I bought two of these. One in my basement and one in the upstairs floors. It extends my network to pretty well and I am able to access the internet in each area. My basement has my PlayStation and it runs on wifi steadily. When I have had problems, I would reset the router and everything was back in order

The young Genteman that works there told me the Device it was kind of expensive but he told me this the best one that would work and it worked so far I haven't had no problems with that

First of all I need to tell you that I received this product free from Linksys in order to provide my honest feedback. ########################## What's inside the box? ########################## Below you find some pictures of the actual unboxing of the product but it's really simple: WiFi Extender, Quick Reference Guide & Manual. Since the item provide an Ethernet Port (RJ45 jack), it would be nice to include an Ethernet Cable (nice extra) but I can live without it. ########################## The meat-and-potatoes: ########################## I was impressed at first sight due to Its sleek and small size. It requires one AC outlet but in the front give you another, so you don't loose anything. Configuring it was a tiny bit intimidating at first but after reading the Quick Guide everything was clear (please follow Quick Guide using your phone, laptop or PC). With my phone, I did open a web browser (any will do fine) and type in the address provided in the Quick Reference Guide. After that you just follow regular process of connecting to a Wireless Network. You will see all available WiFi networks around you. The WiFi Extender you are configuring will have their own name, so after you select your current WiFi, you have to set a name for the Extender and your current WiFi password... After this you are done and ready to enjoy your preferred drink in your backyard or terrace watching a nice movie! ########################## Testing and Notes: ########################## Before, I didn't have any signal at all in my house backyard, but after installing this Linksys WiFi Range Extender I can now enjoy watching anything in a TV connected in the same network or listening music through Spotify. Keep in my that when you are connected to your network with a low signal range, your speed is lower as well due to the strength of the signal, so after installing this thing I fix the dead spots and got better performance around my entire house! I haven't try yet the Stereo Jack on the side of the RJ45 Jack, so as soon as possible I will comeback with an update. Linksys great job! Amazed at the performance of the RE6700. This is my first go at a Range Extender and had heard from friends that they did not have much luck in the past with the extenders. My RE6700 is installed in my detached garage and is 88’ (tape measured) from the router at the far end of my home. The signal must pass through two exterior walls as well as an interior, not to mention the gaggle of boxes and such in the garage. Before when using my phone and Bluetooth speaker to listen to music in the garage I had the best luck opening the garage doors and setting my phone on boxes close to the open door. Even that was flaky at best. Installed the RE6700, which was quite simple and straight forward and was up and running in minutes. Results: Even though the setup software suggested I move the RE6700 closer to the router, which was not happening unless I wire in a new electrical outlet, the RE6700 was cranking out both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz at a solid Five Bars. Doors closed, in all sorts of weather I am getting a steady solid 5Ghz and loving my music in the shop. I was truly amazed that picking up a one to two bar status from the router it would pump it up to Five Bars. I am part of a review group for Linksys and provided the equipment for an honest review of the product. I can honestly tell you I love this small gadget; I am no longer listening to the local junk radio stations but streaming good music. An excellent solution in the real world. Do like the electric socket pass-through as the RE6700 covers my outlet.

After being disappointed in the performance of a cheaper product I took the "get what you pay for" approach although it is still pretty inexpensive. Idiot proof set up...worked straight out of the box. I now get a perfect wifi signal all over the house, upstairs and down and even get a good signal in a guest house 250+ feet away from the router

My house has several apparent dead spots including one in my wife's reading/work area. I had been considering try out a range extender to cover or access these areas. When LinSys offered me a free unit in exchange for an honest review, I grabbed it. They sent me the LinSys AC1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender. Following the instructions, I did the setup and, surprise-surprise!!, it set up first time with no problems what so ever. I then went looking for a spot to try it out and cover as many dead areas as possible. My phone and laptop connected right a way. And the dead spots were all covered. I took the phone and laptop around and checked each out. Didn't lose connection. Good so far. Had the wife try connecting and using her equipment for awhile. No problems - connection or compatibility wise. She worked in the area for several days with no problems and was happy. I want to thank LinSys for allowing me to test the unit and rid the house of the dead spots. The unit has had no problems and I'm sure if I do, their warranty people will take care of me with the same speed and care they have with other of their products I have contacted them about.

Unpacked the box. Plugged it in. Had a better signal upstairs across the house from the main router. It was pretty much that easy, beyond some basic setup of the extended network's name and such. Within 10 minutes, I had a much stronger signal where we need it.

I needed this because I wasn't getting any service upstairs. It's seems to be working, but it occasionally doesn't connect or I get bumped off and have to reconnect. But when I am connected , it seems to hold a strong signal.

This is a no brainer addition to a home network. I was having trouble reaching the nether regions of my house with a Linksys wireless router. I plugged this device in near a hallway about half way between the router and the trouble area. Within a minute or so everything was set up and working beautifully. It has been trouble free. I have even used the Ethernet port to connect a Hue Hub in order to centralize and that device works better than ever.

Is just great for dead spots around my house. Love the idea of the speaker output. Very firm and solid.

I followed the product instructions and was up and running in in 10 minutes. This was the easiest and simplest installation ever. It improved by my wi-fi signal by 50% in fringe areas. I was reluctant to purchase because I thought the system speed was degrade too much but I can not tell if the speed of the extended network is that much different than the primary network. The product does exactly what its supposed to.

Overall I am very satisfied. I placed the unit just inside our door and am now connecting just outside on our patio. The 2.4GHz signal strength is outstanding however the 5.0GHz signal falls just a little short but still performs very well. If you're dealing with dead zone issues you cannot go wrong with the RE6700. You will be saying goodbye to that nasty issue in quick order.

I purchased this Linksys WiFi Extender after reading various reviews of different similar products. It was easily installed/set up with my home router and provides good coverage now in areas that were previously weak or unable to connect. Even my 15 year old Grandson commented Christmas eve how great my WiFi signal was! If a teenager was happy, it must be strong!

It works really well and was very is to setup. It operates on to range frequencies so that you get a signal, no matter where you are in the house.

I bought this product because I live & work part-time in South America and the construction there is mostly in concrete including concrete walls, causing signal loss from my normal modem! My regular modem only gives a signal strong enough for the front half of the apartment but with Linksys-AC1200 the signal not only covers the entire 3bdrm apartment thru all the concrete walls but it' increased enough that I get signal in my apartment courtyard two stories below. Easy to set-up too!

I needed a wifi extender for my consoles on the other side of the house, and this was a great buy. It was easy to set up with included instructions and haven't had any major issues since. It even has an included LAN port for a wired connection from the bottom so you don't have to worry about the other device's antenna. The one thing that makes me give it four stars is that it runs a little hot and occasionally speeds dip, but a simple unplug/replug fixes the issue in a minute.

Bought this wifi extender to improve wifi throughout the house. Certainly has done the job. I now have great wifi connectivity in the basement and second floor, was very poor prior to installing extender. Easy to install, looks nice, having the outlet is great, can be installed anywhere.

I bought this to help extend my wifi signal from the front of the house to the back rooms. Setup wasn't that bad, but, even though I'm semi- experienced in these types of setups, there was a big void in available information on how to get the best signal and whether to log into the main router or the extender. Plus, the way it's advertised that you can find the best location was never achieved, either due to lack of user friendliness or exaggerating its abilities. Perhaps the product is too young and doesn't have a solid enough FAQ or support base. Bottom line: not for the semi-experienced. You're going to need friends (or a lot of time) to figure this one out.

Easy setup but tends to drop every few days. Have had to reinstall a couple of times but fairly easy to do.

The salesman almost talked me into skipping this model and getting a fancier and more expensive one. He thought it wouldn't get the job done. He was wrong. My router is in the basement, and I have been having speed issues with my internet connections on the 3rd floor. This RE6000 has completely solved the problem for me. Signal strength is now as good on the 3rd floor as anywhere else in the house. I am glad I bought it.
