I'm an old Piedmont Blues player returning to his Rockabilly roots. I've picked up a couple of electrics (guitar, bass, keyboard) in the past year and have been laying down some tracks. The only effect I was familiar with was my old Wah pedal, and need something more, but I didn't know what. This is it!
I got it three days ago at a local Best Buy and haven't put it down! I was heading to the local Guitar Big Box when I thought about my BB GIft Card and thought to check online. They had one in stock at an almost local store.
When I got there, the store price was $10 less, and I got another $10 off at checkout for using a gift card, AND they let me try it in the store, so before I left, I was already favorably disposed.
When I got it home, it did not disappoint. I plugged in my electric and ran it through my Bass amp (Acoustic) and suddenly started wailing! I tried out every guitar I had (acoustics and bass included) and then ran it through my mini-mixer and PA. Still great. Then I ran the mixer through the Pod Express and out to the PA. That completely blew me away.
The handfull of effects are perfect for me, since I don't want to mess with a bunch of settings to start working out. I've already begun to pick my favorites; I doubt I'll ever use flange, but it sounds neat; and on an acoustic guitar, Rock delivers a better blues crunch, but the Crunch setting is fine for an electric.
The settings can be a little hard to dial in; it doesn't have a lot of nuance. And the delay is particularly challenging. On the other hand, it has helped me select which effects will be useful in my kind of music.
Whether I play through speakers or headphones (my family's preference), the sound is clear and crisp. And if I move on to bigger effect boxes, it still makes a great pre-amp for my acoustics.
Check your Best Buy store. The LIST price in my local BB beat ANY Internet price.
I would recommend this to a friend

Bought this past Christmas and is in my gig bag since. Great for quiet rehearsal w/ a headphone while waiting for your turn to perform. Sound is B+ on my solid state and tube amp. Tuner works with my guitar but not my bass guitar. Learning curve is over in a few hours. Effects are very useful. It weighs like nothing and can be plugged directly to the main PA. Very versatile. At home, I've been using it with a floor based looper then amplified with a lightweight roland amp. Lot's of fun without the backbreaking weight. A good friend of mine gave me a gift card plus it was on sale. All I paid was 28 bucks. Alive and grateful!
