The hub was compatible with all the devices that I tested, and it works reliably. It's not difficult to setup once you get in and play around with it, but it can be time consuming. It also integrates well with Alexa. Each device receives regular updates, so I'm sure more capabilities are coming. My only real complaint is that it only controls one room, so unless you want to set up a system of IR repeaters, you'll need another hub to extend control.

very good product i love it but it lacks the capability to control more than 8 devices. some people like myself have more than 8 devices so i c myself using other remotes but other than that love the features like being able to control stuff outside your home network. so for me thats a plus just becasue if u want to watch a show that already started and your on your way home , start the activity and when u walk into ur home puff everything is on....

I hooked up the Harmony Hub with Amazon Echo. Works really great with voice command. I can control my receiver, TV, set top box, fire tv using the hub. Great product!

I bought this Harmony Hub as a two for one deal. I got an echo dot along side the hub and they are a great pair. The echo dot was free with the purchase of the Harmony hub. I have to admit I was a bit concerned about what area to place the echo dot due to the device eavesdropping, but I placed the device in our living room to power on our tv and power off the tv. It works as advertised along side an apple tv and Blu-ray player. Configuring the hub was a bit of a bear, I used a Gen 2 iPad with the Harmony app. Once I got a good understanding of how to configure functions it was easy to set up devices.

I was tired of fumbling between multiple remotes to turn every device on in my theater room. I found this option and decided to give it a go without the remote. Setup was a snap on my iPhone and I had everything working perfectly within 10 minutes. It does what it's supposed to do. However, say you want to pause a movie or change the channel, it takes a decent amount of time for the phone to log back into the device through your wifi. That gets a little annoying. I'm sure I'll add a remote to pair with the device when it goes on sale.

It’s easy to set up and 9/10 times works exactly like we want and then I think it is Alexa messing up not the harmony...

Hub works great, app interface is limiting

The hub works with all the devices I've tried. Setup was mostly painless, but configuring all your activities through the app leads things to be desired. I honestly preferred the old harmony software, where you could easily create complex activities. If you have a smart tv or device that you will have to navigate any menus etc. to do your desired activity, be prepared for a ton of steps. It was about 60 taps on the phone to create a netflix activity on my smart tv because there's no discrete command. The app isn't the most responsive, but it does work. Hopefully they'll improve it in the future. Alexa integration works well enough too, as all my voice commands and favorites work. Build everything in Harmony first, then link alexa. If you have to update it, you'll need to sync and rediscover from alexa. Google Home integration is a little more complicated, and you definitely want to perfect everything before linking, as the refresh process requires an unlink, and a re-link which took several tries to successfully complete.

The Harmony hub was very simple to connect and operate though the software apps take a little while to learn. The internal IR blaster is enough for my situation where the tv is directly above the hub and the cable box is one shelf below, so the signal must be bouncing off the walls of the room. Did not even need to use the remote blaster. Works great with Alexa. Looking forward to getting another one for the other TV.

Pro: able to control everything that I could control. Able to set a time to turn whatever you want on. Nice feature if you're routinely home at the same time everyday. Able to control the Xbox One, to choose and navigate Netflix and other apps. I'm extremely happy with this Home Hub. Con: The instructions are very limited. Took me a while to figure out how to program sequences. A few trial and error sessions. 45 minutes to program 3 different sequences. Overall: I would recommend this to anyone looking for a all-in-one remote.

This product is great, it allowed me to use one device in order to get my TV, Apple TV, Firestick, Blue Ray player, and Receiver all working with my iPhone!! I can literally start or stop activities with my phone when I am on the other side of the country. (This comes in handy when my wife calls with the "the tv isn't working" if the input setting got switched.) I actually ended up buying another one for my devices in the loft... I would recommend getting the "Companion" with he remote if you don't want to use your phone, but either one works great!

The Harmony Hub did the trick. I can now control my entertainment electronics with the cabinet door closed. Having had an earlier Harmony remote, the upgrade was easy as the settings were already saved in my Logitech Mac software and just needed downloading to the Hub. Ipad/Iphone software is good and very useable but could use some improvement. The remote button layouts on an Ipad aren't the greatest.

Hardware wise--5 stars. It's the software that knocks it down to 4. And that only due to the few second delay you have to wait after the app is opened so that it can login and update your configuration. Not a huge deal but slightly annoying. Also--comes with 1 IR blaster extension and the base itself is an IR blaster. Latency is nearly zero. Quicker response than my buddy's RF Logitech setup.

Missing link to control Amazon Fire TV

I use IPTV service through my Amazon Fire TV. Though many TV's have partial control of the Amazon TV through the HDMI connection using this Harmony Hub allows the Harmony remote to fully replace the Amazon and Playstation controllers. Only two negatives are the setup is a little involved and the hub should come with all the more pricey Harmony remotes.

This is my second hub but my first came with the smart remote and this one didn't. The hub alone is sufficient since everyone has a smart phone but understand you have to be tech savvy. If you are then this is worth it and easy to setup. If not, it may get frustrating and recommend understanding the Harmony software may me some getting used to during setup. I remember when the older Logitech remotes needed to be connected to your computer to configure but with this, all you need is your smartphone/tablet and wifi. It does well to control my devices individually and setup activities that will turn on specified devices at the same time. I haven't encountered issues with any interference with wifi enabled devices (smart tv or wifi enabled receivers) nor with location since it comes with one IR blaster. Finding buttons on your remote won't be a problem even in the dark since your mobile device is lit and if you have everything programmed correctly (customized) then it works wonders. I have this set up with Amazon Echo but discovered echo doesn't change channels but it will turn on the TV to a specific channel through Echo. I'm sure there might be a way but haven't been able to get it to work properly.

I needed to replace my Harmony Links because they were rendered obsolete by the last Apple update. I control multiple systems so really didnt want any hassles. My settings transferred with minimal problems and I was easily able to connect to my Smart Things hub. That means I can use multiple Harmony home hubs now and control it all with my Amazon Alexa.

I was looking for a smart device to manage my smart TV, and AC plugs while we would go away for a day or to to the beach. I had read about the Harmony Hub and noticed it offerred the ability to manage a wide arrary of smart devices and with the sale price, I thought I would give it a try. The installation was quick and easy and Logitech support is excellent. I set the activities up and I can control it all from my phone or tablet. It worked so well we took a whole week away and even my neighbors commented on they though we were home as they could see the lights and our TV on. Anyway I would highly recommend the hub and really enjoy the capabilioties it has.

I was a little hesitant, haven’t had great success with past harmony remotes. This one has been wonderful. Got for my parents for Christmas and help set up. Not only did it pair to their newer equipment but fully controls their 25 year old stereo equipment. The auto connect doesn’t work great but adding devices individually is a breeze. Just put in brand and model info it handles the rest. You can even set favorites so a command like “watch TV” will turn on sound at and TV and set inputs. “Play Music” will turn on stereo and CD player and start playing. It is compatible with Alexa, so just teach Alexa the skill and she can activate favorites or basic commands alike. PROS Great Connectivity Intuitive setup Hubs IR blast is powerful Alexa Compatible CONS Hub is limited to 8 devices Virtual Remote on phone app is delayed with commands

I have had a number of Logitech remotes, like the amazing Harmony 1100 and more recently, the Smart Keyboard and hub combo. I got this one because I have 2 rooms with an entertainment system and I wanted to control my new Nest thermostat. I find that the Nest thermostat is better controlled by the dedicated app or by it's auto programming. However, I like being able to control my Lutron lights (which I could have done with my last hub anyway). This can control a slew of other home automation items out of the box, which makes it a bit more interesting to me as a future-proof remote. However, the cool stuff like IFTTT and Z-wave control, require a costly addon. Still, the fact that it is expandable means it could operate other platforms in the future with other addons as needed. As it is, there is an OK amount of things it will control. I got this because I needed a second hub anyway for my stereo. If it was all about the home automation, I likely wouldn't have chosen this. It's more like a great home theater remote that will also control some stuff in your house, not the other way around. I got the hub only, as I always have a smart phone or tablet handy, so the extra for the remote is unnecessary and raises the cost. The cost of the hub by itself is very reasonable. I like the ability to customize the screen and layout easily. It seems like this is more flexible than the older versions of the Logitech hubs. It has all the features of the older hubs, but more and with better programming options. So, yeah, a good purchase all and all.
