I’ve used this washing machine for nearly a year now & it works just as it states. Clothes are clean, there have been no issues, easy to program and use, noise has never been an issue. BestBuy did a great job installing it. I also purchased the matching dryer & recommend both.

Love my washer and dryer. They are stacked and on the top floor near the bedrooms! This allowed us to put in an Ikea closet unit designed to our needs to keep things organized. There is no vibrations downstairs sounding like a helicopter is hovering over the house when they are running, even in the highest spin cycle! Love all the choices for soil levels, water temp. and spin speed!

Great product. Just had it installed a few weeks ago, but so far it gets the laundry very clean. The controls are simple and the wash options are nice(have not tried all options yet). Compared to my previous washers, it is pretty quiet when running. I would highly recommend this washer.

I couldn't be happier with our new Maytag Washer. It is so quiet compared to the last Washer we had. You could hear the old one through the entire house. This Maytag holds a larger load and cleans so much more efficiently that it is also taking less time to dry than before. The steam function seems to be cleaning better & the Hold Fan is FANtastic to have the ability to keep air moving through the washer after the cycle is finished to keep things from souring until we can move the clothes to the dryer. We read the BestBuy reviews on this and other washers and also read Consumer Reports' reviews that rated this at the top of their front-load washers! Geek Squad delivered and installed and those guys were great! Polite, clean and efficient themselves! Thanks!

Machine runs very quiet and doesn't shake at all like my last front loader. Large capacity for King sized comforters and bedding. Nice job of cleaning the clothes. I have no complaints at all so far. Many settings and options to choose from. Very nice machine.

Bought the front load washer and dryer to replace a 17 year old front loader. This machine has a larger capacity and works even better than the old one. Smooth and quiet...

After spending hours researching washers, we decided to go with this Maytag MHW5500FW front load washer. The washer really does an amazing job of cleaning the clothes. In addition, because of the speed of the spin cycle, the clothes are basically just damp when the cycle is finished and require very little time in the dryer. There are some conflicting reviews posted about the noisiness of the washer, but I think they can be reconciled. Our experience has been that throughout most of the wash cycle, the washer is very quiet--almost inaudible. However, for a very short time in the cycle, the washer does make a buzzing sound that can be a little disturbing. While we'd certainly prefer to have the washer be quiet throughout the entire cycle, we really think of it is a small sacrifice to bear for the outstanding cleaning performance of the washer.

I did quite a bit of research on washing machines before deciding to purchase this unit. It was highly recommending on Consumer Reports and from the users on BestBuy.com. The washer is quiet and very efficient. I was able to reduce the amount of loads I wash per week because the machine is able to hold more clothes. It does take longer to wash, but you make up for that in drying time. The spin cycle gets the clothes practically dry!

I've had this washer for about 6 months and it seems to work well. It senses your load so it only uses the exact amount of water it needs, it is quiet and clothes come out clean.

Had to replace my LG washer due to a bent drum. The repair guy said there were 4 parts they needed, but they could only locate 3 of them. Needless to say he didn't recommend another LG, so we were looking for something dependable with a good warranty that cleans as expected. Did some research online and decided on this Maytag. So far it has been great. The wash cycle times have been much less than our LG (45 mins vs 1 hr 15 for normal), and it seems to be using less water. The reviews on BB said it wasn't an HE washer, but I recall reading in the manual or the Maytag website that it was. Either way, it is much better than our old washer, and I have peace of mind with a 10 year warranty. We opted not to get the upgraded model with the automatic dispenser because we read they don't always work as expected, and it wasn't worth the extra money to us. Also, when we bought our washer, the following week it went on sale. Thank goodness BB has the price match because we were able to get the difference back. Thanks BB!

I really like my new washer. Haven't tried all the cycles yet. It is quiet, easy to use and quite efficient. The bleach dispenser does call for chlorine bleach only. If using color bleach you need to put it directly into the washer. Can do a larger load than my old washer, which is a great time saver.

Bought this unit with the matching dryer a couple of months ago. The capacity is excellent, as is the washing performance. The machine is easy to use and quiet compared to the last front-loader. Very pleased with the purchase, and Best Buy did a great job delivering and installing.

Bought this to replace my Frigidaire. This one is so much better! It is very quiet and doesn't shake the floor when it goes into maximum spin. I know a few have said it's noisy but I don't think so, it is much quieter than the one I had. Large capacity and my clothes come out clean. Cycles run a little longer than what I am used to but if it's saving energy and water I am all for it. Seal around the door has improved significantly. I still wipe it out after each load to avoid mold and mildew and keep the door propped open. I also keep the soap dispenser open to avoid mold and mildew setting in there too. I am very pleased, had to make a quick decision and so far it does everything I ask for.

Great washing machine, easy to use & quiet. I have two, one in my home the other at our lake home. I love the rapid wash, its perfect for bedding that gets used for two nights, it is quickly washed and back on the bed in no time. I would highly recommend this machine.

We replaced a Samsung washer that was 6 years old. The motherboard was no longer available. We researched washers at Consumer Reports and decided on this one. We ordered one from Lowe's on a Saturday. They told us it would be delivered within 7-10 days. When I called to confirm delivery I was told the machines was in the middle of the ocean and would be available in about 4-6 weeks and there were none available in the states. NOTE: Maytags are made in the U.S. (Actually, per maytag Customer Service, Michigan or Tennessee ). I called Best Buy and they said they had the washer available for delivery. I went to Best Buy and they not only had one available, but the pedestal also. They even PRICE MATCHED Lowes sale price. Reviews state that this is a noisy machine but we have it in our laundry room and do not find the machine noisy at all. We do not close the laundry room door as it is at the end of the hallway. Like I stated: SO FAR SO GOOD!

We have had a Neptune since they came out, when I’d died after 15+ years we switched to this one. Have been greatly pleased with the additional features of this machine. Haven’t heard it vibrate on spin cycle, very quiet and the clothes are coming out very clean. With 2 active children the dirt and smell is gone after washing. Awesome service so far.

After having to close doors to hear ourselves talk when our previous washer was operating, it is huge a relief to have this much quieter one that also does a great job with cleaning.

This replaced a 7 year old Samsung that imploded. I can't believe how incredibly smooth and quiet this machine is. Cleans better, with less water and a bigger capacity. Love the my cycle feature as well as the steam option. Best of all, it's union made in the USA. Well worth the extra cost compared to the other set we considered.
