    This is an amazing DVD/CD player. Rich, warm sound and it plays SACD. Use the balanced 2 channel output connections for the highest quality sound.

    Purchased a few weeks ago and my initial impressions are very positive. I have not experienced any negatives or bugs in system. Its a very quick loading quiet blue-ray loading with 2 HDMI outputs which works well. Awesome sound and picture. Playback thru a Marantz sr 7009 receiver with 11.2.4 defentitive technology speakers ATMOS setup using 4 BP8060 With A60 elevation modules, two sub woofers 2000 mods, and 4 bp2x as surround spks via pioneer elite Kudo 60 tv . The clarity of the sound is breathtaking. Played cd from broadway show "once" and it felt like I was right there on stage. The sound of the guitars was excellent. Watch blue ray "Transformers age of extinction" and was amazed at the picture and sound. Pricey setup but well worth it .Hoping to enjoy many more hours of viewing and listening to fantastic setup.

    This is the best blu-Ray player I have ever owned. The 3d crushes the cheap junk from other companies . Although the build quality on the sony 5000es was slightly better it was 800 dollars more did not offer 3d or XLR audio outputs. I feel the mcintosh is better but it is 5500 clams .
