AX5300 Does bring the speed. I think that the ranges on most routers are over stated. You need to go 20 more than the size of your house to make sure the entire house is covered. I can tell the difference in speed and coverage. I upgraded from an AC2200 system. My plan was to add the ac2200 Nodes to the system but there has been no need to.

I needed a router that would give me coverage in our split-level house. I've had very good luck with Linksys products in the past and decided on the Atlas Pro. Setup was easy with the app on my phone and I had this up and running in less than an hour out of the box. It's been running flawlessly for three weeks and I'm very satisfied with it. Best things: easy setup and coverage. Worst thing: no USB port.

Easy to hook up and coverage in the house is much better than old style router. WIFI 6 is good versus older standards.

Absolutely fantastic. My speeds were already very good but this allowed me to connect a node with my gaming systems. Now the whole house shares the speeds I was getting near to my base unit. I also managed to get this at a ridiculous price compared to the regular price. I don't know if it was a glitch in Best Buy's pricing but I am incredibly happy with this product and the price. Even at regular price, i feel that I would be happy with this product too. Plus it was Simple to set up.

It has average speeds for wifi 6. Its transfer over the network speed isnt good. Has decent coverage, but no way to designate devices to a certain satellite. Setup was fairly easy as well. If you catch it on sake, then it is a good buy.

Great coverage and even better speed, it gave me better speeds for my comcast connection through my DOCSIS 3.1 modem where I am getting wireless the speeds that I am paying for. I was used to getting the speeds with a hardwire connection and not through wireless until I got the Atlas Pro. I have not had one problem with it at all and I love it.

I have been a Linksys fan since the beginning. They have always made the best networking and hubs that always work. I read all the reviews and still chose Linksys for my first mesh network. It did not disappoint, PERIOD. I have Starlink and it has been running flawless for 2 months without any issues. The Speed is awesome and the coverage is phenomenal.

Overall Easy Setup, Easy App, Easy Use. Its definitely a simple system and built to be out of the box ready. Unfortunately not a whole lot of customization options but they do have the general ones like device priortization, change DNS server, Mac Cloning etc. So if you want a mesh system for a much larger home or if you have the main node in a cabinet and need it to reach the nodes this is a good buy.

Just the upgrade I needed. Was time to replace my older Netgear router due to poor coverage, slow speeds and occasional buffering of streaming services. Easy and quick setup with the free app. Signal strength is excellent throughout my home. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend.

Very easy to set up using the app and just as easy to add the satellites the same way. This system has been rock solid since day 1. It's been through a power cut or 2 without a hiccup. I previously had the Netgear AX11000 and had issues with it within a month of purchase, it took over a year to get my money back from Netgear!

I’ve had great experience with Linksys routers in the past and this system seemed like a no brainer for my home network. After about 6 months of use I can say it has been nothing but problems. The mesh system has throttled my speeds down exponentially to less than 100mbps most times and each node will lose connection to the base frequently even with clear line of sight. I have tried resets and updates with no success. Will be looking for a replacement soon

      Hi,

There are a lot of factors that we need to check to find out the culprit of the challenge. If you haven’t yet, try a different node placement and relocate the routers away from the common sources of wireless interferences. You can do that in the meantime then, before you consider a replacement, allow us to have our escalation engineers take a look into your network setup instead. They might help to improve your experience with a little tweak here and there. Just email us at [email protected] along with the relevant details, your contact information, and a link to this review as our reference.

The mesh system was easy to install. It was recommended to me by a Best Buy employee to help with my WiFi coverage in my home. I have a 1-story 3600 sq. foot home where I have a lot of issues with my WiFi/internet going in and out of service. I was told this product would cover up to 8000 sq. feet. I'm still having issues with my internet going in and out. I'm not sure if it's a Mesh system issue or an AT&T issue. Still figuring it out. Also, I had a friend tell me that the mesh system causes cancer. Not sure if that's true.

Linksys’s Atlas Pro 6 is a premium set of Wifi 6 devices from Linksys. Combining excellent radios, a fast CPU, plenty of ram, and a sleek design, the EX5503 kit packs a punch. Couple that all in a simple to use setup with app-first design, you end up with a competitor to other mesh networks, but with serious firepower to back it up. So what is the Atlas Pro 6 setup? This kit is basically 3 high end routers that have 4 gigabit ports. Each unit is identical, so they can be setup separately, but obviously the idea here is to use them in a mesh setup. They Physical design is basically a small tower. The idea is that these are elegant enough to blend into decor. They feature soft curves and a pretty unassuming design. Manufacturers I believe hope everyone has a bit of a modern decor - I’ve yet to see anyone attempt to make natural wood textures or rarely fabric. Regardless they can hide away on a shelf easily enough. In true mesh thinking, there are no external antennas. Power adapters take the form of normal barrel jacks with wall warts. Included in the box is one network cable. Setup using the Linksys app is easy. The app guides you through details of how to position the nodes. I did have some trouble with initial detection, as if the timer was just about 10 seconds too short and necessitated a rescan. Setting up the first node is the most extensive, and requires setting up your internet connection. Adding nodes after that is mostly a breeze, but still expect to put 30-40 minutes aside for initial setup. Performance is as expected for a $600 set of WiFi mesh routers: Excellent. I was easily able to max out my paltry 200Mbps internet connection anywhere inside my house. I have a 3100 sqft house with a large attached garage, so over 4000 sqft of coverage. I have an excellent 5GHz signal everywhere inside my house. In my yard/driveway I could tell there was a swap to 2.4GHz, but I was still able to maintain 30-60Mbps rates 100ft away from my house. These routers are loaded with fast dual core CPUs, 256MB of flash, 512MB of RAM, each. Range for the 5GHz is better than I expected, but the band steering does kick in when outside which limits bandwidth. I was surprised to see 40MHz channel width on the 2.4Ghz with no way to configure it. The 5GHz seemed to be locked to 80MHz, and I was unsure how to get 160MHz width, however the maximum reported speed was 3467Mbps. While setup is easy, and the app guides you through, this is not meant for expert level users. I’m coming from a UniFi setup that was aging and I was not really wanting to spend time in ‘management’ of it anymore. The Linksys app keeps things easy, quick and simple, but there are features hiding if you know what to look for. Most users will appreciate the application, but I’ll give some hints to you power users out there. You can use the internet port on a secondary node to do a wired backhaul (i.e. WiFi mesh not required). This DOES increase performance - I was able to maintain significantly higher (80MB/s transfer rates vs 40MB/s w/ a 2x2 AX client) rates using this backhaul. I can confirm through pings, with the node plugged in delivering sub 1ms pings and the WiFi mesh node delivering 3-8ms pings. Another tidbit - the app does not allow you to set up a separate SSID for the 5GHz network - and requires band steering. This mostly works fine for newer clients, but some users may have had a dedicated 5GHz network from years ago with their clients configured towards that. If this is you - never fear - the traditional web UI setup (http://192.168.1.1) exists, and with a few clicks you can log in there - go to wifi settings, and click ‘more’ to see the 2.4 and 5GHz SSIDs split out. I wish you could setup alternate SSIDs, because I spent a lot of time fixing all my clients to just point to one SSID and discovered this after poking and prodding at what this setup can do. Another helpful setting, if you aren’t too near an airport, is DFS. Using DFS, I was able to lock in 1.4Gbps on a 2x2 AX client. At this speed I was able to max out a wired gigabit connection to my NAS at 112MB/s. These routers are quite fast. Poking at the device a little more reveals nothing too extraordinary. There are uPNP services running, a couple HTTP servers that probably serve APIs for the apps, a performance testing app thrulay, DNS, and normal 80/443 administrative ports. The device reports a 4.x kernel. Other non-primary nodes will redirect their administrative ports back to the default gateway - so there is no ability to manage these outside the app, which would be interesting to see if there were any hidden settings. So besides some network nerding in this review, overall I feel quite strongly that Linksys has an excellent set of products here. Superior performance, and flexibility reign here - despite perhaps some lack of documentation. The nodes are fast, connect mesh very well, and offer flexibility if you have network ports to spare. Highly recommended for the 3 pack if you have a larger house!

Wanted to replace the older system to the new WiFi 6 due to many devices in the house are capable of this. Easy set up then over a few days would drop certain devices off the network. After over 5 hours of talking to Linksys customer support which by the way are fantastic come to realization that let’s just return this since we have wasted enough time troubleshooting. When we went back to Best Buy they believe we may have a bad node as well. Thinking I would just stick with same brand and maybe move up to the newer model our internet provider CFU it would be best to try the Eero Pro 6 and so far so good with a little faster speed. Again having great luck with the older system thinking newer is better I’m not down playing this product just didn’t work out for us.
