I purchased this universal remote when it was on sale at $69.99 which was a definite bargin. I can now control my TV, apple TV, blu ray disc palyer, etc all through the hub or my Ipad. The only minor shortfall is that you can only add up to 8 devices to it. All in all, it‘s a nice and easy to use.

Finally got this on sale to hook into my Alexa. Was very easy to setup and add the appropriate skills to Alexa. While the remote is basic is works very well. Overall, I enjoy the system to control my tv hub and accessories.
I use Alexa to primarily turn the tv on and off. I have found myself just using the shortcut buttons on the remote more lately because its just easier. While the Alexa compatibility is cool, some times it just easier to use the remote. That really my only complaint which is no fault of the product just a use case scenario.

Over the last two years I have been slowly automating things around my house. First lights, then some outlets, some BT speakers and so on. So I knew eventually I wanted to control my TV and related units. I knew that to do what I wanted I needed to go with the Harmony hub so that it would interface with all the devices as well as my Google Home.
To be honest, I didn't really want to spend $200 to turn on the TV and DVD player. My universal remote does that just fine. Just about all of the Harmony remotes will control my TV and sound bar. The Google Home were the issue. Probably true with Amazon Echo so be forewarned.
Over the weekend this remote/hub combo was on sale for $70. which is like 40% off so I decided I would do it. I kind of wanted a remote with a touch screen just for the wow factor, but the included remote is pretty good.
Connecting the hub to my home network was very easy. Since it came as a package I didn't need to do anything with the remote as it was already paired. So for that part I'll give it five stars for simplicity.
Setting up the devices was a little more challenging. You must either download the android/ios app or there is one available for PCs. You add the devices, which is pretty straight forward. I did have some issues as my TV model was not listed. The suggested device only had two HDMI ports, which you don't find out until you go to set up actions.
So I use the built in actions to set up 'Watch TV'. TV comes on, sound bar comes on, Roku is a no-show. Remote will not control it. The phone app will, but I didn't spend $70 to use my phone. So I then tried using the built-in 'Watch DVD' action. Worked flawlessly. So back to 'Watch TV'. Adjusted everything that seemed to make sense. Spent an hour looking for a solution on the Logitech site. Nothing.
Decided to fix the TV model issue so I could have all my HDMI ports. Deleted the TV from the app, so I get a message that all of the actions have no default display device. No worries, right? Add the TV back in with a different related model and Voila! all of the ports are there.
Go back to actions and figure I'll just add the TV back to the actions. Umm, no. Could not find a way to just add a device to the action. So delete the actions and start all over. As I'm trying to create a new 'Watch Roku' action keep getting an error that it already exists. What? So sure enough, scroll down far enough and there is a built-in 'Watch Roku'. Use this one and everything works fine.
Basically, it took me around four hours to get everything working like I wanted. That includes setting up IFTTT triggers for turning on an off actions. Could not get the Google Assistant shortcuts to work. She justs tells me she doesn't know how to help with that whenever I try to use them. You can use the "Okay, Google, ask Harmony to <insert whatever>" which does always work but who wants to use a paragraph to pause a movie?
Overall I'm happy with the purchase. It's nice to hit one button on the remote and all the devices for that action come on ready to go. The remote reconfigures itself for the desired action, so no more forgetting to select DVD player when watching a movie. Hub and remote I give five stars. The phone/tablet/PC apps, three stars. Google Assistant intergration, three stars. Using the cool factor gives my overall four stars.

I got this as a Christmas gift and love it. It was very easy to set up, and I have had no issues with it. I have to say that the design of the remote is also sleek and ergonomic, which I prefer to the larger universal remotes out there, and I actually use it more so than a mobile device. Plus, if I lose the remote in my couch (happens more than I'd like to admit) I can use my iPhone or iPad as a remote. Works seamlessly with my LG TV, sound bar, blue ray, and Apple TV.

Although very versatile for the lower end model, I've had to reconfigure the remote several times. The stand alone app works better on its own, but again, I sometimes end up reaching for my pile of native remotes to get my entertainment system configured correctly. Most of the time this remote works great, especially in the beginning, but I find the app much handier. Not even sure if the higher end model with the screen display would work any better.

Best remote ever purchased. I have used every Logitech remote product, all very nice, but this is the best for those with an iPhone. Easy setup, smooth integration. Everyone in my house with an iPhone or iPad can control my theater room system: movies, Cable, radio, etc. It's awesome. Latest technology and uses a free app.

I bought this remote to try to consolidate the 4-5 that I use. It controls my TV, CATV box, Visio soundbar, Blu-ray & Apple TV. It allows me to keep all my components in an enclosed cabinet, out of sight. Just be aware that there are only three “macros”.... one for TV viewing, one for Movie Viewing and one for music(which I set as my Apple TV option). Once programmed via the app on my cell phone (30-40 mins) it has worked seamlessly. It switches inputs on the TV without any issue at all, saving me time hunting around for remotes that my kids misplaced. A good product at a nice price, I didn’t want to spend too much on a remote.

The harmony smart control is an awesome device if you have the patience to set it up properly. For anyone looking to get rid of their remote clutter and have name brand electronics, it could be very easy to setup. However, I wanted this device to do much more than just turning my TV on and off. I wanted it to control LED lights and my computer running XBMC. After spending hours upon hours I was able to do just that. The customization this device can give you is limitless. I also have a VeraLite, which has a plugin that will allow you to control the Harmony Smart Control with your Vera and set up automated scenes. Like if I walk into my house and deactivate the alarm, Vera can tell the Harmony Smart Control to turn on my sound system and put some music on through XBMC on the computer. The capabilities of this device are endless, however it requires lots of trial and error. For the typical user, I feel like the Harmony Smart Control hub may be overkill, but for someone looking to add advanced functionality to their media center devices the Harmony Smart Control is the way to go. I absolutely love this device and would recommend it to anyone. For anyone interested in full review and how to integrate it into a home theater PC/Vera subscribe to QwertyTech on youtube for tutorials. I will post some videos there in a few weeks.

This product solved my biggest problem with using Amazon Fire, Roku, Apple TV, and etc. That is-- not being able to control the TV at the same time. It took the arduous process of finding the remote and doubling it. Now with a single remote I can control the whole room. It does take a little while to setup, and isn't perfect, but man there's nothing that even comes close to being this good once finally setup.

These remotes have been a lifesaver and very easy to use despite the wonky updated interfaces online to program them. Sometimes the blaster doesn't turn on all components as it should so it would be great if it was more consistent. My wife would give it a 2 for that reason though...

I upgraded to this harmony remote when it came on sale. I used the 650 and 700 models previously and the first thing i noticed in setup was that my configuration was transferred seamlessly from the 650 to the smart controller. I like how the remote can be programmed from the app instead of trying to hook it to the computer to program. One thing I miss from the 650 is the help button that tries to fix the device setup if anything goes wrong when turning on or off. In the smart controller, you have to use the app to fix any startup or shutdown issues, but then again you have less startup or shut down issues with the smart remote.

Logitech is still the king of high end remotes. I easily programmed the remote and hub to tie in my Bluray, Media PC, and Roku with my big screen TV. Then used IFTTT to integrate the Hub with my Amazon Echo. Now I can just say "Alexa, trigger Watch a Movie" or "Turn off TV"
I got a great price on this during the deal-of-the-day sale for $69.

This thing works great. Say goodbye to all of your remotes. I love the ability to use the smartphone, but the remote that comes with it is what sets this apart from all other all-in-one solutions in my opinion. Highly customizable as long as the device is in the database. It will even take custom commands from your other remotes and store them on the harmony, allowing you to program it to the Harmony remote or smartphone app. Never crashes.

The Logitech Harmony Hub is great for small setups over IR or IP. This specific one can only control 8 devices at maximum. It's very easy to set up small macros and activities. It's also compatible with Amazon's Alexa, so it's possible for voice control of your whole system!

Like the ability to consolidate remotes for various devices. Currently using in living room with Samsung tv, directv dvr, sonos playbar/sub, firestick and chromecast. Ability to use voice commands with ifttt and phone is nice but limited. Would work better with Alexander or Google home but that's a limitation of google assistant on phone currently. Working well so far but lost some functions that I regularly use on directv remote like 30 second skip. Will have to find a button to program that feature.

Was looking for a remote that would operate all of my home theater equipment, including a PS3 which I only use for playing blue rays and dvd's. This remote system fit the bill. Took a little while to set up, but all of these smart remotes do. It works great! Whatever device I want to use with the tv, it turns on just what I have programmed into it at the touch of a button. Even the ps3 only needs this remote unless you are gaming of course.

The directions for setting up the remote were not very helpful. Eventually I did get all my devices set up and working correctly. I love that it works with Alexa. I can never remember the channel numbers so once I set them up on Alexa I have her change the channel for me.

A few points. 1) it was easy to setup and connect to both alexa and Google home. 2) the RF remote is much better than my harmony one remote. I love the harmony one but he rest of family forgets that you have to keep pointing it at the devices. 3) convenience factor with voice commands is a huge plus. We have 22month old and morning routine is watch mickey mouse on TV while drinking milk and changing. Being able to turn on and off hands free, or when in a rush and can't find remote, is awesome. 4) can program to have a specific channel tuned in when turning on TV, ours is set to Disney channel.
Notes: the phone app is ok but not better than remote or voice commands via alexa or Google home. The standard remote is small and didn't think I would like it compared to the harmony one I was using for 6+ years, but not bad and my harmony one setup transferred over to the new remote almost exactly.

I've had several different Logitech universal remotes over the years, and have always been impressed by how well they work.
The IR blaster does a good job of activating all my devices, even if they're not in a direct line of sight.
I'm less happy with the enclosed remote. It's lacking certain dedicated buttons, and doesn't have many programable ones. There's also not a "Help" button to troubleshoot the situation when something doesn't turn on or have the right settings.
The app for the iPhone works well. There are all kinds of gestures that I haven't learned yet, so not sure how much I'd like using it. It does burn the battery on the phone pretty quickly when it's left open

The hub is relatively easy to install and pair with Logitech remote controllers. Connecting with Amazon’s Alexa is somewhat more involved, it could be simplified. Until recently Alexa commands were very few, essentially just turning devices on and off, but, now compatible devices such as smart TVs have additional voice controls such as volume and channel changing.
The Smart remote, though handy, has limited capabilities for controlling cable boxes since it does not seem to be able to bring up and navigate through the side panel guide that appears when the right pointing arrow is pressed on the original cable box remote.
