The Lively 2 mobile came very fast with quality packaging and instructions. Definitely read the instructions before using because you are supposed to activate your account first before charging the unit.
It does boast fall detection --- I tested it and it does indeed work. Just be careful not to drop it by accident; although if you do it gives you the opportunity to press the button to cancel the call.A few Pros I notice:
- Its waterproof and can go with you into the shower, in case you have a fall in the shower or swimming
-When I tested the fall detection, I was speaking with a live agent within 20 seconds
-It comes with a charging dock, a belt clip, and a lanyard, which you prefer
-It connects to the Lively app so your loved ones can get alerted if you have a fall or anything
The Cons
-The plan pricing is $25/month for basic, $35/month for premium -- plus it seems there is an added $10/fee for the fall protection ; This can get pricy after a while if you have a fixed income or on a tight budget
-There is no volume control on the device - this would be helpful
-The customer service is not exactly knowledgable about the product
It is a great idea and useful tool, but for me it is just too pricy, the customer service center is still developing --- overall, I think it has a few kinks to work out before I would recommend it to others.

The mobile Lively came in a small box with everything that's needed to activate and use it.
In the box, you have the mobile Lively 2, the charger that has a USB-C input, a belt clip, instructions, and the necklace band.
Creating an account is easy to do when online. There, I can see the emergency contact information, the monthly usage, and manage the account profile.
On the account, you could also list medications, doctors, vehicle details, and more information to make it easier if a call is made.
There is also a form called a personal emergency profile form. This will give information about the person wearing the Lively. Also included are the emergency contacts, which are two of them, and there's plenty of information in case there is a call for an emergency.
Setup is easy. You have step-by-step information on the website, and it didn't take long to finish it.
On the Lively, there is a speaker on top and a microphone on the bottom, and they are both of good quality. You can hear clearly, as if you're using a speakerphone call.
To wear the Lively, you have three different ways. You can put it in a purse or a bag. The second would be to put it on the belt clip that is included, and the third one is to wear it around the neck, which I found perhaps the easiest to carry around all day long. The battery life lasts for about two days. But the instructions do say that when you're not using it, to drop it in the charging station so the user can have it on all day and at night. When at sleep, just put it away in the charging station if it's nearby. And if an emergency comes about, it can just reached to press the button.
I also like that it has a power button on the back to turn it on and off. But you don't have to; it's best to have it on all the time.
On the back, there are two lights. One of them is for the battery life. Green means it's fully charged. Also, it turns amber when it has a low battery and red when it needs to be charged. On the opposite side, there is another light. This is the cell phone signal indicator, which is green when it has a full signal, like having all bars on a cell phone. It can give you an amber light if it has a less than perfect signal and red if you need to move somewhere else to get a better signal. I tested it out in different places of the house, and it worked even in the basement.
As for customer service, it was good. I called Mobile Lively and they have an automated system. If you don't want to wait in line, they can call you back. I was able to get a call back within 3 minutes and I talked to Cindy because I wanted to know if there are other languages, other than English, that they answer when they receive an emergency call. Their primary languages are both English and Spanish.
Overall, I feel better having Mobile Lively 2 because if anything happens to my mother, either a fall or even if it's a medical question that she needs an answer to, she has the ability to do so without her cell phone because sometimes she will leave her cell phone somewhere else and I can't get a hold of her. So this will give the family and friends peace of mind to feel better when we're not around. She can wear it all day long, including while taking a shower, because it is waterproof.
There is a monthly fee, and I wish it was a little bit lower like many other subscriptions that I have. Perhaps the more people sign up, the price can come down. There is also an annual option to save instead of paying monthly

Great Response & Volume

The Lively Mobile 2 All-In One Medical Art comes with a lanyard cord to use around your neck. The device charges rather quickly. There is a battery indicator light, and service indicator light. In addition to a power button. The device also comes with a charging dock and a clip accessory. When using the clip accessory, the fall detection feature will be disabled. I carried the Lively around my neck for approximately a week. When exercising, bending, and moving about, the device did not go off. It really can tell the type of moments that are made. However, when I accidentally dropped the Lively from around my neck it did trigger an accidental call to the Urgent Response Center. The Lively device let me know that they would be connecting me to an agent and that if I wanted to stop the call, to place the button. Instead, I let the call go through and let the response team know that I was doing a test call. The volume was clear, they were notified under approximately 30 to 60 seconds. They where able to locate my exact location and identify who I was. The person speaking on the phone was calm. I first identified my name and that I was testing the product. We went through a series of questions, and once finished hung up from the call. When you first place the lanyard around your neck, the device will let you know it is activated and working. Also, when putting it in the charger dock it will let you know that it is charging and/or if it is fully charged. Overall, think this is a great product. Was very impressed.

This is a great device if you have an elderly or disabled family member (or yourself) and you want to keep them safe reliability. Everything you need comes in a small and well packaged box. They include the device itself, a charging cradle (with a long cabled wall power adaptor), a belt/purse clip (in case you want to clip the device to your waist/belt or your purse) and a lanyard that is required for the fall detection function.
Once you fully charge the device you create an account and sign up for a monthly plan, and they have two. The second one is the best and has this features:
Ask Lively
Whether you want to learn about your new device, look up a number or get directions — our team is here for you.
Urgent Response
In emergencies big or small, certified Urgent Response agents can help, 24/7.
Lively Link
Friends and family can get alerts on their smartphone if there’s an emergency.
Care Advocate
Work with experts to create a personalized plan to meet your health and wellbeing goals.
Nurse On-Call
Medical advice from nurses and doctors anytime, even nights and weekends.
And for an extra low monthly fee, you can add fall detection (highly recommend it for this device, as it can detect if you had a bad fall very accurately). If you install the family lively alert app, you can also get an instant alert on your phone if your family member uses the device, so you are also informed.
With this plan, I love how the device is not only for emergencies (and by the way, the emergencies are not only medical, you can also press the button in example if you hear strange noises or someone breaking into your home etc), but you can also press the button to talk to someone for general questions, a nurse a doctor etc.
Now, the device functions anywhere there is a cell phone signal (no, you don't need to sign up for extra cell phone service, just any of their two plans) and the response is immediate. I did a test call pressing the emergency button and someone picked up right away. They are 100% US based, however if your family member speaks another language other than English, they also have people that speak many languages (I asked). When you press the button, it confirms and connects within a few seconds (it does give you an audible warning and if you pressed it by mistake, you have the chance to press it again to cancel before it connects you to someone). I also tried their fall detection, but their algorithms are so accurate, it was able to distinguish from a real fall from a fake one, so it did not work (and I'm not going to fall on purpose, of course). Battery life is outstanding and I love the charging cradle.
If you have an elderly or disabled family member living alone or whom you cannot be on the lookout for all the time, I highly recommend this device to keep them safe!

I just got the lively mobile 2 and find it very interesting. It's delivery was rather fast, it's packaging exceptional. lt comes with a nice user manual very clear instructions and instructions on activation options both telephone and online.
The unit boasts fall recognition and cell phone emergency contact with a push of a single button. It's activation and monthly fee for premium service runs about $35.00 a month, this gives you a remarkable selection of services through a dedicated cell phone network to urgent care specific nurses contacts, lost keys, lost location guidance and help.
A very professional service for very reasonable price with an additional $10 fee it records most falls and reports it as well, it’s small waterproof and it includes a latch for a shirt pocket belt and purse.
I find it's Surreptitiously timed for my needs since I am immobilized due to a surgery on my right foot and my mother is 88 years old and struggles with arthritis. I also bought it to track my activity during the day when I go for walks in the near future and since it is waterproof it can be used while taking a shower, swimming etc… which is notably one of the highest risks for falling and hurting oneself.
Two issues that might be a problem: When the battery gets low within 24 or so hours the unit begins to flash low battery in the middle of the night when you’re sleeping that’s a distraction, The second one is I need to have a serious fall to find out exactly how it could rescue me from such an event and that I don’t have often- only once a lifetime thus far.
However, I intend to drop kick the unit to see if it reports airborne or bad landing, just kidding.. I did simulate a fall on a hard ground from about three feet and it works fine two feet to one and a half feet above a rug had mixed results. But that’s rather standard for most people, and a mild slip usually means you can push the button for help.
Finally, it's my mother's 89th birthday, she "tumbles" & falls frequently and at least I can be called/notified as my gift to lending a hand when needed.

I am really thankful that I purchased this. It has been a life saver. I was connected to someone right away when I pushed the button. They were very prompt with getting the EMTs here to pick me up off the floor. I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase this one. Besides being the least expensive and a GPS on the Verizon network, it not restricted to help for falls. If you hear something in your house or you are in a situation outside and feel nervous or you locked yourself out of your house, you can press the button and get help in those situations also. Another important reason to purchase this one is because you can wear it in the shower. I find it to be all inclusive for any scenario. I did not find any other buttons that you could use in the shower, that could be used by GPS within the button, that offers service in situations other than falls, that has an app to help you know where your loved one is and more, all in one unit. The purchase price and the monthly payments for service are WAY lower than other companies. I recommend buying this for yourself or a loved one who is a fall risk. It could save a life. I recommend purchasing a lockbox for your door so that EMTs are able to get in if necessary. You can give the code to the person who responds when you push the button or it detects a fall. You are also able to put optional information on your account. I recommend putting the code to your lockbox on there in case you can't speak for whatever reason.

The Lively Mobile 2 medical alert
As a nurse, one piece of equipment that every elderly or disabled person who lives alone should have is a personal emergency response button. The CDC indicates about 36 million falls are reported among older adults each year—resulting in more than 32,000 deaths.
My grandmother lives alone, and while she has a cellphone, she doesn’t always carry it with her, or it’s not close by. The Lively Mobile 2 life alert system gives me and my mother peace of mind in the event something should happen.
The device comes with a base station for charging, a power cord, belt clip holster, and a magnetic clasp lanyard. Set up is very easy: the caregiver sets up an account, and once that part is completed, you just place the button in the charging dock and it powers on, runs through a check, and then announces that everything is fine and fall detection is active.
The agents and service is great too. I had pressed the button, and it had connected to the dispatch center, but I had accidentally hung up, they called back within five minutes to make sure everyone was okay – that they had received a disconnected call from the device. So knowing that if your loved one presses it on accident, not to worry, dispatch is very understanding.
It’s so easy to use, you just press the large button, and wait for the device to connect, if you accidentally press it, you have five seconds to cancel it by pressing the button again. Fall detection is on spot. I tried it with a controlled fall and the device activated and connected me to dispatch.
The service is great too. The device can be purchased with HSA or FSA funds and the plans are super cheap. I’m glad I have this as my grandmother can continue to maintain independence but have assistance with her 24/7

The Lively Mobile 2 Medical Alert System is a simple device that may be of importance for someone who may be an emergency risk. Being a recent amputee, I thought that this device may be of help in my situation.
Prior to use, you must activate and register by providing your account information. After registration you may now charge the Mobile 2 device by placing it in the base station. Upon charging, you will receive voice prompts indicating that the device is charged and ready. Also, you will be notified if service is available.
Usage of the device is fairly simple as there is only one button to press to make a call and a customer service assistant to answer your. This assistant will coordinate everything needed for your situation. This also includes connecting to 911. Using this device is easy peezy. There is a power button at the back of the device should you decide to turn off the device for whatever reason. Do note that the device powers on when charged.
That said I still have musings about this device, And please don’t get me wrong here. The main reason or my musing is that smart watches and cell phone can replicate the functions of this device. To note further, there is a monthly service fee also involved whereas there are no additional charges for using a smartphone and smartwatch combo. And this also covers fall risk.
So, is there still a use for this product? The short answer is yes. However it will more for a specific demographic. This device actually works. But I firmly believe this device is for the elderly and technology averse. For some people, operating a smartphone is still complicated and thus use older technology. This device would be perfect for them. But for the younger generation or technologically aware demographic, the value or utility may be of question.
So prior purchasing device is for you to fully assess if this is the right device for you.

This Lively Mobile2 Medical Alert Device is a very small and easy to use alert device. It’s an all in one, so with the push of a button you can send an alert to the alert response team. The response time is pretty quick. I tested it on several occasions, both and home and away from home. The response times ranged from 10 to 20 seconds each time. The fall detection is a little off, as it will alert of a fall, when it doesn’t actually happen. It did, however, pick up and alert of every fall instance. The device comes with a docking charging base, a clip to wear on your belt, and a lanyard that must be worn when using the fall detection. It also comes with a very detailed user manual. The device does require an activation fee of $25. There are two different plans, one being a regular basic plan for $24.99a month and a premium plan for $34.99. The difference in the plans is that the basic plan includes the Urgent Response and the Lively Link App, and the premium plan includes those, plus Care Advocate and Nurse-on-Call. The device seems good and the respond time fast, but the plans fees and activation fee were a little too much for me.

The Lively Mobile2 is a new medical alert type pendant that you can wear around your neck via an included lanyard, or, clip on with an included clip. It’s meant for those who may live alone or to wear when out and above, and with the press of a button, allows you to connect to someone you can speak to over it’s built-in speaker should you experience an emergency of some sort, using local cellular connections to connect you.
The device isn’t very large or heavy, at around 2 inches tall and a little over an inch wide. The front is just the call button, speaker, and microphone, while on the back you have the power on/off button, a battery life indicator, signal indicator, a serial number sticker. Four metal areas at the bottom are for charging in the included dock, which with a voice, alerts you if there are any problems or not, and also has a button for a quick self-diagnostic. Battery life (lithium-ion) is approximately 40 hours depending on use, and it’s easy enough to charge overnight in the dock. A blinking light goes solid green when it’s fully charged. The lanyard is unique – you don’t just put it over your head… it’s a bit shorter, but has a magnetic clasp, where one side slides into the other snugly via magnets, and is very easy to put on and off… A+ for this design! The clip is pretty standard as you just slide the Lively2 down into it and clip it on clothing, a bag, purse, etc.
With a subscription (two available at a monthly fee and an add-on), you can subscribe to the basic plan at $24.99 which includes emergency connect to a live operator if you press the connect button, as well as a “Lively Link” app loved ones can use on their phones that connects to your device where they get alerts if you have an emergency as well. If you up it to $34.99 per month, you also get access to a care advocate and a nurse-on-call for basic questions. These are pretty standard prices more or less. My one complaint is that if you also want “fall detection”, where the device will call someone automatically if it thinks you have fallen (lanyard required for this), you have to pay an additional $10 per month on top of the plan prices. My opinion – fall detection should be included with any plan as important as it is, and the extra cost for that feature alone may be out of reach for the elderly/handicapped who are on strict budgets.
Per instructions (a good, printed book is included), you create your account online before you even charge the device on Lively’s site, enter all pertinent info, and once set up, charge the device and once fully charged, you are set to go. Customer service per phone is available from 4am to 7pm (PST) or you can email them via their site. Once set up, I pressed the call button, and within a couple of seconds could hear the phone ringing on the call center end (you can immediately press the button again to disconnect if you press it in error). Cell connections are provided using Verizon’s 4G network. There is no volume control, but the person who answered on the other end was loud enough and clear enough, for me. I told him I was testing a device and he said he could also hear me clearly. There was an error in the way it had been registered (on the shipping end) and I had to call customer service the next day to get it fixed. The Lively Mobile2 is also water resistant and they say, can withstand being worn in the shower, or being dropped in water briefly.
Now the unfortunate part – customer service. During setup and testing, I had to call customer service, and condensed, it took three attempts to reach someone over a two day period, which resulted in two 40+ minute wait times and the third, just over 25 minutes. The rep I talked to “was on her third day working there” and I had to be transferred to someone else resulting in another 12 minute wait. Eventually my questions were answered, but, taking two days with excessive wait times during non-peak hours is not impressive. For this reason I do not think I would recommend the Lively, as many older people or those buying this for them may not have the time (or patience) to deal with this. Along with the added $10 fee on top of the regular fees just for fall protection, while the device itself is neat and a great idea, the horrible customer service attached to it makes me have to give this a thumbs-down.

My mom ended up having to use the very next day. I wasn’t going to get the fall protection detection, but I ended up adding that for nine dollars extra per month on top of the $24 per month and I’m glad I did because they actually called me to tell me that they detected a fall in my mom was unconscious. The Livelye operator conferenced called me in to her button thing and I was able to talk to EMS. Thank God I set it up online put in all her emergency contacts and it literally worked absolutely positively amazingly. I was going to get her life alert, but he had to buy that online and wait for it to ship so I’m very very very glad I got this from Best Buy. I highly highly recommend.

I’ve been using Lively Medical Alert for quite some time now, and I can’t express how grateful I am for this service. My son bought this for me out of no where one day, and as someone living with heart failure, having a reliable medical alert system is great for my peace of mind, his peace of mind and my safety.
So far I have not had to use the service, but from what I read the service response is supposed to be lightning-fast. Knowing that quick help is just a button press away gives me immense comfort. The device itself is straightforward to use. The large button is easy to find, even when my hands are shaky. My only complaint is the set up buttons in the back are too small for me and I always need my son to come by to adjust the settings every so often.
This may be irrelevant to alot of people but I'm a woman, and I don't want to have to wear anything that is not an accessory to my outfit. The design is sleek enough where I can hide it from view and does not cause discomfort when hidden from view.
I have worn this 4 weeks now and have had some accidental splashes of water on it, but it appears to still be functional. The device is easy to locate and easy to charge.
Other than the small buttons in the back, I have no other complaints!

So far, this has been everything it's cracked up to be. It's light weight. I don't even know I'm wearing it around my neck. The charger was accidentally unplugged (my fault) so, naturally, the device didn't take a charge. When it began to lose power, I was notified by an announcement coming from the Lively Alert. I activated it online. Nothing could have been simpler and I saved a few dollars on the installation charge. This one will be a keeper.

I purchased this LIVELY MOBILE 2 as a replacement for the original LIVELY MOBILE for my elderly mother. She had had the original one for a few years and the rechargeable battery wasn’t lasting as long.
The second generation of the lively mobile is much sleeker and has a better design for placing it in the charger.
Overall, I would highly recommend this device to bring you peace of mind for your loved ones who aren’t as stable on their feet… But still wish to have their independence.

After looking at few options for my mom we purchased this device. This has fall pertection offered for an additional 9.99 a month. I did not purchase the monthly plan through Best Buy. When I activated the product online I chose what I wanted. Still had to call customer service for an issue, kind of a long wait, but they were very helpful. Do not set this device up using your main email like I did because my mom does not have an email, or you will not be able set up the app for yourself. Trust me. Been using this for several weeks and very have with the device, easy to use for mom. The claspe on the lanyard is magnetic which is so easy to put on and off if the user chooses to not put over their head. Placing the unit on the charger is also super simple even for arthritic hands. All and all I give the product 4 stars - I did not give 5 stars as we have not needed to use the actual features of the product.
As for purchasing this at the store. So my store showed that this was in stock however after 30 minutes and opening and closing several cabinets the sales assistant could not find any. Just order it online and activate it online.

I purchased this for my father and he was reluctant to wear it at first, but after we spoke to the Lively personnel and did a trial run of the features available to him on the Premium plan I purchased for him, he was very willing to use it. He’s been wearing it for about a week now and he hasn’t taken it off once. I’m able to track him through the app and I now have peace of mind that I didn’t have before. My dad is 84 and insists on living alone, so this is an essential product. The only qualm I have is that fall detection costs an extra $10 per month — that’s one of the main reasons to buy one of these and it’s usually included with the competitor plans and pricing. That said, the ease of setup, and the fact that the premium plan includes access to an on call nurse and basic healthcare services is a major plus in my book and with the extra fee. It’s also very easy to set up and the Lively service professionals are very helpful and courteous.

I got this for my mother. It was very easy to activate. I did it online. I added the fall detection. So far, she hasn't needed to push the button, but it gives me peace of mind knowing if something happens, she will get help.
It is very easy to charge. Just set it on the charger. It blinks when charging and solid when done. There are 2 lights on the back that tell you if it needs to be charged and signal strength. It is very good where we live. There is a cell tower not far away.
