The overall design of the mouse is sleek and finished. The adjustable weights allows for maximum comfort and it's got very accurate tracking. The free scroll although neat I haven't found much use for though. Putting the weights in the bottom of the mouse has a magnetized back to hold the weights but it isn't very secure if the weights aren't all the way in. Overall this mouse is serving me well in the realm of first person shooters and compared to my corsair r65 I think it's the best wired mouse for gaming.

I'm not even using this mouse for gaming even though that's its intended audience. I had been searching intently for years trying to find a replacement for my old Logitech Revolution MX; a very old wireless (proprietary) mouse with a bunch of buttons and, most importantly, infinite scroll. This finally replaced it, even though it's not wireless; it's just too good to care about that aspect. The mouse has removable and adjustable weights that you can insert into grooves in the bottom, so you can adjust not only the weight, but where the weight is distributed. The scroll can be either stopped by normal detents, or one button press and you're on infinite scroll, which I use all the time to get to the bottom of endlessly long web pages. It supports right and left scroll with the wheel. Another handy feature; you can map buttons to nearly anything. I have two mapped to DPI up and down so if I cant very high precision movement, but slow, couple presses and that's in place, or if I want normal speed, couple presses to raise it back. it's very comfortable for extended use. All in all just a really fantastic mouse.

The G502 is an amazing mouse for the money. It is much nicer to use than some other gaming mice, and has enough buttons to satisfy someone who really likes clicking buttons. It has adjustable weight, and the Core version can be found for fairly cheap now, but if you want the same great mouse with an RGB logo, look at the G502 Proteus Spectrum. Same great mouse, but with 16 million colors on the Logitech G logo. The cable is nicely braided and of great length, though the weave can be snagged easily, as it is a bit on the coarse side.

If you like gaming, especially FPS, and have medium size hands, this is the best mouse out there that I have tried hands down. The optical sensor that Logitech uses is one of the best, if not the best on the market right now. The only other mouse that has it is I believe the Corsair M65 Pro (new version with optical sensor, not the old with the laser sensor). This mouse is my daily driver and the RGB coloring looks fantastic if you want to match it to your other peripherals. Also all of the extra buttons are so useful. I have three different modes that I use, 1. Productivity 2. Casual Use 3. Gaming. The software is simple to use and if you have other Logitech peripherals you can color coordinate the RGB lighting effects which looks pretty cool. Also, the ergonomics are perfect IMO. So comfortable to use for hours and hours. If there was one thing that I wish Logitech would adjust on this mouse, it would be the scroll wheel. I love the way it feels and love that it has the infinite scroll wheel, but I'm not a fan of the metal coating as it gets slippery and sometimes my finger will slide off of it. If they put a rubber coating on it this mouse would be flawless. Overall, I would highly recommend this mouse to a beginner and advanced gamer.

Previous mice used: Logitech G5, Anker Gaming Mouse, Razer Deathadder (2013) Pros: Phenomenal Sensor- haven't used maxed dpi yet Software has plenty of features Ergonomics is perfect for my hand Buttons feel great Metal scroll wheel is a joy to use Mouse feet are nice and thick Cons: Some of the button placement is awkward- sniper button, thumb buttons Cable is really stiff- sounds weird but sometimes the mouse will get pulled in certain directions when you leave it on the pad A bit on the heavy side- even without weights

After using multiple iterations of the Razer Deathadder for years, I got fed up with them developing a double clicking issue. Some research showed that it was the fact that the right and left click buttons were attached to the frame instead of being individual buttons. The G502 has individual mouse buttons. It is a bit thinner than the Deathadder though. That took some getting used to but after I did, it feels comfortable. Laser is good and the software lets you customize profiles for different DPIs and lighting options.

I really do love this mouse. It is precise, feels good in the hand, and looks super sharp. I like how the scroll wheel is nice, heavy, and metallic. The best part of the wheel is the ability to switch between click scroll and free scroll. Makes scrolling long pages quick and easy. I really like the ability to add and remove weights to the mouse to customize the weight of it. Just one more way to make the mouse feel ever more solid. The precision of this mouse is top notch. It has DPI switching that can be fully customized. I use the mouse for Photoshop work as well as FPS gaming. It has excelled at both. My only qualm is that the onboard lighting cannot be changed from blue. It would be perfect if the lighting could be changed to a different color. Minor issue though in an otherwise amazing mouse.

I really love this mouse. I thought the weights and DPI switching was a little silly but after playing with them, it totally made a difference on gaming especially on FPS games. I also like how I can sync up the RGB lighting with my G910 and G633. It has many buttons that you can customize to do certain functions or have them macro to do certain commands in gaming. The mouse is an updated version of the Core G502 fixing some of the minor problems that people had complained about and giving it RGB lighting.

Have only had the mouse for a few weeks, but very good so far. Owned a Deathadder before this for about 3 years, but the left click went bad, hopefully this one lasts much longer. Time will tell though, so far size works very week for me, a bit on the heavier side (even without any added weights), but I prefer this type of mouse for playing MOBAs and such. I thought having a lot of buttons would be a hindrance, but the placement of each button is very nice.

Pros: +Highly customizeable (the weight customization is great, the macros/memory settings are also fantastic, and the ability to cater to different surfaces is AMAZING) +Extremely comfortable (have used it for 16+ hours days when working from home and have also used it for long gaming sessions as well) +Attractive (subjective) +Reliable and well-built (cable is very durable) Considerations (not necessarily Cons, but things to consider): -Gaming mouse (some people may not like the looks)

Very fast and responsive for gaming. The added weight-control is a wonderful addition for customization and the RGB is aesthetically pleasing, if you're into that sort of thing. Could be a bit narrow for people with bigger hands, but none of the 11 buttons are big problem for mine. Highly recommended!

I purchased my G502 mouse after owning a Razer death adder for 4-5 years. I love the amount of buttons on the Logitech and the placement as well. I use all the weights so I prefer a heavy mouse because I think it gives me a better feel when I need to move in game. the logitech software is really easy to use and the overall feel is great. I also tried the G900 i think? the wireless one that costs a little more and I liked the feel of that mouse better overall, especially the clicking but it didnt allow enough customization for my needs.

I am a harcor gamer, fps, mmo, rpg, rts... I had the death adder mouse before this and that mouse is a joke compared to this one. The weights are awesome on the mouse, i love that you can calibrate the type of mousepad you are using and the software for customizing it is a nice addition to my application library. Over all i love this mouse.

I got this mouse as a Christmas gift and at first was a little skeptical. I had never had a higher end mouse and it seemed so heavy and off balanced. I started messing with the included weights and now i love it. The weights are easy to adjust and comes with plenty of them. It is a heavier mouse than your standard mouse but i have gotten use to it and if anything i like the extra weight. The light for the G emblem is adjustable and the programming software is very easy to use.

Software is greatb it allows for all buttons to be customized. Even the scroll wheel can be clicked left or right and can be assigned key strokes or what ever. The only downside is the left mouse button ( you know the one you use to shoot) doesnt always register my turbo wall builds in fornite, requiring a double click(still pretty good though) Customer service for logitech has a long hold time.... 30 minutes +, but when some one answered, they replaced my mouse with a refurbished identical mouse when it stopped being so responsive. The refurb is less responsive than my original g502 but logitech let me keep it so I switched back. I am going to contact logitech and have a brand new g502 shipped out. Logitech is an amazing company and this mouse is amazing. On the fly dpi is cool but i actually assigned those buttons to different keystrokes for precision weapon choices. Great buy for the price. Allows for you to be highly competetive. Get this mouse.

Very nice feel and good button action. The mousewheel's spin action is a little too clicky for my taste, though you can disable the clickiness and use it in smooth mode if you want. Overall movement is little too twitchy at the default sensitivity settings but it can be adjusted. The Logitech driver software packs in a lot of cool features and does not require an online account to use it, unlike the drivers for Razer (which IMHO ruins the otherwise excellent Razer devices).

I've had this mouse for a few months and the more I use it, the more I like it. I have fairly large hands, and my old mouse was more rounded on top and a bit bigger, so when I first started using this one, I was afraid it was going to make my hand hurt because it felt much smaller. I'm happy to day that's not the case. The software to set up the profiles is simple to use and so far I haven't run into any problems. All in all, this mouse is perfect of my business/gaming use.

This mouse is suitable for any type of gamer, whether it be FPS, RTS, RPG, or something in between. The tunable weight system helps one find the right feel for his or her mouse, and the adjustable DPI further helps in that matter. There are a decent amount of programmable buttons which allows one to hotkey important commands to the mouse, and at one's fingertups. Overall, this is the mouse you want to get if you want to upgrade your game and play a decent assortment of games.

When my WOW mouse started to go I hunted for a replacement. I tried simple ones and ones that had multiple buttons. They were hard to use. The G502 had the right number in the right location and was easily customizable so that I can use my major functions all with one hand. It also allowed me to make profiles so that these changes only worked when playing the game. I hope it works for a long time so I don't have to hunt down another that is this versatile.

I had one of these before switching to a Razer mamba for the cool lighting effects that paired with my Razer keyboard. However, the Razer mouse felt very lightweight compared to this one. I prefer a heavy mouse for the smoothness of movement. Also the Razer mouse had issues with the software where it would freeze for a half-second or more, and I would be stuck looking at the ground or sky. Not a good feeling in an online FPS game... I had to get rid of the Razer mouse, and I knew exactly which mouse I was going to replace it with, Logitech 502... While that seems like a negative review against Razer, and it is, I have had ZERO issues with this Logitech mouse. Love the construction, the feel of the buttons, the software, etc. Very good quality. I should have never switched to the Razer, but I came to my senses, and am back with Logitech.
