OUT of the box this monitor is a monster, great picture, refresh rate, and size. its great for movies, gaming and much more. I bought 2 of these monitors and they both came in with Horrible Ips Glow. It looks like a bunch of flashlights all over both of them. They will be both going back and the hunt for new gaming monitors continues. I am not knocking any stars because of it. I love this monitor i really do. I love LG i am a fan boy of them. I own TV's and my cell phone is a LG v60 so yeah its not there fault. Ips glow is something that comes with buying IPS panels. I just wish these came in perfect so i could keep them. LG if you read this what can we do so i can get perfect monitors with no IPS glow or Blacklight bleed can you test them and hand pick them so i can Keep the LG theme in my house. Ill do anything to have a no problem monitor that last me for the next 6 years. I would recommend this monitor and i have already. Its stunning! If your looking for a 1080p 144hrz 27'' This is it look no further. I will say this though "May the Odds Ever Be In Your Favor" I am building a whole new setup and wanted to do it with LG but i might have to look some where else. i am wicked sad by this.

Great looks and very smooth display with the display port 1.4 cable and just letting everyone know they included the cable! That’s $30 right there! I’m super happy with my purchase. My last monitor was a dumpster LCD HP 24” I fixed and lasted 4 year And wanted a better gaming Display since I upgraded everything else on my PC

Great Gaming Monitor with 2 Minor negatives

The monitor comes with a display port cable about 4 feet long. This is a gaming monitor in almost every sense, so expect text to be not so easy to read on websites in anything other than its native 1920 - 1080 resolution, and some distortion if you use other sizes. I took no stars off for this because you know what you are paying for here. The difference is not too bad, but is worse than my previous 24 inch monitor because 1080 resolution is better for 24 inch size, due to it having more pixels per inch (I think 90 for 24 inch and 81 for 27 inch) That is not a game breaker though because I knew this coming in but wanted to get a slightly bigger monitor and eventually a three monitor setup. The other slight negative is the stand. The stand is very sturdy and sleek. It's rather beautiful really, but the lowest height of the riser pole for this monitor still keeps it right about 18 inches, with about 3 to 4 inches off the top of the desk. I knew this too, and will get a Vesa triple stand, but it's something to point out for those without the headroom on your desktop if you have a hutch. I have only used this to play a couple of games that are not graphic intensive and the difference in its 144 hz refresh was like night and day compared to my 60-75 hz monitor. Minecraft is smooth like watching a movie. I was amazed by this and no sacrifice on quality. Overall, this is a great monitor if you only want one monitor and do a lot of gaming, but if you are going for a 3 monitor setup, you might want to stick with 24 inch at 1080, or move up to 32 inch with higher resolutions. 27 inch monitors are kind of in the middle of resolution for their size. Running monitor with i5 4690k, 16 gigs Ram, Rtx 2060 MSI Gamer X in Windows 7 64-bit. Also would like to add I made no tweeks to the out of the box settings for this monitor.

Its a sweet monitor, the refresh rate and response times are admirable. It came with a dead pixel in the upper left corner which was pretty irritating but something I didn't even bother dealing with because I thought the customer service would have been more difficult to deal with than just leaving it be. I have it paired with an xbox one x and my gaming computer paired with its bigger 4k60 brother. It's pretty perfect for my current set up and I am looking forward to the new xbox to get 1080p120 out of the monitor with FreeSync. for a 1080p monitor, the picture is very impressive and fools me into thinking its 4k. It will take a 4k60 HDR and step it down.

I'm a gamer and let me say first that I went from a 32" 4k hdr 60hz monitor to this one. I was worried going back to 1080p was going to be hard, especially at 27" considering the dpi. All I can say is that this monitor is great and I am going to be using it full time and boxing the 4k up for now. Going from 60hz to 144hz is amazing and I think, way more advantageous than the increase in resolution. Now 1080p at 27" doesn't look super sharp with text but it's not bad at all and there is no screen door effect or visible pixels. Trust me I'm super picky about this stuff and I and pleased with this monitor. It's also super bright and it being ips, has great colors. I barely have any backlight bleed and zero dead pixels. I truly believe LG is the company to be beat in gaming monitors especially since they make their own panels. It's my second LG and I won't hesitate to buy from them in the future. The HDR isnt true hdr but it does add a great deal of depth and detail to most games. Mind you some games have poorly implemented HDR and look terrible, but the good ones look great. Don't hesitate to buy this if you want a good gaming monitor. I would Also say that this IPS display at 144hz is a way better display than the 240hz tn panels is every way and I've owned both types.

A great monitor if you're looking for one that is not super flimsy and hard to see, or one thats price is the same as a laptops. It has great customization, three ports, and the screen is great. This is a nice 27' inch monitor with only a few minor setbacks, like it having a large bottom stand, and no speakers within the monitor.

I was able to purchase this monitor on sale for $250. At that price, I believe this monitor is a steal for the features that are available on it. It is a 1080p IPS panel that can reach 144hz refresh rate. I'm using an Nvidia graphics card and it detected this monitor for G-Sync, so that is a plus! Overall a great monitor for 1080p gaming with a high refresh rate. Build quality is great. I would definitely recommend trying to wait for a sale. $250 is a wonderful price for this monitor.

This monitor is awesome! I bought it for my younger brother at $229.99. We paired this monitor with a amd ryzen 5 3600 cpu, XFX Thicc II 5500 xt gpu and it runs 140fps+ flawlessly. Overall it’s a great monitor, colors are great, size is great and when I bought it the price was great!

the design is flawless, the colors are vibrant and stand out on the xbox one X, its amazing. the menu navigation isn't rough like some monitors and with this one its easy. the response time feels perfect, no ghosting no lag. being able to change your response time is another key feature of this monitor. you can take it off or set it to faster. it comes with multiple presets for video preferences. i recommend this monitor 100% if you take gaming serious, i also love the monitor stand design, it looks futuristic and alien like, a great monitor for a great price

Although this is a gaming monitor, I purchased this monitor for school work since all of my classes have shifted to online. I’m very pleased with the quality, and I think the 27” screen is perfect for multitasking. I’ve liked the picture quality so much that I tried using the monitor with my Xbox. The refresh rate was a noticeable improvement from any of my TVs, and I haven’t switched back since. Overall very happy with all aspects of this monitor.

My review is bittersweet only because my graphics card could not support the increased screen space. (I previously had a 23.5" screen.) What I did see for the time I had it (3 days) was very fluid, lifelike colors, rich black levels and fast paced screen to keep up with AAA gaming. I found the controls under the monitor to be unique, once short learning curve was found out. Set up is as easy as 1 2 3 due to smart, stylish design.

I was looking for a decent 27" 144 hz IPS monitor, and ended up going with the LG UltraGear 27". The stand is very stable and has a lot of weight, but does take up a bit of space. I wouldn't say it's overly large, but it is slightly bigger than some other monitors. That said; I had no issue fitting the monitor with a keyboard in front of it on my desk. The height is adjustable and is held in place by the weight of the monitor (almost like a spring). The range of heights is pretty good, if you are taller the screen sits more in front of your face at the max height, which is very convenient. The monitor is gsync capable and comes with a displayport cable (neither of those were listed in the product description when i purchased it, so I was pleasantly surprised). It also comes with a handy hook to put a headset on located on the stand behind the screen. The display is great, the gsync set up super easily with my nvidia card, the monitor is easy to put together and syper stable. It also swivels to be portrait style or landscape, which is a nice feature but I haven't needed yet. I've had the monitor for over a month now with no complaints and am very satisfied. If you're looking for a 144 hz 27" monitor that doesn't break the bank this is a great option.

For a lower price than other higher end monitors this one definitely is worth the price! Ive been using it to play games on the computer and it runs Amazingly. It’s very easy to setup, I’d say about 5 minutes, and doesn’t require any more setup after plugging in.

I bought this for my home office monitor - I am an engineer so usually use Word, Excel, CAD, and other engineering programs. It is a good size for me to be able to split the screen between two programs so it is like having two screens. I felt any bigger of a screen would be like working off a tv screen. One of the main purposes for buying this monitor was the adjustable height stand. I hate the majority of monitors available are not adjustable height -- they are too short for ergonomic purposes and I find it super annoying/ugly to prop computer paper reams underneath -- so finding this adjustable height monitor at a reasonable price was great. In hindsight, I would probably have gone with a higher resolution screen as sometimes the font and images on the screen are not as crisp as I would like but I have gotten used to it. Color quality is good once I increased the brightness. No additional cables are provided in the box other than the power cord. Overall, good value for the money.

it is a great 1080p 144hz monitor. the set-up was easy and worked immediately. I noticed the difference immediately between awping double doors in cs go from my 75 hz monitor to this one. It immediately was recognized as a g-sync monitor. Just overall a great monitor.

If you look at the reviews for this monitor, you will see alot of 5 star reviews for like gaming and all of those media sorts of things. I use this for cartography related tasks, and its one of the best screens. The set up was super quick, the DisplayPort keeps everything running super fast in terms of refresh rate, and the color accuracy is top notch. I did a bit of calibration to make the screen the right brightness for me, but it was really simple. I would recommend this for people who dont want to break the bank for a good screen with plenty of features
