Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the mechanical keys, quiet keystrokes, and programmable keys of the G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. They appreciate the backlighting and gaming features, and many find the price reasonable. While some customers find the orange color unappealing and wish for a more comfortable wrist rest, most agree that this keyboard is durable, responsive, and a great value for the price.

    Those Broken Keys

Man - I was so excited about this keyboard when I saw it.. But soon after using it for a while, the keys started to break. Mind you, this is a mechanical-style keyboard, each key sits on a "plus"-sign post. The female end began to crack and break.. so in some intense WoW sessions I had my WASD keys popping off and causing me to stand in fire. DPS HIGHER? nope.. I'd suggest going a different route than this keyboard.

    Too Loud, Letter "A" sticks

Under-impressed. Switched from a 2009 Razer Black Widow to this G710+. Built cheap, too plastic, and has too small of keys compared to the Razor. This limits my typing speed. Additionally, the letter "A" sticks when changing from the shift key, causing a capital letter that has to be deleted and replaced. I will not purchase again and will not purchase Logitech in the future. I will stick with Razor.

    Excellent Value, Decent Keyboard

This is a large and heavy keyboard that occupies a pretty big footprint, particularly with the included wrist pad (which isn't particularly nice feeling or stury). Typing action feels good, although Logitech puts rubber o-rings under each key which dampens the sound and feel; I prefer the keyboard without them but that is just my personal preference. The Cherry MX Brown switches are a happy medium between the 'typing on air' feeling of Reds and the clickiness (and aural assault) of Blues. The lighting is entirely via white LEDs (aside from orange for the four macro selection buttons at the top), which can be changed amongst 4 different brightness settings (ranging from retina-searing to a still fairly bright dim setting). There is also a volume roller that is satisfying to use and quite useful. I have not used the macro/programming functions but it seems fairly robust, although if you're used to typing 'by feel' the presence of the "G" buttons on the left can throw you off at first. Drawbacks are that there have been wide reports of the keys not being very durable and cracking at the stems. Logitech, to their credit, at least now offers replacement keys to either purchase to provide for warranty purposes (before they would require you to send your whole keyboard in). Still, that is slightly concerning considering durability is a major selling point of mechanical keyboards. I have not had any issues in 4 months of owning the keyboard. The real selling point of this keyboard is the value at the $80-90 price point that it often transacts at, which is a stellar value for a keyboard with quality switches and plenty of features from a reputable company.

This keyboard has an amazing tactile feel and impressive responsiveness, the keycaps are sturdy but easy to replace and the plastic shell is removable. I really like the macros as they are easy to setup and they are decently useful in most games. The switches are really nice and the mechanical clicking sound is awesome. I absolutely love it a lot and would highly recommend it.

    A great, elegant keyboard

I have used this keyboard for around 1.5 years now and have not had any issues with it. It feels great to use, does everything I need from it, and has some great features I did not anticipating using as much as I have. Here a handful of games I have played using this keyboard to give you an idea of what I use this for: CSGO Age of Empires 2 HD Starcraft 2 Tomb Raider (reboot) Batman Arkham series S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series The key lighting options are very handy for FPS games with the wasd specific option and varying lighting options. The extra USB port on the keyboard itself has been handy for USB charging devices and transferring data. The windows key disable button is also a nice bonus. As someone who likes discretion, the keys are pretty silent relative to other keyboards of similar price such as those from Razer. All around, this keyboard is a keeper.

This is a great gaming keyboard for the money. The backlight is a lot brighter than I expected it to be, and you can dim it if you feel the need to. The volume control is also very nice. Overall, it is an AWESOME keyboard for its price!

    Keys break after normal use

Since most of the several keyboards I own are from Logitech, I felt confident the G710 was a good buy about a year ago. Used it for gaming about a month and got used to the tall keys and the G keys off to the side. I wasn't too crazy about using two USB ports for the keyboard, but the USB port on the keyboard was handy for my G700 wireless mouse. After about a year, the keys started to break at the base all over the keyboard. I talked to a friend who works at Bestbuy, he told me this was a common problem with the G710, but it doesn't show up since most users write a review within a couple weeks of their purchase. Overall, a decent keyboard but good chance the base of keys may break after awhile. Keep your receipt!

    Very Great Keyboard

I really enjoy this keyboard. It is very well made and for the price I think its worth it. The keys are very nice to type with and are easy to press down. I love the sound and it isn't really that noisy of a key depending on what surface your keyboard is on. The backlighting under the keys is white but I personally like it. The levels of backlighting for the keyboard is not extremely out of this world it only has about 4 settings but I personally prefer a basic level of brightness besides like 16 (Razer Black Widow). The palm rest isn't the best but it will get the job done. I really enjoy the style of the keyboard and think it really looks nice. With the 50 million keystroke life cycle on this thing you can't go wrong. The keys feel really well thought out and I like how they are close together. I personally think this will be my permanent gaming keyboard. If you like custom keys and macros then this is good for you as well. There is 6 customization keys on the left side and with 3 profiles that totals up to 18 full customization keys. I only really like to use about 5 but whatever the user enjoys. The final thing I like about this keyboard is how it has the 26 key rollover. Usually most gaming keyboards have a 10 key rollover at the max because you only have 10 fingers but they go above and beyond. What this means is that 26 keys would be registered if they were all pushed in at the same time. This virtually means 5 hands can be typing on the keyboard at once and it would all go through. Is it necessary? No. Yet its still good to have the feature if you were playing a co-op game on PC that requires more hands on the keyboard than 2!

Logitech always undersells their products. They say they're extremely viable for gaming and such. That's a harsh understatement. Logitech IS the best in the world in my opinion, they're products are extremely sturdy and value performance, as does this keyboard. I bought this solely off of two people vouching for me, I've found it to be so much better than I was expecting. Greatly satisfied with my purchase.

I have been looking into a new gaming keyboard for quite a while to replace my 2012 Razer BlackWidow. I wanted to give a Logitech mechanical keyboard a try this time, checked my local Best Buy, and the 710+ with Brown switches was the last one they had. It does everything as advertised on the box. I was using Red Cherry MX switches on my last board, but switching to these Brown switches is a pleasant surprise with how quiet yet responsive the keys are. These keys seem to take less effort to record a keypress than the Red switches, which I'm currently adjusting to. I feel like in the long run this will help make my fingers feel much better after long sessions. There are a lot of "extra" keys on the board that are a nice addition but aren't game-changing. The volume knob in the top right of the board is nice, as well as having a mute button next to it. It has your typical media keys to the upper-left of the volume keys, and the key-brightness keys next to the media keys (individual brightness for whole keyboard and WASD grey keys). Mostly optional stuff but a nice touch. What I don't like as much right now, which I will most likely spend time getting used to, are the RIDICULOUS amount of macro keys on the top left/left side of the board. I don't really have a use for most of these keys, and my biggest complaint right now is that I will frequently press the G1/G2 keys instead of Escape. The software that you download from the Logitech website is pretty basic, and is mostly just used for setting up profiles and macros. Overall, I enjoy this keyboard. The Brown switches feel nice under the fingers without being super clicky. But is it worth the $129.99 advertised in-store and on Logitech's website? Absolutely not. There really isn't anything game-changing or eye-opening about this board that isn't on any other board. I think $130 is extremely over-priced for what this board brings, and is more appropriately priced anywhere in the $90-110 range. However, Best Buy does have a nice Price-Match-Guarantee, and I was able to find this board much cheaper on Amazon ($92 on 1/5/2016). Although the Amazon price couldn't be Price-Matched, they matched the Walmart price of $110, which is what I ultimately paid.

I bought this keyboard to replace a generic USB keyboard I got with my computer. I have to say this keyboard definitely gives me all the features and options I could want. I looked into the macro keys but I prefer to not use them. The keys feel nice and offer a quiet performance compared to other keyboards with different switches. I would consider buying a second model for my office if this went on sale again!

    Fantastic mechanical keyboard!

After tossing out another keyboard last week because of the awful build quality, I decided to take a trip to my local Best Buy and take a look at their selection. I'm coming from a Razer Lycosa, which worked, but the low-profile keys felt mushy and began to wear out after about 2 years - for 80 bucks I wasn't exactly pleased with it. I had never contemplated a mechanical keyboard before, thinking that they were only suited for office work (even though I grew up on them, something about them seemed "off" or "old-fashioned", and thus had a negative connotation in my mind.) They didn't have a single Mechanical keyboard on display, which was disappointing, and they were segregated into the PC gaming section, away from the regular wireless or "normal" keyboards. One of the Razer keyboards had a cutout so you could press the arrow keys and after pushing them in a few times I was sold. The mechanical keyboard feels satisfying. It gives me a type of feedback that a normal keyboard just doesn't supply. I opted to go with the Logitech for a pretty shallow reason, the white backlighting intrigued me, and I'm glad I went with it. The lighting is great, all of the added macro functions and specialty keys work great, and everything is a snap to set up. Although I would have liked more ports on the actual keyboard itself, only a USB port is included on this keyboard, it doesn't detract away from my positive view on it. The only downsides are the garish orange strip that the G keys are segregated into, it feels out of place on a keyboard without any other colors present. A blue would have matched some of the other Logitech products better, but...thats a small issue, and not one that really matters AT ALL. Also, the price felt rather steep - especially since there wasn't one on display, I had to take a leap of faith. Overall, great keyboard. The Cherry MX Brown switches feel snappy and aren't as loud as others I have tried. I can actually type on this without annoying other family members, but it is definitely too loud to use with anyone else attempting to rest in the room! :p
