I was hesitant about switching to a trackball, but the Logitech MX ERGO Plus won me over quickly. The adjustable tilt feature is a lifesaver, especially if you spend hours clicking and scrolling. My wrist feels better at the end of the day, which is a significant improvement during long sessions at the computer.
The trackball is incredibly smooth and precise. It works well for selecting text, editing images, or managing multiple open windows without requiring much desk space. I'm also impressed with the battery life, which seems to last for an extended period. Additionally, the customizable buttons allow me to set shortcuts for my most-used tools.
While using the trackball is a pleasure, I’ve noticed that dust can occasionally accumulate around the sensor, causing the cursor to jump. Fortunately, this is an easy fix, just pop the ball out and give it a quick blast of compressed air, and you’re good to go.
Overall, this mouse is a solid choice if you want something comfortable, reliable, and hassle-free for everyday use. It has transformed my work routine, and my wrist is grateful for it. If you’re curious about trackballs, the MX ERGO Plus is an excellent place to start.

I spend way too much time in front of a computer, both for work and as a pastime.
Between Photoshop, tech work, video editing, and video games, my wrist was shot. I decided rather than cycling between going to hard and recovering that I would check out some ergonomic mice.
My main mouse was the G502, so I tried getting the Logitech Lift, and it's a decent mouse. It was easier on my wrist the motions still meant I experienced discomfort occasionally.
Then I tried the MX ERGO and it's now my go-to for everything outside video games and even some games. It's angle is adjustable and I find full tilt to be great. The ball is very smooth, though I've heard it's worth finding an aftermarket upgrade.
The additional buttons are easy to reach and programmable by application with the Logitech software. The scroll wheel is smooth and has additional buttons when tilted left/right.
It also works both with the RF dongle and Bluetooth which means I can use it with multiple machines without having to swap the dongle or worry about which machine it will pair with.
The battery is rechargeable and lasts months. It charges using micro-USB, which might mean it charges slowly but since I make sure to plug it in every 4-8 weeks, I've never been in a spot where I can't use it because it needs to charge.

This was great purchase for me in particular. My hand is practically glued to a mouse when working and carpaI tunnel has been a recurring issue since my pregnancy. So this mouse has noticeabley eased this strain.
I can move the mouse, scroll, go back a page, and switch devices without even moving my hand. So this really does help me with keeping my hand movement to a minimum while working.
The trackball movement has been smooth so far. I'm not sure if the performance dwindles as time goes on. That remains to be seen.

Expensive for a non-gaming mouse? Yes, however it is a high quality solution for a laptop trackpad. This mouse lives by the couch when I want to use my laptop seated, or anywhere where I dont have room to manuver a normal mouse. I used the cheaper version from logitech for years, but found the quality lacking. This fixes all the physical issues I had with the smooth opporation of the ball, and buttons. The added option to significantly tilt the mouse to aid in wrist ergonomics is actually not a gimic, but very comfortable. Logitech's button customisation is great for any use as well. I do wish the usb reciever (I don’t use it since theres blutooth) would stow in the mouse, but it does not.

Logitech MX Ergo Plus Review

I have been a pretty loyal fan of Logitech mouse and keyboard technology and design. I went through 3 of the 1st generation M570 marble mouse before buying this MX Ergo model.
To start with, I was really excited to see the new features and modifications on this new bird. The one that grabbed my attention the most was the adjustable angle of the mouse itself. This metallic base is held on magnetic hinge to a ridge at the base of the mouse... which pivots 20° pronate or suppinate. The angle really makes this mouse even better ergonomically. The plus model comes with an additional wedge to add 10° more to 30°. This plus model is only available through Best Buy and the wedge is not sold separately by Logitech.
The scrolling wheel has a normal and fine mode to move the mouse in smaller jumps for more detailed work. There is also a page up or down fir bigger jumps.
This mouse can also be used with two devices with one mouse. Its called Logitech Flow. This feature is controlled by two button on top of the mouse.
I can't really think of any downsides to this new model. I highly recommend buying this newest Logitech flagship.
This mouse is now rechargeable via USB C interface... which is a big improvement over AA batteries.

Use every day for atleast 8 hours a day for work it’s helped reduce strain from moving entire arm elevated on a desk. It has held up its precision and being rechargeable it almost never dies for weeks if not longer on a couple hour charge. Amazing tool and would not trade it for the world. Still in service after two years and looks intact no fading or rubbed off labels. Great quality roller.

Logi trackball mouse

This was actually the second track ball Logi mouse I have purchased. I was on a business trip and had left my mouse at my office. I was able to call the store nearby and grabbed a second one. These are not exactly cheap at $99 but well worth the price if you are using all day. A little history: A couple years ago, I had actually fallen and torn ligaments in my wrist on my mouse hand. (I know right?) A standard mouse was causing a tremendous amount of pain. I took a ride over to my go to Best Buy and picked one up my first trackball. My brother had one for about 15 years and literally wore the paint off it. As he said you probably have to be patient to get used to the speed at which it rolls over the screen at first but once your mind wraps around the speed it is easy to zip across the entire screen and dail in on your pick target. Leaning your thumb on the side of the unit allows for tight movements. This thing is Heavy with a capital H. But that’s the thing. You are not shoving it across your desk like most mouse products. I noticed I was previously actually picking up my old style mouse to keep it on the desk. The mouse hand angle has several different angles with a very strong magnet to hold it exactly where you feel the most natural. I used to have carpal tunnel pain from excessive mouse use, but it is now completely gone. Full disclosure; this is not a medical device, just my experience. So, back to my latest purchase. Unlike my first mouse which goes a month of constant use on the battery before recharging this one only lasts about 2 hours max. I forgot about it when i got back my office and when I remembered to ask for a replacement it was over 30 days. For this reason I recommend buying the warranty for electronics. I could have saved myself a lot of aggravation. Best Buy personnel were nice enough to explain how the Logi one year warranty works. To me Logi has always had very solid products, so I’m taking this as a one off issue. I suppose in effect I am mostly reviewing the first one of these I purchased. So the question is whether I would buy another one: Absolutely. I should also say I would give a five star rating except for the battery issue. This mouse is so close to perfect in user comfort. It is obvious Logi put a tremendous amount of T&D into it. One caveat; a left handed person usually works a mouse with their right hand and writes with their left hand so learning this one would give lefty’s yet another advantage over right handed folks. Just saying.

This was a great upgrade from a standard wireless mouse for me. I use 32" triple screens for sim racing, and navigating that amount of surface area was bothersome. Have limited room for a mouse pad I was constantly having to do the pickup and swipe to move the cursor across the width of the three screens.
With the Logitech MX ERGO Plus navigating across three 32" screens just a few slick thumbs moves, no move bothersome pickup and swipe like my old wireless.
This MX ERGO works perfect for me in the sim rig. At waist height, and to my right, it's a great upgrade.

Premium Track Ball

I has started out with the entry level Logi trackball and it worked well, but the ball had a good bit of play in the base and the plastic felt thin and cheap.
Everything about the Ergo is just so much better, the trackball moves so much smoother and the palm surface just feels great. The angle tilt feature makes this even more comfortable. The tilt plate is held with strong magnets, I haven't had a problem with it tipping unexpectedly. Battery life is great, I've been using it for about a month and it hasn't needed a recharge.
I don't play PC games and only use the trackball for rendering.
For a trackball that you can pick up in stores, it's a solid purchase.
The only thing that's keeping this from five stars is the price.

Stops the pain!
I am a Video Graphic Designer. This is my second MX Ergo and about my 12th+ Trackball.
It is an ergonomically perfect device. I have carpal tunnel. This ends the pain.
I use very little of the tech on this that is available. I have it set to the fastest speed and have multiple 43" screens. I occasionally will turn on the precision button.
I use the tilt plate rotated fully to the right.
This track ball speeds up my work.
I wish it had a low battery warning. It will just stop when it runs out of juice.

I'm constantly accidentally hitting the Device 1/Device 2 button. It's also very easy to trigger the "Precision" button, making you think that your mouse has frozen. The wedge shaped platform made to tilt the angle of the trackball is a stroke of genius. I'll have to put some grip tape underneath the wedge to keep it from sliding around my leather chair.

We understand your concern about the accidental triggering of the "Precision" button and the sensitivity of the Device 1/Device 2 button. One of the best versions of their trackballs! The ERGO shape makes spending long hours working on the computer a pleasant experience. I like the ability to adjust the angle of the device to make it more comfortable on my wrist/arm. I've been using Logitech trackballs for over a decade and by far this is the best one yet! My only complaint, as shared with others, is the new "Options" software... Bring back the many options found in the old SetPoint!!! Future feature request... Allow the angle adjustments to be fluid instead of fixed increments. Highly recommend the MX ERGO Plus Wireless Trackball!
