Great insight as to how much our military does!!!!

Highly recommending this movie to anyone looking for a demo-quality UHD in terms of both picture and sound. The movie itself is quite engaging, as well.

4k movie with a great price and easy store pick up

What a movie! This film really bring home the risk and danger our troops confronted daily in Afghanistan. The action is virtually non-stop once things heat up. What makes the whole story even more impactful is the fact that the events portrayed and the men it depicts are real. A must see!

Shows you what it’s like for soldiers out there in the war zones. Action packed intense scenes, thumbs up.

Great movie I actually had a digital copy on my Amazon but needed a hard copy just in case.. I watched it and its an awsome movie. Much respect to our military members and this movie helps me give more appreciation to them. 10 stars actually

I read the book which enticed me to watch this movie. God bless Mr. Luttrell for the service he gave and the memories he has from his service. First off, the book tells a more thorough story. This review is for the movie though. The movie gives a close account of how the book tells Mr. Luttrell's story. The movie gives a different and more Hollywood-geared account as to how Mr. Luttrell was rescued. Great movie to watch. It is an action movie. The movie gives insight into what modern warfare looks like and the idea of what our armed forces endure.

I saw this movie as soon as it came out. It's the best war film I've ever seen. It's gutsy, courageous, and real. It gives anyone watching it an idea into the grueling training that Seals go through to become what they are. They are heroes and trained to complete a mission no matter what,and if necessary, they will die trying. This movie is emotionally moving on many levels. The men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces deserve all the credit they can get. Yes, and recently the Navy Seals have been receiving a lot of credit for the impossible missions they undertake. People should look beyond the movie and realize the strength, endurance, and mindset that these men have to get the job done no matter what.

It's fun to watch, even multiple times, although it can be a bit graphic at times. Great picture for sure.

I hate to sound like one of THOSE people, but I did read the book before the movie. I thought the movie did a good job of following the main events in the book while keeping up a good pace. If you know nothing about the story, it is based upon a real life encounter where a SEAL unit was on recon patrol and let's just say the brown stuff hit the fan. The movie is engaging and largely keeps politics out of it. Instead it focuses tightly on the main character, Marcus Luttrell, and his teammates. As far as the technical aspect of the disc, the video looks great. I don't currently have my surround setup, so I can't say a lot about the audio. I noticed no issues with either.

Good movie, got it in the $5 bin on blue ray with the digital code. Worked out great.

In short, this is an amazing movie that both captures the feeling of brotherhood and duty of the US Navy Seals that Luttrell writes about in his book, and brings home the reality of combat in Afghanistan. Untortunately the movie does take some deviations from the book that I do not understand, especially when it is revealed in the extras how much control Luttrell insisted on having during filming to ensure that this would not be a "Hollywood war movie". Otherrwise the blu ray is great, the production documentaries are good as well, and lots of interviews with Marcus Luttrell and the famiiles of his fellow Seals who so bravely fought for each other in Afghanistan.

The story is done well along with good action and acting. Glad I decided to buy it.

I really enjoyed watching this movie with all of its action. I got it on sale at Best Buy and it was the combo pack with the Blue ray, DVD and digital copy. For $18 it was a bargain! I like having the digital copy on my laptop so I can watch it anytime I want. Its always intriguing to see war movies about current conflicts. I know a SEAL and he doesn't say much about anything he's done. So to see a movie based on true events is an eye opening experience. I'm amazed at the dedication these men have and am grateful for their service. This film pays tribute to just one mission that the SEALs have performed. I watch again and again.

As a Veteran I generally like military movies. This movie is about true heroes, based upon Marcus Latrell's book of the same name. This movie is by far one of the most realistic movies I have ever seen. I have to say that it may be a little TOO realistic. It accurately shows the brotherhood that troops feel when deployed. For civilians, this movie definitely shows that combat is NOT glamorous, it is gritty, bloody, and determined. This movie sets a very high mark for future "war" movies. Loved it!

very good movie, keeps your interest and it holds the story line nicely

It's hard to imagine that you can go into this movie knowing what you know (just look at the title) and still be on the edge of your seat hoping and praying that, by some chance, things come out some other way. This is a gripping and intense ride through the chaos and mayhem of close quarters combat with soldiers that don't accept the possibility of defeat, and are willing to sacrifice everything if necessary for their country and each other. Get the movie, watch it, watch it again, then go and get the book. Many thanks to all that are willing to take up arms and stand in harms way for the rest of us.

ok, there is some controversy over the details of the actual events. personally, I don't see why that matters. the event itself happened. were there 20 enemies or 100? nobody knows for sure, and there are different opinions. again, who cares? for the sake of the film, it doesn't really matter, and, knowing that there is no clear answer, I don't feel the film exaggerated the situation. if you can accept that, the film was extremely well done, with excellent acting, writing, cinematography, stunt work, etc. and if you have a good home theater system, you'll be ducking when the bullets start flying!
