Madden 18 may not be perfect in all areas of the game, but it's a solid game that keeps improving. Commentary, presentation and graphics are better than ever before. EA's Frostbite engine may not have been implemented as well as it could have been, but for a first year effort, it's a solid foundation that should improve. The PS4 Pro enhancements truly change this game for the better. Having a solid 60 frames per second on 1080P resolution and amazingly clear HDR graphics on 4K televisions truly makes a ton of difference over 17 and previous years. Franchise hasn't seen a lot of improvements come its way, but its minor fixes to commentary and menu quirks perfect what was already there. Here's hoping for an overhaul in 19. Longshot is a surprisingly fun story mode that ends far too soon. I honestly hope an NFL-based sequel that uses your save data from Madden 18 will be added next year, instead of a completely new story with new characters. All things considered, this is a solid game that, in spite of its imperfections, does a lot to emulate what fans see on Sundays. It could be better. But what's there is certainly admirable, and hopefully it continues to improve next season under Frostbite.

This game ticks all the boxes: graphics, gameplay, sound and fun! Controls really well and has so many modes you will be playing this until the next on comes out.

While there are some big flaws with the game, i.e. computer play calling, and qb play, and franchise mode needs an overhaul. The game looks beautiful and still is a lot of fun to play. The latest patches have fixed some of the problems. Longshot is a fun story mode to play through. Game is really catered to online and ultimate team which are really fun if you are in to that, and offer a wide range of things to do while building your team. Single player is fun, but requires some work on your end to get the computer to play competently.

Game play is great, only issue I have is the glitches and the tackling is horrid, one juke can catch 3-4 defenders at the same time. I love the graphics and detail much better than Madden 17.

It is a lot more interactive than last year and still keeps the realism. This is definitely one of the better Madden's than the last 5 years.

One of my all time favorite games. This year they have improved graphics and made some great changes to controlling players! Way better then 17. If your a madden fan then you have to buy this today!! You won’t be disappointed.

It is better than the Madden 17. The graphics are better and the game play is fun. I just wish they would a new set of stadiums to chose from when you build a new stadium in the game.

Madden 18 is definitely an improvement over 17. From the sharp visuals accomplished using the Frostbite engine, to the much improved animations, this series is finally living up to it's potential. The Longshot story mode is a nice change of pace, that is both well written with great voice acting. The gameplay has been improved with both offensive and defensive lines getting much needed attention. The addition of the coaching adjustment option is awesome. You can choose to have your team play a balanced game, a conservative one or aggressive. The aggressive option gives you the potential for more turnovers, but can also lead to your opponent breaking off huge plays. This really adds a whole new dimension to the series. It was an option back in NCAA football days and it is great to see it making a comeback in Madden 18. Overall, I think the game plays great and I would recommend it. My only minor gripes are with some clipping animations during replays and post play interactions. Also, I am hoping that come next year, Madden will be 100% real time physics based. Madden 18 physics are pretty darn good, but you still see the occasional canned animations, which by now should be a non-issue.

I’m glad the house used frostbite this year because the players look more real than ever. Some mechanisms are different but it is overall a better game than precious

It's the best football game on the market! Maybe it's the only football game on the market! Either way, it's a must have for any sports gamer!

Gameplay this year is the best it's been in years. Fun for all ages a must have for the football fans this holiday season.

This is by far the best game they've made so far. The gameplay feels legit and love the new Longshot story mode they added.

Every year Madden keeps getting better . And I was not disappointed this season. If you love football a must to get.

Madden game continues to improve graphics each year, the general manager mode makes one feel like they own a team.

I bought this Madden on PS4. In my opinion it’s better on PS4. I love online play. I like the story mode too

I've been playing Madden for years. Still can't get tired of this game. MUT has been my favorite game mode.

I was amazed with Madden 18 and this game has the hits and moves for fast graphics with smooth gameplay.

Madden always has a few years when it is not great. This year's version is a little tougher as a young quarterback going through the ranks in Franchise mode (for example Marriota will not be as accurate with short throws if you just hold down the reciever button over Derek Carr). The longshot mode is great compared to the dialogs in MLB 17 they clearly spent sometime here and allowed for the play in longshot to be integrated in other modes.

Huge jump in graphics from '17 to '18, but you'll have to spend a lot in the beginning to get a better team in Ultimate Team which I mainly play. 4K & HDR support are nice.
