I have had the case for a little over a month now. It has been in the ocean and in the bay with no water damage to the phone what so ever. I also have dropped the phone on concrete and again no damage. The only down side is the screen has already got 2 small scratches and they did not happen when dropped. I would definitely buy another at this point though. I attached a photo taken with the phone submerged in the water.

This is the second case I bought for my daughter. She loves to take pictures and video at the pool. There is a good variety of colors to match anyone's taste. Even when she had dropped the phone while not in the case, the screen cracked terribly but we were able to put it back in the case and use the phone until we were able to get a new phone. The case protected even a badly damaged phone!

Stylish case with maximum protection possible. Worth every penny spent on the case. If within a year, the case breaks or fails life proof has a warranty. Truly, none of this fine print mess. No other case protects like this.

Waterproof, drop protection, and a cool camo look. My son drops his phone on a regular basis so this has helped a lot. Also, drops include his time fishing so the protection there when dropped into the lake or pond is appreciated. He loves the camo look! Pricey, and headphone jack requires special cord extension and sound from speaker is a bit muffled

This case offers great protection, a little pricey but well worth it. The speaker quality is improved from the 4s case but still not great, sound is muffled and not very loud. I would recommend it to anybody that is hard on phones or does anything where phone is exposed to all elements. Doesn't add much bulk, lightweight and slides easily inside my pocket or purse. In my opinion, for the price, a belt clip should come included not an extra $29.99.

I'm very rough on a phone so I needed the strongest case possible. The waterproof is nice but not always necessary. I don't trust the waterproof claim because the warranty requires water tests on a frequent basis (which is inconvenient to perform). I don't like the set up for using the RCA jack. The extension for the RCA jack is required and inconvenient for using headphones and the aux cable in the car. Thus far, it seems strong and sturdy and appears to be a good fit for protecting my phone. I think that $79.99 is a ridiculously high price for a good cell phone case. I've heard that some folks have had a hard time hearing when talking on the phone, but I've had no issues and have held consistent clear conversations. The design muffles the speakers to provide the waterproof protection and seems to limit the volume a bit more than without the case installed.

This is a great case. I'm not clumsy with phones or anything really but I have a had a few times where my phone went flying out onto the concrete and my phone was fully protected. No water damage but I haven't dropped it in the lake either but its been wet with a hose a time or two. Fits well in your pocket. Easy to put together. Re-scanning your finger is not a big deal and you won't ever need to take your phone out unless you just want to. Great case. No problems. Protects to the fullest.

I bought this case almost a year ago and I wish I would have spent my $80 on something else. I loved this case at first and was very excited of it's capabilities it says on the advertisements. I did the water test and it was successful and I had dropped it in the snow even. All was well with my phone, until 4 months of having the case. I was pretty careful with my case and make sure to re-test the waterproof feature every now and then. After 4 months the water test failed and water was accessing the inside of the case through the headphone port. I sent a letter to Lifeproof since it was on a 1 year manufacture warranty. I filed my claim through them as the website asks. They replies I received where automated or so they seemed. It stated that they would send me a new case but the case I had has been discontinued and I would need to pick a new color. So I replied to the email and picked a new color. Maybe a week later a brand new case in the mail arrived. I thought this was wonderful. Then again a couple months later the new case ended up cracking on the plastic clear material that covers the flash for the camera. Cracked enough to void the waterproof feature. I once again emailed Lifeproof and again automated emails informed me to pick a new color again and a new one was shipped. I've done this 3 times, 2 for the plastic on the flash and 1 time for the headphone port. All in less then a year. It's been a pain and the only thing I have enjoyed about this case is that Lifeproof will replace it until my 1 year warranty expires. For $80 I should have gotten more then a few months on each of my case(s). I also should mention that the sound on my phone was muffled and I almost always had to take my case off for Facetime. I wish this case lived up to it's advertised features because I would be happy to pay that much for it if it had. I'm resorting to something else after this warranty expires.

I had an otterbox prior, but it was a little took heavy. Good protection overall, but I wanted something a little sleeker. The Lifeproof case fits this. It is nice to also know it is protected from water. Have dropped it a few times, everything was protected well. I like the new camo design, looks good, is lightweight, protects well, and is easier to access screen options. Overall a good case, little pricey, but worth it

I have only had this case for a couple of weeks. Phone works great in the case and this case is smaller than the Otterbox Defender I was using, plus it is water and dust proof. Easy access to charging port and buttons. I like the fact that there appears to be no sound distortion for the microphone or speaker. However, there are a couple of issues. First, the toggle switch for silent mode on the side of the phone is a small annoyance as I cannot just look at the switch and see its current state. I usually have to flip the switch a couple of times. Lastly, the headphone jack adapter. In order to use the headphones you have to use an adapter, which is provided. I know this is is to maintain the waterproof capability of the phone, but it is annoying. Either you leave it screwed in at all times and you have it looking weird and feeling weird in your pocket or you leave it out and screw it in when you need it. The problems with that are if you forget it or lose it. Then you are unable to use the headphones.

Does the job. Phone has been in water many times and survived. Light and thin relative to other options. Headphone jack makes everyday use of headphones a bit of a pain.

This case was easy to install and easy to use the phone with it installed. It's light and small so the slimline phone didn't get bulky. Fits easy in my pocket. It has survived being dropped by me, my husband and grandkids - once from the top of the car hood when I left it there. It even survived being dropped in a full bathtub by a 3 year old. ZERO problems and great protection for my iPhone.

I find these covers great! If you are ok with not worrying about style but exceptional protection for your phone this is it! I have convinced my whole family to protect their iPhones with Lifeproof. My dad is a postman and he throws his phone around everywhere and this cover has never faltered. I love that you can take pics near or in water. Helps when you are also a swimmer or even a cook that gets flour on the phone and all you need to do is wash it! Great product! And the color is fun. Maybe pricey but it pays for itself.

Pros: waterproof Cons: muffled sound, need adaptor to access audio jack(pain). Finger print scanner stopped working after a week. 2 weeks, dust showing up inside??? Will need to take apart and clean. Friend had same case and wore out the screen covering.

Pro-Slim fit, good protection Con-A bit pricey, limited choice of colors

Some reviews call this phone case on its lack of audio jack conmectabity and poor sound quality. First the Audi jack; there is an included jack extender for all head phone jacks. Second the sound quality; there is a slight deminished sound quality, but in exchange you do have an almost water proof phone. You learn to deal with it because it's not that bad.

For the level of protection (waterproof and impact resistant) the Lifeproof case is very slim, especially when compared to its competitors. It's easy to use and comes in a variety of colors. We have three of them within our small family, and all have met our expectations. The only quirk is that you have to use a headphone adapter for most headphones while the case is on. It does come with the phone, and it does make the connection waterproof as well, but it's an inconvenience at times, and requires that you remove the case to plug in the cable if you forget the adapter.

It's a good case even tho it is expensive. It does keep water out for the most part, I can see a little that gets in my the headphone jack. It kinda sucks that you have to have a special cord to plug stuff into the headphone jack. Some dust pebbles have definitely gotten in. I think all the door and stuff to protect the power and headphone jacks makes it hard for people to hear you when you talk on the phone. Opening these seems to help, otherwise they say my voice is muffled. Overall a decent product and worth the small nuances to protect the very expensive phone inside
