I busted my iPhone7+ the other day and instead of waiting for the iPhone12... I gave in and got the iPhone 11 Pro Max ... I read all the negative reviews about this said case and knew I would run into the same problems with bubbles/rainbow effects... and while I don’t have the bubbles... I seem to have the rainbow effect when I push down on the screen which seems to be the two screens making contact... simple solution: with my two middle fingers pressed against the back of the case, I use my two thumbs to pull both front sides of the case outwards... peeling the screens away from each other... almost like cracking an egg. While it gets annoying having to do it constantly... I think of it like a windshield wiper... I needed a 100% covered case to protect this expensive investment I just made in the work environments I’m in... and I've always used LifeProof and they’ve never failed me on protecting my phones... had my 7+ not been crushed in my door... it would still be in perfect shape because of the lifeproof case That was protecting it.

I purchased this case because I thought it offered overall great protection for my 512GB iPhone 11 Pro Max. Since the phone was so expensive, I figured I needed the best protection. Lifeproof was definitely not it. I just purchased phone and case a little over 3 weeks ago. I accidently dropped my iphone with Lifeproof case on in our bedroom onto a wood floor and the phone screen just shattered all over the place. I couldn't believe it. I thought this case could handle this small drop onto a not so hard surface. I would not recommend this phone case to anyone. This was definitely not "Lifeproof"!!!!

I have had a LifeProof case on my phone since the iPhone 4s. They've proven to be as advertised and never had an issue....until the iPhone 11 Pro Max Fre case. This case will not completely snap on the top of the phone and as the title goes I cannot get rid of the bubbling. When I put my phone in no bubbles occur but when I attach the back of the case and touch my screen the bubbles are everywhere and I can't seem to get rid of them no matter what I do. Very disappointed in this case.

The 11 Max Pro case is awful. It just won't seal properly along the top. It pulls away leaving the case not waterproof. It also is frustrating as it looks terrible and after spending about $100 buck for protection without a complete seal its useless in coming in contact with water/spills etc. Again, I have always been a regular user of LifeProof Cases and never had problems but the FRE for the 11 Pro Max is just terrible.

I’ve had a life proof with at least five other iPhones, all have performed well. This one has a flaw. Looks like moisture between iPhone face and front cover. Returned original one I purchased .. the new one does the same thing!!

This is not a cheap replica bought on eBay. It is my second Lifeproof case, and both were bought from BestBuy for my 11 max pro. First case I purchased had one issue: within 3-4 months from purchasing, the incorporated case screen, covering the phone camera lenses got scratched and whatever coating they have on also wears off ( see that purplish haze in my pics). As a result the clarity of any picture/video is impacted. I am a regular cell phone user, I don’t work in harsh environments nor subject my phone to any extreme mechanical stress. I never cleaned the built in case screen protector with any alcohol or cleaning chemicals, to cause the factory coating to wipe off. I decided to purchase a second case, and somewhat thinking that I might’ve done something incorrectly,and trying to prove myself wrong. I bought a second identical Lifeproof case also from BestBuy. The second time around,same issue: built in lens protector screen gets scratched, the coating gets wiped off also, resulting in that purplish haze creating a permanent foggy picture/vid quality. On my second case, on the front side, part of the rubber case came undone, above the charging port. (See pics). For those saying : better have a scratched case screen than your IPhone lenses- duh! Sure, 2 cases later ($160+ taxes),and not being able to use my phone to take vids/pics due to this case design shortcoming is also counterproductive. As far as some positives: yes, all the other “proofings” worked as advertised: water, drop, dust, snow. I know they say third time’s a charm...but I will not be purchasing another Lifeproof case.

Oh my god I can’t say enough about this product. I think it single handedly saved my phone from my antics. I was able to be as careless with my phone for nearly 4 years and switching our was my biggest mistake. I’m the type to watch/ listen to podcasts in the shower, drop my phone everywhere and my god was my case falling apart after 4 years of use. I switched to a cheaper case after and I didn’t know how much the case was helping save the phone from myself. The phone started acting up and died permanently soon after switching cases. I was way overdue for a phone upgrade but my god did this case work.

My LifeProof case is easy to put on your phone and I do appreciate the upgrades from prior models. For example, it used to be a bit difficult to turn the volume on/off of my iPhone with the prior case (iPhone 6s Plus). Now, the case (For iPhone 11 Max Pro) boasts a dial with a notch in it that makes turning the phone’s volume on/off much easier! However, as always, creating a cover for the charger port in this model and the prior models seems to be an issue. Today, (I’ve only had the case for little over a week) the cover for the port works great and if you have a fingernail or something pointy, it’s easy to open. As time passes I will be able to better gauge if the cover will last. It usually breaks from repetitive opening and closing. Overall, I would recommend this case because it is durable will a sleek design. I’ve found other cases to be too bulky. This case fits comfortably in my pocket and side pocket on my purse.

I know a lot of people have issues with the “oil film” due to the screen cover. In my case, there is a small rainbow color, but nothing that is distracting or diminishes the screen clarity. Overall, great protection. It does concern me a little on how it doesn’t seem to seal 100% when the phone is in the case. However, with that being said, I think it’s a great case that doesn’t feel too bulky or heavy.

This is agregar case. It’s slim and provides water, drop and dust protection. However, the builtin screen creates horrible air bubbles. No Lifeproof, installing in a “dry” environment doesn’t solve a product defect. Yet, another reviewer suggest a solution. Installing an anti glare screen protector solves the bubble issue. I purchase a iCarez [HD Anti Glare] Matte Screen Protector on Amazon for $7.95. However that such an expensive case doesn’t come with this solution. With this extra screen protector the problem is solve. Hence why I give it only 3 stars, had Lifeproof provided its own solution I would gladly give it 5 STARS!!!

I've had this case for about a week now (purchased directly from LifeProof), and have purchased LifeProof cases for the past several years. This case is the absolute WORST one LifeProof has released EVER. The screen looks like it has water/bubbles when it is on the device. I am not using any third party screen protectors, so that isn't a variable. The knob to toggle the ringer is very difficult to use, however I have managed to get it to work a bit better, after toggling it on and off many times -- however I am sure that this is going to the the very first thing to break on the case. The case does not properly fit the device (iPhone 11 Pro Max). There is a sizable gap/opening along the top side of the case. I believe this is caused by the larger camera module used in this device. If I remove the phone and close the case with no phone inside, it seems to close properly, or at least better than it does with the phone in it -- but I sort of got the case to use with my phone IN it, so the gap/opening it has with the phone in it, makes it no longer a waterproof case. For the price LifeProof charges for these cases, they should not have bubbles on the screen, and certainly they should close/seal properly. LifeProof customer support has been useless as well

The life proof series of cases has always been great to have - they are reliable and protect the phone from so much. The inconvenience doesn’t come from the poor quality screen protector but from the seal on the top of the case. It didn’t completely seal to keep dust and debris out from the top of the case.

In the past I have bought two Lifeproof cases for my Iphone 6. I loved these protectors. The Lifeproof case I purchased for my iPhone Pro Max has “Newtonian rings” or "rainbow effects" under the FRĒ case. I did carefully and thoroughly clean my case and the screen of my phone with a microfiber cloth. Also, installed my case in the driest place, inside my residence where there was no humidity. At first the ring was about the size of a tic tac breath mint. With time and usage more rings appeared. With everyday use, air or moisture seems to get into this case. When I show people photos or videos on my phone, they always tell me what is wrong with the display, why does it look like there is liquid, in between the phone screen and screen protector? I tell people that this is one of this case’s defects but it really protects my phone.

Case provides good protection but muffles sound. Better than some of my older waterproof cases including previous Lifeproof cases for older phones. The newer design is better.

I really love this product because it is waterproof & light weight. It protects against falls extremely well too. I only have an issue with turning the silent mode on & off.

This case ya great protection against the elements, but it makes my speakers/ the earpiece sound like they are blown. Also like others have stated the front screen protector has a shiny looking spot on it like there is water under it, I have tried many times to not make this happen, maybe there’s something I’m doing wrong. I’ll be contacting the company to find out if this is normal.

First off I’d like to say that this case feels cheap, even at a price tag of $80. I also have already received my replacement because of the bubbling on the screen this case is known for(the black ones specifically.) I can vouch for the water-resistance and durability but for $80 it could be a lot better. Your iPhone is already water resistant so unless you’re around large bodies of water constantly, then I don’t see a need in this case, and if that’s the case then you also might want to make sure it floats. If you’re not OCD then this case will probably suit you, but as with screen protectors, I can’t stand bubbles on my screen and this case constantly has them. The only reason I tried this case was because I don’t like bulky cases, I tend to drop my phone more with them ironically, but as soon as I opened it and felt the material I knew it was a rip off. Personally I won’t ever be ordering another one. I found the Rebel Line of cases are a MUCH better value, and I love it. It’s not water proof, but it’s durable, not bulky and keeps your phone feeling like a phone, it’s also half the price of this and comes with a screen protector included, and for an added bonus, a Youtuber I follow (everythingapplepro) designed them.

I purchased a FRE apple 11 Fire Sky end October 2020. There were bubbles on the glass side of the phone - I couldn’t read the screen properly, and photos appeared grainy. Being a procrastinator and using several other devices at the same time, I didn’t look into the issue until January 2021 . It spores on Reddit I was far from alone - many others went venting their frustration! Some DIY solutions were suggested, and since I didn’t want the hassle of sending back the phone internationally I tried the method of ordering another screen protector from Amazon to place under the Fre. This came in February and did solve the problem. But the blurry pictures remained. Puzzled, I removed the cover to have a good look. Can you see the marks on the INSiDE of the case that would be over the phone lens?!? I have written in to Customer Service twice with no response.

I have had one before and like most things they get better with time. The newer cases are easier to install and still have the qualities you like. Good case. The only flaw is the meeting of the plastic shield and the face. There are bubbles/lines. But at least its protected.

This case is awesome! It comes with a variety of colors from which to choose. It keeps out dust, dirt, and water. It’s thin, sleek, and easy to hold. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
