Overall I like this watch and it does enough of what i need. Aside from looking very nice, like an elegant watch, it shows me texts, emails, facebook messages, twitter etc etc etc.
I keep my phone in my pocket and sometimes i miss important phone calls. this watch vibrates when i have an incoming call, text, facebook message, etc etc etc
It appears more durable than other smart watches around. I am happy with it.

It's called The Notifier because that's what it does best.. Alerts by vibration and shows subject & beginning of emails as well as incoming phone calls on watch face. Time function on separate battery good for a year plus. Notification functions are on rechargeable battery which lasts several days.. Program setup quite easy for Android or IOS. Customer service is excellent. Had download issue and they walked me through the solution as well as following up afterwards. Additional functions are phone locator, weather temperatures, flashlight, phone camera control & out of range warning. Moreover it looks and feels like a real watch, not a mini PC on your wrist. If your need is to be aware of your communications this watch is a no brainer.

Nice hybrid of Smart Watch and Analog Watch

Most people will never know this is a smart watch. However, it has the ability to display text messages, calendar reminders, email messages, Facebook notifications, weather and more. It is a nice, subtle way to receive these messages without having to take out your phone, unlock it, open the app and get whatever info you want. The Martian app, which lives on your smart phone, is quite comprehensive and enables significant amount of customization (which apps you want notifications from, what vibration patterns you want for each app, etc.). Battery life for the smart watch portion is about 4-5 days, if you turn it off at night. Charging is done via proprietary micro USB cable. And, this is also an analog watch, with a separate 2 year battery. Other features: LED flashlight, Do Not Disturb Mode, Find my Phone, Notification if you leave your phone behind (leash), multiple languages. firmware update. The watch is water resistant, not water proof. Some reviewers have criticized this, but it's a non-issue for me. Don't shower or swim with it and it will be fine. There are a couple of bugs in the app, which is why I lowered it one star. But I expect that to be worked out with future updates. So far, I really, really like this smart watch. Oh, and it does NOT look like you've strapped an iPod Nano to your wrist.

Nice-looking watch with minimum features

Watch looks really nice, especially with the white finish. However the watch doesn't offer many features, and the black scrollbar used to populate notification is too small to really be useful. The cover also fell off after usage, probably due to the glue melting. Not worth retail price, but decent at sale price. Customer support was great.

I am the kind of person that keeps my phone in my pocket a lot and on vibrate so I never notice when I get calls or texts. This thing has been a life saver. It vibrates and blinks (can be changed) when I get anything. It is a little bulky but its not bad at all. Doesnt bother me. Battery life is good when you first update it. Pairing is easy. The only thing I dont like, but is unavoidable, is that my Bluetooth on my phone has to be on but I get a decent battery life on my phone so no issues there.

After reading reviews for multiple weeks, I decided to give the Martian Notifier a try. I llove that I no longer have to pull my phone out of my pocket to keep up with what is going on at work, it's great to have the alerts I choose pushed right to my wrist. Also, the watch is great because of the stylish look (receive many compliments on it, and most people have no idea that I'm wearing a smart watch), and classic watch feel (very natural to wear, not like having a small brick on your wrist). Wasn't looking to get into the "computer on my arm" market, just needed something for work or a night out, where I could keep up with everything without being completely attached to my phone. As the name implies, this watch is for notifications only, there is no function to talk into, or text back from this watch. Because of this though, I have consistently been able to get 5 days of battery life on a single charge (I turn off the notification functionality at night to conserve battery). If you're looking for an entry-level smartwatch that can keep you updated on the essentials and provide you with muli-day battery life, definitely check out the Martian Notifier.

This watch looks and feels great. I love the idea of it being a smart watch but still looking very classy. Only issue I have found is connectivity is spotty at times. Especially if you walk out of range and then try to re-connect when back in range. It can be frustrating at times but this is something a software update should be able to fix.

Great WATCH, subpar notifications, Horrible band.

Within 48 hours of purchase, the original band had to be replaced as the clasp just "exploded" while walking into a meeting at my firm. I had to contact Martian directly as it was technically a "wear item" despite that it was new. In reference to the notifications, on an Android OS it has connectivity issues, and occasionally drops the bluetooth, as well as draining the batteries of both the notifier rechargeable battery in the watch and the cellphone battery from searching for the signal. The analog portion of the watch functions as it should, and has a clean look, really it's only "great aspect". In retrospect, I would recommend someone purchasing a Pebble or Samsung Gear watch for more features, and a better display. If this is for someone wanting a minimalist approach or entry-level notification watch this one meets but doesn't exceed any expectations. Hopefully this will help anyone looking for input on their potential purchase. Thanks

A very interesting take on the smart watch design it looks and feels like a premium watch but with all the cool smart watch elements. Now compared to the galaxy gear and the upcoming google wear this watch definitely lacks but is better compared to the pebble smart watch like the peeble it displays your sms and other notifications. But this watch takes it a bit further with its sports updates and real watch look. The peeble also has app to download and def a longer battery life. Def a good buy regardless of the others out one of the best of its kind

This is a good solid watch if all you want is notifications. The black one is strange compared to the white and the red because there are no markings for the hands at the bottom of the dial.

The battery life on this is amazing, the only thing that sucks is the time dial broke off my first 2 weeks I had it so I'm going back soon to have them replace it sense I got the warranty.

This a great smartwatch for someone who wants a watch first and an alert notifier second. Since this is a watch with a small screen embedded instead of being a full LCD screen the battery life is great and the watch function is viewable in bright light easily. This also looks more sophisticated or normal if that is a concern.

This is a great looking watch that provided exactly what I wanted. It combines a traditional analog watch with a small OLED display. It pairs with your Android or iOS smartphone to alert you with a vibration and/or text display when you receive a notification on your phone. You can decide which specific alerts you want as well as the vibration pattern and custom alerts. This has made my life so much easier to manage. I never miss a phone call anymore and I don't have to go digging into my pocket for my phone unless I see a text or email that I want to respond to right away. Long battery life. Highly recommended.

The device is really good for the price and use. I can see how this can be a needed device. Only problem is seems not all notifications are being sent if received withinin minutes. Highly recommended

The ability to get notifications combined with long battery life is a winner. The only thing missing is Google Now notifications. Its not important enough to downgrade the review.

I ended up returning this watch the same day I purchased it. It's not water proof and read horror stories about how easily it breaks when it comes in contact with water. I read that one user just washed his hands and it broke right after. I need something that was water proof and saw that the original pebble was the same price at the time ($99) looked up reviews for the pebble and saw that it was water proof/resistant and opted in for that one instead. I must say though the Martian definitely looks better than the pebble, but the pebble has so much more features than the Martians.

I purchased the watch as a gift and in setting it up found it very intuitive and easy to use even with the latest Apple iPhone (v6 Plus). It does as advertise and is a good "hands-free" device. Worth the price for the functionality it offers. Of course, it tells time great as well!

If all you need is a basic notification on who is calling you and who texted you what then this is for you! This watch will also tell you the weather and vibrates when someone is calling or texts you. It's very useful.
The charging port however is a slight downfall, its micro usb but it requires a special extra long male connector. If you lose this wire you will need to order one from Martian or try to find a similar one.
