I had an in-home advisor come by to help integrate some of my smart home features including my televisions. The advisor was terrific and one recommendation was to add the Harmony hub so that Alexa could control my televisions. Works great!

Super easy to set up and is great for those old TVs when you want to control using Google Home. Only downside is you have to ask Google to talk to Harmony, so an extra step in words spoken to Google, but it works very well anyway.

The Harmony Hub does a good job filling in the gaps for home entertainment devices that use bluetooth remotes that wouldn't normally be controllable from one of the handled Harmony products. Overall it does a good job. It does have a bit of a lag in getting things turned on/off compared to just using the remote alone (needed this to control a Roku stick as part of the home entertainment system). Not particularly impressed with Logitech's harmony phone app or the PC app. You have to use one of these to setup the Hub. Of the two the phone one is easier for basic setup, but difficult for customization. The PC app is just plain clunky and not a well designed user interface, but it is still easier to eventually do customizations there.

Does exactly what I need to control my TV, cable box and sound bar all in one. Very easy to set up for the smart TV and cable box. The sound bar required additional setup, but it was also very simple with the IR sensor.

Hub's IR Blaster, Wifi and Bluetooth great

The hub provides a great IR blast radius and the wifi and bluetooth work perfectly. The IOS software for both iPhone and iPad is also pretty well thought out and easy to use. That said I still feel I need to purchase the Harmony Elite or Ultimate One hand held remote controls. The Harmony software seems to be missing control functions which are on device remote controllers unless I have not figured out how to customize the IOS interface. Also, leaving the iPad or iPhone on continuously while watching a show quickly uses the charge even though the Harmony software has been designed to dim the IOS device screen after several seconds. Most problematic (and this is not a Harmony flaw) is you must always refer to the IOS device screen to touch a button as opposed to having a tactile remote that your hand/brain cain learn to operate without looking at it. Example: when I fast forward through commercials during a show recorded on the DVR or when fast forwarding through a DVD. Now the Harmony IOS software does enable you to use gestures so perhaps I could learn to use those rather than the FF/REW buttons. Setting up the hub requires establishing a Harmony account which then lets you enter the make/model numbers of your various AV/Hue Lighting/Apple TV etc. All very simple to do.

The Best Buy associate recommended this to my husband. He loves it. He has programed it to turn the television off and on. Change channels and operate the lights. He is still looking to see what else he can do with it.

After calling Logitech twice and talking to three different people at Best Buy, I finally decided I only needed the Harmony Hub and not the Harmony Elite. Not so sure. The installers who connected my tv (above a fireplace) and set-up my Pioneer receiver indicated the Hub app cannot turn the tv off or on unless my iPhone 8+ had an infrared option. I received two different answers from Harmony and Best Buy. Just depended on whom you talked to. I have all of my home theater components in a closet. Harmony indicated the IR mini blaster needed to be connected to the hub and hub needed to be next to receiver. My goal was to have one remote to control all of my home theater (receiver, tv, directv 4k box, change volume, pull up directv guide, etc.). Have the Harmony app be my remote. Best Buy had Hub at $100 and the Elite at $250. Why pay $150 more if I am going to use app and not the remote. Still very early in the process so I need to see how this all is going to work. App works great but this is still so new. If anyone has any comments or has come across this as well, I would like to hear your outcome or solution.

I've been using this for several months and absolutely love it. Setup to use my Logitech Touch remote was a bit of a pain, but the results are worth it. I'm able to control my Smart TV, DVD, audio amp and Roku all from one remote. While you can use your smartphone as a your remote, I would recommend using one of the Logitech remotes (such as the Touch). It's easier to use and saves your smartphone battery.

If you want to minimize the use of your tv control to none. Then this product is good for you. Combine with the amazon echo dot you can use voice control to turn on and off your appliances.

I was skeptical at first but after I installed the hub and connected it (which only took 5 min) I had it working with my Dot in no time. Some of my devices are not in line of sight but it still turns them on/off without issue. The app works without issue and I can still use my Harmony One when needed (plus my wife still likes using the controller). Only had one issue with it disconnecting from my network but after a quick power cycle it was back up and running.

This has been great for our home. It makes turning on multiple devices very simple. I wish you could turn on a PlayStation 4 without an additional accessory, but that's probably more Sony's fault than Logitech's. Setting up can be difficult, but once you're familiar with their software, it gets easier.

    Love the Harmony

I've been using a Harmony Hub with a remote now for several years. In general, Harmony is best in class because it will turn the right devices on and off without having to go through a bunch of button presses, which means the whole family can figure out how the home theatre works. However, I had been behind on my firmware updates and in the course of trying to go from a really old software version to the latest when I changed from a cable box to Apple TV, I bricked my hub. Since I was out of warranty, I bought this to replace it. I was able to install this in our living room, move the programming over without much fuss, and make everything work again within half an hour. Probably the most popular thing in our house is using Alexa to turn the TV on and off or change the TV volume with voice commands through the Harmony. If you have an Echo in the living room, you could put this in and just use the voice control.

So cool, using my Amazon Echo I can turn on my TV, Cable Box, and turn to my favorite channel all by just saying ‘Computer, Turn on TV’ so easy to set up and the phone app is great!
