I was able to nab this guitar kit for a discounted price of $99.99. I've been interested in getting an electric guitar and amp for a while now and learning to play as a hobby. In my opinion, this kit is exactly what I was looking for. It is a real, new (not second-hand) electric guitar made by a reputable company, that looks pretty cool even though white is not my top choice. It comes with the things you need like picks, extra strings, the 1/4" cable, guitar playing dvd lessons, etc. I mean, I'm an absolute beginner- I don't need a top-of-the-line guitar, huge amp, or things like that at this point. Many of things I did need, it came with. The strap is pretty small I think, but yeah I'm looking forward to learning to play.

I bought this guitar for my son to learn how to play. It came with all the basic stuff he needed to start playing (except a tuner which he just used an app on his phone). Sound quality is good, carrying case comes in handy when taking it to lessons, and overall a great buy for only a hundred bucks!

If you are looking to make an investment in learning to play the guitar, especially if you don't already own an electric guitar, I HIGHLY recommend this system. The guitar is beautiful, comes strung, but also has additional strings, pics, light-weight gig bag, AND its own mini amp. You also get a few DVDs for beginners' lessons. Now, on its own these lessons are pretty good, but they refer to a workbook that goes along with the lessons. This workbook doesn't come with the system, but can be purchased separately. I don't think it's necessary to pick it up, but wish it came with the system too. Other than that, this is a great system.

Let me start off by saying that before I picked up this guitar, I had never played in my life. That being said, it is a good guitar for a beginner such as myself. The sound was nice. The small amp that comes with it is alright, but if you want more sound you'll have to buy a bigger one. Only issue that I had with the guitar was one of the tuner knobs fell off within a week. Overall a great beginner guitar.

I purchased the guitar with the Xbox 360 Rocksmith 2014 video game. I'm a total beginner and have only started to play using the video game. At the recommendation of others I replaced the guitar strings right away. I also had to file down the metal between the frets since it was pretty sharp and tough on the fingers. The guitar sounds pretty good in my limited experience and the price was great so all in all, a good guitar for beginners.

Nice and inexpensive starter guitar. Decided to finally try and learn to play, but didn't want to spend a lot, just in case it didn't work out. So far, so good. The dvd's are a huge bonus and the accompanying workbook is available for download.

have not played guitar for 30 years or so. this took me way back and am playing better than what I was back then after only a few hrs of really practicing. this is really easy to understand and the discs are really done well

I had a nephew coming over from England. I bought this to have a second instrument to jam with. we were both surprised with the quality and sound from an inexpensive instrument. a great starter instrument

This is not for the serious musician, but if you are a beginner or just curious it's a good value. The kit includes a basic electric guitar, a small (5 watt) amp, an extra set of strings, picks, a gig bag and a set of lessons on DVD. It is a good starter set for anyone interested in starting to learn guitar.

The price on this starter electric guitar was good ($99) plus it came with a free guitar stand. I'd only played acoustic guitar before and never got past the beginner stage. I wanted to check out an electric guitar without blowing the bank. With this one I had a harder time keeping it in tune than with my acoustic; I don't know if that's normal for an electric guitar. The sound also wasn't as clean as other pricier models that I tried, but I guess that shouldn't be a shocker.

I picked this up for my daughter as a birthday present, she immediately fell in love with it. It comes with everything you need as a beginner, when learning to play a guitar. It comes with a carrying case, instructional videos, guitar picks, extra strings, etc. Everything you need at an affordable price, not to mention it was on sale. Win-win.

This was the perfect setup for me. Everything is good quality. The instruction DVDs are very helpful. The only thing it's missing is a tuner.

The guitar was a sale item. It came with a four cd's for teaching a beginner.

My daughter was very happy with the instrument. I see no difference in this guitar and one that would have cost me much more. The quality, price and condition were great!

Bought this guitar for a kid who is just starting out to learn on. He's having fun and it sounds pretty good. He'll eventually want something better, but for the price this is a good gateway instrument.

My first electric guitar after 50 years on acoustic. It's a good starter guitar, but the amp is only 5 watts, so barely adequate for a beginner. I went out and bought a 25 watt Fender amp the next week. I will use the small amp when we go on trips, so not a total loss. I only would recommend this set if you are a beginner, otherwise you will be disappointed.

Nice beginner guitar for the price you can't beat it. Works well with the rock smith game for ps3.
