--- SETUP --- The setup of the Malwarebytes software was simple. I went to the download website, entered my digital key, and downloaded the software. From there, I clicked “Activate” on the website and the software began to work under the Premium label. --- FEATURES --- The key feature of this software is that it will protect your computer from malware, ransomware, and viruses that could slow down/harm your computer. You can also schedule automatic scans, view history of reports, and activate the premium version for up to 3 computers (PC and Mac). --- PERFORMANCE --- The performance of this new version is quick and responsive. The interface is simple, easy to read, and a breeze to navigate through. I was able to schedule my scans to fit my needs, look at previous scans, and read a nice message that says, “Your computer is protected.” During my use, Malwarebytes didn’t detect anything in my PC work computer nor my personal Mac. However, it brings peace of mind to know that for the next year, I don’t have to worry about most harms that could potentially attack my computer. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The product meets my expectations. Occasionally, I got a message that asked me to try a free Malwarbytes extension to protect my browsing experience, but I didn’t feel it was intrusive. Activating a second computer was a simple process. You can deactivate computers previously activated in case you need to protect another one after you reach your limit. It is also nice that you can see how many days are left in your subscription. --- VALUE --- The price Malwaybytes is a great value considering that it includes up to three PCs, Macs, or Androids. --- APPROVAL --- I highly recommend this product for people who want to protect their computer devices and that of a couple of family members.

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing Malwarebytes Premium (3-Devices) from Best Buy, and I must say, the experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Not only did I find this top-tier security software at an unbeatable price of $19 – a deal that significantly undercut the pricing on the Malwarebytes website – but the entire purchasing process was smooth and hassle-free. As for Malwarebytes itself, it has proven to be an exemplary choice for digital protection. The software is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to navigate even for those who aren't tech-savvy. The installation process was straightforward, and I had it up and running on my devices in no time. The level of security provided by Malwarebytes Premium is impressive. It offers comprehensive protection against a wide range of threats, including viruses, malware, and ransomware. The real-time protection feature ensures that my devices are constantly monitored and safeguarded against any potential threats. Moreover, the software runs quietly in the background without hogging system resources, so my computer's performance remains unaffected. Additionally, the fact that this package covers 3 devices is a huge plus. It offers great value for money, ensuring that all my devices are protected without needing multiple subscriptions. In conclusion, my experience purchasing Malwarebytes from Best Buy has been outstanding. I got an amazing deal on a premium product, and the software itself has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and reliability. I highly recommend Best Buy for anyone looking to purchase Malwarebytes at a fantastic price, and I commend Malwarebytes for developing such a robust and user-friendly security solution.

I have Malwarebytes installed on all our computers

I have been using the free version of Malwarebytes on several Windows 10 computers and one iMac for a few years. I shifted some of my computing from Mac OS to Windows 10 several years ago, so I read many discussions on several Windows subreddits about what people use for virus protection. Malwarebytes was by far the most recommended software paired with the built-in Windows Security virus & threat protection (Windows Defender) in Windows 10. I have been a happy user ever since. The free version lets you make on-demand scans to get rid of existing infections but does not prevent them. This works well unless you get ransomware where prevention is key. The premium version provides real-time protection which includes Web Protection, Malware and PUP Protection, Ransomware Protection and Exploit Protection. You also gain the ability to schedule scans. This Premium 3 device pack from Best Buy is a good deal compared to the Premium 1 device offer on the Malwarebytes website. If you share your computer with other people you should make regular scans for malware. You may be careful but other users can be tricked into installing malware. The first time I ran the free version on all our computers it found a PUP on a shared windows gaming laptop and several PUPs on our family iMac running Mojave. It quarantined the files and it was easy to remove them. Regular scans since then. My son knows to make periodic scans with Malwarebytes but with his increased computer usage these past months I might not touch our iMac or gaming computer for almost a week. I scheduled daily scans on those two and my laptop thanks to the Premium version. It is great knowing we have real-time protection on our three most important computers. We continue to use the free version on the rest of our computers. I have Malwarebytes installed on all our computers.

Malwarebytes have been a leader in the infosec/antivirus world for a while now, and this 3 device Premium version is an excellent value for true peace of mind on your devices. This 4.0 version (now on build 4.2.0.82) is the absolute fastest scanning AV I’ve ever used. Only 27 secs to scan almost 300k files on a 50% full 1 TB M.2 SSD. No issues/crashes/lag with gaming COD Warzone, Apex, WoW, and Flight Simulator. Have not even had to make an exception. Take a look at their live remediation map linked below when you have a moment, then please continue below for more info and suggestions on the product. https://www.malwarebytes.com/remediationmap/ Just some suggestions from the base install/configuration that I performed right away to tune Malwarebytes Premium to my preference. First, Make sure all Real-Time Protections are enabled. Settings -> Security -> Update Threat Intelligence - Make sure auto scan is selected & change to 59 minute updates. Also, in the Security section under Scan options, select advanced algorithms if you have a high end CPU. Finally, still in the Security tab, scroll to the bottom to Exploit Protection & here you will find customizable Advanced Exploit settings where you can granularly harden apps/memory/app behavior/Java Protections. The Display tab allows you to select a theme and a background if you like, but scroll down if needed and enable hardware acceleration if you have a “true” GPU. The Allow List tab makes it easy to add apps/files/folder/websites/or to exempt a previous detected false positive exploit. Thats all for now, I will use the other licences to harden the other PCs in the house that are not WFH PCs, but I’d trust this level of protection anywhere/anytime.

    Malwarebytes now with active protection

Malwarebytes was always my go-to free malware scanner for systems that may have had infected files. It usually found, removed and repaired files that may have otherwise slipped past other systems, but was only a manual scan. Now with their premium edition it is actively protecting the system as other virus protections systems do. With computers and most modern browsers, many protections have been added to help keep our devices safe, but no single application is going to catch it all. Malwarebytes active protection is meant to protect you from malicious sites, viruses, exploits and the one thing I have had to help a couple friends with, ransomware. You know, those sites that entice you in with an unbelievable deal and then claim to lock you out of your computer unless you pay them in a set amount of time. Malwarebytes has changed a bit over the past couple years, giving it a more modern design and everything. Compared to other anti-virus applications it seems to have a lower impact and is simple to manage. One thing they don’t seem to offer is a firewall or network settings though. Going through the advanced settings was also odd seeing some options not enabled by default, but I’m sure they have their reasons. Even though web protection is automatically enabled, using the Chromium/Firefox extension Malware Browser Guard adds an additional layer of ad/tracker protection. Overall I have had a great experience with Malwarebytes over the years and now with the subscription it is active protection instead of a manual post-scan and makes me feel safer.

Downloading Malwarebytes - 4.0 Premium was simple and the installation went as expected. I installed it on my gaming computer as my grandsons use it online. I am usually hesitant to let then install software unsupervised. But, they have friends that temp them with cool (dangerous?) software. Lived trough the re-installs in the past, better to be protected than sorry. I occasionally check my dashboard and set it to run a deep scan. It found a few adware items. It gives you the final say as to quarantine or delete. So far it hasn't slowed down my search or web load times. If I browse safely, and even if I am "hit" I will see how it responds. Fair cost for a premium product.

Using my computer is always risky with various websites and new threats popping up daily. Since the pandemic started I have been at home and using my personal laptops more frequently for work, school, entertainment, and shopping. I have been trying to be cautious about the websites I go visit and not having an antivirus program is a bit risky. This Malwarebytes 4.0 Premium has been so helpful for our household and our 3 laptops we use. Knowing that we are protected in the background as Malwarebytes is continually monitoring any incoming threats gives me some peace of mind. The install is super easy and getting it set up is guided so it's quite easy. I'll leave it running and let it do it's thing on the desktop background. I haven't seen any slow down in performance on any of the 3 laptops that I have this installed on. Knowing I can shop, work, and do school related activities without being attacked is great for my family.

Malwarebytes has long been a winner in the arena of protection software, and this newest version is an example of why. It was easy to install and runs both silently and efficiently in the background without putting a drain on power or response time for other programs. Unlike some other protection programs I've used in the past, it doesn't bombard the user a barrage of annoying pop-ups either. There are a LOT of anti-malware/virus/ransomware options out there, and I believe that I chose well.

Having done several days of research into malware protection software for our phones and PCs, my conclusion is that this is the best on a bang-for-your-buck basis. Is there "better" anti-malware software available? It would seem so but at a significantly higher price and might be paying for "protections" that really aren't needed. For the price, this met our needs and installed easily and quickly on 2 phones and a laptop about a month ago. No problems noted yet and it doesn't appear to have any impact on device performance.

Great piece of software. It was easy to install and does not bloat/make my PC slow like other programs. As soon as I installed it, it ran an initial scan and lo and behold, it found two malwares in my system (whereas Windows own defender had not found these two). It also stays resident on memory upon startup and scans any files on real time and keeps an active icon on the task bar (you can change this on the program's settings). Great piece of software to avoid any malware these days and you can secure 3 devices with it! I have it on my desktop and on my laptop and gives me an extra piece of mind. I game quite a bit on my desktop and I saw if has an option to not disturb any gaming sessions (it detects if a game is running in full screen).

I’m always looking for the best in internet security. Malwarebytes 4.0 offers great protection from malware, Trojans, viruses, worms, Spyware and Ransomware. It’s easy to upload on your PC, and scanning time is very fast. I scanned my laptop in under 5 minutes and it found several issues. It runs in the background and keeps my computer fast and protected at all times. It removes and protects against all potential unwanted programs, which creates a more efficient computer. Overall I am very pleased to have Malwarebytes 4.0 running in the background. It serves its purpose in providing me the peace of mind that my files and my identity are protected.

Not just the morning after Scan anymore

So we've all clicked on a link or email we probably shouldn't have anymore, panicked once we got a pop-up and worried about malware. Sure you alt-f4 or used Task Manager to kill that nefarious link, but how do you actually know your PC isn't infected with Malware and keyloggers? Well in the past, that's when you would use the PC equivalent of the morning after pill and download Malware Bytes Anti Malware. It was free and did a great job of detecting and deleting all *known* malwares at any given time. But what if there was some zero day? Or you had some old version of MBAM? Well the paid Premium version offers both real-time scanning, updated definitions and constant malware monitoring on top of your anti-virus so that you don't have to do all of this reactively, it takes care of this for you in real-time. Personally I am very careful about what I click on as an IT pro, but I do worry about my parents so this will be a life saver to help them avoid malware, keyloggers, and phishing attacks. A few things to note, this is a relative CPU intensive scan so you will want to make sure to schedule during off hours. That said the scan completed really quickly on my 6-core laptop with a 1TB SSD. Definitely recommend this software to anyone especially those with children or elderly parents who might be more susceptible to potential security attacks!

    Better than Norton!

Malwarebytes is LEGIT. This is the real deal --- and this is coming from someone who has sworn by one of it's longtime competitors Norton for a while. This is almost like a "smart"-anti-virus software in that it analyzes what could potentially be a threat well before it ever even becomes one. It has three types of scans --- a threat scan, s custom scan which finds potentially unwanted programs on my device, and a quick hyper scan to do everyday. So all that being said, here are my pros and cons. PROS - SUPER EASY setup and installation! - It works across all my devices, so if a virus affects one, it searches for that particular virus on all my devices - Hypervigilant system -- is really sensitive and doesn't leave any stone unturned - Blocks me from visiting those scam sites much better than my other spamblocker software - Pretty affordable, especially for what you get -Program doesn't take up too much space on my drive; less than 250mb! -- unlike its predecessor -It doesn't delete threats right away; it "quarantines" them so you can check them later and see if they need to be deleted CONS -Real time protection is NOT included in the free version. You will have to purchase the premium version - Only works on Firefox and Chrome - no Safari or IE - The scanning does take quite some time Overall, I am actually very pleased with this program and love that I have malware fighter that is updated and just as smart as my smart devices!!

I've been using Malwarebytes for years, starting with the free version. I updated to the Premium version a few years ago and have been very happy with my experience. I feel it is user friendly, from installation to actual use.
