Best Harmony remote yet

I've been using Harmony remotes for about 10 years now, and this is easily the best yet. I love that you can set it up on your phone. It's much easier than the old way of hooking it up to your computer via USB. And the fact that the IR blaster 'hub' works so much better than I expected was another bonus. I was able to have it working with Alexa also for a while, but for some reason that stopped working (I suspect it is Alexa, not Logitech causing that issue). This is a fantastic remote. The remote feels perfectly balanced in the hand, and the keys are laid out intelligently. The only downside is it's tricky having more than 1 in your home (I believe the current limit is two). Once that's been resolved, I just may have these in every room with a TV. Yes, it's that good.

I had gone through a couple 650's as they found a cup of water and the dog scratched a number off of them. Setting up was very similar to that remote. This remote is way better functioning with the activity buttons. The 650 would get lost and and you would need to troubleshoot. One month and no issues with the remote malfunctioning with activities. This remote allows me to just switch from listening to radio to watching a movie. My dvr, receiver, blue ray player, CD player, and hub, are all behind a cabinet door and it works with no problems. The only piece of equipment that is visible is the extender, wife loves this. The kids like using their iPod and iPhone to change the channel on me from their rooms. If you have multiple devices, and want one touch power this remote is money well spent.

I had purchased my TV as an open box and it unfortunately didn't have the original remote. The manager was kind enough to give me 85% off of the purchase price of this remote, to make up for what my TV was lacking. I couldn't be happier, even if I had paid full price. It's very easy to set up, it controls absolutely everything with the push of one button. Very pleased I chose this remote.

So if you've used Harmony remotes before, you're already familiar with how these work, basically define devices and activities composed of commands to those devices. That said, you can also enable some Hue lights to be controlled - which is why I bought these. The control for these isn't as good as I hoped it'd be (and there's no homekit control, unfortunately) - but all in all, they were a deal for the sale price I got them at. Pleased with them, and hopeful that future software updates will make the bases even more functional.

This is even easier to use than the Harmony 650, and way more versatile with the phone app! If my wife can use it, almost anyone can! Allows me to program macros for functions such as watching Blu-ray on the TV, or the projector. Playing cable on either. Streaming Roku through either. If selecting projector, it turns on the Onkyo receiver, sets the HDMI output (TV/proj.), sets the input (Roku, PS4, cable box, Blu-ray player). The Harmony app is so easy to customize, so I can allow a short delay for the screen to drop until proj. is displaying the input signal. Remote is basic, but phone app preferred for better control.

After setting up a music appreciation room in a new home, it didn't take long to realize that five remotes were four too many. But could the Harmony
Smart Control handle all of the functions needed to operate a cable box,Oppo CD/ DVD player,a hard drive music server, an NAD receiver (with separate on and off buttons) and a smart TV. Yes,and Harmony made it easy ti set up.

I purchased this for my 94 year old mother so she could use it with her Alexa. She can turn her tv on and off and change channels telling Alexa to do it for her. She loves it. She also loves the remote if she chooses to use it. It is simple to use without a lot of buttons she can not read and use that are on her Suddenlink remote.
It was on sale which helped me make the decision to purchase it for her. She now has control of her Phillps Hue lights and Tv with Harmony. She feels like a princess!
She also has an Alexa in her living room and bedroom. Anywhere in her small house she can tell Alexa Call Mary and it will call my phone or she can call my sister. This is great if she falls or needs us for any reason.

This universal remote is very easy to set up and use. One button push and all the devices needed for your specific activity will turn on, i.e. watching tv, one push of a button and your tv, cable box, and audio tuner will all turn on for tv viewing. One button off all off as well. Only complaint of course is the price but it makes things allot simpler in living rooms that have 5 different remotes. This also works with the Amazon fire tv which is awesome for me cause I'm always losing that tiny remote.

Bought this remote to hook up with our smart tv, blue ray, Apple TV, and HD receiver. Handles all of the devices easily in a large living room area. The remote is great because it doesn't have a lot of extra buttons that we would never use. The receiver works from several places in the room with great range. Not sure what I was doing before we had this remote.

This thing takes some major technical know-how. I can't recommend it to people with low to moderate tech skills. It could be quite cumbersome to get the hang of for less techie people.
However if you have the patience and the know-how, this thing can do some awesome stuff, especially when combined with the Amazon Echo!

These thing are great! This is the third one in my house. I have two of the 650 model and love them. This unit uses your WiFi which is cool. The remote works well for guests, but using the app on your phone gives you all the options and was easy to set up. Harmony remotes cost more than other universals for a reason. Anything else is a waste of money.

Bought this off of a recommendation from a local home entertainment company. This is perfect for my needs. I placed the hub next to my receiver in a cabinet. The cabinet is located behind a wall and fireplace chimney. The app on the phone works perfect and I also converted an old Ipad to a remote control with this app. This is a perfect product for my needs.

So far it works great with distance and through doors and objects. I have concerns about battery life and how to change it. I can't figure how to open it yet. Does anyone know how? I have to give it 4 stars for now.

We got this remote so that we could try to get down to using one remote to control all of our devices (TV, blu-ray player, cable box, receiver, speakers). This one is pricey but it seems we had to get this costly model in order to come closest to eliminating all of our other remotes. I still prefer to use my cable remote when I'm using the TV and its DVR functions but we use the Harmony for everything else. We've only had it a month and we're still figuring out some of its features. We'd prefer a printed manual vs. online but no one provides printed manuals anymore. The remote is very sensitive, meaning we sometimes hit something by mistake and we've gotten stuck and had to turn everything off because we hit something that we can't get out of. So we can't say we love it but it seems to come close to doing what we want it to do.

This remote was so easy to set up- plug it in a few set ups with your iPhone and done. You can control the system from any where as long as you are connected to your home network. There is a small lag time between touching the controls and response by the components (extra step for the Harmony?) but works perfectly. Set confirms everything works correctly before moving to lock the codes. Also comes with the Harmony remote so I gained 3 remotes (1 Harmony and 2 smart phones) for $130, i touch starts all components for music, TV or movies. Another great product from Harmony.

We have owned several Harmony remotes over the years and have been very happy with all but the 1100. The 1100 just died after 2 years so we decided to try this one since we have tablets and smart phones laying around and the app looked fun. Set up was easy and I run the app on several different android phones and tablets with no issue. That being said we rarely use anything other that the basic remote. If the remote had back lite buttons it would be perfect. I am running a fairly simple set up of a Sony flat screen, Yamaha receiver, fits and a home theater pic running plex. To run plex just run the setup for windows media center and it works great.

I love the convenience on controlling all the TV and Audio equipment from my cell phone or IPad. I have two of these so I can turn the TV upstairs off from down in the family room when someone leaves it on. All I have to do is switch hubs and I have full control of the other system. Got to love technology. This system is extremely easy to set up and use.

I have been a long time user of Harmony remotes, this was the 4th version that I had purchased. First let me say I love these products. The harmony remotes are pretty easy to set up with the USB connection to a computer. I went with the Harmony Hub because I had an Amazon Firestick and Roku that use RF signals instead of an IR signal. None of my harmony remotes would operate these devices, so I upgraded to the Hub. The setup was basically the same thing as the other remotes. When it came to the Firestick it was a little tricky setting up the activities I wanted. Easy to set up just the activity of getting to the main screen of the firestick but if I wanted to have an activity to get to Netflix with a click, it took a few steps like programming how many steps down the cursor needed to go and how many to the right, and then hitting select. It took a little work and a few tries, and eventually I figured it out. Those steps have to be set up using a phone or tablet. I use both iOS and android devices to control the system and both work fine.
Overall I am pleased with the product, but I do feel it is a little more complicated than my previous Harmony Remotes. Would be great if they had some enhanced programming that let you open up apps on the firestick in an easy way. All of my other devices worked beautifying, as I suspected they would. The TV, Sound Bar, Sattelite receiver, and an HDMI hub always work perfectly. I bought a low end insignia android tablet to use as my actual remote full time.

This is a great product for anyone. I am a professional installer for much higher end remote controls. This is a great universal remote for the money, the next step up from this would run around 1,000.00+, plus a professional installer. The two main issues I have had with this product in the past #1 sometimes after an software update the product struggles to work correctly and #2 the IR blasters use 2.5mm and not the standard 3.5mm, so if needed you can purchase the 2.5mm IR blasters online or buy an adapter. Still quite annoying
