Exactly what I was looking for. Great sound, perfect size, easy to use. Has connected to all my devices with zero issues (didn't even have to read the refreshingly short instructions). Waterproof was key, and it's holding up -- to be fair, I haven't really tested the limits of this, but I do use in the shower and never skips a beat :) Also, the design is way cooler than other portal speakers I've had. Didn't know I even cared about that, but now that I have a good looking speaker - I would be proud to sit it in the middle of friends/fam when we start getting together again. Overall very happy with this purchase. Would definitely recommend.

    Loud and compact speaker

It’s a loud and compact speaker. So if you are planning to listen to a music by placing it near you then you won’t feel the real thrill of the music. To enjoy this speaker you need to keep it far away and then listen to the music. The speaker generates approx 90% faithful reproduction of actual music which is good for the price point at which this speaker is available. The cons : This speaker has extra bass but that can be controlled by using equalizer built in the music app. I would give 5 star rating to this speaker

I bought this basically to serve as a music source for my garage gym, and was really mainly looking for portability. However, this has gotten more use in the house itself! The sound is full and rich, with warmth and bass surprising for a speaker of its size. And the battery has been solid, as well. Did I mention its style is similar to the old school Marshall guitar amps? Best Bluetooth speaker I’ve purchased!

"I recently purchased this speaker and I am blown away by the sound quality and bass. The controls are so easy to use and the battery life lasts for hours on end, making it the perfect speaker for all occasions. I highly recommend this speaker to anyone who loves great sound and wants a portable option that delivers on all fronts. Look no further, this is the speaker for you!"

I was debating between this and the Sonos Roam. My previous speaker was the dknight Magicbox (~$30) and this is a big upgrade! The immediate difference was noticing the presence of the music. Rather than coming from a speaker, the Sonos and Emberton filled the room with more richness- I couldn't go wrong with either. To me, the Sonos is more techie and the Marshall has a classic vibe. Sonos offers a smart Bluetooth that is small which has Sound Swap, Voice Assistant, wireless charging, and access to their Sonos radio (Warning: contains Ads). Marshall offers a simple Bluetooth that has good battery life, battery indicator, control knob (no EQ), 2 user control. If buying two speakers, the Sonos makes sense to create a stereo (in Wi-Fi only. Emberton is just mono). The sound stage is better with the Marshall and at lower volumes, it results in more bass to fill in the missing volume. Both speakers degrade at higher volume levels and should be only listened to at a max of around 75%. I like the Sonos triangle form and thought it was clever to aim the sound upwards because of directional sound (Emberton has 360ish sound. The sides are a bit muted and best listen to directly forward or back of their Marshall logo). Overall, I've enjoyed the Emberton more. I felt frustrated with the technology in Sonos (had problems with the on/off function vs standby, Wi-fi connection would stop the music randomly based upon signal strength) and the simplicity and easy controls of the Emberton. I had to wait for the Sonos to pair with my phone but with the Emberton, it was instant. They both have battery indicators but to check for the Sonos, I need to look on my phone for the Sonos App. With the Emberton, I don't need the added technology that the Sonos offers. Emberton is the old skool bluetooth that works for me.

Best wireless portable speaker in class!

I decided to purchase the Marshall Emberton speaker after extensive research. I’m an audiophile so I’m pretty picky when it comes to speakers for both home and auto. Got it during Black Friday deal for $99. I couldn’t be happier with this speaker. It even sounds better than my Bose Mini Soundlink 2 which cost $200. What stood out to me most is the bass output. I like to place it close to a wall so that the bass radiates throughout the entire room. I work in the operating room and the speakers in the room are inadequate to fill the room. This speaker definitely does that! Sound is very crisp and clear as well. Battery last twice as long as my Bose Soundlink mini. I like the fact there is a battery life indicator which no other wireless speaker has. You also have the ability to FF RW using the toggle. I thought the speaker would weigh more since it’s bigger but it actually weighs less than Bose Soundlink Mini. Even my colleagues have commented on how good this speaker sounds when they hear me playing music from it. A few of them already bought the same speaker because of me. I should get a kickback for advertising for them LOL This is the best wireless portable BT speaker I’ve ever heard in this class and price range. Get this speaker! You will not be disappointed!

Many factors play into what type of Bluetooth speaker is best for you. If small size with excellent sound quality is what you need the Mashall Emberton will fit the bill nicely. I place this on the mantal above my fireplace and the sound is impressive from anywhere in the room. It's portable. I'll sometimes pick it up and take it with me to the garage or the shower. On the flipside, if value and thundering sound is what you want, this is not the right speaker. The Emberton's price point is quite high for its size and although it has excellent quality sound, it's all relative to its size. It produces a better musical sound than my Klipsch Heritage Groove. But, the Emberton doesn't have a mic and speakerphone capability. Battery life is a plus and build quality seems top notch.

I have had many Bluetooth speakers in my day. Marshal has hand downs been a go to brand for big bands and it’s brought the same quality now to the regular consumer. The quality on the speaker is next to none. Sturdy rubberized black silicone-like material that surrounds the USB type-C Connection and the whole speaker itself. It’s nice and heavy and feels amazing. I remember touching the big Marshal amps my older cousins used to use, such a blast form the past. The neatest part is the metal grill with the Marshal logo. Absolutely amazing sound and quality. Easy to pair and high quality material means this a a no-brained to recommend to any audiophile.

Very happy with the sound from this little (but fairly heavy!) speaker. The initial battery charge took a few hours. I have used it for several hours since, and the battery indicator has only gone down a couple of bars. (I know, it's new, right?) Very easy to set up and pair. I use it when I sit outside with my dogs on days when it is too hot to wear my wireless headphones. One thing to note - I tried plugging into my computer's USB port to charge, and got a popup warning that the device requires more power than the USB port can provide. But I have a power strip with USB plug-ins, and this worked fine. The charging cord is a decent length at 4 feet (1.2 meters.) It is also great that the speaker can be used while it is charging. Not all have this feature.

The sound quality and build of the Emberton is first class. I purchased this because of the Marshall name and outdoor moisture rating as it will be used around a hot tub. This works perfect for my needs and seems to be much better build quality than other similar models. This is NOT going to blast out your neighbors and will fit to cover your entire palm. It's also heavier than other models and packs good bass. The guitar sound effects at turn on/off, volume up/down are a cool effect. Be sure to watch pricing changes as mine was original $150 and then went on sale for $100. Best Buy gave me the difference back as it had been under 30 days.
