The Linksys Velop WiFi 6 2 node set up has fixed my previous WiFi issues. Mesh is the way to go. I previously was using the Linksys EA9500 and an extender. Although the WiFi signal covered my home, the speeds were pathetic. I pay for Gig cable internet. I have over 60 connected devices. Now with the new mesh system, I have full coverage AND and I can take advantage of my broadband speeds. Setup was easy even though the app is a little wonky.

I’ve been through 3 other mesh router types trying to find a solution for my home. I’ve tried Eero, Google (Nest) WiFi, Netgear Nighthawk and all of them had issues. I’ve been using the Linksys Velop for about a month now and the coverage and speed is the best I’ve seen hands down. The stability is also much better than the others (I’ve only had to reboot the system once).

I have had this router for almost 6 months, so I feel I can make a pretty good mid term review. I was in the market for a Mesh system with wireless backhaul due to where my Gaming console and TV are located. There just isn't a great way to run an ethernet cable there without taking my house apart. Because of Covid, I was gaming a lot more on console and was getting increasingly frustrated with momentary internet disconnects. I previously had a high end "High Speed Gaming" AC band router. Over Wifi the signal was strong, and speed was fine. But I would disconnect between 1 and 5 times a night, and sometimes during the worst times. This Router has fixed all of those issues I had. The stability of the wireless backhaul is amazing. I now run my PS4(PS5 now) and Roku wired to the secondary node and both have had 0 disconnect problems. My PS4 has not dropped connection and my Roku loads 4k content faster with less time upscale buffering to 4k. If you need more high speed internet stability, then I definetly recommend buying this. The Design is very nice, and my wife approved even though she generally hates having more things. Wifi 6 is great. There are too many benefits to list, but it is just more stable and faster on average and overall compared to AC. The App is decent. It is easy to use and stable. There are some features that you need to actually use your computer to change. But nothing that most people would need to do or do more than once. It is great to not have to use a computer and also remember which 192.168. address you need. I feel like it is hard to compare Routers because it as about more than just specs and numbers. Different routers can perform better or worse depending on the setups and environments they are in. What I can say is that this has been very low maintenance and stable in my experience. The only thing I can harp on is the price to a degree, even though I would buy this in a heart beat again. This also doesn't have the fastest secondary node speeds compared to its peers. But I don't think that matters too much. It is still faster than you need. If you need faster, you probably should do what you need to so you can run an ethernet cable.

I initially purchased to replace my Netgear Nighthawk, I purchased about 4 years ago. I was tired of having to reset my router at least once a month. The initial setup was great, extremely easy. I was looking for a device to handle my wireless devices, more coverage, and most of all speed. It’s great when it’s working. Testing directly from the wall jack no issues. Testing directly connected to the velop node drops or buffering. Devices connected to WiFi, drops and buffering. All my systems are a bit older but the results should be consistent. I put my old router back and returning the velop. Perhaps will check into when Belkin/ Linksys has resolved its issues. I have opened a case with support and was escalated to engineering as it’s a firmware issue. Noticed that the node was stable or consistent on the original firmware; however, when The firmware was updated the problems appeared. Too bad! Had high hopes! :)

I really wish Apple didn't get out of the out of the router game. My Airport router was just getting too long in the tooth and I needed a solution. I have 1 GIG internet and speeds would degrade to under 25 mbps on my 2nd floor and worse in my basement. My router is up on my upstairs office. So I picked up the Velop Wi-Fi 6 router. The set up was easy and I immediately saw a huge improvement in speeds. The cons are stability with the satellite router. Frequently all my devices will only connect to the main node and not the one closest to them. This causes me to have to powercycle the satellite router which doesn't work most the time. So I have to reboot the main router and then do the channel finder in the app settings to get the devices to connect to the satellite. Also frequently the satellite simply drops off line and it doesn't come back up easy. I have to unplug reboot sometimes several times to get it to come back. Coming from an Airport router that I never had to touch and the fact that this was expensive sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So I set this up initially trying to use my original network name /pw from my initial modem. After realizing this confused the Linksys Velop, I reset everything and tried again. 2nd time was flawless setup and results. I only have 2, which seem to cover the entire house (3 floors - 5K sq ft). Speeds have tripled from using my xfinity system and all appears pretty impressive so far. I'll update as time. progresses.

Bought this mesh system as a replacement for my older router. Setup was pretty good. I used the app which did have some hiccups but ended up working out. There’s been app updates so it may be easier now. The range is good. I get coverage in the whole house plus out in the yard. Having Ethernet ports on each of the units was important. Good for connecting a wired NAS. USB port on the back is good to. You can plug a memory stick in it for a mini NAS.

Install and set up very easy. Nodes seem to disconnect more than I am used to. WiFi 6 does seem to have better range. Need to move router to different location to get best use but that will need to wait. Two extenders helped with office and garage gym speeds. 3k ft house. 2 story. Covers front and backyard as well.

=Background= I had Google Wifi throughout my 6000+ sqft house (6 total) with 71 connected devices (4 kids and home automation). I have AT&T Fiber achieving almost a gig up and down. Kids continued to complain about gaming latency and my wife who works from home was getting disconnected switching between nodes. My issue was all hardwired devices that I needed to be on the same network as the Google Wifi were only achieving a little over 100 Mpbs up and down since it had to run through the Google main hub. All very aggravating when you have such a huge pipe to the internet. =Solution= Before I ended up in a straight jacket, I decided to try the MX10. Skeptical because of the price tag but was interested in the Wifi 6 certification and capabilities. I have a large house, so the mesh concept works best for us. I displaced the Google Wifi with the MX10 (very simple setup and robust app) and was immediately wow'ed at the speed from my Samsung Note 10+. All my hardwired devices are now achieving 900+ Mbps and all running through the MX10. Kids are praising me and my wife says she has experienced any drops since. Problem solved and I feel now that I'm getting my money's worth from AT&T. Latency is zero and everything on the internet pops up immediately. Very well done Linksys!

I replaced an Apple Airport router with this Linksys system since I was having dead spots in my home. It has gotten somewhat better at times in the dead spots, but overall I am having some connection issues in the evenings that I never had before. I am giving it some time before I give this a full review either way.

This Mesh Wi-fi system is awesome. I added a third unit and the reception is great throughout all three levels of my house and the swimming Pool Patio area at the back. I am also upgrading my ISP modem for a total life changing experience. I recommend the Velop AX5300. The App makes it very user friendly. The guest Network has a quick on and off feature through the App for added security.

Really good upgrade paired with MB8600 cable modem. Consistent throughput and works well with ring, hue, nest, Lenox icomfort, and smart tv’s. Two story house - 2300 sqft and haven’t had any dead spots. Like it has 4 ethernet ports and usb to connect nodes and network drives. Tried transferring from old linksys velop, but in the end was easier to setup as new.

The MX10 Velop has nearly doubled my wifi connection speeds. I have placed the main node in my office room and second node in my main living room. Now I am able to get consistent connection all throughout my 2300 sq ft home. I love that both nodes have multiple Ethernet ports, giving me the flexibility to connect my devices wirelessly or via Ethernet.
