I previously had purchased the Ring floodlight camera's since I had their doorbell and wanted to keep it all in the same system. I was not happy with the quality of the Ring's camera and the floodlight just wasn't that bright. These are installed in the soffit of the second floor and the Ring's light barely was noticeable on the driveway. The light on the Lorex is much better. The camera is about the same quality, maybe slightly better with the increased brightness of the floodlight helping after dark. I have since installed one in the back yard and added a full Lorex 4K security system with NVR. This is tied to that whole system and integrates as just another one of their cameras. I'd highly recommend this if you need both a security camera and a floodlight that produces a decent amount of light.

We do not have any lighting out in our back yard so we are looking forward to having some light out there along with another camera for back yard viewing.

Works great with Lorex camera system. If you need an easy install, this item works great.

Easy to install and set up. Good quality video and SD card storage. Several drawbacks, 1) No feature to control lenth of recorded movement, 2) Rain, snow, leaves, etc cause undesirable recording, 3) Camera misses movement while it records prior movenent to SD card.
