This computer is great for power. However i'd go with the Macbook Pro for more portability. This one does have more ports though. At the end of the day do you want more ports or portability and display built in.

I am using this with logic, pro X and FL studio. I have about five or six bus interfaces, handles everything beautifully, and it is super quiet very happy.

Best computer I have ever owned. Mainly used for photo editing and photoshop projects. It blazes through large RAW files with ease. Nice upgrade over my 2020 Mac Mini.

Amazingly fast! Looks great on the desk and takes up minimal space for what it can do. On button could be designed slightly larger to make it easier to feel.

Unbelievable Performance - Apple Designed a Winner

I was hesitant to spend the extra money on the Mac Studio when the Mac Mini would probably meet my needs. I have owned/used Mac Mini’s for about 8 years. However, after I added up all the memory and HD upgrades into the Mac Mini configuration I wanted - I was within a few hundred $$ of the Mac Studio. I purchased the Base model and have not regretted spending the extra money. To say this machine is fast and highly capable would be an understatement. My boot up times from a dead start are less than 1 minute (more like 20-30 seconds) and I am working!!!! I have yet to find anything that I do, including editing large photos using Photoshop/Lightroom, to tax this system. I don’t think the cooling fan has even turned on. Apple has designed and built a winner here. I look forward to using this machine everyday. The other thing that is a big step up is the ample USB C/Thunderbolt ports - especially the ones on the front!!!!

Solid device. Can be a little nerve racking making sure it’s alll running consistently as well correctly. After a few weeks tho, I’ve finished songs faster than ever before, as well as making several videos with super fast render and bounce times. CPU can be a little glitchy after a long project though, so sure you let it rest.

Went from a desktop (iMac) to this, and will probably never go back to a desktop. This works so well for my editing needs. if I need to go bigger, I will, but so far, this works great.

I had to reluctantly replace my 2009 Mac Pro cheese grater but I couldn’t be more satisfied with this purchase. Sure, the Mac Studio is less modular, however, the speed with which I’ve been able to churn out finished projects (professional composer) using Logic Pro is exactly worth the price up front.

These Mac Studios are awesome computers, and I cannot recommend them more highly. But I decided to order the M1 MacBook Pro instead even though I’ll have to wait for it, because I need the 64GB unified ram and the 2 TB SSD. Otherwise, if this had the 64GB unified ram and the 2 TB SSD I would definitely have kept this.

This thing is a beast. Great for music production. It is quiet, never hear the fan come on. I have had this for about 6 to 7 months now and no problems at all. Wish I would of waited for the M2 version but could not pass up the deal when these were being sold out. Solid built Apple product. Love it!

My first Mac and its great! I've always used Dell and they have been great but thought I would give this a try. Seems to be great so far. I'm using all the Adobe apps and they run great on the Mac Studio. So far I've caught on to the way Mac runs just old PC habits I'm trying to break now.

It was tough to decide between this and the Mac Mini M2 Pro when the price is MSRP but I got this on sale for almost 25%. At a lower price, Mac Studio offers much more than the Mac Mini M2 Pro. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend this product but not at MSRP.

This is my fourth Apple computer. I was previously working from a MacBook Air. Initially, it served my needs, but my workload gradually increased requiring more power. When I saw this computer I immediately ordered it. I've had it for about three weeks. Not one hangup or hiccup. Handles my workload with ease. Superior buy!

Simply put this machine is nothing short of amazing and that says a lot considering its the base model. A little bigger than I expected but it doesnt bother me one bit. I love the port selection and using it has been a pleasant experience so far and I dont expect that to change. If you consider yourself to be a ‘prosumer’, need a mac desktop with decent power but not too over the top, and are on the fence about if this machine is worth it, I’d say go for it! I have no regrets buying this and I dont think you will either. The base model is perfect in my opinion for the ‘prosumer’ with a little bit of future proofing thrown in.

I love all Apple products, Apple studio did not seem like much of an upgrade from my iMac of 6 + years ago, I can’t find a reason to use the machine other than I waited too long to return it. If run any Microsoft products on the studio be ready for a less impressive experience. Enough bad things about the Mac Studio, good things small footprint, relatively quiet operations.

so far, it's a good machine. boots quickly. webpages load quickly. it's overkill for what I need...let's just say alcohol may or may not have been a factor when I purchased this machine. I have two complaints: one with Best Buy's overview saying it has 4 USB ports. technically this is correct, but it has 2 USB A, and & 2 USB C ports. my fault for not looking at the specs closer....like I said, alcohol may or may not have been a factor when making this purchase. now, the other complaint and the reason for the 4 stars: not enough USB C ports. the speakers are junk. I wish apple would've chosen to leave out the speakers and add more USB C ports. other than that, it's a solid machine and I hope to get 10 years out of it like I'm still getting with my 2012 MacBook Pro.
