I have range across the whole house which is approximately half an acre and I can stream on over babe devices at one time with no problems. The router also has the capability to set up two networks and a guest account for each.

This will most likely be the last router I will need to buy for many years to come. Very easy hookup, as the whole process is simple to do. I have a 2,500 foot home on two levels and I receive a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout my home all the time without any dropouts. I also have a total of 16 items on this router which include 7 Logitech Security Cameras, 4 Tablets, 4 big Screen T.V.'s and 1 cell phone. This Linksys router has wonderful reviews and now I know why. If you need to upgrade your home router as I did, just take a look at this one and read all the great reviews, then make your purchase and you will also see the big difference in your home Wi-Fi as I did.

I have had wifi connection issues in my house for almost a year. I've had 2 routers, both have been cysco/linksys, and they were both BAD. Constant buffering, always losing connection, slow speed. It was really annoying. I have always used Linksys routers because I'm used to setting them up already, and never had issues prior to these last 2 routers. I decided to shop around and spend more than $60 on a more high end router. I came across this router, and thought it might be over kill but I didn't care. It was a great price and had 10 times more power than my old E1000 and E1700. I never thought I would need this AC3200 since it's only me and my wife. I am finally getting the speeds I pay for. My download speed before with the E1700 was 14 mbps. Now I'm getting 89 mbps! That's on the 5ghz channel. The 5ghz on the E1700 was unusable. I never got to use it. I recommend you get this AC3200 right now! It came directly from linksys, has 90 day warranty, in a box with manuals and cables. At $90, this is a steal!

I've used a number of high end routers including a Linksys EA9500, a Linksys Velop system and a Netgear x8. This router is easily as good as in some ways better than those three. I have 350/25 speeds and this router gives me every bit of that everywhere in my house with zero dead spots. Never had to reboot it once, works flawlessly at less than half the price of other routers with amazing speed and range. Retro look and style with the latest Wifi advances. Bought this on sale for $199 and it easily competes with routers that cost over twice as much. Highly recommended router that works well, has open ddwrt support and won't break the bank.

Covers more of my 3100sqft home with 5GHz wi-fi better than the WRT1900AC I had previously, but still not ubiquitous. The 2.4GHz, of course, is as good as I've ever seen with this thing. I have it sitting on the floor under a desk near a corner on the top of a 2-story home and don't have connectivity issues between 2.4 and 5GHz bands. I just wish the 5GHz was stronger still so I could get that peak speed no matter where I am in my home.

On April 1, 2017 I cut the cable cord and switched over to DirecTV Now. With all the money that I was saving, I figured I should invest in the best WiFi Router I could find. This is the one that the Best Buy salespeople recommended. It was very easy to set up and get running with secured connections. I have not had to restart this router even once since I first turned it on. The televisions run on their own separate channel and it is totally glitch-less with great, glass like HD quality.(I am using Fire TV, not the Fire Stick). I live with my wife and two college age children and we all have our phones, laptops, tablets, etc.. running all the time on the other channel - never a problem. The router is located on the first floor. I get a strong signal everywhere in the house - 2nd Floor - basement and the entire yard. The other day I was walking the dog and noticed that my cell phone was getting a STRONG WiFi signal while I was down the block from my house - about 4 houses away - figure with 75 foot frontage that's at least 300 feet away from the router - so you better choose a secure password. I am using a cable internet connection with the free Arris Touchstone Cable Modem provider by the cable carrier.

Recent purchase to replace our aging router. Due to being tired of poor signal strength and dropped coverage we purchased this router for our 2000 sq. ft. home. The set-up was easy, taking only a few minutes for internet. The Dual band allows our older pieces to still be able to connect @ the lower frequency (ie. security cameras not compatible with 5G). The price was reasonable. We now have fewer issues with dropped signal / low strength. Using in a multi-story home with thicker/denser walls.

I had this router working out of the box within 15 minutes. Set up was simple, and could be completed on the phone app. Being able to set up the separate bands was nice, so they do not become too cluttered. You can also easily track devices connected, and prioritize data transfer if needed. The range was better than expected. I like in a tri-level house, and I have strong signal on both bands throughout the house. The router is currently on the bottom level, with my office PC in the top level. I still have a 120mb d/l speed on the 5Ghz band.

As a non-expert, but not-quite-novice, I had no issues setting up the router and had it up and running pretty quickly. This router puts out a signal at 2.4 and 5.0 GHz for two networks and additionally offers two guest networks. I enjoy the ability to establish guest networks, so I don't have to share the password to my primary networks to others. It is also simple and fast to access the router and I like the ability to identify all devices connected to the network as that satisfies my awareness and privacy concerns. It is also very simple to cut-off the internet from devices at set times, which assist greatly in getting the kids off the internet and into bed or preparing for bed. Finally, I have had no connectivity issues within my home to include all spaces in a two floor house and below in the basement as well. With three game-playing kids and two adults accessing, as well as two live televisions streaming Netflix, we've had no problems one month after installation. I highly recommend this router.

I thought when I paid $200 for a new router that I wouldn't keep experiencing losing the internet connection or having slow speeds. It is faster than the combo modem/router I has before, but I still seems to lose the connection at least once a day and I still do tend to experience periods where I am barely getting a signal. Overall, I expected more for the price.

This router is easy to set up can put VPN on it.has a ton of power for large home coverage.I had 6 year old Belkin which work well. But wanted to put a VPN on router.customer service with Linksys is not that great had to call 3 times before I found someone I could understand.out sourced to India. Once I got someone I could understand things went great. This was to set up a VPN not just regular set up which is easy.Love the range and speed this router has.

On Par Performance, Special Features Weak

Overall this wireless router performs on par with others that I have used. I'm currently using it behind a UVerse RG. This can present a couple challenges, but those are easily overcome with moderate technical skills. I've compared the throughput with the ISP provided wireless and an Apple Time Machine (AirPort Extreme). It's throughput is neck-and-neck with both the ISP router and the APE. Even though it's using 802.11ac, hardwired ethernet is still faster. So I would rate the performance as a strong average. Where this unit is weak is in the setup, support and extended features. On first boot and connection, it attempts to have to complete a simple, generic setup. While this may be fine for 80% of consumers, having to put it behind a router without a true bridge mode will not work. You have to jump through a few hoops to get to the manual setup. Once configured, I wanted to check out their implementation of the USB port for shared network storage. This is where it really falls apart. On the USB port they support only NTFS and allegedly HFS+. My drive was formatted with ExFAT so initially it did not work. After reformatting, I was finally able to mount the drive. But then the disappointment set in. I had connected a 60GB drive but only 103.5MB were available. The drive was freshly formatted with no other data so I never could determine what had happened. Also, the page that displays the connected USB device would sometimes update and sometimes not. If you create a new user or share, then it doesn't accept the username and password that you have assigned. Only uses the preset information. What makes it worse is the documentation! The user guide included on the CD in the box is very generic. It provides little information other than initial generic setup. Attempting to obtain more information on the support website was an exercise in futility. Search abilities on the website are rudimentary and very little additional information was available. For instance, I was only able to find out what USB drive formats were supported from a review on another website. Often when I was able to find what I was looking for, it did not match what was actually displayed on the web interface of the router. In summary, if you're looking for just a simple router, to use in a very generic situation, with good wireless rates then this is an acceptable solution. If you have enhanced needs or wish to connect a USB peripheral to share on the network, then you should look to using equipment from another manufacturer.

No issues with this device. My previous Linksys router provided about a decade of stable service for me but advancements in networking technology required an upgrade. My only complaint is the huge transformer/wall wart. If it needs to be that big they should have put it in line like the laptop power supplies. I can't plug this router into my UPS without using an extension cord or a wall wart remover.

Yes this is an expensive router. Yes I understand there aren't many products out YET that can use the full functionality of this router but going from a $50.00 Linksys to this monster is like comparing a Prius to a Viper. Simply put there is NO comparison. We cut cable a year ago and continue to add more and more devices into the household that we stream from and the old router was struggling to keep up whereas this one has no problem whatsoever. Easy to set up, can control from an app on my phone, can limit the amount of signal each device can get, can set parental controls so no more arguing about the time expected for devices to be put away for the night as I can now simply shut down signal to that device completely, great range, can set up Guest mode so family and friends who want access to wireless when visiting can use it but without getting my main password, can connect my external hard drive, etc, etc, etc... I could go on and on about this bad boy. I did alot of research prior to purchasing and chose this as it was cheaper than the others in its class when purchased and have always had Linksys routers and have been pleased with each one. VERY happy with this purchase!
