Got this washer and matching dryer for Christmas. Love it so far. It's just the two if us so the size is perfect. Got the stacker bracket and had it mounted as a stacker unit. Love that. This washer has so many options I haven't tried them all yet. Easy to understand controls.

This is a disaster product. The plastic drum cracked internally and causes leakage. The machine is just 20 months old and has been perfectly leveled and operated. Absolute junk. Don't buy!!

Couldn't have been happier with this machine. It gets clothes clean, the capacity is far bigger, I found, than stated. It's efficient in terms of both water and electricity usage, and is relatively quiet.

This replaced a Maytag Neptune front load from 2001, it holds much more!
it is very quiet, being on the 2nd floor of the house that is important. Only really noticeable when in the higher speed spin cycle, yet still very acceptable.
The cycle times per wash if using many features can be lengthy, but given the large capacity this is not an issue for my use.
Very simple to use. I am very pleased with this purchase.

My husband and I searched high and low for a good washer. We did a lot of research and talked to a lot of different appliance stores. Because of the previous reviews (both personal and online), we decided on this machine and are absolutely thrilled with it. Great cycles, I especially love that we can fit all of our bedding (comforters included) into it. Removes pet hair easily too, which was a must for us having a dog that unfortunately sheds quite a lot. We also really like how energy efficient it is. It measures out just the right amount of water to put into each load through it's sensor. We waited a few months before we wrote this review to make sure everything was functioning well, and it is. Overall, we are very pleased with this washing machine.

We replaced our older model front load machine about a month ago. The technology has definitely improved over the years! For the same size machine, I can now wash much larger loads with less water and everything comes out clean and soap free. Also, the spin cycle is so efficient that my old dryer doesn't have to run as long to get everything dry.
Very happy with all the cycle choices and the steam function. And everyone in the family loves the little tunes it plays when turning on/off or signaling the end of the cycle. No more annoying buzzer!

Really happy with our new washer and dryer; our previous unit was small and loud; we used to feel like we were doing laundry all the time - and the house felt like it was in final launch sequence; now we get all of our laundry done in less than half the time and it's a really quiet unit; haven't yet tried the steam function but looking forward to it; worth waiting for the sale price - and the the 'end of cycle' signals are cute

Haven't tried all the cycles yet but the ones that I have used let us cut down our total laundry time and made for an easy process. Great size tub, low water use and good cleaning action as well as easy selection of cycles. The washer senses things so fewer water level adjustments needed. Wonderful washer.

Needed to upgrade the washer/dryer set that was left in our house. Picked this one up and the matching dryer on an open box deal at our local BB. I must say they clean far superior to any top load machine that I have ever used and I have already noticed a drop in our energy bill/water bill in just one months usage. We normally only do about 5-7 loads per week but the savings will add up over the year.
For just the efficiency aspect, this is a smart buy.
However, it is much louder than I would have anticipated. Our laundry room is central to our house and the noise from the machine will echo throughout, something even our 20 year old set would not do. I need to look into something to reduce the sound, but I'll trade off a little background noise for clean clothes any day.
Also, we love the little chime the machine makes when the cycle is done...way more pleasant than the annoying beep from my previous set.

We have been using a Fridgidaire washer and dryer and found the LG to be as good if not better and at a great price. After we purchased it we found it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports. The laundry comes out really clean and spins almost dry. It is a great value and I highly recommend it.

Love the fact that there is energy savings and water savings. I did not think I would like the fact that I couldn't add clothes during the cycle but got use to it the first day. I do like the fact that there is a allergen mode as I have children that have dust and pollen allergies. I also like the high speed spin features. I upgraded my washer but not my dryer but the clothes dry much faster which gives me an additional savings. My top loader washer broke so I decided to go ahead and upgrade. The extra money was well worth it as I know my savings on my energy bill will more than make up for the additional cost. I am really sold on front loaders now and I don't have to hear all the noise my old washer made. There is a lot less lint in the dryer, so I know the clothes with last longer.

This washer is great, and I highly recommend it. After reading others comments, it's important to note that the door needs to be left slightly open for the washer to dry out completely after using. My son gave me this tip after using his washer for several years now. This will prevent the musty smell other reviewers have mentioned. I'd recommend that the manufacturer modify the door latch to accomplish this.

Overall I am very happy with my new LG Washer.
I purchased it based on the high ratings from consumer reports. I was not let down. The actions are quiet and efficient. I had a hard time finding the steam function but when I figured out where and when to use it, I got great results. I like that I dont have to use so much detergent and I can usually get three peoples laundry done with good results.

This was one of me and my wife's best investments. It is a great, high quality washer, great timing for simple washes, very easy to use after you read the manual and a really great energy saver. Use only specific HE detergent!

My last washing machine was just not getting our clothing clean enough.
My daughter has an LG and likes hers so decided I wanted to try one.
I am so glad I did. It works great and our clothes are so much cleaner!
It is quiet, spins the clothing so well that it takes much less time to dry
them than my old machine. Also like the quick cycle for items that aren't
that soiled but just need some touching up.

We've had our new LG for a few weeks now and love it. I love LG products anyway, so when our old washer died and this was available for a good deal we jumped on it. The highlights of this machine is that it holds more and has a bigger door, making it easier to get things out. Love the load balancing function and the cycle time display is also a very handy feature. Even better is the ability to set a load to wash later in the day, so now instead of coming home to clothes that have sat in the washer all day, I just set it to start an hour before I get home. This machine does an excellent job at washing and isn't very noisy. Have to say though that the old machine (a Whirlpool) was a little quieter. The controls are computerized of course, which is ok, and there's a nice chime when you turn the machine on and when the cycle ends. This is an ok feature, but sometimes I wish there was a way to change the tone of the chime. There are a lot of different settings, and I especially like the steam setting and the one to clean the washer tub. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that you can't pick and choose the settings as you like, similar to the older manual machines where you can simply set the knob whereever you want...these settings are somewhat predetermined depending on what type of wash cycle you choose. You can change them, but within limits. Overall a great machine and very happy with it. Would definitely recommend.

I like the way it holds large loads, but can still do small loads. Seems to be getting clothing clean. Like the quick cycle. It has a nice appearance. Love, love, love the water savings.
Just fit into the space with a few major adjustments to the closet it is in.
Not sure yet about the value of the steam. Maybe I will figure that out.
It vibrates pretty much during spin cycle despite balancing it multiple times. Not sure how to fix that.
Just barely fit a fluffy queen size comforter. Did not get the lint out of the stitch lines- more room would have helped. But it was clean overall.
