This is great router with easy setup and management. It also has great options for restricting access and limiting usage.

I have enjoyed using this router, which is optimized for situations in which your home has many devices connected to WiFi and/or if you have a larger home. It uses the latest technology to produce 3 WiFi bands: a 2.4 GHz band and two 5 GHz bands. Many of my older devices would connect to the 2.4 GHz band, which was fine. That band provides up to 750 Mbps. My newer phones and computers connected to one of the 5 GHz bands, each of which provides up to 1625 Mbps. This router can handle as many devices as you can throw at it. I experimented with having multiple streaming devices going at the same time as online gaming and a video conference call, and the connections were great regardless of the bandwidth I was using with all those devices. One interesting feature is that I was able to use voice commands through my Echo to access some of the WiFi features of the router. I was also able to use the Linksys App on my Android phone to control most of the router features. One note, the 2 USB ports on the back are 3.0 which is nice. The range on this router was amazing. I don't have the largest house but I was able to roam very far away from it in my yard and still had impressive signal. I feel like this router would be a great purchase for the family with a lot of tech, especially with multiple devices using WiFi at high bandwidth at the same time. You will get optimal signal and excellent WiFi.

Easy setup and the speed is amazing! Love the fact that this is a tri band router. Good for streaming a lot of videos.

The Linksys - Max-Stream™ AC4000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router is one of the fastest wi-fi routers on the market today. Was paying for 400 mbps and only getting 10 to 12 mbps with the old router, After putting this router online, my download speed immediately increased, easily exceeding the 400 mbps point using the Ookla speed tests application. The upload speed was on point as well. Recommended and futureproof wi-fi router.

Positives: 1) great hardware including a quad core processor and plenty of RAM/flash 2) easy to use interface and app 3) decent signal range for 2.4ghz and 5g bands Negatives: 1) open guest network - no way to add WPA2 to it 2) signal range is not as good as the router i came from (asus 3100) 3) firmware is lacking in advertised features (VPN/firewall) 4) lack of open source capability Summary: the potential of a top 5 router if firmware is improved
