As a professional graphic designer, I'm a longtime Logitech user. I needed a new replacement trackball mouse and Best Buy not only had what I needed, but it was on sale! The new Logitech Trackball is a dream to use. I highly recommend this product!

I have large hands and this mouse is great because my hand cramps up using a regular mouse. The thumb wheel is smooth and the buttons are in the correct position. The only reason for 3 stars is the mouse started losing connection and re-connection at random after 1 yr and 6 months of use. I would have to wiggle the wireless USB connector to have the mouse connect. It is a great mouse but the connector can start having issues after a 1.5 years. Buy a protection plan which I did and I'm glad I did.

I have been using a trackball in preference to a traditional mouse for probably 20 years, starting with the original Microsoft Optical. Several years ago when it finally became terminally glitchy I bought the M570 for home and work. My most recent purchases were for gifts, my other two are going strong after 5+ years. Setup couldn't be easier, and the Set Point software (download) has lots of configuration options. It's nice having one less cable to deal with. The wireless dongle plugs into any USB A port, Windows 10 instantly recognizes it. If you've never used a trackball it's a little adjustment, but major benefits. Most importantly, stress on wrist, elbow and shoulder is remarkably reduced. I find it easier to place the cursor precisely with my thumb rather than wrist and elbow. Ergonomic design fits my hand easily and comfortably (note that this model is not ambidextrous - right hand only please.) You need less desk space because it doesn't need room to move around, only the ball moves. The sensor needs less frequent cleaning because you're not dragging it around on the desktop. The configurable buttons and scroll wheel (also with button functions) work very well, and soon enough you'll wonder how you lived without it. Battery life is measured in years. Highly recommend if you're not afraid of walking on the wild side.

Hi arthro, Thank you for this very comprehensive and rave 5-star review of the M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse. As a fellow trackball user [I use the newer MX Ergo Plus] I cannot agree with you more the benefits of using a trackball mouse. The "adjustment period" is neglible because of the ergonomic benefits. Just remember, if any issues should come up with your M570, just go to the product page---https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wireless-trackball-m570---and click the Get Support link for troubleshooting tips, warranty information, etc. Hope that this helps and that you're able to continue enjoying your M570. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

I enjoy using the M570 mouse. I have a large hand and regular size mice usually cramp my hand after 5 minutes of use. I also like the track ball feature for my thumb but it get a little getting use to. Other than that this is a great mouse for your whole hand to rest on and browse the web without using the whole table to maneuver the mouse.

Have never been disappointed with any of my Logitech products for numerous years. This is my fourth trackball over the years [all still function well, connected to various computers], used in design work, as well as everyday computing. This is my first 'cordless' unit, purchased for portability with new laptop....was simple to install and start using immediately. Had to adapt a bit, as my other trackballs have the ball in the center, between the buttons, but this functions well, smoothly, accurately....no problems, and much better than touchpad, or running off the edge of the mousepad with a mouse of any configuration. Also would be great for someone with limited or constrained arm movement capability.

This is my first trackball, and I use it at work for document editing and web searches—no gaming. Two weeks into using the M570, I can say that I LOVE it. As a Mac user, I typically use Apple products and already had a Magic Mouse to use with my MacBook Pro at work. But I when I got an ergonomic keyboard* tray, there wasn't enough space for using the Magic Mouse (or any other mouse that requires being manually moved across a surface). I decided to kill two birds with one stone: 1) get an ergonomically improved mouse, and 2) get a mouse that stays in one place and will fit on my keyboard tray. That led me to reading reviews for various trackballs. I thought briefly about getting the fancier Logitech MX ERGO Plus trackball with the adjustable tilt, but at over $90, I decided to try this less expensive M570 given its excellent ratings and the fact that it was on a great sale at $23.99 online. I absolutely love it! Being new to using a trackball, it took me a day to get used to zipping across my dual displays with the cursor, but it quickly became natural. My job involves a lot of Word document editing, and I have no trouble positioning the cursor exactly between two letters in word at 125% zoom. And my hand and wrist fall very naturally around this mouse (I'm a 5'5" female with small hands). Although I wasn't experiencing much wrist discomfort with the Magic Mouse, I was always very careful to hold my wrist in the appropriate angle to reduce repetitive strain. Because the trackball relies on your thumb to rotate the ball while your hand just rests on top of the mouse, your wrist is generally static, and this works great for me. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the M570 scroll wheel--it's like any other standard scroll wheel that you'd find these days on a PC mouse, which means it doesn't fly as effortlessly as the scroll function on the Magic Mouse (which is just a finger flick). Thus, I still use my Magic Mouse for scrolling through long docs--it just sits next to the trackball, whose scroll wheel I use more for scrolling within a single page of a document that I'm editing or a web site. I'm very pleased with my purchase and have been giving my coworkers a sales pitch for this trackball. :) *I also just purchased the Logitech 750 Solar Wireless Keyboard, the black PC version vs. the white Mac-esque version because the PC version advertises "a concave key cap design". Note that this keyboard will work with Mac computers, but you have to remap a couple of keys--thus check online that your Mac model can do this if you want the black keyboard. I then used a single Logitech Unifying Receiver to link them both to my computer.

The Trackman was a classic of Logitech's lineup. And while we don't use dial-up anymore for some very good reasons, there's nothing really to explain why the trackball has fallen from grace. Thus, the M570, which brings us back to the era of trackballs, renewed with wireless functionality, an extensive battery life, and better precision than in the past. The M570 is a wireless mouse featuring 4 main buttons, a scroll wheel with its typical middle click, a large marble for mouse movement, and four rubberized feet for planting the device when navigating. It rarely moves unless you're intending to move it, and it works on basically any surface, glass, wood, fabric, you name it. The marble is the star of the show. By using your thumb, you're free to scroll through the entire screen of whatever device you're using. You may notice it takes a lot of swipes to get where you wanna go, or that precisely hitting some targets can be difficult. You should look into turning on mouse acceleration to deal with that. Once it's all squared away with, it's a great mouse. No wire means it can go anywhere, so you can even use it in bed, or on your lap. It may serve those with disabilities the best. Since you need only use your thumb, you aren't making movements of the wrist, reducing carple-tunnel syndrome. Furthermore the angle at which your hand rests on the device means you avoid scissoring the bones in your arm, whichever typically pinch nerves. I only wish the device had horizontal scrolling with the scroll wheel, and featured a precision button. These features exist on the more premium MX Ergo from Logitech, but that can cost double or even triple the price of the M570. By contrast, the M570 can go on sale down to $30, making it a fantastic purchase.

Apart from the obvious (takes up less space, easier than normal mice to clean), this trackball has both a forward and backward extra button which come in handy for anyone using the internet. It is extremely easy to install; you plug it in and you are good to go. If you want another pointer speed, you change that and done. Unlike many other trackballs, you use your thumb to move the ball on this one which only makes sense as the thumb is an extremely flexible digit. I strongly recommend this one.

This trackball mouse is awesome!!! This used to be really expensive and then they came out with a newer version and the price of this one dropped yay!!!!! I love that I can take it anywhere and not ha e to worry about a a proper surface for a laser mouse. The mouse buttons are also angled so a bonus ergonomic design. I was initially concerned about thumb fatigue but that's not the case, it's very comfortable. And at $24 it's a steal :D
