Customers frequently mention the excellent video quality, finding it suitable for video conferencing despite occasional limitations imposed by the conferencing software itself. The privacy shutter is also a popular feature, with users appreciating the added security and ease of use. Positive feedback also highlights the convenient USB-C connection and the affordable price point. Overall, the Brio 300 webcam receives praise for its ease of setup and reliable performance.

This connects easily. The picture was a little fuzzy. We might have kept it anyway.
Unfortunately you have to bypass Apple app security to download the Zoom app to the Mac. We will just use the iPad for Zoom.

Solid HD Webcam and a Great Value

The Logitech Brio 300 is a great webcam, especially when factoring in the value. Much like how even a simple soundbar can improve drastically upon a TVs built-in speakers, a simple external webcam can make a resounding difference compared to built-in laptop webcams. In this case, the Brio 300 provides a full HD resolution coupled with features like auto-light correction, noise reduction microphone, Logi Tune app support for custom image calibrations, and a privacy shutter for when not using the webcam. In all of these regards, the Brio 300 succeeds well. The picture is crystal clear, the auto lighting works great for cleaning-up dim light situations, and built-in mic works well. If you want to sound your best however, I still would absolutely recommend getting a dedicated microphone, as this won’t make you sound nearly as good as it can make you look.
I really only had one gripe with this webcam, and that is the actual mounting mechanism. It doesn’t really tighten or feel very secure on your monitor. The hinge is flexible, which should allow it to work with a wide variety of monitors (in my case an Ultrawide Monitor), and because of the looser fit, you can move the webcam easily up and down and side to side without much issue. However, I also wouldn’t trust it to not fall off if bumped or shaken in any way. In most cases, this isn’t an issue, but could be worth noting if you have kids or animals that tend to run into your desk a lot. Honestly, I don’t think it is much of an issue.
The webcam itself is very light, and while it feels a bit “cheaper” that is more down to the use of recycled plastic than anything else. The size is good, without being too large, and overall I have had no issues with software, or hardware, in my time with the webcam. I primarily use Microsoft Teams, and the webcam has integrated seamlessly. Really no complaints here with overall usability.
All-in-all, if you are looking for an easy way to upgrade our laptop web-cam, without breaking the bank, you can’t do much better than the Brio 300.

Logitech Brio 300 Video Camera (Graphite)
With Zoom and other virtual face-to-face video meetings becoming the norm, it’s important to make a good impression. You want to both look good and sound good. This Brio 300 video camera helps you achieve that on both counts. It has a 70-degree field of view, so it covers a lot of area. It works with Google Chrome OS, Apple MacOS X 10.10 or later, and Windows 8 or later.
Setup is straightforward; simply place it on top of your monitor and then connect it to your computer via the provided USB-C cable.
The 1080 resolution and auto light correction of this Brio 300 help you look your natural best, even with you’re in a low-light setting. And the built-in mike clears up any background noise, so your voice comes over clearly. In fact, in a test I did, alternating between using the Brio 300’s mike sitting atop my monitor, and the one built into my laptop computer that the monitor was attached to, the Brio 300’s mike sounded much crisper than the hollow sound of the laptop’s mike.
There’s a rotatable privacy shutter to cover the camera lens when you’re not on a meeting call, or when want to be heard but not seen when you’re on a call. You’ll want to keep this closed when not in use for privacy reasons.
Brio 300 is certified for Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom and will likely work with just about any other present or future virtual meeting software.
You can’t go wrong with this device. It’s a keeper!

Simple webcam that does its job

The Logitech Brio 300 is a solid, basic web cam that can be used across a variety of applications on both Windows and MacOS machines. In fact, they boast a number of such apps on the box in which the camera is housed in, so you'll know that this camera will work with pretty much everything.
I tested this camera on a MacOS device. As a testament to the ease of setup, the only thing I had to do was download a Logitech app that directly ties into the Brio in order for any settings to be changed and for me to otherwise control the camera.
While there are a handful of video resolution settings to choose from, I typically allow the application I'm using -- whether Google Meet or Zoom, for example -- to set those for me.
In all honesty, whether it comes to smartphones or web cams, they appear to me to be using essentially the same camera systems, so the quality is actually going to be more than what you need --clear graphics with no stutter on frame rate.
The only knock I give is that the lens cover, while otherwise easy to swirl to open or close, does require you to keep the camera steady, else the supporting clamps (which aren't spring-loaded) tend to give way, and you have to re-position the camera. However, once you get used to how the lens flap works, it's not a huge deal.
Overall, if you're in need of a USB-C-terminated web cam, this would be the one to get!

Low Price for High Performance

Logitech Brio 300 Webcam
Introduced recently is the new Logitech Brio 300 camera with an odd sci fi cone shaped styling. It contains both a camera and microphone and connects via a USB C port into a computer. I don’t mind the design and definitely like the good performance and the low price. When on sale it gets even better since it starts from a reasonable list price.
The clamp it has simply attaches to the top of your laptop or monitor so if you are suing something that is very thick it might not easily attach. It was able to install and setup was very easy.
The camera can be turned off by using a sort of flipping lid function and offers total privicy when “flipped”.
The image and microphone pickup is good and produce a clear picture with good sound for zoom, teams, and the other groups software in the market that are vying for dominance.
BTW: it is available in white also as well as what is described as a rose color. I have the black model and assume they are all identical electronically except for the housing colors.
I am very pleased with the price and quality of the Brio and would recommend it to others.

I purchased this to replace a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 which was having compatibility issues with Mac iOS 14.4 (intermittent glitching). This cam was unable to render my skin tone accurately no matter how I adjusted the settings (using Logitech's app or others). I have a pro LED 3 point light kit set at 5600K, so poor lighting was not causing the problem. I returned this webcam asap. I solved the C920 issue by connecting it to my computer via a Thunderbolt dock, btw, so need to hunt for another webcam for now.

1080p Webcam with Noise Cancelling Microphone

Video conferencing - whether you love it or hate it - is here to stay. Many of us are working in hybrid environments where we have to meet with co-workers, clients or vendors on a video call. Teams, Google Chat, Zoom, etc have all been adding features and enhancements to make these calls better.
Many laptops come with a built in webcam. The problem is in order to use it, the laptop has to be open and if you have multiple monitors this isn't always ideal. If it is open, where do you look? I have old eyes so I have to move my video conference over to my 27" monitor, but then I'm not looking at the camera. Ugh.
Time for a webcam upgrade - enter the Logitech Brio 300.
1080p for high quality video
Noise cancelling microphone for better sound
Built-in privacy shutter when you don't want anyone sneaking a peak
USB-C for simple one cable install
The install is super simple. Logitech uses a genius designed mount for the webcam that allows it to be installed on nearly any monitor. After that, run the cable to your device. I'm running Windows 11 and it was immediately picked up and ready for use. You will likely have to adjust the settings in your video conference software to use the Brio.
Video quality is noticeably better as I had several co-workers mention it. For $60 it's well worth the money for those of us who spend any significant time on video calls. I love that I can position the webcam anywhere and not being locked in to a specific place as with the built-in.

High Definition Visuals and Sound

The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite is a professional quality Webcam that does not take you to the bank for a hundred dollars or more, while providing a high definition video picture with sharp and clear sound. When I first plugged the Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite into my computers USB C connector, there was no response on my screen. I then downloaded Logi Tune and opened it and the light came on the Brio 300. I was instructed to install the available new firmware update. Under the label my devices, a small screen opened up showing Brio 300 was connected. The Logi Tune app lets me make adjustments on exposure, gain, white balance, brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness. Also there are filters that change the look of the video from bright, blossom, forest, film, Glaze, and mono B. I made a video call to my Granddaughter In-law to test the quality on the other end. She told me that the video pixilation does not drag from side to side as my previous Webcam video did. The Full High Depth picture comes out crystal clear in 1080P. The sound does not give off that robotic metallic sound either. Vocals are clear and crisp and understandable with no negative feedback. She was so impressed on how I looked in the video that she asked if I could give it to my Grandson as a birthday surprise. The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite is an impressive device to video call on.

This camera is exactly as advertised. I popped it on top of my monitor (since I prefer to use my laptop on clamshell mode when docked), plugged it in and easily set it up.
Teams video calls worked perfectly. Quality seemed good to co-workers on the other end. Microphone picked up well too, even at ~3-4 feet away.
I also plugged this into my Mac Mini and it set up and worked perfectly as well. Nice to be able to FaceTime with my kids on the large monitor.
The little rotating lens cover is really nice. Easy access for on/off and no worries about someone spying on you ;) Little LED indicator lights up when app is using it.
Definitely recommended!

Perfect Choice For High Audio and Video Fidelity

I have found myself needing to do more video conferencing as of late, so I decided to get this camera instead of relying on my lower resolution laptop camera. I am very happy that I did because the difference in audio and video quality is a night and day improvement. I will be using this camera exclusively now for all of my video conferencing needs.
The 1080P resolution really makes a difference when compared to the 720P resolution cameras in my laptops. But as important is the high fidelity noise reducing microphone. This mic effectively suppresses background noise and allows sounds to be transmitted loud and clear. Much clearer than any of my laptops.
Installation was easy as it is completely plug and play. The camera sits securely on the top of the monitor using the built in stand. Once connected go into the camera settings of Windows, select the Brio 300, and it is ready to go. It has an attached USB-C cable and Logitech recommends connecting it directly to your computer. However I connected it to my hub via a USB-C to USB-A adapter, and it worked perfectly.
One thing I noticed is that if you are using Windows Hello for facial recognition, my laptop defaults to the internal laptop camera. This is likely a security measure, and I could not find a way to change this. This is not a problem for me though, because I am using this camera for video conferencing exclusively.
The Logi Tune App is available if you want to fine tune the camera settings. The App works well, but I found that out of the box the camera is properly configured. Also Windows has available settings to adjust the camera settings.
I highly recommend the Logitech Brio 300! Its high audio and video fidelity quality make it a perfect choice..
