Initially tried Netgear Nighthawk based on reviews. It did not work well in my home. I returned Nighthawk and got the Linksys AC2200 tri-band. Setup was easy and the throughput is better than expected. I often get speeds greater than my cable company agreement. I have had it a month with no outages. It feeds Roku, phones and multiple computers. Guests have no problems using my network.

I have used Linksys routers for years and I think this was the easiest one to setup that I have used. Great coverage thru the entire house and even into the backyard.

Big improvement from my 8 yo Dlink router. No more buffering, even when 3 people in the house are streaming vids. Easy setup, GUI is user friendly too. Thanks BB

It is great router if you want a faster connection, specially im playing games online. I dont experience lagging anymore. It’s also easy to set up just by follow the instruction. It’s a tri-band router so you can connect on different band.

This was a great upgrade for us. We don't have great ISP speeds here, but it was a big improvement on the coverage side. It's easy to set up and use as well.

Router has excellent coverage via the four external antennas. Setup is easy and the option to allow the router to select the wifi band per device is cool.

Very easy set up. Super coverage. We don't have a ton of devices, so we are not heavily taxing the router but the coverage is absolutely fantastic.

Have found linksys to be a great system , easy to use , set up and reliable. I have a large house and it has excellent range. Only downside is difficult to update and reboot older systems > 5years old.

If you're like me, you're tired of paying for high-bandwidth internet but suffering through what you ultimately get after the signal makes it from your router to your device(s). I mean, what is the point of having a home full of "smart" devices and IoT connected "things" if they're all bogged down with terrible internet connections? Insert the Linksys - Max-Stream™ AC2200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router. Do you know what my favorite day of the week is? Payday. Do you know what every day in my home feels like now that I have this router calling the shots? You guessed it; payday. Enough gushing though, let's talk about the facts. The packaging: I never understand why anyone spends so much time with this detail. Sure, if something arrives at your doorstep looking like it was put in the box during an earthquake, that's worth noting. Short of that, why waste the words? This came neatly placed inside the box with all the installation/setup materials clearly laid out for you. 'Nuff said. The look: Modern, sleek, small footprint for such a powerful device. Looks good no matter what your decor. The setup: If it gets easier to set up a router into your network, then the only "easier" I can think of is a router that will literally unbox itself, plug itself in, configure itself to your needs (using telepathic communication, obviously) and pour you a drink when it's done. This was very straightforward - disconnect your modem, plug in your router, power up your modem (wait for connection), plug in your router. From there you can follow the on-screen prompts on your laptop/desktop that will take your to Linksys' website to complete the implementation. This is all very nicely laid out for you in the materials that arrive in the box. The app: Sweet Jesus, the fine folks over at Linksys managed to hire some developers who created an app that does what it's supposed to do; WORK. From the app you can control everything from the name of the network, your password, view who/what is connected (and even revoke permissions), prioritize network bandwidth to your most important devices, test your connection speed, and that's just the basics. Oh, and you can do all of that from anywhere you are, cellular network or wireless network. Doesn't matter. Sometimes I like to use the app to test my network speed, because there's something about seeing the ridiculous results that is just so satisfying. That feeling when you wake up in a panic on a Saturday morning, thinking you're late for work, and then realizing it's Saturday and you can go back to sleep? Yeah, it's like that feeling. Conclusion: For a reference point, I was averaging about 80mb/s download speeds through a LAN connection, and about 20 mb/s download via Wi-Fi. Since installing this device, I'm averaging 214 mb/s download via LAN, and 134 mb/s wireless. Anywhere in my house, garage, front yard, hey, probably even from your house. Who knows. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm not ruling it out as a benchmark option. Seriously, Linksys has made a device here that from a price perspective is accessible to most, is easy to set up even for those who are not so technology inclined, and most important of all, has proven to be a reliable, set-it-and-forget-it router. Worth noting - with my previous router, disconnects were a daily occurance. Sinch purchasing this router on July 14th, it has been as predictable as the sun rising in the East.
