I am using this router for my house. And man it is blazing fast. Setting up was easy through Linksys setup wizard, but make sure connect the router to your modem, restart the modem and wait for it to fully on. Then turn on the router and use a web browser to set it up. You should have a linksys account, so you can remotely control the router in Linksys mobile apps (Android/iOS). This is future proof router, it has all you need: AC next generation, triband 160, 512 MB RAM, 1.8 GHz CPU, and open source firmware that you can customize it in the way you want in case you are a techie person. This is a gigabit router, delivering up to 1Gbps bandwidth for future upgrade. I dont have a gigabit internet but that will be a common speed in future. Nothing to complain so far. I previously owned a Linksys router too, their support was great and easy to return a defective product. Linksys wrt routers are vastly support by community, you can find a lot third party firmwares for them as well as open wrt and ddwrt. The packaging is awesome too, very organized and clean look. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for your honest feedback.

This router is great. I was worried about setup but this was so easy. I attached the 4 antennas and plugged/connected the pieces. The instructions that came with it were specific and perfect. I was up and running in no time. With 2.4ghz and 5ghz this is awesome! My daughter's room is the dead-zone of the house. I tested the Wi-Fi in her room with both the 2.4 and the 5. As expected I had the best signal with the 2.4ghz - FULL bars. I have never had that in her room. Now I don't need the Wi-Fi extender I had previously at all! Highly recommend this product. Super easy set up, you can even create guest access.

I really like not only the performance but also the looks of this router. I was able to easily set this router up within minutes. With the provided instructions I was also able to set up my different net works. It's has an added bonus with the linksys app. Through the app you can monitor all aspects of your router, from seeing who is connected, to setting up a guest network and even setting parental controls. I have 100 mbps download and was able to reach 101.50 in a speedtest. This router provide me with service in every room of my 2000 sf home. I would definitely recommend this item.

    Breeze to setup

I've been buying routers and extenders made by Linksys for many years as I have found them to be most reliable and easy to install. My previous router was a WRT1900AC and I had also purchased an extender (RE6500) to go with it in order to get the internet to a building about 150' from the house. This router was good but the extender had an occasional problem keeping a steady connection while streaming DISH TV remotely. Today I replaced my old router and setup the new WRT3200ACM. The router was very simple to setup in 5 easy steps and only took me about 1/2 hour to get it all set up, external items updated to the new router and ready to use. You get an 877 page User Guide on the Documentation CD. Print out pages 10-12 for installation instructions and a place to note your passwords. This router sets up a 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz network connection. Depending on what you are doing, one may be faster to use than the other. If you do not see these immediately, don't worry... they will show up shortly! I also did the speed test located on linksyssmartwifi page. The first test gave me a slightly slower upload speed than my previous router but I ran it again and it has been better than my older router. I must also note that they asked me to test out the WRT3200ACM and to give my honest feedback in exchange for a free sample unit.

The Linksys WRT 3200ACM router offers two bands (5GHz and 2.4 GHz) of wi-fi and high speed data processing to handle all of your internet networking needs. It has four ethernet ports for wired connections in your network. It has four adjustable antennas for a strong wi-fi signal. It also has a mobile app to help manage (if so desired) your network, but really it does the work all by itself without using the app. I couldn't be happier with this router's performance throughout my 2000 sq. ft. home. I would recommend it for sure.

For the past 4 years I have had and Asus RT-AC66R a dual band AC 1750 router that is a great router in it's own right. To beat that this router was going to have to be stable, have a better wireless range and better speed and throughput. Let me be clear I am not the typical home computer user and a stress the router to the max! I have 2 servers and 3 desktops, 2 phones, wireless smart tv, rouku, firetv, 2 laptops and 1-2 android tablets running all the time sometimes more. This router has surpassed the Asus especially in the wireless area where I was having some streaming problems. The Triband design with multiple 5g channels really helps. This router has Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) which operates at 160 MHz channel width in the 5 GHz band to give 867 Mbps per stream, providing up to 2.6 Gbps. This makes the wireless up to 2 x faster than previous triband routers. I still use a Linksys Re7000 extender downstairs for my outside porch but this router seems to work much better with it. The smart wifi seems to adapt to the environment after a few hours and finds the best channels to use. I highly recommend downloading the Android or IOS app for the router to your phone or tablet, it allows remote administration, secure sharing access to your guests devices without giving them a password and on the fly changes to the device prioritization allowing you to select which services or devices you may want to have preferential bandwidth (you get 3). This comes in handy when you temporarily want your device or service to have bandwidth. Other devices allow you to add more but this approach makes more sense to me as it limits where the bandwidth is used. Another exciting feature is the router is open-source ready with OpenWrt or DD-WRT both are in active development. With the router being so new I would wait for a few releases prior to trying them though.

    Easy and Great network speeds

In brief, this router is easy to set up and significantly faster than a similarly priced router from Netgear that I purchased in the last year. I initially set this up as a router which involved a few easy steps (Connect to setup network, give it a name, and a password). The only difficulty, which may have been the fault of my tablet, was that connecting to the setup network took 3 tries, but ultimately it connected. For testing purposes, I reconfigured the router as an access point which i won't detail the steps of here. While my home internet speed is far from ideal for running an internet speed test, i do have a "WD MyCloud" drive on my local network, and it is equal distant from two different access points on the network, one is the Netgear, and the other is the Linksys WRT3200ACM. Transfering a large file (6+GB) on the Netgear I was averaging about 25MB/second at the high end. On the Linksys, the speed on the transfer averaged around 30MB/second at the high end (About 5MB/second faster). Both these speeds measured 4-6 feet away from each access point. When measured in a different rooms one floor below the router (through floors/walls) the Linksys was still getting as much as 25-26MB/second on that same transfer. The Netgear was again around 5MB/second slower than the Linksys on the same test. This may not be a fully scientific test, and may be flawed, but based on my initial experience with this Linksys WRT3200ACM router, I am very impressed with the performance. I also really like the idea that this router is based on open source technology, as this allows a lot of potential customization and use beyond what is documented. However, by the time i get around to playing with that, i would have long since forgotten to write a review.

While the price tag on this router may intimidate some, I can say from my week or so of use that it has been well worth the investment. I live in a three level house (upper floor, main level, basement) of around 1800 square feet and this router has exceeded my initial expectations. We have gotten speed tests of over 100mbs with our Comcast internet service on every floor with wireless AC enabled devices. Setup was very easy and took little time. I will note that I did have to do the setup twice as the Linksys Smart-Wifi feature would not properly log in on the first go, but this feature is certainly not mandatory. Overall I would gladly recommend this router to anyone who wants to get the most range and speed possible out of their internet connection. While users with more basic internet needs would probably not need to spend this much on a router, in my household of a dozen or so connected devices this was the right choice. Plus, how cool is the retro look?!

So this is my second Linksys router with 2ghz and 5ghz portals. I have to admit there's still something missing as I have Gigabit internet and speed tests reflect random numbers most times great but sometimes slow. It is a super compact router and I love having it mounted on my wall where it sits behind our flat screen TV in the living area so we can hide it discretely. My favorite part of the Linksys family routers like before is the Linksys Application that you can run on your phone. I can control who is using my internet, control how kids who visit can surf the web and overall I don't have to share my personal password for WiFi since it comes built in with a guest network whereas unlike others I have seen. All that is missing from this sharp little internet shark is my external storage device and I'll be beaming from ear to ear. It is super compact and I was able to set this up in under 3 minutes from plugging into the wall to personalizing my network names and passwords. I wouldn't say I am a wizard at tailoring internet packages for myself so this is ideal for begginers and for those of you who want to customize your network which I still do not understand but I will learn! So get your family this for those of you with a bunch of cellphones, game consoles, smart home devices, and devices that just need internet because this system can handle it!

    Fastest router yet!!!!

This router is hands down the fastest I have used before!! The signal is strong, even in congested areas like condominiums, where multiple wireless routers are broadcasting their signals. Setup was very easy, after I worked through an initial issue. I tried the setup in its manual mode, which it didn't like very much. The Internet light was amber instead of white, so I reset the router and followed the Guided Setup. It was very quick and easy, and after I was able to make the customizations I wanted after. Speed is amazing!!!!! With multiple people surfing the web, Instagram, and YouTube, I was still able to get over 300Mbps over wireless with no problem!!! I highly recommend this router, as its another quality device from Linksys.

I currently use an ASUS RT-AC68U router at my home. It has Shibby Tomato loaded on it. Please note that I live in an apartment with around 10-15 WiFi networks detectable from my laptop. After setting up the router, I tried to compare the download speeds from a local device connected through Ethernet cable to the routers to a Laptop connected using WiFi (both 2.4 & 5GHz). The download speed that I got was around 35 Mbps. With 3200ACM the download speed was around 39 Mbps. Not much difference. The setup for the router was relatively easy. The router provides app to control your router remotely. However, I am not sold on the concept yet considering the security hole you would open to allow access through the app. While setting up, you get an option to setup a Linksys account/password again to remotely configure your router. However, there is an option to skip that. At the time of reviewing, I wasn't able to find any open-source working firmware for the router even when it says that it supports open-source firmware on the outside packaging. The built quality looks pretty good. Apart from 4 antennas, a hefty adapter, it also comes with a flat Ethernet cable. Overall, I didn't find much benefits over my current setup. Hence, I would only recommend it to people who have actual need for this product.

Linksys once again made a powerful router in a great all around package. The design is inline with the rest of Linksys is high end rough with sharp edges and the classic blue it's known for. Design here still makes a bold yet "early 00s" vibe to it. If you ask me it's time for a change but it's a router so I won't judge too harshly. Its easy to set up and include most of the basics. Quick start guide is clear and everything is simple to understand. The unit has 4 Gigabit LAN ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 eSATA / USB 2.0 port, and 1 Gigabit WAN port. All of which are pretty standard by today. I used and connected all the ports and they all worked fine without the headache of a massive setup. There are a ton of LED indicators on the front of the unit which can be distracting though it's a good thing to know which lights does which unlike some of these modern routers. The performance on the router is phenomenal. Everything you looking for in a modern consumer router is here. Great dual-band WiFi, MU-MIMO support, Tri-Stream, Open-WRT, Range...Its all packed into the WRT AC3200 router. Every device I used maintained the level of speed it was designed to handle. Streamed 4K Netflix content without a problem on my TV, Maintained the level of speed with my Nvidia Shield Tablet streaming PC games, iPhone and iPad stayed strong with Apple Music, Galaxy S6 edge Plus and PS4 was being used simultaneously with other devices all at once. Nothing can slow this router down when you want need it and that's always a plus. The range is fantastic I can literary go outside the house connected. It covered my whole house easily and the backyard. Linksys Smart Wi-Fi app is really good. You can keep track of everything going on with your router with the app. You can see what's connected and charge passwords among other things. Useful and modern app design is nice and something recently Linksys have been doing. Guess networking working without a flaw. Outside of that I really down have any issues with the router itself. If you are looking for a great router the WRT AC3200 will meet all your expectations and more. It's just simple to use and easy to use. I would recommend to friends that's looking for good router at a fantastic price.

Having a good router gets more important everyday. So many things are connected to the internet these days that one needs a good router to keep everything going without lag, all at the same time. This router will do the trick. The performance of your devices is based on internet speed and router throughput. I'd say that the Linksys WRT 3200ACM Mu-MIMO gigabit wifi router is one of the best routers out there right now as far as giving great throughput. About the only downside I found to this router is that it only has four ethernet ports on the back, but that's a pretty common number for routers. Set up was easy and it has a user friendly mobile app and online wi-fi management to keep all of your devices running efficiently. You can also prioritize certain devices if you want and limit internet access on a device level to a certain amount of time per day if desired. Overall this is a top notch router for dealing with today's internet.

    Linksys "DOES" make a difference

I received my WRT3200ACM MU-MIMO GIGABIT ROUTER a little more than a week ago. The first thing I want to say is just WOW. Set-up is so simplified using the Linksys Smart Wifi web setup or the LINKSYS Smart WiFi Android App. Initial set-up took only a couple minutes and from there the rest was easy. The router itself looks beautiful with its sleek design. The face indicator lights make it easy to see which devices are connected and seeing traffic along with signal strength indication. The back of the router has 4 ports for a wired connection if needed, a USB 3.0 port, and a eSATA/USB 2.0 port. Once I completed set-up, I port forwarded my gaming system. I then ran the built in gaming system speed tests and I couldn't believe my eyes. My speed test results were showing a 10-15 Mbps increase over my previous router. Not believing the results I then connected my laptop and ran speed tests using speedtest.net. Again, I was just amazed as I was seeing the same increases on another device. I ran more speed test using my Android device and the proof was in the pudding. I've attached screen shots of my before and after results. I took a walk away from the house and the signal range is unbelievable. I was getting a WiFi signal well over 300 feet from the router base. Amazing results on all tests I’ve performed. By far the Linksys WRT3200ACM router is the best I've ever owned. I will highly recommend this product to my friends. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback.

    Slowed Down My Devices

The Linksys WRT AC3200 is very easy to setup. A few terms and conditions agreements, software update, and it was up and running in no time. This is definitely the router for anybody who is not very tech savvy, as it is pretty much plug-and-play. One big upside with the WRT AC3200 is the fact that it is very compact compared to to other similar routers. I found this to be the best quality of this router, as I was limited in space to put it. As for the looks of the router, the surrounding antennas make it look like it's just going to fly into the air and go. Honestly, the black and blue Linksys signature color looks very nice. The router comes equipped with four ethernet ports, one USB 3.0 port, and a eSATA/USB 2.0 port. The router is Mu-MIMO compatible, ensuring faster connectivity speeds to your devices. Something that I really like is Linksys network map. It allowed the user full control of all connected devices, and even allows you to name each device. You can click on the device that you want and setup parental controls and give you device details. Another thing that I really like about this is that it allows you to prioritize devices to ensure that they get the best performance if you like to stream a lot. This is very important for me, being that we have smart TV's around the house. The price for the device is just right, considering all of the features that this router comes equipped with. One thing that I did notice, and is the reason for my three stars, is the fact that some of my devices were slowed down drastically. I notices that the videos I was trying to watch would pause and have to buffer. This is something that rarely happen with my previous router. I know it is not my internet connection because I compared internet speeds with my old router, and the speeds were more reliable on the older router. If you are looking to save space, and want try-band technology, this is the router for you. It is very compact compared to other similar routers. It is extremely easy to setup. The only upset I saw was that some of my devices were slowed down. If you want something that is more reliable and faster, I would go with the Linksys AC5400, especially if you are a gamer or stream lots of movies.

Super fast and easy to install is what I think of when looking at this Linksys - WRT AC3200 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router. This unit has a 1.8 Ghz dual core central processing unit cpu, with simultaneous dual bands, and one USB 3.0 Port, and one ESATA port. It also harnesses beamforming technology which reduces interference while connected to it. This unit was easy to install with it's linksys smart wifi app, and has all of the programming features you would imagine. It is open source ready making it easily customizable. It handles high bandwidth transactions like downloading and streaming media.

What do I like about the WRT 3200 ACS? Easy answer, Everything. Have had both the original WRT 1900AC and the upgraded model WRT 1900ACs, both are solid performers. What is great about the Updated WRT 3200ACS, faster processor, MU-MIMO Technology, the ability to operate on OpenWRT, and blazing fast Wi-Fi. Read the specs, it is loaded for its price range. Have been reconfiguring my network system more intensely the last few years due to the huge ramping up of Wi-Fi usage, it has been an uphill battle. You should be aware that the Wi-Fi Bandwidth usage is just not within your home, but is all Wi-Fi systems that are in range of your network. Just like the freeway at rush hour there is only so much space on the Wi-Fi band for the data traffic. For one, I do not like going slow on the network or Internet. My network is highly used with over 20 devices that are directly connected either through wire or Wi-Fi (page one of my Network picture is attached) with a network backbone of three Routers, two switches and a repeater (for the garage.) The WRT 3200ACS has been setup in wired Bridge Mode to expand the wired as well as the Wi-Fi on my network. This provides me with four more wired connections on the far side of my home and Killer High Speed Wi-Fi throughout. What do I like, it is giving me rock steady maximum 2.4 and 5 Ghz throughput on my Wi-Fi. Attaching two pictures, one before and one after of my laptop connection speed. Before my 5 Ghz connection would be choked down to 520-585 Mbps now it remains steady at 867 Mbps, where my Wi-Fi adapter tops out. Since the addition of the WRT 3200ACS to the network I have “Finally” become a Happy Camper.

    Decent Router from Linksys

I was impressed with a previous router from Linksys, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I currently use a Linksys EA9500 for our house as I wanted something that could really push 4K streaming. The WRT is a decent router and even has some nifty features that set it apart from the EA9500. It's still better than most routers out there today, but I'm still a little partial to the EA9500. One of the main selling points is the ability to use open-source Linux software with this router. I wished I had a need to play with this feature. This alone sets the WRT apart from a router for someone who wants to set-it-and-forget-it. If you don't want the ability to use the open-source option, there might be a better option out there for you. I also found that going from the 8-gigibit ports on the EA9500 to only 4 on the WRT was limiting. I was honestly spoiled by being able to connect all my gammon consoles, Apple TV and Smart TV to the network with a dedicated line. The eSATA port on the back of the WRT model is nice if you want to connect a hard drive via a SATA port - but I myself prefer USB 3.0 as it's more prevalent in portable hard drives for connectivity. PROS: * Open-Source option for deeper customization * Tri-Band option helps manage 5GHz traffic * eSATA ports allow for more connectivity above USB 3.0 CONS: * Only 4 ethernet ports on the back may require a hub for more devices * AC speed slower than EA9500 * CPU/RAM is less than EA9500 Bottom line: This router is a great router for people who really like customizing their home networking setup. It also boasts some additional ports that could open up more connectivity options. While not as robust as the EA9500, this is a solid router and is more than enough for the casual user who only wants to stream content in an average size location.

Linksys WRT series routers are generally purchased by those seeking 3d party firmware and/or in depth control of their router's capabilities. The ac3200 certainly fits the bill, but, this router is equally appropriate for anyone wanting a dependable, well built router offering great speed and range without needing a lot of user-involvement. With the Smart WiFi interface, this is a very easy to set up router. I have 10 or so devices running on mine (smartphones, smart tv, wireless printer, notebooks, tablets etc.) and all devices connected effortlessly whether directly wired, 5ghz or 2.4ghz wireless. I have a 200Mbps cable internet service, and the ac3200 easily delivers this to multiple devices over a very good range. Hi-def video and movies are stutter-free.
