So Many Options In One Light

I knew very little about this product beforehand. Did some digging after laying eyes on it and it was everything I needed in one package. You have multiple mounting options, a sturdy base that doesn't take much room, it can be extended higher, and has user-friendly software to control the lighting temp and brightness as well as previewing your camera feed. It also has Bluetooth options which I haven't used yet, but I'm happy with my wired setup and it practically solved all of my problems. You may have to mind how you power your light because the ability to achieve full brightness requires 5V 1.4A power source. That said, the PC USB should be good enough. Definitely worth the purchase for a streaming setup.

It’s definitely meeting my needs for lighting in my home office. It provides perfect lighting for video conferencing. The app allows various themes that it applies based on what you need or want. I mostly use Logitech for my devices - keyboard, mouse, camera etc so this works well with each. You can set it to activate the light when your camera is activated and that is super nice. You’re able to control manually on the light or through the app as well. 2 minor things I rated lower for - the app is good but not very user friendly or explanatory and Logitech has some work to do with their products being able to be “linked”. Multiple USB ports are needed. 1 port for each item! They offer prods that can link but most of mine are not linkable (and I don’t have outdated devices). Otherwise it is adjustable height and direction and the stand doesn’t take too much space.

Great versatile light. You have 3 different locations to attach the light to the stand, paired with several pivot points to direct light pretty much anywhere. That, and a nice build quality on the stand itself. It’s very minimal, and while rigid plastic, looks and feels more like anodized aluminum. It’s sturdy and has some added weight the the base. The light bar itself is also nicely made, buttons fairly easy to feel for and plenty bright. Speaking of bright, Logitech didn’t skimp on the driver. It has no flickering or sync issues when on camera and smoothly moves between cool to warm whites and different brightnesses, just as promised. The entire front diffuser provides good soft light, similar to a soft box. It’s great for quality front lighting during streams or video calls. While the light provides versatility in mounting, it's not without a few small caveats: - First, the cable is directly attached to the light bar, but is routed along the back of the stand through a variety of clipping and bypass points, available for use when needed. While you can easily adjust he light post up and down for height, I found this routing to snag or prevent movement based on how you managed the cable. For instance, I first wrapped the excess cable in the base of the stand, but that fully prevented me from raising the height of the bar. I gave up on using that and just routed the cable directly through the slot/notch at the bottom (without coiling) to get around it. - Second, the screw mount makes for an easy way to mount the light in three orientations, but if you adjust the light often, this can loosen. I found myself occasionally spinning the light bar 360 degrees around to get it securely tightened onto the threading again (you’re working against a pivot that that allows rotation in either direction, but with greater friction.) Without something like a set screw, this makes for some finicky moments. But for the vast majority of time, you probably won’t be re-adjusting this light. I imagine many people will simply set it up in a way that works for them once, and hardly feel the need to change it again. Software: Logitech also provides their G Hub software to let you control the light, color temperatures, and intensity from the desktop app and hot keys on your keyboard. Very nice in day-to-day use, and prevents you from having to feel for the buttons on the back of the device. They also provide a preview from your computer’s camera feed, so you can adjust the lighting and see yourself just as others will - this is both smart, and helpful. Thumb’s up. All in all, this light makes for a good addition to my desk setup. It can hide discretely behind, or to the side of your monitor without feeling in the way, thanks to its minimal design. Go for it!

The Logitech Litra Beam is an outstanding key light which will greatly enhance the quality of your streaming videos and zoom calls. It could also be used as a desk lamp, photo light source or accent light. The stand is very sturdy and it can be positioned in a variety of ways with great height adjustment range. My opinion on this streaming key light may be a bit biased because I just love Logitech products – they are always well engineered, are packed with great features and have always given me long and very reliable service. Logitech was founded in Apples, Switzerland in 1981. Its first product was a computer mouse in 1982 that was adopted by several computer manufacturers (including Apple.) Later it was the first company to offer a replacement mouse to the consumer market. Logitech introduced wireless mice, optical mice and trackballs. By 2008 Logitech had produced over one billion mice. The Logitech mouse was followed by a wide variety of high quality products including a handheld scanner, keyboards, a digital camera, webcams, speakers and microphones. It acquired Harmony, the industry standard for programmable multi-equipment remote control devices, in 2004, then purchased Ultimate Ears, a creator of outstanding Bluetooth speakers, in 2008, bought Jaybird, a premier manufacturer of very fine Bluetooth earphones, in 2016 and most recently, acquired Astro Gaming in 2017. Here are the key features of this great light source: • Logitech Litra Beam Streaming Key Light (Model VR0031) • TrueSoft technology provides balanced, full-spectrum LED light • Cinematic color accuracy for pro-level streaming • Color Rendering Index: 93 (Excellent!) • Five brightness levels • Five color temperature settings (2700 K to 6500 K) • Two pairs of buttons on lamp select brightness level and color temperature • On/off button on lamp • Logitech G-Hub app can be used to control lighting • Bluetooth connectivity • Ergonomic design allows multiple placements of base (left, right, center) • UL tested for safety, approved for all-day streaming • 6.5 foot USB-A to USB-C power cable • Power input: 5 volt, 1.4 amp converter or USB 3.1 2e port for maximum brightness • Light output: 7 watt (320 lumen) from 24 LED sources • Frameless diffuser eliminates shadows, provides even illumination • Dimensions: 17 inches Wide, 15 inches to 25 inches Height, 6 inch diameter round base • Weight: 2 pounds, 6 ounces • One year warranty Assembly of the Litra Beam is effortless and foolproof. No tools are required – the three pieces (base, support and light bar) screw together by hand. The support bar is shaped so that it can go into the weighted base in only one way and the attachment to the base is very secure. The light bar has three possible attachment points which give you great flexibility in the shape of the complete unit. And Logitech has incorporated “infinity screws” which allow you to tighten the light bar to the support without fear of stripping the threads. The support bar can be raised from its fully-closed height of 15 inches to a maximum of 25 inches. The top of the support bar pivots and rotates, allowing you to point the light bar in any direction. The USB power cable clips to the light bar, the support bar and the base, keeping it out of the way. If you want to take the Litra Beam on the road, it disassembles easily and becomes very compact. All-in-all, a very solid design and the matte-black finish is very elegant. Typical outstanding Logitech engineering! Logitech designed the Litra Beam with beautiful ergonomic details which allow you to configure it in multiple positions to assure that it provides optimum lighting on your face during streaming sessions. The light bar has three attachment points, two at the center and one on the side. The stand extends in height from 15 inches to 25 inches, thereby capturing the likely range needed around your laptop or desktop webcam. The weighted stand insures that the light assembly will not wobble, no matter how the light bar is positioned. Operation of the Litra Beam is very simple. Position the light bar to give illumination where needed. Plug the USB-C to USB-A power cord into a USB 3.1 e2 port or a 1.4 amp 5 volt transformer. Press the on/off button on the light bar, adjust the brightness level with a set of buttons on the light bar and adjust the color temperature of the light with another set of buttons on the light bar. If you prefer, you can use the free Logitech G-Hub app to control the Litra Beam. That software can connect to the Litra Beam via Bluetooth. It is available for both PC and smartphone installations. The G-Hub can adjust the light level in 1% increments and the color temperature by Kelvin degrees. You can also save your settings as preset values. The quality of the light produced by the Litra Beam is unsurpassed. It has a Color Rendering Index of 93 which is extremely high even for devices costing far more. The positioning flexibility of the light bar, coupled with the superb frameless diffuser, allows you to create nearly perfect lighting for your videos and Zoom calls. You can enhance your appearance further by adjusting the color temperature of the light across a range from 2700 degrees Kelvin (candlelight) to 6500 degrees Kelvin (bright sunlight.) The light is particularly effective in creating natural skin tones in video streaming. This is the most difficult task for LEDs and Logitech has really mastered this challenge. The Litra Beam also functions very well as a photo light source. I used it in some still photography and was very pleased with the results. But beyond the primary use as a key light, the Litra Beam is a superb task light. I found that it provided just the right amount of light for my desk when doing non-computer activities. It also can serve very well as an accent lamp in your home and in that role the adjustable brightness and color temperature really served well. One wish I had for the Litra Beam was that the base could serve as a rechargeable power source. Given the modest drain of 7 watts, a built-in battery would give many hours of lighting before needing recharging. Of course, you could add your own battery power (any rechargeable battery with a USB port will work) but it would be nice to have the elegant base add that functionality. I am delighted to give the beautifully engineered Logitech Litra Beam five stars and my full and unreserved recommendation! It is attractively priced and it is an invaluable accessory for everyone who desires a professional appearance in streaming videos and Zoom calls.

Litra - Beam Me Up Scotty!

PROS: As a user of video conferencing I have struggled to find a lighting product that would meet, if not exceed, my requirements. Those being easy to setup, does not produce heat, multiple adjustable positioning, dedicated onboard controls for power, variable color temperature and brightness, with an application that can duplicate the same dedicated controls. This Litra Beam meets my basic requirements as stated above, plus with the ability to setup different selectable presets/profiles depending on my specific needs through the Logitech G-Hub application. SETUP: There is some minor assembly required out of the box. That being, securing the base to the adjustable shaft, and then the beam to the other end of the shaft (3 options here). Next plugging the USB-C into the beam, dress the wiring, plugging the USB-A end into your PC, and you are now “good to go”. The adjustable height, coupled with the numerous beam bar positioning options, should satisfy most all users. Overall I would consider the weighted base stand as medium duty and should hold up for years to come. G-HUB APP: Although not actually required to use the Litra Beam (hey, it just a USB powered light, or so I thought…), I would highly recommend downloading the Logitech G HUB application. Once installed, it will find the Litra and your default camera, update the Litra firmware, provide a demo/tutorial of the unit, and allow you to select any of the six different presets, along with the current Manual setup preset. It will also allow you to create and tweak your own preset(s) if the defaults six do not meet your needs. When connected to my laptop, the Litra Beam will also remember its last setting (you can choose to lock it “persistent” across all profiles). And the Litra Beam will auto power on when my laptop powers up with the G-Hub application running. Nice touch! CONS: The first negative is the inability of the Litra Beam to program automatic power on when using a dedicated USB 5-volt power adapter or auto power on with my laptop when G-Hub is not active. Contacting support I was told it will auto power on without G-Hub, but that is not the case, at least for my laptop. (I am still awaiting answers to my follow up questions.) The second negative is, currently there is no G-HUB application for an Android device if you want to use Bluetooth connectivity to control the Litra Beam outside of your PC. (My phone will find and connect to the Litra Beam through Bluetooth, but without an app, it is useless.) BOTTOM LINE: Overall I am satisfied with the Litra Beam, its G-Hub application, with the ability to position it in numerous ways. And it is a welcomed upgrade from the smaller profile Litra Glow Streaming light, although at a substantial price increase. If it could be programmed to auto power on when using a USB adapter, and have a G-HUB Android application available, I would have rated it a 5.

    The Most Versatile Desk Light

The Logitech Litra Beam Premium LED Streaming Key Light with TrueSoft is the most versatile desk light I have come across to date. The Litra Beam has a super easy setup and like most Logitech products the instructions are printed right on the box with detailed pictures on how to install and set up the light bar. The versatility is that the light can be mounted 3 different ways: horizontal, Vertical with mounting it in the middle of the beam or vertical from the bottom of the beam allowing it to be higher on the stand to cover more of your desk. My personal favorite thing about the Logitech Litra Beam is how its incorporated with Logitech G Hub software, where since I already have the G915 Keyboard and the G 502X mouse, I’m able to button map the controls for the light right from my keyboard, so I don't have to physically press the buttons on the light or open the software to adjust the lights. I mapped on & off along with brighter and dimmer to my G buttons on my keyboard, which is so convenient especially for all the Zoom calls I have throughout the day. The light beam itself gets pretty bright but it keeps saying in the G hub software that my USB port isn't powerful enough when I have it plugged into my motherboards USB 3.2 port and will only get up to 69% of total brightness, which dont get me wrong is plenty bright for my setup, just kind of confusing when the requirements say it only needs USB 3.0. The Lighting software comes with 6 preset colors on the cool to warm range and you can also adjust the temperature on the light with a slider or on the back of the light with the physical buttons. Overall I think this one of the best desk lights on the market if you're a content creator or working from home, and it's even better when you pair it with other Logitech G-Hub products to utilize its full potential.

Sharp Looking with Great Lighting Control

About the Logitech Litra Beam Logitech describes the Litra Beam as a Premium Streaming Key Light. It’s a professional level light that provides full-spectrum LED lighting. It has controls to adjust the color as well as the light intensity which can be done by buttons on the light or in the GHub app. It’s designed to give you customizable lighting so that you can look your best on video. Packaging and Contents The packaging was nice. The box opens like most keyboard style boxes. Inside is a clean presentation of the light bar and the arm. Underneath is the stand base, which was fairly heavy. There’s a roughly 6 foot long USB-A to USB-C cord to plug it in. The instructions are on the inside lid of the box, and are mostly just pictures. The arm is adjustable, so you can raise the light up and down through the arm extension. At the top of the arm there is a tilt function. The light bar can be mounted three different ways to the arm. I preferred the end mount for my setup. The USB cord plugs into the middle part of the back of the light bar and can be run along the built-in cord management system at the backside of the light bar, arm, and base. Setup The setup was pretty easy. It only took a few minutes to have this assembled. Plug the cord into a USB 3.1 gen 2 USB port or supply your own 5V 1.4 amp USB power adapter to plug into the wall. Either way you can use the light by pressing buttons on the back of the light bar. If you plug into your computer you can use the light through the Logitech GHub app (which I recommend). Also, if you do not want to plug directly into your computer there is a feature to connect to your computer through Bluetooth (assuming that your computer has Bluetooth). I tried the Bluetooth connection, and it took just a couple of minutes to connect. With the Bluetooth connection you can also use the app. The App I already had the Logitech GHub app on my computer since I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse. When I plugged the light in the GHub app automatically recognized the light. It noted that there was a firmware update for the Litra Beam, so I started with the firmware upgrade. The firmware updated in less than a minute, and at that point I was set up for use. The next step was to customize use. In the app you can name the light or add additional lights if you’d like to use more than one. The app will give you full control of the light including color temperature, intensity, and even on/off function. Note that this is not a full RBG light as you are working only in the white light spectrum. Also, if you have a Logitech keyboard with G-Key capability you can assign preset G-keys for your light. Build Quality and Appearance The build quality of the Litra Beam is very nice. The base is heavy, and it doesn’t feel like it would fall over. As for appearance, I think that this thing looks sharp. I kind of want a second one for my desk honestly. And maybe one for my wife’s desk too. I am surprised by how much I like it. The light is setup so you can use it as a video streaming light or even a desk lamp. I really like the versatility, and the fact that it’s not a “one-trick pony”. There’s one appearance thing that I would like to see changed. The USB plug sticks straight out of the back of the light bar drawing attention to the cord. If Logitech could find a cleaner way to plug into the light I think that would look better. Other Impressions The cord is attached to the light bar at the top and runs down the back of the arm. This takes up some of the cord length which reduces how far away you can be from the computer if you are directly plugging into the computer. If you are extending the arm out, it takes even more cord length. When using a wall adapter there are similar cord length issues as most wall outlets are down closer to the ground (usually 18 inches off of the floor). The way I got around this is that I have a USB power block that sits on my desktop. This gives me a few more power options and allows for support of short-corded computer accessories. Overall I am giving the Litra Beam 5 stars. I have to admit that I am surprised by how much I like the Litra Beam. It is truly a product that I didn’t know I needed. It looks sharp on my desktop, seems to be of good quality, and controls light effects nicely. I would recommend this product.

Verdict. The best streaming light ever. Period. It surpassed all our expectations for what a streaming and web conferencing light could be. Initial impressions. It’s nicely built and well designed. The actually light piece can be mounted from two positions to maximize flexibility in the setup of the light. Setup. Minimal assembly is required. It took me less than two minutes to put the three pieces together. Then, I plugged the USB cable into my computer, pressed the on button, and it worked! The buttons in the back of the light are very convenient and provide full functionality without having to download the Logitech hub app. However, I highly recommend downloading the app because it takes convenience to another level; no need to standup, reach behind the light, and try to remember which button is which every time you want to make an adjustment. You can turn on the light and make all adjustments from the desktop app… Amazing! Usage. We really needed a light for streaming, web conferencing, and for filming short clips with a smartphone. Until now, we were messing around with desk lamps and room lights to get proper lighting. We probably would have been happy with the Litra Beam light if it just turned on and provide decent lighting. But it actually does so much more: flexible hardware setup, light temperature adjustments, light brightness adjustment, control from the app for convenience, and saving our favorite settings. Hardware. We tried a vertical setup in between two monitors. That setup worked well enough, but it looked like it would be best with one light on each side of the center monitor. Right now we just have one of these lights so we decided to try to set up the light horizontally. However, I was concerned that the light would not be able to clear the 27” monitor. To my amazement, the light can actually extend vertically quite high, and it was able to clear the monitor. We were able to setup our light horizontally just above the webcam of the 27” monitor. It’s awesome. The hardware design offers quite a lot possibilities for installation. App. The app for this light is a game-changer. From the taskbar on my desktop, I can open the Logitech Hub, turn on the light, and activate my saved settings. If the settings are not adequate because of the time of day, I can quickly adjust the light temperature and the brightness while looking at a webcam preview. Well done Logitech! Performance. The lighting we get from the Logitech Litra Beam is fantastic. It’s hard to emphasize enough how important good lighting is for streaming. We can angle the light just right and change the light temperature to get a nice bright, natural, and beautiful look. The light is definitely not too bright either… sometimes after a web conference, I forget to turn off the light and I just keep plugging away on my computer, so clearly, the light is not bothersome. I am not sure how this light does it, but it's able to provide sufficient brightness without being hard or tiring on the eyes. Things I like: - Well-designed hardware to accommodate any setup - Desktop app to turn the light on/off, and adjust temperature and brightness - The desktop app also saves favorite settings - The lighting quality enables very nice results on camera - Quality build; it looks like it will last a long time - It's made for all-day use Things I don’t like: - Nothing… it’s perfect! Overall, I absolutely love this streaming light. In addition to providing lighting, it does everything better in terms of lighting quality, convenience, setup flexibility, saving setup time, and improving results. I most highly recommend the Logitech Litra Beam.

I was excited to get this, as I work 8hr at my computer each day, much of which ends up being meetings. To date, my video quality and image has been subpar, due to the poor lighting in my office. Not anymore! You can tell a lot about a company by how they package their items, Logitech did great here, as it was all well and thoughtfully packaged all. When you grab each piece, you can feel the quality as you put it together. You also get several options for connecting the actual light bar to the stand, which is appreciated, as it adds versatility to be able to adjust on a whim, depending your needs/wants. It can also be run off your PC via USB A connection, and works quite well. If you don't like that, then connecting to an AC adapter is another option. It can work both through the Logitech G Hub app for mobile, or independently via the buttons on the back that control brightness and light temperature. Overall, it is a great addition to my desk, it adds enhanced light to clear my meeting darkness issue, as well as enhancing ambient light for other use.

I've recently started to stream and was looking for something to make my stream a whole lot nicer when I came across the Litra Beam. Out of the box it comes with very simple assembly, it comes in three pieces, the base, stand, and light. The light can be mounted vertically or horizontally which is super convenient for various setups. This light has several different settings to adjust to your setup to allow the perfect set up. Illumination can go from 2700k to 6500k and has 5 different levels of brightness. It goes bright enough that you can even face the light away from you, towards the wall, for a nice soft light. This light is also compatible with the G Hub app which allows to you to swap and adjust settings even easier from the comfort of your home. The light itself is slim enough to fit on larger desks which is great considering the size of most other LED streaming lights. While I didn't get it for remote work, this would also be great for remote workers! TL;DR: The Litra Beam is a fantastic investment for those who want to take their stream to the next level or simply want to light up their desk. It's easy to set up, super adjustable, has various different levels of brightness and color, and is slim enough to fit anywhere.

This light has quite a bit to offer if you are a frequent person of video meetings or streams. It has a wide range of temperatures and brightness, so you can customize the lighting to be exactly as needed. The device has controls on the back to manually operate, but you are much better off using the G-Hub software, as you get a much wider range of controls. I've found the control on the light to be a bit difficult to use, because they are behind the bulb, so you can't see what it is you are pushing. For that reason, plus the customization, I prefer to use the G-Hub software. The light itself generates a substantial amount of heat, so be prepared, especially if you plan to use 2 lights, as you will get hot! My biggest complaint about this device is that you need a powerful USB to push the light to it's full potential. I'm currently using a Surface Book 3, an incredibly powerful business laptop, and my onboard USB-A will not push the light past 84%. If you look at my attached image, you'll see that the restriction zone for my light. If I want to full utilize this light, I'll either need to plug directly into my Surface Dock, or use a desktop. I also would really like to see an option to mount the light on top of my monitor, like you generally see with a web cam. I tried to push this light behind my monitor, but the monitor base prevents me from doing so. So, I either have to detach the light from the stand, and try to balance it on top of my monitor, or use it as a side light option.

Logitech products have worked well for us and this is no exception. Very easy to assemble without tools and use. The cord winds through the base and back out for cord management. Overall, it is an excellent light. A little lightweight and the plastic may not hold up to a tip over. Light quality is excellent and adjustable. The G-Hub app allows more fine tuning. Horizontal worked best for my lighting needs but it is very easy to convert to vertical if that works better. On a conference call I was asked what I did different as everyone could finally see me better. I did toggle through the 5 settings until they said it was the best option. You can find a lot of other uses for this device too. I use it to make mobile bank deposits as my bank never seemed to accept the reverse of the check. With this light on it worked both times I tried it. I also used it to illuminate some objects I was photographing for a better light than the flash – it worked great. I even used it in the kitchen to illuminate written recipe cards that have faded. Very versatile. Highly recommended.

Minor setbacks aren't enough to dim this light

Overall this light is a great addition to my streaming set up. Like most products, there are a few things I didn't like or wish were different, but not enough to make me wish I had something else. I went from using a pretty basic, standard ring light that is really good but didn't have as much ability to change temperature or brightness like the Logitech light does. So I wanted to get a light that has more control AND would take up less space. This light is idea for space saving since it has a lot of ways to position it and with the very heavy sturdy base, it's not going anywhere even at a full extension. Like most people, I found this was best positioned to the side of my monitor and then extending the arm so that the light is above my monitor and camera position. This gives me a nice key light slightly off center but not too high that it becomes a top light. Luckily the light comes with a lot of movable parts to get it in just the right position, but I wouldn't hate one more elbow point to really be able to move the light around. That said though, there's still a lot of customization available. Set up is a breeze, and the packaging is really nice. About 2 minutes after opening I was able to plug in the light, position it where I wanted and be up and running. I actually received the light the same day I stream and was able to use it that night with no issues. That was however just plugging it into an AC power brick and using the buttons included on the light. That was enough to get the job done but once I plugged it into my PC's USB later, I was able to have even more control with the G HUB app. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of the GHUB experience, I know that's pretty common, but I do have a keyboard that I already use with the app and so adding a light was not difficult. Other's may find this a little bit annoying to set up a whole app just to control a light, but the controls are a lot easier to use and don't require you to reach up and press a button on the light. You can also save presets for whatever situation you need them and dial in a better control over the brightness and color temp. One thing to note though that Logitech is upfront about as well, depending on your USB power, you may not be able to use full brightness off a USB port. I had this problem when plugging into USB 3 Hub and was limited to only 37% brightness. I was initially bummed about that but then saw that I can connect to the light via bluetooth and plug the light into a power brick like I did the first time and get full control still through GHUB. That's really a neat feature you're not going to see with just any ol streaming light. Connecting to the bluetooth wasn't too hard and once I did it once, it connected every time I needed it to. This light is great for a space saving streaming key light, video calls for business or even just a desk lamp if you wanted to while you're not on camera. One thing I wasn't crazy about is the way the light connects to the arm. By having the light a bit higher than my head, I needed to angle it down slightly. However, when using the standard screw mount, if you tighten the light on all the way it points straight out. To get a lower angle you technically have to loosen the connection. Now, for me it's only a small turn but if you were looking for a more dramatic top light or bottom light and needed to rotate it even more, eventually it becomes pretty loose and may move on it's own. Right now, the way I have it at about 45 degree angle down, it's very loose if you touch it, but I haven't seen it move on it's own yet, so for now I'm ok with it. I just would have liked to see a small clutch or separate rotating part that allows you to tighten the light down fully then rotate it to where you would like it. That's a minor issue but worth noting, especially given the way it brags about "point the light anywhere you need". The only other issue I really had was using the buttons on the light. There are buttons for brightness and color temp and if you one tap them, they will cycle through preset standard amounts, but if you press and hold they will give you a fine tuning. Now, the idea here is perfect, I love having the option to fine tune my temp and brightness, that's a major reason I got the light, but unfortunately, the execution is not great. I found myself constantly overshooting the brightness or temp and trying to dial it in back and fourth. This was on my first try with the light before I connected it to the GHUB app, and obviously that's why logitech probably isn't too concerned with the onboard controls because you can easily control them with the app, HOWEVER, if you are planning to not use the app for whatever reason and want to use the controls on the light, it's worth noting they are not the easiest to dial in. You'll get close, and that's probably good enough for most, but if you like to use a specific white balance temp or you are trying to get that brightness just right, you may have to take some time to dial it in. That, or just use the presets they have and adjust your other gear to match. So like I said, not a deal breaker, just something to remember. OVERALL I really do enjoy this light and it's so nice to have more space on my desk and still have a good key light for streams. The added bonus of having more control over the actual light produced and create my own presets on the GHUB app push this light into the top choices for me. The price is a little up there for a light, no doubt you're paying for the Logitech name and some bells and whistles, but if you have other GHUB ready devices like a mouse and keyboard etc, this will slip right into your ecosystem and can be added to your presets so you're always ready to go at a click of a button!
