Customers value the UltraGear monitor's exceptional picture quality, smooth high refresh rate, and vibrant colors. Many appreciate the curved screen and OLED display, finding the size to be ideal for their needs. While some users noted the pixel density could be improved and the lack of built-in speakers, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

One of the best Matte OLEDs in 39inch & 800R

I’ve had this Monitor for about 2 months now and I could not be any happier with it. This monitor has the most amazing color accuracy whether it’s for editing pictures and videos or running AAA title games.
If you’re still researching for a 34+ Inch OLED then you probably have came across the ROG STRIX 39PG models. Keep in mind those are Glossy OLED panels. This LG is a Matte OLED. Though the colors on the Glossy OLED look slightly more vibrant and alive, any background light or even sunlight can kinda ruin the experience. Glossy OLED would be phenomenal in a completely dark room with no background light compared to Matte but for everyone else that have Case lights, aesthetics lights, or even sunlight this Matte OLED is a better choice in my opinion.
I purchased this $1300 monitor for $840 in the store as BestBuy’s price matching policy allowed me to price match it with Amazon which was wonderful. Although it took 4 employees to verify and allow it, I still got it. One said it was the large price match he had ever seen. So shout out to BestBuy for this.
I had also read some reviews on the LG website itself about the Display Port 1.4 not being to run G-Sync up to 240Hz. LG customer service also acknowledged it in the comments. Fortunately though it seems they were both wrong. DP 1.4 can in fact support G-Sync up to 240HZ.
One complaint: The crosshair selector menu is in an annoying 4 clicks away spot. It would be cool if you could keybind it to the default volume keybind. Especially since most people don’t use their monitor for audio

LG Review
LG Ultragear OLED Monitor Review
I recently upgraded to the LG Ultragear OLED monitor, and the difference is remarkable.
It delivers an incredibly vivid and clear picture. The vibrant colors and high contrast make every image pop, making it feel like you’re right in the middle of the action.
One of the standout features is the 240Hz refresh rate, which is a significant upgrade and almost feels like overkill.
The motion clarity and smoothness are superb, making fast-paced gaming an absolute pleasure. Just make sure to turn motion blur off, please.
While I absolutely love the monitor, I do have minor gripes with its design features.
The auxiliary audio port is positioned in an awkward spot that it can be inconvenient to run a cable from the display to an external speaker without the cable being very visible.
Additionally, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of a KVM switch or USB-C display port option, which would have added tremendous value for users looking to streamline their setups.
Overall, despite the few design flaws, the LG Ultragear OLED monitor is a fantastic investment for any serious gamer or someone looking to enhance their visual experience.
The quality it delivers makes it worthwhile, and I am delighted with my purchase.
I purchased mine, via open box at about $600.

This monitor is fantastic! I primarily use it for gaming and media consumption, and it has exceeded my expectations. However, if you're planning to use it for work, you might find the 39-inch, 2K resolution a bit challenging for text clarity. Despite this, I can confidently say it's the best monitor I've ever owned.
The OLED technology is incredible. it's so bright that I had to dim it down. The black levels are impressive, and while the curve is somewhat aggressive, you quickly adapt to it. Now, I can’t imagine using anything else!
Gaming performance is top-notch, especially with the 240Hz refresh rate, making it great for competitive play. The ultrawide aspect ratio enhances immersion, so good when gaming
Some of you might find the pixel density slightly low, but I’m not too picky about that; it looks good to me. I've been using it for nearly a year without any burn-in issues, as long as you utilize the cleaning feature and avoid leaving static images on for too long.
I don't think I will ever go back to IPS or VA, backlight bleeding was killing me.
Overall, I highly recommend this monitor for both gaming and media enjoyment!

Top notch stuff. Coming from a 42" LG OLED TV with 120hz, I didn't realize what I was missing with the extra frames. I am using this as my main display (lower horizontal in the photo)
I had some concern about such a large display and seeing pixels at 1440p, but it isn't noticeable at all unless you're within a foot of the display. Even still, no big issue.
The steep 800R curve was something I was hesitant about but it works incredibly well with gaming and productivity. The immersion when gaming is unreal.
The colors are astonishingly true out of the box as well. I made some minor adjustments to math what I like personally but this thing is ready to blaze out of the box.

WOLED Beauty!

This is a great monitor and is the size I was looking for. I had an Alienware OLED and it was beautiful but gave me terrible eyestrain and headaches. This WOLED gives me no issues. It doesn't "pop" quite as much as the QD-OLED but it also feels more natural to my eyes.
The PPI change only took about an hour to get used to. Being able to run most games at 100+ FPS was more important to me than 4k. The matte is only noticible in certain situations like looking at a grey sky but has been nice for days where I want to open the window during work.
Overall I'm very please. I love the curve, it's extremely immersive. The blacks are better than the QD-OLED, the colors don't pop as much but it's still beautiful. I don't regret this purchase at all. The only downside is the CPC and LEA which dim the image but these can be turned off.

This is a great monitor. I was previously using a 34 ultra wide and was a bit hesitant on going larger. The 39inch screen definitely makes a big difference I like the size of the monitor and the 240hz is great for competitive games. The monitor being heavily curved makes it feel so immersive. It actually fits better in my space since the curve is more pronounced than the 34inch monitors. While I wish this was a 4k panel I think it does due justice to all games with HDR and the quality of picture with it being an OLED panel.

Great image quality and fast response/refresh panel. LG never fails to make quality monitors, the 800R curve takes a couple of hours to get used but after that, makes you wonder how you ever played without a curved monitor. Where thing really shines is in graphically maxed out single player games, insane colors and image quality during my play through of both FF7:Remake and Ghostwire: Tokyo. Insane deal if you manage to buy it sub $1000, bought the BB Geek Squad for added peace of mind on the OLED display.

I have had the 39” LG OLED monitor for almost a month now and it has exceeded all my expectations. Love the curve and the colors are amazing. My only cons would be the UI was a little difficult to get used to. The glare might be a deal breaker for some but for me it’s not an issue for me personally.

Purchased this monitor as an “end game” display to completely my gaming setup and ultimately returned this and landed on the 32” Alienware 4K QD-OLED.
For the price (I bought mine on “sale” for $999) this monitor just doesn’t stack up to other available options with newer and better technology. Especially if you’re considering purchasing at the currently listed price of $1499.
I did like the aspect and the extreme curve, it have a very immersive experience when gaming. For me, 1440p resolution was just too low for a monitor of this size with. Text clarity suffers at such a low pixel density. The display out of the box had terrible vertical banding, but cleared up after running a pixel cleaning. Not sure what that was about.
The display also suffers terribly from G-Sync VRR flicker which is a somewhat common issue on OLED, but I get none with the Alienware.
LG does not offer any kind of guarantee against burn-in either, which could be a bigger problem with this WOLED set than a QD-OLED set. Something to think about.
I just don’t believe this monitor is a good value proposition currently, especially considering some of the annoyances it comes with.

Darker darks, lighter lights and division between them. It’s a bit pricey but more has been asked for less. The curve actually helped me save desk space but preserved viewing area if that makes sense.

UltraGear 39" OLED Curved WQHD 240Hz 0.03ms FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor with HDR400 - Black
Purchased in July.
Use of time : 150~ hrs. 50% game, 30% web search 20% tv show and youtube
Previous monitor: BenQ FHD gaming monitor for 4 years
This is OLED monitor, so I don’t think I need to explain how clear and colorful it is. I gaurantee that you will be satisfied 100% and love it.
Just one caution. Please, please, please check your GPU first!! It is neither 100% 4k nor UHD. It is somewhere between them. I researched a lot about it and found that you may need at least 4070 TI or higher GPU needed in order to utilize your monitor’s full function. You can absolutely adjust resolution for your convenience but why do you need almost $1000 monitor then?? Mine was 2070 super and quiet old gpu so I ordered 4070 TI. I think it is good time to upgrade your gpu as well while it’s on sale on bb website.

I went back and forth trying to decide on this or a qd-oled and for my situation in a room with large windows I felt this would be the better option. I am not disappointed, infact this display is amazing and a welcome upgrade to my aging 100hz IPS panel. Would buy again
