Not Compatible With Most TVs or Apps

There are a myriad of wireless keyboards & keyboard remotes on the market. What (I thought) set the Logitec K600 apart is that the company has taken the time to configure the keyboard specifically for each compatible device. Sadly, the K600 has an extremely short list of compatible devices and even if the keyboard is designed for your TV, it does not work across all apps (such as YouTube).
...As a matter of fact, the odds are overwhelmingly against most customers. If you do not own an LG OLED, Samsung, Sony Bravia, or Phillips TV don't bother buying. Even if you do own one of the brands mentioned, it still might not be compatible.
*****CHECK COMPATIBILITY BEFORE YOU BUY*****
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/promo/k600-tv/smart-tv-compatibility-checker.html
The keyboard is easy to set up, is light, easy to manipulate in your hands, and is great for web browsing / navigation. But, because it is not compatible with all of the Apps on each TV, it is only useful a small minority of the time. Unless you do a lot of web-browsing on your Television, I simply can't recommend this keyboard. Frequently I would run into apps (such as YouTube) that would not accept text input - which is the whole point of the keyboard!
This keyboard is best suited for those who have a computer hooked up to their main television (as it allows you to use the same keyboard as you switch back & forth between TV/Computer functions). But this customer type are few in number. And, the number of this small population who also has one of the compatible TVs is even smaller.
Unfortunately this keyboard just won’t work for most people and when it is compatible, it only works a small fraction of the time text input is needed. Until this keyboard costs less and also works for more brands and across all apps – I simply cannot recommend it.
Pros:
+ Battery life (2 x AAA) is listed at 12 months.
+ The wireless range is excellent (works at up to 49 feet from the USB receiver)
+ The USB Receiver fits in the battery compartment (so that it does not get lost in travel).
+ They keyboard is light enough to hold in one hand.
+ The track pad reads multi-touch gestures making directional navigation simple.
+ The track pad (sometimes) allows you to pinch to zoom
+ Includes directional keys (d-pad) that are easy to reach & work well
+ Keys type quietly but have a pleasant physical feel
+ The Keyboard can be paired to 3 devices and switching between devices is quick & simple
+ Set-up is quick, simple, and ensures keys work well for the specific TV model you have (if compatible)
+ Can be used to control Media (Pause/Play, Rewind/Fast Forward, etc)
+ Custom shortcuts can be set up for PC & Mac users
Cons:
- The keyboard is not compatible with most TV brands / models.
- The keyboard does not allow text input within all apps. Specifically frustrating is that it does not currently allow you to type within YouTube.
- Promotional materials state that turning the keyboard upside down locks the keypad (so that kids don't type and interrupt your viewing). This function does not work at all.
- The keyboard is slick on the bottom and will slide around your lap unless it happens to be resting perfectly flat (not always convenient when you are on a couch watching TV). The rubber feet run horizontal and work well on a table, but not well on your lap.
- The current price (across all stores / websites is too high.
- Size: While it is a great size for a keyboard, it is quite large for a remote that frequently is not able to input text into Smart TV apps.

I like this keyboard because it can connect natively to a Samsung smart tv. It can also connect to two additional bluetooth enabled devices. I use it for my tv, iPad and desktop computer. The downside is that the keys are not backlit so you may need a little light in order to use it efficiently.

Awesome For Select Smart TVs And My Mobile Phone

Was very curious about reviewing this complimentary Logitech TV K600 Wireless Keyboard because it enhances compatible Smart TVs, and, its possible use to replace Qwerty keyboard on my Smart Phone. After three weeks of daily use here is what I like about the K600:
* Easy To Set-Up – I simply plugged-in the included dongle/receiver, to my compatible, USB 2.0, Smart TV port. Then, I followed the on-line instructions on my Smart TV to connect to my Wi-Fi home network. This K600 features dual connectivity so it can also be connected to your Smart TV, featuring Bluetooth, through low-energy BT connection.
* Keyboard – Merges my TV remote with a dedicated keyboard designed to improve and expand the operations of my Smart TV. Lets me effortlessly move through menus, scroll through pages, and enter Internet Addys, texts, e-mails, or messages with speed as against just using the slow remote by itself. This is a full-sized keyboard, which features rounded, silent keys instead of the square-shaped, keys like a standard PC keyboard. They are very soothing to my fingers while I type. The keyboard is approximately 14 ½ inches long, by 4 ¾ wide, and ¾ inches thick. It weighs approximately 1 pound and two ounces, so it is pretty lightweight and thin too. Also, the keyboard has a built-in, tilted angle, approximately 15 degrees, which makes typing much more comfortable for me, even when the keyboard is on my lap. It has four rounded non-slip pads to keep the keyboard from sliding off my lap or any flat surface I put it on.
* Keyboard Features – After I connected my keyboard to my home network, I also connected my Apple SE Smart phone to one of the BT, Switchable Keys at the top of the keyboard through Bluetooth. This allowed me to take advantage of using a full-sized keyboard instead of the super-small, IOS, Qwerty, on-board, touch-keyboard. WooHoo! My fingers are big and the SE screen is small – bad combination for any typing. So, I avoided sending text messages, e-mails, and, always used Siri when I could. Now, while I am at home this is no longer a problem. This keyboard has become my SE phone's best friend. You can BT pair up to three devices, PC, Tablet, or Phone, (IOS or Android, and assign them an Easy-Switch key, 1-3) and switch at any time just by depressing that key. There are four 'Media' keys to the left of this keyboard, which perform actions your remote does. And, six 'Media' keys at the the top right, which control volume, mute, increase/decrease, forward, backward, or stop videos. There are also two keys at the top of the keyboard to increase/decrease brightness.
* Bluetooth Pairing For Multi-Device Control – I BT paired my I-Phone to this keyboard easily by depressing one of the three Switchable Keys (#1) for three seconds. The LED on the (#1) key blinks rapidly to indicate it’s in pairing mode. On my I-Phone I selected the K600 TV keyboard from the available BT list. My I-Phone received a six-digit code, which I entered to confirm the pairing. I then optimized the keyboard for my I-Phone by pressing FN + the number for my IOS device (#9). There are seven OS you can choose from. I can pair two other devices besides my mobile phone using the same scenario, but depressing different switchable keys (#2 & 3).
* D Pad – Another navigation tool, which allows me to move my cursor quickly (Up, Down, Left, or Right) through choices at the main home screen menu or any other screen display.
* Long Battery Life – Up to one year using only two AAA batteries (Included).
* Features Of My Smart TV Enhanced – I can now receive and compose e-mails promptly using this K600 keyboard on my smart TV. I can browse the Internet quickly and smoothly, which was always too slow and unthinkable using my remote by itself. I can navigate through choices of movies, TV shows, and, or videos and do searches for programs or movies with speed and ease.
* Precision Touchpad – Allows me to navigate freely and quickly through menus, Apps, pages, while browsing the Internet, and, or searching for movies or programs. I can configure this generously-sized touchpad for either left or right 'click' buttons. Definitely a must-have compared to clicking the remote to do the same thing. YooHoo!*
Wish It Had:
* Backlighting – It would be easier to operate this keyboard with some sort of illuminated keys at night. During the daytime the lights are dimmed down in my living room, and, or bedroom, which strains my eyes operating this keyboard. Even if it had an all white or black body with luminous letters – it would be superior to the all black body with white lettering and no illumination.
* A comprehensive 'Users Manual', would have been nice, especially, since I had to spend so much time learning the various operations of this keyboard through trial and error. I would advise to go to the Logitech website for more detailed information under FAQ.
I found that I use this keyboard as much sending texts, e-mails, and messages on my Smart Phone at home as I do using it on my Smart TV. This certainly is an added plus for me and pleasant surprise. I highly recommend the purchase of this Logitech TV K600 Wireless Keyboard if you really want to enhance and take advantage of the resources on your Smart TV, PC, and, or mobile phone. I would give this keyboard 5 stars if it had backlighting. I tend to use this keyboard in my living room and bedroom, where the lighting is mostly subdued, making this keyboard a challenge to operate. If you have a late model Fire-TV this is an outstanding accessory. But, please make sure your TV model is compatible with the K600 before you purchase it. It is FUN to use, much more comprehensive, then the TV's remote.

Makes your Smart TV Smarter

This keyboard is certainly designed with the Smart TV at heart. The keyboard is small and compact, to be able easily put away in your living room, but is very heavy - heavy in a good way, it is not going to slide around your lap or end table while trying to use it, or snap the first time it slides off the couch. The keys are comfortable to the touch and have the right push back for a good responsive feel.
The side track pad for moving a mouse cursor is a nice feature. I was not sure how it would work with my Smart TV as it did not have a mouse cursor before, but it essentially made my TV mouse capable. I can use the trackpad to move a pointer and click on an app on the screen launching the app I selected.
It was super easy to setup - just unboxed it, went to my smart tv to pair a bluetooth device, entered the code and good to go. It was really nice being able to interact with the apps that needed key entry, like searching for a movie, or logging into an app with a long password, and not having to navigate with the traditional remote. After entering in the code for my tv that you can get right from logitech’s website, the nicely placed navigational keys along the side of the keyboard worked, allowing me to have full control over the TV, and its applications - including the home and search buttons.
This keyboard really unlocks a level of function on your smart TV - that just was not really feasible before. The convenience of being able to quickly type in movie names, passwords, and the like is great, but now being able to use things like a browser has added great value.
If you are interested in a BT keyboard for your smart tv, this is second to none -- but do be sure to make sure that your model will work. I did not try to pair it with a non supported TV, but based upon how it interacts with mine, things like the track pad, and side keys are likely to have mixed to no results. You can check right on Logitech’s website, or of course ask your local Best Buy service team to verify!

I'll admit I didn't quite know what to expect from a TV Keyboard - but this Logitech K600 surprised me! First thing I did was plug it into a Windows 10 PC - and it IMMEDIATELY worked flawlessly - and I'm talking all functions and buttons. Things like the Home key opened a browser, start button work as expected, left and right mouse click buttons, windows tabs, etc!
Next was trying it on the TV. Please note that you likely need a TV made in approx 2016 or newer for all keys to function correctly. I suggest checking on the Logitech site first: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/promo/k600-tv/smart-tv-compatibility-checker.html
The first TV I tried was a Samsung a bit too old, yet many of the functions worked with it anywa - like changing channel, volume, menus, etc.
The beauty of this is that it allows you to much more easily type in search phrases, access URLs through your smart-tv browser or even your firestick, chromecast stick, etc. It has a built-in touch pad and a D-Pad (with directional arrows and a center click button) for multiple was of easy navigation.
The K600 has 3 device connection buttion, labels 1, 2 and 3. So - connect your basement TV, your living room TV and a PC and switch between them! Can't get more simple than that (of course you have to move the Unifying receiver, or have more than one, or use Bluetooth) if you have multiple devices.
So - are you a TV or NetFlix junkie that is tired of using the one-letter-at-a-time search function? If so - you'll appreciate the ease of use and features of the Logitech K600 TV Keyboard!

If you want specs, look elsewhere. I don't like reviews that do nothing more than regurgitate specs back at me that I can easily find in the tab up above that shares the same name. So, I do my best to avoid putting that nonsense in my own reviews.
With that out of the way, I will say that the K600 is awesome. Whether used via simple bluetooth connection (or if you're lucky enough) to a TV that supports the included dongle and recognizes it via the setup process. Lucky for me, I have a Samsung and an LG, both of which are on the supported list (they need to be a newer model, pretty sure it's anything 2015 and older aren't directly supported). This lack of extra out of the box/non-bluetooth support is 1/2 star off.
The touchpad tracking is precise and works great for getting from one menu to the next. The shortcut keys are exactly where you want them; out of the way so you don't hit them inadvertently, but not a chore to get to when you *do* need them. Having the "fn" keys is great for doubling up on commands without having to bloat the surface with a whole new set of keys. Just one extra button to initiate the "fn" functionality and you're good to go.
The device itself feels extremely solid and doesn't have anything drastically hanging off of it or jutting out to get snagged on anything causing it to break...or to rip anything (think a blanket on the couch, or pulling it in/out of a backpack/handbag). The ONE thing I would change would be back-lighting. At night it is a little difficult to see what it what until you get used to the button layout. This is 1/2-star off.
The only con I could really find was when attempting to setup bluetooth the process asks you to long-press "one of the quick keys" to get the rapid blinking that is usually associated with bluetooth connectivity. This is worded in a way that makes you think there are more than one. So, I was looking for a grouping of keys or something, but long-pressing anything like this did nothing. Finally I noticed that the "F3" key had the little light on it letting you know the device was on and/or you were hitting a key. So, I figured I'd give that a long-press and see what happened. It started the rapid blinking and that was that, the K600 showed up on my phone's bluetooth list and away we went.
The K600 worked just as great on all the mobile devices I connected it to, and was a welcome addition for my wife's thumbs the week that she used it during meetings while on the road. Usually she keeps notes in her Google Notes app. The compact size of the K600 allowed her to throw it in her carry-on and also handbag for her conferences that week. She still took her laptop with her not knowing if the K600 was going to be enough, but in hindsight she stated; "I didn't even need to use my laptop. I could've just left it at home and used my phone and the keyboard" (K600)...
I will also add that our daughter has more and more homework that is web-based. She has long since used a laptop for this sort of thing. I let her use the K600 on and off at her leisure through her phone and she said that while she enjoyed the larger screen size her laptop provided, that if she were in a pinch and really *had* to knock an assignment out quickly that the K600 definitely helped speed up the process. And, that it's size made it very easy to haul around and use without being a burden (she took it to school a few times, as well).
So, if you are someone that merely uses a laptop or similar due to having more real estate when it comes to typing or note taking while on the go, the price difference between the K600 coupled with your mobile device is MASSIVE compared to a tablet/chromebook/laptop/etc etc
I would give this a 5-star review but, the lack of out of the box/non-bluetooth support for a wider range of items and the absence of back-lit keys brings the K600 down to a very strong-4.

There's always been something insane about typing into a standard TV remote control- it's worse than the pre-qwerty keyboard days of smartphones. The Logitech K600 wireless keyboard solves the problem and does so nicely.
It's easy to set-up. I paired it with a recent model (2017) Samsung in minutes. The keyboard is light, with just the right amount of weight to feel of good quality. There are not sharp edges, so it sits nicely in your hands or lap.
I liked the shortcut keys as well as the touch pad. It just made everything about typing and moving around a TV screen so much more enjoyable.

As someone who works remotely a lot and has a laptop as a primary computer, I take a lot of pride in the accessories I choose. At home, I have a workstation that includes a keyboard, mouse, and secondary monitor, but when I’m on the go, I usually just take my laptop. It would be nice to have the flexibility of a small, wireless keyboard, but I have a lot of trouble finding a keyboard that is easily transportable and that I like typing on. I finally found that with the Logitech K600 TV Keyboard.
This keyboard is primarily designed for people who need a Bluetooth keyboard to work with their smart TVs and streaming devices like Apple TV. That said, it is a Bluetooth keyboard so any input device that is compatible with Bluetooth connections can use it. The K600 has a built-in touchpad and D-pad so that you can maneuver the cursor on your screen without needing an external mouse. If you are like me though and decided to use the keyboard with a set-up that already has a mouse added on, the K600 will still work just fine with that system.
The keyboard has a standard layout without the 10-key number pad. The keys are rounded, which can throw you off if you aren’t used to it, but they are spaced out well enough that it feels natural. I had a mechanical keyboard at one point that had round keys and it was dreadful to type on. It just wasn’t easy to get used to. I didn’t find that to be the same case for this keyboard. I started using it and the soft feedback from the keys made it very easy to work with.
The K600 has an impressive 49-foot range. (I tested this Ange by typing this sentence from the other end of our house.) I left my laptop in our home office located on the front side of our house and walked to our living room which is at the back of the house. I left the sentence exactly as it was captured from my keystrokes. It was supposed to read, “I tested this range by typing this sentence from the other end of our house.” It looks as though only one keystroke was missed. I even made a mistake toward the end of the sentence and the keyboard was able to transmit the correction properly. The distance from where my computer was sitting and to where I typed the message was probably about 35 feet, but there were several walls in between the two devices so I am very impressed by the performance of the keyboard at that distance.
In addition to my laptop, I connected the keyboard to our LG Smart TV. It’s important to note here that the LG Smart TV is not Bluetooth compatible. So, you will have to plug in the provided USB dongle in order to connect the keyboard to the TV. I was able to switch back and forth between the two connected devices in the room with no issues. I was actually quite surprised at how seamless the process of swapping the connection was. I would tap the #1 function button to connect to my laptop and the #2 function button to access the TV. Navigation with the smart TV was easy and the only thing I really couldn’t adjust was powering the TV off and on. I still needed the remote for that.
The only downside to this keyboard is that it’s not rechargeable. It uses 2 AAA batteries for power. There is a on/off switch on the top right hand corner of the keyboard and I would recommend when it’s not in use that you switch it off to conserve battery power. Since I’ve only been using the keyboard for a short time, I can’t comment on how long the AAA batteries will last but so far, I’ve not noticed any connection issues due to power loss.
Bluetooth keyboards can be very hit and miss these days. Sometimes they are difficult to connect to devices, not have a great distance, or only be able to connect to a single device at a time. The Logitech K600 is a fantastic example of what you hope a Bluetooth keyboard should be. It connects to devices quickly and easily and it’s very easy to type on. I really enjoy using it with my laptop and love that I can switch back and forth between the TV and the computer when I need to. This is a great keyboard and a wonderful companion for any Bluetooth compatible device.

BACKGROUND: I had multiple Apple TVs in my house, but realized I had a lot of movies, music, and pictures I wanted to be able to access. There was no easy solution using an AppleTV, so I switched out one of the AppleTVs with a Mac Mini I wasn't using. This also allowed the AppleTVs to access the content.
PROBLEM: I was forced to use a traditional Keyboard and mouse on the Mac mini. Using the mouse and keyboard was cumbersome and required a flat surface and a lot of space.
SOLUTION: I saw this while browsing the BB site and gave it a try. The reduced the need for multiple control devices reducing the awkwardness. It made it so I only needed one control device.
PROS: This combo keyboard is very light--not heavy at all. I can use it on my lap. The trackpad allows you to move the cursor around screen and has left and right mouse keys. The keyboard is also programmable which will help tailor to your specific needs. It was easy to setup and install the software which you don't necessarily need. It doesn't seem to require a lot of power. The batteries seem to be long lasting. It works well under the MacOS and should work on other OSes as well.
CONS: The only issue I have is that some odd sites like Hulu have areas that don't scroll well and it can be hard to navigate them. Actually, Hulu is the only one that currently is a big problem. Supposedly, Hulu will be updating its interface and this may no longer be a problem.
ALSO: I do wish it had IR blaster capabilities.

I recently purchased this keyboard for the PC that is connected to the TV. The keyboard has a nice tactile feedback and the keyboard is small enough to be placed inside of my entertainment center.
Adding the menu buttons on the left side of the keyboard is a nice feature, have found that I can use the trackpad with my right hand and select the left and right mouse button keys from the menu on the left side. In the attached photo, am pointing to the left and right mouse buttons...
Installation was simple: plug and play, (there are only 3 steps).

I have tried many wireless portable keyboards for TV viewing, but this device is a total winner for me. The biggest average of this keyboard is the touch pad substitute for the mouse. Mouse issues has dogged me since interactive TV’s came out and the K600 has solved that. Another thing that I like is the keyboard has some weight to it which keeps it steady on my lap and keeps if from flipping and sliding around. An additional design feature I like is the top of the keyboard is very slightly cupped in the body. This shape allows you to pick up the keyboard with two hands with your thumbs resting on the edges of the device without depressing random keys and driving commands on the TV screen crazy with goofing letters and such. A perfect TV keyboard.

I really like being able to switch between the Windows computer attached to my Samsung smart TV and the Bluetooth on the TV itself. (If you're using the included wireless dongle with a computer, set it up first on position 1 of the keyboard, then use the other two positions for Bluetooth.) There is also a third position for another Bluetooth device. The keyboard works fine on the TV browser, but some major apps like YouTube and Amazon Prime don't accept text input from it, which is a disappointment (4 1/2 stars?). I think Netflix does, though, which is good. My understanding is that the fault there lies with what the apps allow from their end, not the keyboard.
I do not like the feel of the keys as well as the ones on my main desktop computer (elsewhere), but it is a delight not to have to have two keyboards and a mouse for my entertainment computer/TV setup. The track pad eliminates the need for a mouse - yay - and can be used for navigation even on apps that don't accept keyboard text. If you are picky about app compatibility, Logitech has that info on its website.
Note: Being only somewhat tech-savvy, I had to spend some time on YouTube to find out how to set it up and do its tricks, but it turned out to be straightforward and I love the keyboard. It is compact, convenient, and a great improvement over using the regular remote.

Love this keyboard! It's full-sized, easy to type on, lightweight so it transports easily, & connects to Bluetooth with ease. Easy to turn on & off.
I didn't personally need the mouse function because I use this with my tablet, it's not the best mouse because the mouse buttons are on the opposite side of the keyboard from the scroller, but it works fine if you don't need it constantly.

I would give 5 stars but I wish the keyboard was illuminated. I love having the clickable touchpad along with the shortcut buttons on the left side. I wish there was more programability inside my Android device. The left click works the same as the right click. I am trying to get use to my fingers going on in the right place without looking. The keys have a nice tight feel. The size is extremely nice as well because I can grab it with one hand from top and thumb on the bottom. It switches very quickly also. I got it for my Samsung Note 9 to use Dex on the TV screen along with use on my other devices. Nearly perfect.

Unlock your TVs browser. The standard remote is next to worthless, but this wireless keyboard is great. Scroll with precision, type in the search bar, and cursor around with ease with the touchpad. Change/mute volume, access Home, there's very little this keyboard cannot do, compared to the remote. With many channels fleeing the 'standard' platforms for their own Websites, this is pretty much a necessity nowadays. The 2 included alkaline AAAs are going strong after 3 weeks. When they die, I'll use rechargeables.
For me, this has been an excellent purchase.

Great Living Room Keyboard

The Logitech K600 TV Keyboard is a great keyboard for a living room setting with only 2 flaws that I've found so far which knock it down to 4 stars.
First, the lack of backlighting on the keyboard is puzzling. If ever there was a need for it, it's in a living room setting where it's likely that the lighting is dimmed or off. The second issue, which may be user error on my part, is that it appears not to be compatible with the XBox One X connected via Bluetooth, which is also surprising since it works with Windows 10 via Bluetooth. I've tried numerous methods to connect the K600 to my Xbox with no luck so far. If I manage to figure it out, I'll update this review.
Setting up and pairing the K600 to my Samsung TV (via usb dongle) and Nvidia Shield (bluetooth) was quick and painless. Once setup, I was able to use most features of the keyboard as designed with no trouble. The fast switching between control of my devices is a great feature. The K600 can control 3 devices at a time, switching between devices with a simple button press.
However, be warned that not all features of the keyboard work in all applications. For the most part, I was able to use the keyboard as intended with only minor exceptions that can hopefully be addressed via a software update down the road. In addition, only a small number of televisions are currently compatible so be sure to check for compatibility prior to purchasing. I have a recent Samsung TV and it works perfectly, however that is not the case with older televisions.
All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase. While I don't intend to use it as a primary input device, it will be nice to have the versatility of it when the need arises. It's likely not necessary for most users but, if like me, you enjoy to have the "extra" add-on's to squeeze every last bit functionality out of your devices, then you will not be disappointed with the Logitech K600 TV Keyboard.
I would recommend this to a friend

After purchasing a Samsung MU6300 Smart TV, I found one can surf the web on it and interact with certain apps on the TV which is nicer(at times) than watching on my laptop. However, using the remote that comes with the TV to type in long web addresses in the browser to is very "laborious."
You can't use just ANY bluetooth keyboard with this TV and the K600 is the only one I could find that did work.
Now the keyboard works fully with some apps but not with all the apps. The YouTube app is one app that the keyboard does not allow me to type in what I'm looking for. BUT, if I use the browser and go to youtube.com, I can use the keyboard to access videos at youtube.
Before buying it, I would recommend you:
1) Go to logitech.com to see that the k600 is compatible with your TV
2) Search there to see if the apps you plan to use it for is 'fully" compatible. In some apps you can type in information from the keyboard to the app and some apps you can't.
Again, before buying, it is worth you time to know what apps it fully works with and those it might not!!! Be a fully informed consumer before buying it.
I don't use the keyboard very often but it is nice to have for the few times I do use it. I didn't want to pay the full price of $69.99 so I waited and waited until it was on sale for 59.99. If I waited even longer it probably would have been even cheaper but there was no way of knowing when that was.
The keyboard was easy to set up to set up but be prepared to be disappointed to find out that the keyboard may not be able to interact fully with your favorite apps.
