Great Backpack, but theres not an easy way to lock it?! If I'm putting 5,000 dollars worth of camera gear in my backpack...it would be nice to be able to easily lock it.

It is too big comparing it to my other camara bag. My last bag fit all my stuff and it was still more compact than this one.

Though it does store your accessories nicely, it does an average job of storing the camera unless you put the camera in the upper storage compartment. It also looks like a black brick on your back (it has zero fashion)

The idea of a quick access pouch for your camera is great except the area that the camera resides in has little to zero protection from bumps and the elements.

    Decent Bag

Pros: Plenty of room for a DSLR camera with a couple of lenses and accessories such as a battery charger, flash, and mini tripod. Adjustable compartments attached with Velcro. Cons: the bottom part do not have any rubber or reinforcement material, so when you place it on the floor is suitable to wear and tear. The straps are not as ergonomic enough. Side pockets too small

Excellent Bag for photo and everyday use

My wife and I just got back from a trip to Europe. We walked on average 5-7 hours per day and I found the bag to be extremely comfortable on my shoulders even though it held a tripod, Canon DSLR and additional lenses along with some other essentials. I also like it's unique look since it doesn't scream camera bag and people couldn't tell that I had expensive camera equipment inside. I am very pleased with the overall quality and would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a high end photo backpack.

I love this BP because its easy to access everything, roomy enough to hold 300mm, 70mm, camera, filters and supplies. its comfortable to hike around (im a backpack hiker) as well as carry as brief case and its padded sufficient to protect lens and camera.

Don't be put off by the length of this review - there are too many reviews that aren't detailed enough! First off, those that gave this bag a poor review give poor excuses as to why it's not the bag for them. Second, you should know why you want a backpack as opposed to other storage/carrying solutions. I carry three lenses (18-55mm, 50mm, 70-300mm) and a Nikon D300s WITH battery grip attached. I even managed to fit my D80 body, too. It takes planning - and this isn't designed to carry ALL your gear, either. The compartments can be adjusted. There are two that can't and there is a reason for it. One is for the quick access pocket (to hold stuff like wallets, keys, sunglasses, a lens - it's up to you) and the other is sized for the Manfrotto Tripod OR you can place the dividers in there if you don't have one. The backpack comes with 2 straps for the outside of the backpack to hold a decent-sized tripod - that's what I do. It frees up the space inside to put your gear there. The backpack can hold a laptop up to a 17" Macbook (I swap between a 13" and 10" Netbook) and they fit nicely. The location of the laptop compartment sits on top of all the equipment - so your laptop must be a bit slim to lay flat on everything. There is only one thing that put me off that I later got used to. The opening of the backpack is located on the back - where the shoulder straps meet with the bag. The backpack is very comfortable and feels strong and not flimsy like some other bags. I'm a relatively big guy with an athletic build and find the shoulder straps to be a little short when wearing something like a winter coat. And finally, don't be lazy; don't order online without checking ANY bag firsthand unless you take the time to measure everything beforehand. You really have to see the bags in person to get an idea of what you can and cannot store.

nice looking, good feel, for me it is a little too bulky, but lots of compartments, and has a strap on side for tripod. good if you have a lot of lenses and accessories. has padding too for back.

This bag is designed for SLRs and their accessories but it's roomy enough to pack lots of other stuff as well...I use it when traveling by plane since airlines allow one carry-on and one "personal item" and this backpack functions well as my personal item. I can even fit a lot of my child's necessities when traveling. The laptop compartment is also useful for holding my iPad or magazines. Overall, great product!

I love how much customizing I can do on this bag. It works for my photo shoots outdoors and works well to carry to meetings in Hoth.

Fits my canon T3i, 2 lenses, small tripod, chords, charger, and more into it just fine with room to spare. Probably larger than I needed for what I carry but I figure if I get something bigger like this I can store everything I need in here like snacks!

    The backpack is okay

I'm still trying to find out why the bag opens to the back (straps) and not out to the front. I can fit everything in the bag, but I'm finding things like extra SD cards, cords, and power cables are not secured well in the bag. Lastly, the quality is of a $20 school backpack and not that of a pack that cost near $100.

    Horrible purchase

I purchased this online so I was unable to look through it, big mistake. I assumed it would be a good bag due to the name brand, i was wrong. All the dividers except for two small ones were sewn down. My mid-sized dSLR did not fit anywhere. There was nowhere to store a small steno pad. My laptop hardly fit. It is bulky and feels awkward when wearing it. I returned it the same day i recieved it. I would not recommend this as a purchase.
