrementally for each wash
Cons: 1) detergent dispenser on the bottom of machine. I can’t access due to machine sitting in a tray that has sides on it which don’t allow me to open it. Also I’m physically challenged and can’t bend over to pull out the detergent drawer. I’m also expected to clean out the lint drawer just underneath the detergent drawer. Apparently the machine was supposed to sit on top of a small quick washer sold separately at a premium price. Not a great addition to have to purchase that to elevate the washer/dryer. Now I have to figure out who can build me a platform on which I can set the washer/dryer.
2) As an alternative to using the detergent dispenser LG has a rubber collapsible detergent cup to put in liquid detergent. The instructions say to put that on top of your clothes. BIG MISTAKE!! This badly stained brand new Egyptian cotton sheets and numerous items of clothing. The stains unfortunately are permanent.
3) Very Expensive especially when I added the extended warranty and set up of the machine. I’m hoping it lasts me many years.

Great washer/dryer combo

We love this LG washer/dryer combo. It is far more efficient and gets our clothes so much cleaner than the apartment sized stackable we had. We have not had any issues with orders or damp clothing when removing clothes after the dry cycle. Several other reviews have mentioned these problems, but we did not encounter them. I did run the washer empty with a wash machine cleaning agent prior to using it the first time. This may explain why we did not have the order that others have mentioned. I also use an eco-friendly, highly concentrated, non-liquid detergent and wool dryer balls instead of softener. I was concerned about the clothes getting clean without using the auto detergent and fabric softener dispenser, but my detergent works great! I just put the detergent straight in the washer and bypass the auto dispense feature. We love this machine and would definitely recommend it!

Specs are inaccurate

I love LG but this seems a little overrated and the specs are incorrect.
There’s no dryer vent in back. This us VENTLESS. Also: it is not counter depth, well not all of it; see, the base sticks out and tapers in a number of inches so the top is counter depth.

A Fantastic Machine with a Filtering Challenge

The machine is excellent! The only drawback is that it allows too many small items, such as socks and pants, to pass through the filter. This might force you to consider purchasing the 0.7 sidekick pedestal for around $800 if you manage to locate one. Also, the drying time is 5 hours!
