Customers are enthusiastic about the TurboWash 4.3 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer's quiet operation, excellent cleaning ability, and ease of use. Many appreciate its large capacity and effective spin cycle, resulting in clothes that are drier after washing. While some users noted issues with the door seal and occasional odor, the positive feedback on cleaning performance and quietness significantly outweighs these concerns. The energy efficiency is also a frequently cited advantage.

Had a top load for years that wrinkled clothes so much I was forced to Iron almost everything. Now my clothes come out clean, damp dry, and not wrinkled. Said goodbye to my iron when I bought this machine. Easy, easy to use.

I love my new washer and dryer set. I have them stacked and it works great. However, if I didn't have them stacked, I would want a pedestal for them. It is a little low to get into. Washes great - quick and efficient and takes large loads easily. And it looks beautiful too.

Great brand appliance to buy! This is the second LG washer and dryer set I have purchased and they are impressing me more as time goes on! I only bought a new set because I included my originals in the sale of my home, I had used them for about 5 years, never an issue always a great clean!

Within a month of purchasing this washer, there was leaking all over my floors. Best Buy said since it was a day over the month, there was nothing they could do with no extra cost. I got in touch with LG who said that this is a COMMON OCCURENCE for LEAKING and there was nothing they could do, and left. I now have a 2 month old leaking washer in my house that is ruining my new floors. Will never trust best buy reviews or site again. Attached is service technician comments. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

3.5 months later and no regrets! I can wash a queen sized comforter in this thing and still have space left! On the flip side I can do smaller loads and not feel as guilty about water because I know the sensor will adjust to the needed the amount. Turbowash is quick and effective. Yes, there are more modes on here than I will ever know about, but hey if I want to, I can reference my manual. So far that need hasn't arisen. The washer is decently quiet. There are some initial thumping noises when it balances out, but those are over quickly. With any front loaders, you must be careful not to shut the door completely or the moisture will be vacuum sealed in and could smell bad. I read this in other reviews and follow this practice and haven't had any issues. Overall, this washer has made doing laundry immensely more enjoyable (though I still hate folding and putting away laundry). I did lots of research before deciding on this unit, and I don't have any regrets. Also, I do have the matching dryer, and they are stacked, which you can see in my picture. The stacking works great and saves me a lot of room. Of course, they are very tall when stacked, but that's not an issue as far as everyday usability. Just grab a stool or a tall person if you want to use the steam feature on your stacked dryer.

Save Water!

I have already saved $5 on my water bill for one month, that's $60 a year! This washer cleans efficiently and is relatively quiet (makes more noise at the beginning when it's getting started.) The controls are easy to use. Since I stack the washer/dryer units, this makes the washer low so I have to kneel to get the clothes out and then lift them into the dryer on top. If you have any physical limitations, it may not be a good option to stack them. They fit in a small closet and the washer holds a lot of clothes.

Machine does what it is supposed to and that is wash clothes. My wife and I have run almost every cycle and they all work great for their designed purpose. If you run the machine on the highest spin speed your clothes don't need much time in the dryer.
Superb cleaning on a minimal amount of detergent and water.
The ability to connect to your phone is really cool. You can perform diagnostics, download different cycles, or even just pull statistics on your cycles run over the life of the machine. The app will also tell you when it is time to clean the tub based on manufacturer suggestions.
The liquid bleach and softener dispensers are a little finicky as they function on a siphon so a few times I have had the liquid I put in drain out right after I do that. It took me a few loads to figure that out and you just have to pull the tray from the machine and turn it upside down, then you won't have problems.
The True Vibration system functions almost identical to the Samsung VRT system. They both use ball bearings as counter-balances to the load in the tub. The LG system works very well, and is very quiet. The whole machine is actually very quiet. The loudest part of the cycle is when it fills with water.
Also as far as I am aware, LG is the only brand to gel-pack their computer boards. This helps to protect them from moisture and vibration.
My wife and I are very happy with this purchase and would recommend this machine to a friend. We also have the matching dryer to go with it. We expect this machine to go for many years to come.

After many years of using a traditional agitator style washer, which requires TONS of water per load, we wanted to conserve water, especially in SoCal and convert to a front loader. The electronics and feature set are impressive. It's clear these units are gentler on clothes but we never had a concern our clothes were getting destroyed in our traditional washer. Because front loaders don't submerge the clothes, certain particles will stick to clothes. Our dog bed cover was more thoroughly cleaned by our agitator washer.
We did our homework and felt good about the Samsung brand and are pleased with the unit overall. It has a lot of features, runs very quiet and saves a lot of water. It does require some routine maintenance to prevent mold in the door seal and it may not clean as well as our original washer. Overall, no regrets. Best Buy offered a great price and we were happy with the service and installation.

LG Washer is Great but Buying Experience was Bad

I saw this advertised on February 21, 2015. It was on sale for a great deal. I attempted to purchase it via the website but, for some odd reason, when it got to the schedule a date section, it would kick the entire purchase out of the cart. So, I called customer service. The very nice customer service lady tried to allow me to purchase but it wouldn't work for her. She absolutely puzzled as to why. The item still showed for sale online.
I called the local store on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga. The customer service lady did manage, after some difficulty, to do on over the phone purchase but the delivery date would not be until March 20...nearly a month away. There was no explanation except she surmised that it must have a big seller. As a side note, I am not pleased with the new return policy of 15 days or with the pick the points OR the financing. Seriously, Best Buy, if you want to compete, you have to go back to the old policies.
A week before my washer was to be delivered, I noticed that the machine had now dropped in price by $25. Not only that but it continued to show as in stock online. I don't know why it was going to take a month to get it delivered. I went to the store and asked for a price adjustment from the $799 that I paid to the $774 that it was on sale for...before it was ever delivered to me. My God, you would have thought that I was the first person in the entire history of Best Buy to do this. The young man behind the customer service counter, James Lively, just couldn't figure out how that could be done. Then, he left the counter and was gone a good while (while the line kept getting bigger). He finally came back and told me that the Assistant Manager, Tom Huskin, said that I would have to take delivery of the washer before they price matched themselves or it would kick my delivery out of the system and they would have to give me a date FURTHER out. I also asked about buying an extended warranty but was told to wait until delivery.
Delivery day rolls around. The delivery guys were prompt and courteous. The delivery took only 15 minutes. That part, at least, was impressive. After getting my month's worth of clothes started in the washer (the bearing went out in the old one and I couldn't do laundry), I called Best Buy to get the price adjustment and ask again about the extended warranty. Someone took my number, order number, and said that I would get a call back. I never did. But, a few days later, I called back and was told that I got the $25 credit and it was too late to buy the extended warranty.
About the washer, it is FANTASTIC! It can wash a load of clothes in 15 minutes on Speed Wash!!! It is very quite. I really like the Turbo Wash feature. It has a huge choice of settings and will steam clean your items. I have used the Allergiene cycle on my bedding. It takes a while...around 56 minutes...but that was a typical wash cycle on my old washer which was also an LG. That machine was 10 years old and went through 4 teenagers so I went back with LG because I knew it was a work horse.
Overall, I love the washing machine but I hated my buying experience at Best Buy. After this was delivered, I discovered that the machine is also at Home Depot and Lowes. The next time that I need an appliance, honestly, I will probably shop elsewhere. I hate that as I've been a Best Buy customer for a long time.

We purchased this in the July 4th sale and Best Buy had the overall best price and customer service. The sales consultant was very nice and explained the features. In the few weeks we have had the washer, it has been excellent. The cycles are super comfortable and quick, very quiet compared to similar machines and cleans very well. We use it 2-3 times a week at least and uses very less water and doesnt really make much of a dent in your utility bills. Overall very happy and would definitely recommend to anyone!

I've had this for three weeks, Performance is very good -- the cycles are fast, laundry is clean, and the options are sufficient for my needs so far. It's in an upstairs laundry room, and it is very quiet. The settings look complicated at first but they are actually quite intuitive after you do a load or two. I especially like the feature that makes it very easy to leave the door just a bit ajar so that the interior dries out and there is no musty smell. If it remains reliable, it's a great buy.

Purchased to replace a Bosch that lasted over 10 years with very heavy use and loved it. It was a coin toss between this LG and the comparable Samsung. They both had very high ratings. For me the tipping point was that the Samsung was 3 inches deeper and we have a tight space in our laundry room so we chose the LG. I was slightly concerned on some of the negative reviews that mentioned, 1) hammering water sound during fill and rinse 2) water leaking
We have had the machine for about 45 days and it gets a LOT of use with 3 teenagers.
So, i was prepared to counter the water hammering noise with arresting valves, I even purchased them before the washer was delivered. Both my wife and I agree that there is no such sound. I don't know if it's because we are on well water and not the strongest water pressure or if it's because the laundry room/water intake is at the far end of the house from the water pump, but we didn't need the arresting valves and I've returned them. Over all the machine is incredibly quiet. As for the leaking - we have had no such issues. Not a drop. We haven't really played around with the custom programs yet so can't speak to that. We use the basics: Whites, Perm Press, Towels and the Bulky items setting - great for my sons' sleeping bags after camping. Clothes come out very clean (similar to our old machine) and bone dry b/c of the high spin speed. Dryer time is definitely reduced.
I really like the magnetic stopper that keeps the door open slightly, it really helps allowing it to air out between washes. Controls are simple and intuitive. We have an LG refrigerator that has lasted us for over 9 years so i expect the same quality from this machine. We didn't purchase the matching dryer but will since we decided give our laundry room a makeover. I've seen some comments on people upset that there is a little water left in the detergent compartment. We had this with our last washer as well, I think it's a common thing with Front Loaders. It's such a small amount of water and I don't think it's a big deal and since we use (have always used) our machines so frequently, we've never had any mildew issues etc... actually, the compartment on the LG smells fresh like detergent. Not an issue for us.
All in all a great machine. Very pleased with the purchase.

We have had the washer about a month now, and I absolutely love it! This replaced my Kenmore front load washer which I had for about 11 years. We chose this specific model because it was highly rated in consumer reviews. The features are easy to choose, and the results are great. Clothes come out clean I find that pre treating soiled items is not necessary.
The service from Best Buy was great. Ordered on Thursday and it was ready for pick up on Friday. I just used the steam feature for the first time, and was very pleased. The washer senses the load size, which my old one did not. I like that, so I don't feel so wasteful if I choose to run a smaller load, or nervous that a larger load won't get washed as well.
I really did a lot of research in choosing this particular model. I am happy that I did!!

This LG model washer cleans really well and if you read the owners manual and instructions before you use it you should have not one problem, as some state in their reviews about HE machines having an odor or clothes smelling after washing. Sure if you leave clothes in any washer after they're done for a long period they will have that certain smell, we've all done that! Just rewash them if you forgot them in the machine overnight. But seriously, we've owned this now two months and it has been a great product for us. LG also makes a lot of Sears Kenmore washers too. Very quiet operation runs smooth and looks terrific. A very dependable washer from a very dependable company. Researched and compared to many others and confident on this one.

LG washer works perfectly and I have no complaints. Definitely a great buy!
Interesting thing happened when we bought the washer from Best Buy. The sales person told us that the washer doesn't come with the water hoses and we would have to purchase them separately. Sadly I took that on faith and didn't look into it further. LG definitely sends hot and cold water hoses with their washer.
On a side note, the washer uses quick pulses of water to wash and rinse during the cycle. This is an intended and perfectly normal process, but it can lead to a small issue with some home water systems. The quick pulses can cause water hammering which sounds like banging in the walls. It is due to the sudden stop in the flow of water as the valves in the washer quickly close. Some homes have this issue with other appliances or faucets. The solution is installing a water hammer arrestor. These can either be installed on the home's water system as a whole or installed at the source. Picking up a couple small arrestors will solve the problem.

These are about $11 each and install right in line with the hoses on the water valves for the washer.

I had a Maytag Neptune before and it lasted five years and then could not be repaired. I read the reviews on the LG turbowash and LOVE it. Absolutely no problems so far AND the best thing is is that it has true balance and does not wobble across the floor in the kitchen, is very quiet and gets the clothes cleaner that the Neptune AND they are almost dry by the end of the last spin cycle. It also figures out how long to wash depending on what you put it. Sometimes it's less than 30 minutes. So far I am VERY pleased with the purchase. PLUS the stainless is MUCH more attractive than the Whirlpool so it looks as my son says "like it should be NASA approved."

We have an extended household that includes a toddler and teenagers, as well as multiple adults. This washer goes through five + cycles a day sometimes, plus a variety of clothing, bedding and the like. It is in use virtually every day. Having put this machine through long hours for some weeks now, it has never failed to deliver quality clean laundry on any setting. And we have yet to find a laundry need it cannot handle. This is a true "no regrets" purchase: it is attractive, has plenty of cycles, is intuitive to use, takes minimal detergent, runs quiet and simply does its job without needing to be babied all the time. That gets it five stars without any question.

I love my new LG washer and dryer set! It holds tons of clothes, its quiet, and the clothes get a great wash! Did I mention that the set looks absolutely stunning? I purchased the pedestals and that worked out well. No bending when I wash. I didn't really check the dimension when purchasing, but the set fit just right in my small washroom.
